A wasn’t really taken by the idea of an air fryer.
Anyway after lots of my friends advising me to get one I decided on the tower 10 in one.
I absolutely love it it is so versatile, quick to use, easy to use, and I believe healthier. Everything tastes lovely and crispy just a really nice way to cook products. The inside trays and shelves come out really easily and even the door comes off very easily to clean.
I honestly can’t recommend this product enough.
I bought this to cut down on using the main oven with utility bills rising. There are two adults and a teenager here so I wanted to be able to cook a range of things at once and was concerned a basket air fryer would limit me so thought shelves would be better.
There is ample room in this air fryer.
It heats up to 200 degrees and timer is 60 minutes . No ‘pre-heat’ time and it cooks quicker as smaller than a conventional/fan oven.
However, the rotisserie is something else, an added bonus for me and I use this nearly twice a week now.
It will take a small chicken (I normally take off the wings and legs and cook them in the bottom as the rotisserie is going round). The chicken is always tender and succulent..and crispy skin – never would get that taste in a normal oven! My friend has also bought one having sampled the chicken !
There are lots of air fryer recipes online and fb pages, but I use this as a mini oven really. Can even bake and dehydrate in it.
Well worth it!
Love this air frier!
the shelves mean you can cook a whole meal without worrying that some isn’t going to be cooked.
for the single person its great as you don’t need to use the oven therefore saving money and it cooks almost straight away so again saves time as no need to preheat first.
just pop food in and off you go.
only negative – reason for the 1 star less is that the fitting for the rotisserie does prevent you from using that space as a shelf.
Have used practically every day since arrived, made a roast, lasagne, pizza and apple pie. Perfect for chips. Not the biggest inside and do have to remember to move shelves about to get even cooking, fits a 20cm square tin perfectly .Delivered on time and in perfect condition.
Why did I hold off buying so long?
Wow. Even if I just cooked chickens in here for the next 6 months I won’t regret the purchase.
I honestly think I won’t even use the barbecue this summer – the chicken comes out immense.
Okay I did try one other thing (have only had it a week). I tried chips – good old fashioned chips and yes they tasted just like they did out of a chip pan when I was a kid.
100% recommend.
I want a chip basket now .
This is our second one as a fault developed to our first. The count down clock decided to work only when it felt like it which resulted in burnt food. We went for the manual control model for ease of use. Amazon were really good replacing with a new one the next day and collecting the broken one.
There are two of use and we find the size perfect for us. Great for oven chips. Can use all three trays if needed but you may have to change round the position to get even cooking. Extremely easy to clean. Have to say that it is better than we thought, however not had it long to comment on longevity of product.
Over all we are very pleased.
I searched the listings on Amazon for some time before settling on this model. I wanted a decent size so I could cook more than one thing at once with decent portions for two, and this unit fits the bill. It is great for oven fries, sausages and many other things. The door comes off for cleaning, which is great. It is much more efficient than running up a full oven and it is no doubt saving us electricity. It lost one star because I find the touch sensitive power button doesn’t always register my finger-press, but it only takes one or two extra attempts – the other buttons are fine.
Ok, sceptical at first but now it’s used almost daily. I like the almost instant heat and speed. Saves time (and no doubt money/electric) rather than putting the main oven on and waiting for it to get up to the right temperature. It’s transformed what I eat for my lunch, but possibly not in a healthy way! Iceland Greggs sausage roll just sayin!
Want some nice hand cut chips or fries in the evening without the need for a deep fat fryer? Get one of these bad boys! Parboil first (or dont, it’s not necessary) and toss in a bowl with a little olive oil and salt then bung them in Tower for about 20-25 minutes.
General cooking time lower than food instructions so keep an eye on it – you’ll get used to it very quickly.
This product saves so much money on cooking as it heats up straight away so no waiting around preheating a large oven. Only heats food & not your kitchen.
Food cooks quicker & food that should be cooked at 220C can only be cooked at 200C as this is the max temperature; however food is cooked through in less time even at this lower temperature so watch your food carefully at first to get used to this. Always put it in for 5 minutes less than recommended & check.
The capacity is large & can cook a roast chicken easily plus the potatoes & Yorkshire puddings.
Chips & roast potatoes come out crispy & evenly cooked as does part baked bread.
The oven heats evenly so it doesn’t matter if you’re using the top, middle or bottom the food cooks the same wherever positioned in the oven.
This air fryer has made my large oven redundant as it’s just the 2 of us at home. I would consider this oven for a tight or limited space or in a larger kitchen as an “overflow” oven as it doesn’t take up much space.
The only down side I can find is the on/start button can be quite hard to get to work, I have to press it quite hard & is an issue with my friends oven too so seems there is a design issue/knack to it.
Air fryers weren’t on my radar before I read an article in The Telegraph recently. It peaked my interest so I read more about them. Then I ordered thisTower air fryer and haven’t looked back. I’ve never had a good relationship with the grill built into my oven so this air fryer sorts out that problem, sausages are cooked beautifully. Jacket potatoes are to die for and take less time to cook than in a conventional oven, the skins are so crispy! This ticks so many of my boxes I’ve now ordered a similar product for my sister as a house warming gift.
I would recommend this Tower air fryer to all, it’s also very easy to keep clean.
Love this so much
Brilliant I’ve cooked alsorts in it
Quick and simple to use
We don’t bother with the cooking settings we just alter the time and temp
Open the door, put in settings and press go
Simple
And the fat runs to the bottom of the oven so better for you
The chicken rotisserie is OK however is very limited due to its size you can do a small to medium chicken only (think family of 3-4 size) but it is lovely and quicker than cooking in a normal way
Stick all the parts in a dishwasher easy peasy or manually wash ….my only observation which people might get funny with is the drip tray doesn’t stay very black long the coating comes off very easily but it’s a drip tray I genuinely don’t care! It really does not affect the use
This air fryer is excellent.
I have had quite a few Air Fryers, in the last few years. But this one beats them all.
I am so amazed with the outcome of the food, that I have been cooking, even chips taste and look better from this Air Fryer, than others I have had before.
This Air Fryer is good for money, good for taste, good for quickness, good on how quickly it can be cleaned.
I would recommend this item.
ideal for max two people.if more in your home try a bigger one. all cooking times are shortened, its a case of try half the time in instructions and adjust to suit. the top shelf will cook quicker than middle or bottom so rotate to get all cooked on time.will save you money. i have cooked oven chips, fish fingers, potatoes( frozen jackets ,slices and rissotto) and all came out great. 1/4 chicken was really good 20-25 mins. i sprayed it with oil and rubbed in spices. first time in ages i ate the skin.had to cut pizza but again great. given the price of power these days this will soon pay for itself.only 4 stars for the instructions and logos on the cooking panel. could better explain the controls.
There is no heating up of the oven and the cooking time is quicker . Its surprising how much you can get in the oven . A lot of the time I cook on the metal shelves and wash them up afterwards along with the drip tray at the bottom. Everything cooks well . Crispy if you want that with little or no oil . I’ve bought some silicone dishes that have low sides so I can still cook on the 3 shelves. Really love this air fryer . There are settings I haven’t tried yet .
So glad we bought an airfryer oven with shelves . More versatile.
I really like how easy it is too use. Has good auto cook settings. I use it for a wide range of food so have too set the time and temp the way I want it sometimes. Which is no problem.
I have used the rotisserie setting and the chicken turned out great. I struggled too believe it would cook right seeing as it cooked so quick. But was perfect and easy too use.
So far I have no negative for the air fryer and look forward too trying many different types of food.
I have owned this for a while now and what a brilliant thing it is! Easy to use producing perfect results. Two neighbours came for a meal yesterday where it cropped up in conversation. I stated how easy it is to use. I demonstrated making some chips. Easy! Quite amusing really. They both commented saying, they would not be the same done in a conventional oven. True. One neighbour is buying one. The second is considering it saying, “it is worth buying just to make chips.” There is something about this little unit. No idea what it is but the results are marvellous. Everything I have cooked has been perfect. I have used all shelves making a complete meal and it works. My oven has become redundant. Nuff said.
If you’re new to air fryers you’ll need some trial and error because it’s a very different way of cooking but this air fryer is fantastic.
Easy to use, cooks perfectly and easy to clean.
Here’s a recipe.
2-3 Chicken breasts
Spray with oil and use whatever dry seasoning you like.
Put in the air fryer and cook at 200 for 10 minutes, turn over and cook for 10 minutes.
Wrap in foil for 5 minutes.
You’ve now got gorgeous perfectly cooked, juicy and tender chicken breasts in 20 minutes without preheating.
Times differ depending on air fryer and meat thickness. Always make sure your food is cooked fully.
I bought this model as it has three shelves for air frying and can also be used as a rotisserie. It is easy to clean as the glass door on the front easily detaches. It is simple to use, you just set the temperature and time and off you go. For the rotisserie function, you set the temperature and time and then press a button to activate the rotor. Results so far have been very good, very crispy, moist chicken and super easy roast potatoes etc.
Just be aware that the manufacturer states the maximum weight for the rotisserie is 600g so it is not suitable for cooking a whole chicken apart from poussin which tend to weigh about 500g. You could fit a bigger chicken in the space but you risk damaging the motor. For the rotisserie, you are better off buying de-boned whole chickens and other prepared joints of meat, that way you can easily cook enough meat for two using the rotisserie…about 50% of a whole chicken is the carcass so using de-boned doubles the amount of meat you can cook. De-boned, seasoned, and trussed joints of meat are readily available and these are the best option. If you want a whole chicken, this unit will air fry a 1kg chicken.
Slight niggles, the temperature and time scales are basic and lack temperature scales, for example the temperature scale shows 160oC and 200oC…but no printed temperatures between the two so a little guesswork is required. The instructions for using the rotisserie are very overly complicated and show no diagram of what they are discussing; however, the rotisserie is actually very easy to use.
A very good unit for 80
OK, so we did a lot of research before buying this air fryer. Air fryers are just convection ovens. There is no magic frying technique without oil. So if you’re looking for a magical appliance that will stop the need for oil or turn your food from meh to amazing with no effort then save yourself the time and money and walk away. But that doesn’t mean air fryers are useless. They are great for even cooking, and also, if you tend to cook large meals and need more oven space, or conversely, you cook small meals and just want something you can shove some food in with all the ease of a microwave but the effect of a very nice oven. We bought this one specifically for the rotisserie and being honest we haven’t actually tried it out yet! But we have high hopes. The recipes in the manual are really good though. The lava cake recipe is amazing and we now have lava cake for dessert pretty much all the time! Though I would recommend adding a pinch of salt to the batter to bring out the flavour of the chocolate. It doesn’t save that much time on cooking *another point brought up in all air fryer marketing*, maybe a minute or two with chips? But this isn’t an issue with this model, but rather marketing of all air fryers.
Key points about this air fryer:
Easy to use
Pre set settings for certain foods are very helpful
Good amount of space
Rotisserie (and frying baskets are available on the Tower website which will do wonders for your chips as they spin as they cook for super even crispiness)
Easy enough to clean, dishwasher safe parts
Great recipes included
Love it, is easy access on the worktop.
Three shelves enable me to cook various things at once. Chips on top, ready made pies in the middle/vegetarian items and fish/sausage/bacon at the bottom. As I don’t want fat dripping on to vegetarian items.
Am still learning but happy at the moment
Today home made pizzas. Baked the base on parchment for 6 mins first, flipped them over and put on the topping. Back into the oven straight onto the rack. Lovely.
I’ve made a quiche in a glass dish. Blind baked it first. Was good, not soggy bottom, but may need a little longer I think.to make the base a little crispier.
I move things around when necessary, as one would with a non fan oven to give even cooking.
Only downside is a few bits have dropped between the two pieces of glass in the door and won’t come out. Hence 4 stars for cleaning
I love this air fryer. I previously had a round dish type air fryer and I didn’t use it nearly half as much as I use this. It’s perfect and I practically use it for everything rather than using my main oven. Not only does it reduce the cooking time but food somehow tastes better and it’s so much healthier. The rotisserie tool cooks chicken to perfection. Chips are amazing! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle. Also makes incredible roast potatoes. I roast vegetables char grill peppers. Breaded chicken, fish fingers and things like that cook perfectly too. I use the bottom tray/dish to cook a lovely herby tomato, onion and mushroom dish to accompany pasta and rice. When cooking for the whole family you’ll probably need to rotate the shelves because like an oven the food at the top cooks quicker.
Also perfect for reheating food and warming things like mince pies (a full tray took 5 minutes!) Toasts teacakes, crispy rolls and so on.
I have bought some silicone mats to try and protect the wire racks and makes cleaning the shelves so much easier. I love it that much I bought one for my mum. After seeing it in action my sister has bought one and now her sister in-law has bought one too. I highly recommend this air fryer. Honestly it’s the best thing I have bought and real value for money.
We’ve had ours for a couple of months now and I feel confident writing this review. I would say these ovens have their uses, rather than being ok for everything, in the same way as a microwave oven is.
I’ve cooked whole chickens, pork and beef joints on the rotisserie. They all came out great. Chickens are moist, like the ones you buy from a chicken spit shop. Beef was moist with a great colour. Bacon cooks in 13 mins and is crispy, sausages cook in 19 mins. My normal oven would have just got up to temperature then. All the fat and water drips down to the removable tray at the bottom.
It’s also absolutely great for things you want crispy (oven chips, hash browns, etc). The idea of filling all 3 shelves doesn’t really work unless you rotate them, the air gets blocked by each tray of food, and the spot that makes the obvious place for a single shelf (middle of the oven) is blocked by the rotisserie drive. That said we mainly use us one or two shelves and swap them round.
This oven saves loads of time and electricity! Cleaning the shelves is easy, cleaning the oven properly takes a little more effort but not much, the door comes off for ease.
Overall, like I said, this oven has it’s particular uses, and it’s very good and cost effective at them. I’d definitely recommend one.
I wa in two minds whether to get an air Fryer with just the basket, but I am pleased that I purshased this Tower unit with a rotisserie.
I has three mesh racks for other foods, the top two have to be removed for the rotisserie to be used
I cooked a Chicken of 1.2 kg on the spit without a problem and the juice/fat fell into the bottom tray. I did purchase some butchers string to tie the legs up. Roast potatoes from raw app 20 mins depending on the colour you want them, you can overide the set times and temperature if you wish… I like this machine and when cooking I just spray food that needs a little oil coating. Pork and beef are excellent in this machine… Super easy to clean.. Just wipe over with warm soapy water whilst still warm..
I love this air fryer! I done extensive research into many brands and went with this one as it has a glass door so you can keep an eye on the food while it cooks. Many reviews of other air fryers say food can be burnt in a matter of extra minutes so being able to see the food is a great bonus. It also has the rotisserie options which I found cool and this is what swayed my choice into buying this one. Only reason I’ve rated it 4 out of 5 is because it should be a little bit bigger. It shows you can spit roast a whole chicken on the rotisserie but it isn’t that simple. The airfryer is to small to fit even a medium sized chicken in. The legs and wings get stuck at the top and bottom of the fryer making it unable to spin so you can’t actually cook a whole chicken but everything else I’ve cooked in it has come out great. Worth the money
So for some time I’ve been thinking of buying an air fryer and had this one lined up for Black Friday.
Turns out my folks had also decided on an air fryer, so bought this, I told them if they didn’t get on with it, I’d give them the money for it and take it of their hands – long story short, it expired after 20 mins with a grinding noise and stopped fan – no bother, it was duly packed up and returned for a refund.
Working on the basis it was either crap, it they’d just been unlucky, plenty of good reviews ,but also more than a few poor ones (including stuck fans). I ordered one whilst still discounted on black Friday.
I am thrilled with it, whilst ai haven’t made anything from scratch yet, it’s been used loads instead of my oven, it’ll happily cook oven ready foods, often in half the time.
So far, it’s cooked a lasagna, fishcakes, various breaded chicken things, chips, waffles etc and all to perfection the oven chips were crisp and fluffy, unlike the anemic, dry things that come out my oven.
Not had a chance to use many of the functions, but keen to try the dehydration function.
It’s nice and easy to clean, perfect for a singleton or small family, I think I’d find a regular one too small.
As long as it keeps performing, it’ll continue to get regular use at home.
Wow I am thrilled with this product. Its so easy and simple to use. The model is aesthetically pleasing and doesn’t take up much room. As well as being a healthy option for cooking it does the job well. I have made my oven redundant through buying this product. It’s cheap to run and ideal for a person with disabilities. The price is reasonable too. My only criticism is that the chicken size for rotisserie needs to be small. I would recommend this product for a starter flat or small family.
I had used an air fryer before but when I had to get a new one due to circumstances I went for this one, bigger, wider, and digital, had to be the deal of the year when it dropped to 60 odd quid, anyways it turned up and after the initial what does that do, where does that go etc. I got it up and running…there’s a selection of pre programmed cooking times that correspond with a picture of what you’re cooking ( you have use a bit of poetic licence with this, I was cooking bacon so I used the picture of a steak)….cooking somethig requires you to keep an eye on it as the times ie: steak is a set 20 minutes so you don’t want that long for bacon, you can set the times yourself by just pressing the left up and down arrows, the right arrows are for temperature if you want to change it, it cooks steaks to perfection along with chicken, bacon etc, I cooked a loin of pork using the rotisserie function and apart from catching and burning on one tiny bit that was too close to the element it came out absolutely gorgeous, ive only used my main oven once since getting this, that was only for a pizza….
If you’re thinking of going for an air fryer then spend some extra and get yourself one of these, well worth it for what it can do
It works a whole lot better than my old fryer, easier to clean and cooks better. I now use for a far wider range of foods, all in all one of my better purchases.
Two months into purchase.
The cooker is my go to devise for any recipe instruction that tells me to cook in an oven for X minutes, obviously it has to fit. I have just heated frozen breakfast rolls, perfect, yesterday had, black pudding and bacon, a fat free meal. My oven is now only used for larger food.
Some of the reviewers here obviously have had a bad experience, not so with me.
Bought this to replace my mini oven/grill as I live alone and never use my main oven. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and so far it’s been great. No pre heat needed so saves energy. I’m a pescatarian and so far have cooked salmon fillets, veg sausages, roast potatoes, jacket spuds, roasted veg, chips, pizza, baked apples etc. Great results everytime and much quicker. Easy to use. For the price it’s a great piece of kit. Easy to clean down the trays after use with hot soapy water then a wipe inside and the door. Really pleased with it, fan is slightly noisy but not enough to bother me. Light is helpful. Not used the rotisserie as yet.
Absolutely brilliant little cooker. It cooks 5 rashers of bacon per shelf which turns out perfect on a 10 minute setting. The perforated shelves mean that the underside of food cooks as well as the top, with no turning necessary. I’ve even taken the handle off my non stick frying pan so it’ll fit in the cooker and I can now do omelette or fried egg just as perfectly as on the hob of my cooker. In fact I’ve done away with my cooker and now just use this for everything! I’ll probably never use the rotating spit to cook a chicken, as I find it far cheaper to buy ready cooked chicken from the supermarket, but the options there I guess. The only one thing I’d complain about is the fact that because the spit mechanism protrudes, it prevents you from using the centre section of the oven to place a shelf! A completely stupid design flaw if you ask me. There’s even a slot for a shelf, but the shelf bangs up against this damned spit mechanism when it’s part way in. I’d have preferred no spit and a fully usable oven space to be honest. I’ll still give it 5 stars despite this, because the rest of it is such good value for money compared with what else is out there. The wattage is high, the oven is smaller, so it cooks super quick. I chose the manual ‘knob’ version, which is not only cheaper, but is also much faster to use than forever tapping on the temperature and timer buttons of a digital display. I don’t normally do reviews, but this really does deserve it. You won’t be disappointed I guarantee!
Opinions are my wife’s – We’ve had it about 3 weeks, cooked a small chicken on the spit which was excellent, and the fat dripped into the tray, so you’re not eating excess fat which is healthier. The instruction booklet is not very helpful and is very hard to read as the text is small and in grey print, however it can be viewed on-line. There isn’t much information about how to cook different foods, so its a case of poke and hope… We’ve had an issue with the on/off button in that it doesn’t always respond when touched, seems you have to wake it up by opening the door. Overall its good value for money once you have got used to it.
I have to admit to being a bit sceptical about this fryer but can honestly say that I absolutely love it.
I have hardly used my oven since I got it a couple of weeks ago. It crisps up the outside of the food whilst keeping the inside lovely and moist.
I have cooked fish, sausages, steak (not the best for thick steaks) hash browns, chips, scampi etc and reheated loads of other stuff.
Very easy to clean. Just wipe the mesh trays with a damp cloth. I line the ‘drip tray’ with tinfoil which can be thrown away.
Perfect for a couple but not sure it would be great for a family.
Brilliant little oven air fryer, should have bought one ages ago I don’t like the single pull out drawer type so when I saw someone put this on Tiktok obviously got it free lucky so and so’s I bought it, was a bit ticked off it has been very cheap though 65 before and I had to pay 98 but doing it over the 5 months so 20 a month but there we are is what it is, I have 4 girls 12 years down to 3 years old and this cooks enough for all of us, everything comes out perfectly, my oven is on its last legs and can’t afford a new one for quite a while so this was a perfect purchase, really easy to clean, love chucking in a roll with cheese and other stuff on it for a quick snack, no preheating for 20 minutes with the oven, cooked a 1.167kg chicken just need to tie up the legs and wings and some Aunt Bessie duck oil roast potatoes and it all came out really nice and juicy. Just hope it lasts need to remember to do the extra warranty I would have liked the bigger 22l one but didn’t like the manual old school looking buttons and only two trays to cook on, I haven’t used the dodgy oven for a few days now and don’t plan on it really as don’t need to use it unless I cook for more people. super impressed with this so far just need to get to the shops and see what else I can chuck in it. Have seen its best to get 8 inch pizza and use the two bottom trays as top can burn them switch them over half way through. Lovely jubbly
I previously had a more expensive air fryer with shelves that I loved, until it blew up after 5 months! Didn’t want to buy the same one, so went for this one instead. It is just as good and much better value. I’ve used it to make chips (use a little rapeseed oil) and they are perfect. Works really well to dehydrate fruit for a G&T garnish way faster than an oven.
The shelves are so much better than a basket and allow all the edges to crisp evenly. I haven’t used the rotisserie yet, but think it’d have to be a pretty small chicken to be honest.
Would definitely recommend, but these things are pretty bulky and take up a lot of space, and it doesn’t fit in my kitchen cupboards. The door can be removed for easy cleaning which is useful.
I had gotten this tower version as an upgrade to an earlier tower airfryer. They’re incomparable. This model is vastly superior. The frying concept has fundamentally changed. The older model just had one basket compartment whereas this new version has the capability to cook three different trays. (3 aluminium mesh trays come with it). So you can put a couple of pies in first on one tray, then a while later, put some chips in on a different tray and then put some onion rings in on a different tray later so that they all cook and be ready at the same time. There’s a handy light so that you can see how the frying is getting on. The fryer is digital and easy to use and easy clean. Very happy with it.
This product is absolutely good. Due to human error on part of mine self it was first and foremast mistakenly purchased for other uses than those stated in the description, which, alas, I did not read prior to placing my order. I had a lovely time unboxing this product, which I unfortunately did not film, so no monetising that bad boy on the Yunes Tubes. I activated the product by plugging it into the 240v main supply to my house, with a helping hand from our supplier Scottish Power (who I will review next, as soon as I have finished this one). Plug and play, made my day. However, after 14 hours of the product chugging away at 200 degrees Celsius (392 Fahrenheit), the house was no warmer, and my hands and most of my toes were freezing cold. My left index tootsie was toasty though, all thanks to a Findus Crispy Pancake that I had fashioned into a finger mitten, adapted for foot fingers (which I will be reviewing as soon as I have finished this review and the review for British Gas – I changed supplier a couple of sentences ago). This was the moment of enlightenment, awakening, and vacancy, through realisation that this was not meant to be used to fry the air, but indeed to fry food, without oil, using air. I did have concerns that the planet would suffer as we should not be burning air when we already have too much See O2 in the atmos sphere. However, this problem was yet another mistake on my part, as it is neither a problem, nor a mistake. To summarise, the chicken rotated at roughly one rotation per turn, which is as expected. The Frey Bentos Vegetable Balti Pie, approved by the vegetables of society, cooked 14 seconds faster than in the conventional convectional fan-assisted oven, which meant I was already one bite in before my wife managed to be also one bite in. Thank you to Octopus Energy also for giving me the juice to fuel this lovely air toaster. Forever friends. Now to sign off here and clean it using tap supplied H Too Oh from United Utilities, which is approximately 5 times cheaper than the French company Evian wanted to sell it to me for. Save the world, minimise plastic. Dear friends.
Have now be using this product for more than a year since buying it. Felt I needed to review after reading some other reviews of product. This review is based on using the product virtually daily for over a year.
The tower air fryer is the best ever piece of kitchen equipment for perfect chips, bacon, sausages, gammon, rotisserie chicken and any other products that can be grilled or oven cooked.
I never use the pre set function for different food and always just choose my own temp and time based on what I am cooking. Different foods needing different cooking times are put in accordingly, due to the product having 3 removable shelves. We never use cooking oil on anything we cook in it. Top shelf seems to cook the food fastest.
The digital version has worked without fail now for more than a year. The fryer is very easy to wipe clean, (will wipe clean after most uses) the door is very easy to remove and replace after cleaning and has not had any issues. Mechanism for removing door and replacing door is very sturdy as long as some care is shown when doing this.
Some very good cook books out there including tower cookbook that I purchased on Amazon after buying product.
All in all, a fantastic product that is easy to use and produces very healthy, tasty results every time.
We have had this for a few months now and bought it as a healthier alternative to frying with oil. It certainly does that. And for vast majority of cases you can’t even tell the difference in my view, infact some things taste better.
What was a nice bonus was discovering that many things are quicker to cook in this compared to our oven actaully so we do use this quite often. And the rotisserie is very good, have used it only once but the chicken came out so tender and soft and juicy!
It has also got other functions like fruit drying. Which didn’t work too well, takes hours and in the end the fruit wasn’t dried, it was soggy. Hence 4 stars or would have given it 5.
Last thing, it is quite big compared to other air fryers so just make sure you check the measurements to ensure you have space in your kitchen.
My son wanted an air fryer for his upcoming time at University. I chose this one for three reasons, the size, ease of cleaning and the rotisserie option. I used it for a month before he was due to leave and it was fantastic. My bills are greatly reduced and there are less dishes being used to cook with. My favourite aspect of it is the rotisserie. It’s so quick and easy to produce a crispy, succulent small chicken for 3 people (and a dog). I did a delicious fall apart pork roast on it last night. We have done many handmade pizzas and the boys particularly love the sweet potato chips. Even frozen breaded cod comes out like restaurant quality. I didn’t want to lose the air fryer so I ended up buying a new one for my son a week before he left. He’s now enjoying his own proper meals in University and I’m sure he’ll be gaining popularity over it.
I’m so glad I joined the air fryer family this product is fantastic. Easy to use and has cooked us some delicious food. The rotisserie chicken comes out perfect but ensure your buy a small chicken from the butchers as it is a small space. It cooks steak to perfection my husband has medium well done so I put his in top shelf and I like medium rare so I go in the middle. The timing settings are great help and can even set the temp and time yourself. Only reason I marked cleaning as a 4 is because crumbs get inbetween the door and are hard to get to I had to use a ear bud to get out some crumbs but this really isn’t a hassle as I want to keep it clean for longer use.
First it arrived within 4 days from the UK to the Republic of Ireland. Very surprised as I’ve bought things before from the UK and they took almost a month to arrive. I even started shopping on amazon.de as before now, things arrived from Germany quicker than from the UK! Not anymore I’m happy to say.
The Tower Air-fryer: I tested it first with 2 frozen jambons from Aldi. 20 minutes later, I had perfect jambons, YUM! Tonight I did a few McCains frozen chips, again perfect, no need to turn over in the oven, chip butties with butter, YUM!
I cooked a frozen lasagne in the microwave and browned it in the air fryer at 200 degrees C. Again worked as expected.
I’m very pleased with my Tower 5-in-1 air fryer oven, VERY HAPPY! I had a smaller air fryer from argos which worked well, but limited me to only cooking one item at a time. The Tower allows me to cook a few things at the same time, and I love the LARGE OVEN SIZE. Definitely would recommend.
This is a great air fryer oven. There are so many nowadays I was spoilt for choice and really didn’t know which one to get. After doing some research and reading reviews I decided on this one as I didn’t want to spend hundreds but I also specifically wanted one with a rotisserie function so this was a good fit. This cooks perfect chicken every time I’m very impressed, I could never get my roasts this juicy in a normal oven! Just be aware that it is quite small compared to others so will not fit a normal sized chicken, my video shows a baby chicken 0.9 kg from Tesco, I’ve since fit a small 1.4kg size and I doubt it’ll be able to fit larger, one tip is make sure the legs are tied up and wings tucked in and cook with a lemon inside the cavity for extra juiciness! On top of that it is extremely easy to clean! All shelves fit in dishwasher and I wipe the inside all around every time after use. I doubt I’ll ever use my normal oven again!
Bought this on a bit of a whim hoping to use it for more healthy frying, what I didn’t expect is that it’s become so incredibly useful and I use it all the time.
Yes of course it’s brilliant for chips, but equally good for sausages, portobello mushrooms, bbq ribs, hot chicken wings, fish cakes, you name it you can probably cook it in this and it will be a healthier way of cooking.
I love the simplicity of the controls, just two knobs, no buttons or digital displays and programs.
It’s a whim that hasn’t ended up in the back of a cupboard and collecting dust, I love it!
This is by far the best kitchen gadget I have. I bought this in the black Friday deals 2020 and was amazed by it. I use it almost every day. The rotisserie cooks meat beautifully, I have cooked a medium chicken, ham joint and a small joint of beef too. All cooked in an hour and by far the best way in my opinion. If you like beef juicy then 1 hour on 160 on the rotisserie is perfect same with the ham.
I have cooked allsorts from chips, pies, pizza and also cooked fresh fish in foil too.
I can’t rate it more. My Dad as just bought one today and absolutely loves it allready and only cooked sausage in it so far.
Easy to clean also and the rotisserie tool is also easy to fit the knack is to place the pointed side in first on a tilt and then the other side just slots in. Takes seconds and then just lifts out easy with the tool provided when your meat is cooked
I’ve only just received it and have tried two things , sausages with veg and a cake. It does suggest sausages aren’t a good idea due to high fat content but we are vegan so they aren’t the typical sausages. We are a family of six and managed to fit 2 sausages each, some cauliflower and some courgette and peppers. The oven is very small and we don’t eat big portions. The sausages cooked great and very quickly, the cauliflower also went brown much quicker than in my gas oven.
The cake cooked in about the same time as would of in the gas oven but it does have a crispy top, more so than if it had been done in the gas oven.
I wish it didn’t come with the rotisserie section or that it was removable as it would be great to have the option of putting one of the trays there. Without being able to do that it does limit the foods you can fit on the trays due to how close they are with each other.
The oven does produce noise as the fan works but isn’t off putting . The outside does get warm but not enough to cause worry. Hot air blows out the back which is very warm and you would need to be aware of this when placing the appliance.
It’s very easy to clean and very easy to use .
I’ll try and update this review in a couple of months as we plant to use this frequently, let’s hope it lasts.
You can be a master chef, just get one of these. I have waited before posting so as to give an accurate account of performance on a variety of tasks.
If you like bacon butties? Better butter your bread quickly because by the time you get yourself a plate, bread, butter and brown sauce – master chef has cooked your bacon.
Like healthy but crave chips? No fat at all, Lidel own brand were fluffy, crispy & 1/3 off the cooking time.
Well those tests were to simple:
So how about scones (you do need some silicon paper as the shelves are wire). Light and fluffy, brilliant rise with golden brown tops.
Whole spit roast chicken: 1.436Kg (to be precise) Lidel cooking time 1Hr 40mins. In 60mins I was slicing and dicing it with golden brown crispy skin and succulent meat.
Master chef (as I call it) is also saving you money on the electric bill 🙂
I have only one potential negative: If you are sensitive to noise, the vortex is like running a mini jet engine. It is similar to having your cooker hood on full tilt.
I have a couple of little niggles:
1) the drip/crumb tray fits in the bottom easily. The wire rack, of which there are three and all the same size, that sits above it also fits easily. The other two racks don’t glide in, it needs a fair bit of force to get them in. They are slacking off a little with use
2) the door needs a final push right at the end to close it. Sounds obvious, right? Well, it’s not as natural as you’d like to think, especially after shifting a tabletop oven that had a lovely door that didn’t need that final push
That’s it. The rest is all good stuff. It cooks like a dream, so far I’ve tried frozen fish in a light breadcrumb, fresh salmon fillet, sweet potato and asparagus. All on manual settings which are easy to do and change as the cooking happens.
I like having a door with glass, to monitor what’s happening. I very much like that the door comes off. The fresh salmon – I’m doing a fillet in marinade from Aldi, pop it on a bit of foil (just enough to fold the sides and catch the juices, 185 degrees, 8 mins, 2nd shelf – it crisps on the top and flakes as soon as the fork touches it. It’s got a flavour that far exceeds the tabletop oven. Love it. The salmon and the air frye
I’d always been unsure of air fryers, but I wish I had got one earlier. It has totally changed the way I cook. I didn’t think it was possible to cook a whole chicken in 40 minutes, but I was so wrong.
Our oven broke a few weeks ago, but it wasn’t a problem. We’ve relied on the air fryer. In fact, I think some foods taste better cooked in the air fryer.
Having 3 shelves mean you can cook multiple items at once. I do rotate the shelves when using more than one tray to ensure that food is cooked evenly. It is so easy to clean, and the removable door really helps with cleaning.
I highly recommend this product.
We’ve used this daily since buying it 13 months ago so its been fantastic for cooking, it’s so quick! So no issues there, but my door has shattered when cleaning and the timer knob has split and come away. I’ve contacted the tower spares department who can’t provide me with either. They only get spare knobs when they get a faulty item back and strangely they can’t provide a new door unit. Which as the whole thing comes off for cleaning, I figured it would be an easy swap. Seems daft to get a new one when it works fine. I didn’t extend my warranty to 5 years. I suggest everyone does.
Great piece of equipment for the kitchen. It’s not that big, but ideal for one or two people or preparing side items for a main meal. Battered food is always crispy and dry and gives excellent results for naan, pizza etc. I bought a rotating drum for the rottisserie axle so that I could roast cashews, works really well and so much easier than a tray in a conventional oven.
Good range of temperatures and an independent timer as well as pre-set programmes.
Very easy to clean, and the outside is a smooth flat surface which is easy to wipe down. I got mine when they were on offer at 79.99 and it really is money well spent.
Was well packaged and protected when it arrived.
Delighted with this purchase.
Very pleased with this oven…I do find it a little difficult to clean. Don’t do what I did..I used oven cleaner inside, and it discolored the silver part inside, (silly me)..It has not spoiled the workings of this oven though. I absolutely love it. There is only my husband and I so this oven is very handy. I bought the oven, because my big oven packed up…I have not replaced it, as I love this oven so much, it cooks a lot faster too. Christmas, I put the turkey into my Halogen oven, then roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding (Shop bought) into my little oven with stuffing… My home made wedges and roasties come out lovely and crisp. I part boil then used goose fat. Delicious. I highly recommend this wonderful oven. If you are cooking fish, do not cook for the recommended time, as the fish will come out dry. This little gem cooks a lot faster than a normal sized oven. I cooked Salmon for 10 mins and it was perfect, same with Cod.
We’ve had our Tower air oven for a good few weeks now, and purchased it when it was on special offer…. We especially liked this one because it had separate shelves rather than baskets. We also chose the mechanical timer. The digital timer model is more expensive, but you can achieve more accurate times. It does take up some counter top space so you must obviously have the room in the first place. It’s ideal for two people and we’ve used it most days. I particularly like my bacon cooked in it! …. Some people have said, use it like you do your conventional oven, which is true to a certain extent, but we have still experimented in order to get the best from ours…. It definitely saves energy consumption because you don’t have to wait for it to heat up like you would do with your existing. Things still take roughly the same amount of time to cook, except they cook in a much healthier way, but they do cook in a much more even way too. Up to now we have used ours for pretty much all of the things we cook in our conventional fan oven. In fact our conventional oven has hardly been on at all. And because it has a rotisserie you can even cook a “small” chicken. Our first roast was completed in around 1hr 10mins which included roast potatoes, and vegetables from the hob…. All in all we are very impressed with this Air Oven. I was worried it would just be another one of those kitchen gadgets that end up stuck in a cupboard. Far from it, and if you’re into a healthier way of cooking whilst saving money, then I’d recommend this.
Love everything about this air fryer. Cheap to run, easy to clean, the basket in the pic (need to be bought separately) fits on the rotisserie part in the fryer, tumbles around making lovely chips and more.. I’ve cooked chicken on the rotisserie, delicious. What can go in the oven can go in here. Cooks in less time too. Plus quiet when running.
I bought the manual one rather than digital due to the pressing of buttons…no good with that as it’s to technical…….. manual is so easy….and I thought I might be using once in a while….. almost daily……. the chips are amazing… really happy…. lots of room… don’t buy a small one you will regret…..
Although the oven was a great addition to the kitchen and I probably use it most days , the manual timer was just a disaster. Twice now with two separate ovens ,we’ve had the dial fail on us. It simply didn’t click back fully after only a few months of ( careful) use. Without the ping to tell you when the time is up and in fact having to switch the oven off at the mains left us just watching it and switching the power off ourselves most times . It was sporadic so not reliable. Refunded now by Amazon , so I’ll be buying the same oven with a digital timer. ( slightly more expensive ) Sadly the money saved in purchasing a manually timed appliance wasn’t worth the worry. In other respects this is a useful and compact little oven with easy cleaning and a good look to it and I’ll be happy to buy the other hopefully, more reliable product design.
Amazing little fryer. Very easy to operate and clean. Chips or wedges come out divine! Managed to fit in 1.6kg chicken but it was scraping the top mesh with the leg a little bit so next time will have to get a smaller one. The chicken came out cooked to perfection, even colour all around. Best purchase of the year so far.
The racks are easy to clean too. Really pleased and definitely recommend it.
Never having used one before and with so many air fryers on the market it was hard to know which one to choose. This one seemed versatile (it had a spit mechanism included) and reasonable value so we took a step of faith and bought it. The good news is that we have used it for cooking lots of different types of food and it has produced good results even though the instructions were poor and, despite buying a supplemental air fryer cook book, there are elements of “guess work” as to how to get the right results. For me, apart from the speed and thorough cooking of the various foods, the biggest surprise and to my delight, is how easy it is to clean after cooking. The wire cooking trays are a good size to fit in most washing up bowls or sinks and they wash clean and are dried in seconds!
So easy to use. Didn’t even bother reading the instructions as it is straightforward.
Faster than expected. I use it mostly for my toddlers food as I don’t want to use too much oil in his food.
I haven’t yet managed to perfectly fry fresh potatoes. Using the set program, they seem to burn on the outside and are uncooked inside.
So I use it with frozen or the fresh ready sliced ones.
I’ve cooked burgers, which came out good, all the fat accumulated on the bottom tray so good for diet!
Didn’t like the way it cooked chicken thighs but over all is a good alternative for fast cooking instead of turning the oven on for a few bits.
Edit. I have been using this for almost 6 months. I can’t fault it! Makes a mean pizza and chicken nuggets by the way on 10′!
I bought this because the wife wanted an air fryer and I thought this sort would be better than the sort with a bucket. I didn’t really think it would be used much, but we both use every day, I cook my breakfast bacon and black pudding in it, it does bacon very nicely and is quicker than putting the grill on. I have cooked both home made chips and frozen oven chips in it, things like chicken goujons as well.
Only small negative is the manufacturer says not to cook sausages in it.
Airfryers have come a long way since I got my first one in 2014, which was a Philips. This one has more space and it’s a bit cheaper. It also has a clear transparent window and light, so that I can see the state of the cooking without opening it.
My old Philips broke down after 7 years due to poor care on my part. I let small crumbs of food get into it, which got stuck in the air vents, and it started to smell horribly during cooking. Don’t be lazy and dump the entire bag of frozen chicken without filtering out the crumbs first. Your air fryer will thank you for it years down the line.
If you’re on the fence about getting an air fryer, this isn’t a bad choice. For frozen food like chicken and chips, you don’t need to add any oil at all since they’re always precoated in a bit of oil. You can achieve the same result in a fan oven, but those tend to be larger and much slower to cook.
Does exactly what it should do. Precise oven cooking with no pre-heating. It intuitively works it’s way into cooking as a second oven especially if your oven is average or inappropriately placed.
Because air enters the oven from the top, expect lovely browning. It’s great for roasting and baking but it’s not good at pizzas as the heat doesn’t travel down to cook the base.
It has sped up cooking, produces very good food, the trays are a big plus on this one vs. Single tray air fryers.
No regrets in buying this. It has replaced my primary oven for many tasks so I can’t fault it.
I have tried rotisserie but unsuccessfully.
Highly recommend.
I just love this machine it is excellent value for money it cooks everything you cook in a oven only quicker not used the rotisserie yet but its that works like everything else then I will be more than happy as it is no more bending down to the oven if something says oven cook this will do it except frozen burgers for some reason it will not do them not a problem though they just go under the grill or on the barbecue I have no problem recommending this machine to everyone
Bought this and really happy, just took little while to sort out best times and temperature for cooking. Three trays but only small gap between bottom two and top one tends to cook quicker and catch a bit as near element. This does give off heat so I put on silicone mat and be careful no cupboard above it. The instructions are ok but no recipes at all which I thought would be great . The rottiserie is very fiddly and again instructions dreadful for this. Also only a very small chicken will fit. Easy to clean. Drip tray provided for bottom. Only thing I can’t work out is dials go to 200 but the segments of heat are not exact if they should be in tens
Great product for a single person. Easy to use. Easy to clean. You can follow built in programmes but I usually free style it and set my own temperature and time, which you can do as soon as you switch it on. Bit of trial and error at first, but no disasters. If the cooking time set is too long and you can see that food is done you can simply press the timing arrow repeatedly down to 1 minute remaining. (It will not let you take it to 0). You can use the wire shelves to cook a whole meal, e.g I can cook fish and sweet potato fries together, swapping the shelves round half way so that the fries can crisp up. I wouldn’t think this was suitable for a family, 2 people at a push. I use it most days now as it is so much easier to clean than my main oven and running costs are much cheaper. It’s great to be able to turn the light on quickly to check the cooking progress and the light turns off automatically after a minute. Really thought I was taking a chance on this when I bought it. I have no regrets and I’m very impressed. Would recommend.
This is an amazing bit of kit. Originally bought because we wanted something multifunctional and the dehydrator function appealed to us to try and make biltong, it’s quickly become our main oven. We’ve baked cakes, roasted joints of meat, dried peppers and mushrooms (not quite got to biltong yet but we’re working on it). Our Sunday lunch cooking time has halved, and the meat is always nice and juicy. it’s so easy to clean, the racks are great and the door detaches easily to give you chance to clean out the crumbs. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with a gas oven looking to find a way to save money by using an electric alternative, or anyone who just wants a small easy to manage oven. It’s great.
This is an excellent Air Fryer/Oven
It is easy to clean with every tray, even the drip tray is removal but the biggest surprise was that the door is removable to wash also.
The only drawback I have found is that the dials to control the time and temperature are not an accurate measure, if you want something on for 15 minutes you have to guess as the markings do not line up with the numerous markers and it is the same as the temperature markings
How did I live without this little machine…it is amazing. Can cook everything in this one and the shelving makes it ideal to layer up food and cook a whole meal. Hotter at the top so foods requiring higher temperatures can be placed above other food. Everything cooks so well and food can be monitored as it is cooking and time or temperatures adjusted as necessary. Food is much healthier and even oven chips come out crispier than in conventional oven. Homemade chips take tiniest amount of oil for delicious chips and the rotisserie chicken is to die for. No recipes per se but everything can be googled or plenty of books around.
Having gone with out an oven for 1 year I decided to buy this, having read the reviews good and bad I thought it should be ok for what I need. So far I have cooked sausages, chips, jacket potato…oh how I have missed crispy skin, frozen pie, pork chops and I have also baked a cake and rock buns. It was a bit of a guessing game on some items but as long as you write down then next time you have a reference for times and temperature. So all in all I think it’s amazing and great value for money.
Best kitchen appliance i ever bought. I bought this thinking it was going to be be like many other appliances i bought in the past use it once and end up in the back of the cupboard but not at all, i have been using this almost daily and it almost replaced my kitchen oven 100%. It cooks much faster with no fat and everything comes out crispy and crunchy. Already did several rotisserie chickens in it and they come out amazing. Definitely worth the extra money to go for this over a normal airfyer. The extra space and rotisserie gives you endless possibilities.
When our halogen air fryer broke down I thought of replacing like for like, then I saw this. It was about double the price which I ‘d been planning to pay but as hubby is partial to rotisserie chicken and there was a 5-month pay plan on it I decided to get it instead & I’m glad I did.
I find having trays on shelves and an front opening door more convenient than a “normal” halogen oven as it is much easier to get things in/out & clean. The rotisserie is great – we’ve had a couple of rotisserie chickens (I bought some silicone bands to hold the chicken legs & wings tight so the chicken turns more easily), it only takes a small chicken but it is plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The rotisserie cooked pork joint was also a great success.
I’m sure that food is cooking quicker in this oven than it was with my original halogen, I certainly did find that although the cooking time on the label for the first chicken I bought for the rotisserie said 1h 20m I’m glad I checked it after being on for the 40 min (which is the guide time on the oven) just to see what it was like and it was cooked through.
I’m very pleased with my purchase & would certainly be happy to recommend it.
Use this most days, so very useful. The air frying is not great as the air circulation is more like a small oven.
Oven chips and roast veg are better than using a standard oven but nowhere near a deep fat fryer.
Comes with a spit attachment which would be great if you want to roast sparrows! The smallest chicken in local supermarket is too big to fit.
There is also supposed to be an optional rotating basket but not even the manufacturer stocks this.
Useful, glad I got it, but not excellent.
Final not; would be very useful for single person or student in bedsit / studio.
I bought this for my parents as a Christmas present, after reading tons of reviews and this model was mentioned in most ‘top ten’ air fryer reviews. I have to say they are very pleased with it. They use it several times a week, for fries, roasted vegetables, bacon and chicken etc and have nothing but good things to say about it. They said they find it simple to operate and clean out afterwards and enjoy the flexibility that multiple trays offers and I can personally guarantee it produces really crispy, delicious chips.
Love this little oven. Bargain price. Heats up almost instantly. Cooks fast and is very easy to clean. The door comes off but I tend to leave it on and just wipe it clean feel like this is the possible weak spot on this oven. The oven is of a reasonable size inside but still I doubt I’ll use the rotisserie rack as it would have to a fairly small chicken. Glad I got the manual control on over the digital one it’s so simple 1 dial for temperature 1 dial for timer. Which you can set for up to 60 minutes. Only thing I would say is I assumed as an air fryer everything on the 3 shelves would cook evenly but this is not the case you need to rotate the shelves top shelf cooks alot faster than the other 2. But its fast efficient good value
We adopted the Tower Vortex Air Fryer just before Xmas and was amazed! When microwaves came we thought they were brilliant but the downside, reheating some things turned chewy rather than crispy…..not so with this Air Fryer Oven. Not just an air fryer but an oven….rotiserrie chicken, or any piece of meat, tied with string and self bastes as it rotates!
Once upon a time, we’d occasionally have oven chips….now it’s almost daily! Lol….guilt free due to no added oil required and only what you need cooked. Food little and often. Croissants and other pastry items almost every day, as it’s quick and efficient.
As for the bacon and/or slices of mushrooms for a fry up? No more soggy mushrooms, or white foam surrounding the bacon in a pan showing the high water content…
Nope, beautifully crispy bacon, and tasty mushrooms….and chips if you wanted to put them on one of the 2 wire shelves that are included.
My tip for cleaning the wire shelves? A dedicated nail brush for the purpose – as well as on the mesh filter in the cafetiere…
We LOVE the air fryer oven. I’m glad I skipped going for just an air fryer….a few pounds more and you get a better capacity, the option of 3 different food items on mesh shelves, and rotisseried meat!
I just hope that unlike a previous review, ours won’t cease working….but then, there is the Tower Guarantee, which I’d like to assume I can rely on compared to the ‘non brands’.
Do I recommend this? Yes, yes, yes….with chips on it!!!!!
For the past few years I have used Halogen Ovens ,I couldn’t find one from the same maker so was in a pickle.
I watched a demonstration of the Air Fryer Oven on T V .it was fantastic. The man demonstrating was a wizard,
so I ordered one for my self . It looked so small I thought I had made a big mistake but thankfully it’s one of
the best buys I have ever made..Christmas day we cooked chicken two vegetables and roast potatoes all in this
small oven .The food always cooks to perfection ,tastes lovely and it is so easy to clean. I wish I had known about The Air Frier Before and would recommend it to anyone.
I’ll be honest… this deserve an all-rounder, 5 stars. But I’m giving it 4, due to one little gripe I have. Why does the door open downwards?! It hits the worktop if you get excited and open it too fast. Food often gets on the glass and If you’re like me who likes their breaded chicken…Well just be grateful that it is easy to dissemble.
And that’s why it deserves 5 stars. It cooks amazingly. It has intuitive settings, anyone can get started in minutes. You can detach the door, my aunt has it and she even removes the glass layer by unscrewing it every couple of months to really give the glass a good clean ( I don’t know if that is recommended but as you can see by mine, it’s necessary. And I clean mine after every use)
And it’s not very loud at all. Loud enough for you to remember something is cooking but quiet enough for it not to cause disruption. The timer is also pretty loud goes off a few times and then again if you haven’t opened the door since it finished. I hear it from anywhere in my flat.
It is a lot bigger than I initially anticipated, but still fits comfortably under my cabinets.
The trays clean very easy, especially the nonstick black drip tray at the bottom. It cooks EVERYTHING. I honestly wouldn’t look any further. If you are looking for an air fryer you will not regret investing in this!!
New after a year or so of use:
I wouldn’t call it an airfryer per se. It’s a mini oven with the option of turning a skewer or basket etc.
I use it a lot. The top makes things crispy quickly, to the point of burning whilst not necessarily cooking thoroughly. If using multiple shelves or only using the bottom, that leaves things more soggy. But if left in long enough, it’ll cook through.
It’s good for small things like a cheese sandwich, sausages, muffins, the likes. Definitely an everyday item, when the actual oven would be too large and in an energy crisis too costly to run.
Initial review :
Package was ripped 🙁
Product seems not affected, thankfully.
Haven’t tried it yet, but will leave review on the item at a later stage.
UPDATE: I received the replacement very quickly, earlier than expected. I have been using it for a couple of months now and it works perfectly. Very easy to use. Cooks faster than a regular oven. Easy to clean. I would definitely recommend it.
Original: It was working fine and I was happy with it, but it stopped working all of a sudden. I only had it for 4 weeks. I have requested to replace it and they are sending me a new one.
I will update the review if I receive the new one and it works well for more than 4 weeks.
Absolutely love it. Not really an air fryer, more of just a mini oven, but it makes it so useful and versatile. I’ve made fried chicken, burgers, chips, crisps and more. It cooks everything really quickly and makes everything lovely and crispy on the outside while keeping it nice and moist on the inside. It has loads of room in it! It can hold 3 trays full of food. Only issue is as the fan is on top it cooks the top tray really quickly while the bottom takes a lot longer. I find changing the trays half way through is best.
Incredible machine. I was sceptical before purchase, as we already have a dozen kitchen gadgets gathering dust, but I was soon proven wrong. I arrived home from work one evening to the most incredible aroma of roast chicken, but found out this beast has a rotisserie attachment/function. It cooks a bird in far less time than a conventional or fan oven, and with zero foil required. Our dinner was basting itself with it’s own juices, whilst excess fat gathered in the collecting tray. By far the tastiest chicken I’ve ever had at home, and my wife is a helluva cook so this is saying something! Looking forward to many happy years of use
Wow, just wow! This product is simply amazing! I bought this to use instead of the slightly dodgy oven (the top oven doesn’t appear to work) in my uni house. As well as getting rid of needing to wait for the oven to pre-heat, this product is far easier to use. It’s clearly a high-quality product and works very well.
The three shelf-baskets provided given ample space for all your cooking needs. It’s possible to fit a deep-pan frozen Tesco pizza or a smaller pizza express pizza nicely on one shelf. They cook well, although deep-pan ones doe sometimes need to be turned over so the bottom cooks better. But that’s not exactly a difficult task to do. It’s also possible to cook bread rolls in this oven. However I did find it was best to take out the top shelf and just cook them on the middle so they had enough room after rising. The bread comes out wonderful and doesn’t take very long to cook, even when only able to cook 4 big rolls at a time.
I haven’t had the chance to try out the chicken-cooking-spit, but I have cooked quite a range of items in this fryer. Chips, burgers, chicken, sausages, potato pops, pizza – they all cook very well and often in time a little less than they would need in the oven. Which, all in all, makes it generally take a lot less time to prepare tea!
The light inside is very useful as well, making it easier to see if the food has finished cooking yet without opening the door. The door itself can be removed without too much difficultly. This does make it easier to clean. I’ve only had to remove the door properly a couple of times so far and was a little tricky to reattach the door. But I imagine this gets easier with a little more practice!
Overall, this is a purchase well worth making. You get the health benefits of going with an air-fryer, combined with the format of cooking in a regular oven. It’s simple and easy to use, and excellent for cooking in. I can’t recommend this any higher!
It’s been a while since I purchased anything that impressed me so much.. The last thing was my Canon SX730HS… A pocket camera with an unbelievable 160x zoom!…
I upgraded from the tower mini air fryer which I fell in love with… This has just raised those feelings… I can use one mesh tray in the centre and put my frozen chips on 2/3 of it and a couple of Cumberland sausage pricked on the other side… Then tell alexa to remind me in 15min and I’ve got a plate full of perfectly done sausage and chips… (leave a little gap between the chips etc) and you don’t even have to turn them.. The fan will circulate the air to all 4 sides… Cleaning is a doddle.. There’s a non-stick tray that is as easy as a plate to wash and the mesh tray which is just as easy… I would recommend this model to anyone of my friends and family with confidence…
Best purchase I’ve made in a while. Does rotisserie chicken perfectly. Not had any issues with it. Brilliant for roast pork with crackling as well on rotisserie.
Photos show the size of this model compared to the 2.2L basket model. Also I have just tried the rotisserie today with a 1.3kg chicken cooked at 200C for 40 mins, its absolutely perfect. I would suggest wiping out the oven asap with a damp cloth–I use insulated gloves to do this-as it makes cleaning much easier. I do like being able to cook sausages and bacon in this, just put on the shelf, set the timer and temp and walk away til done. It’s trial and error as you cook more types of food, there are plenty of airfryer recipe sites, youtube videos etc to get ideas and help. A lot of them are American but it’s easy to adjust their F to C. If you keep in mind that anything you cook in the oven can be cooked in an airfryer–only quicker and better then you can’t go wrong.
Used a few times since buying, everything has cooked well, have to move the shelves around a bit for even cooking, easy to clean, has a light inside that you can keep on or turn off.. so far so good
I’ve been using air-fryers for about 5-6 years now and find them very convenient, quicker than a traditional oven and healthier than a deep fat fryer. I’m normally cooking for 1-2 people and in most instances, my current airfryer is sufficient for the portion sizes I require. However, my current airfryer is of the traditional single tier, ‘basket’ type, and when I saw this fryer it immediately appealed to me because:
* it is possible to view food as it’s being cooked without needing to open/stop the unit
* increased capacity over my existing basket-style fryer
* rotisserie cooking option (haven’t used it yet, but nice feature to have)
* multiple cooking shelves/tiers, so that I can cooking multiple foods at once (making better use of the available internal capacity)
* easier to clean (I find the flat, removable shelves less bulky and easier to clean than basket-style fryers)
* good value for money when compared to similar style air-fryers
I’ve been using this unit for a couple of days now and it has pretty much lived up to my expectations. It does seem to take a little longer to cook than my previous air-fryer – perhaps due to the increased capacity/volume that needs to be heated. No major issues or complaints, although it would be nice if the light would remain on, even when the unit is opened and/or cooking is complete – it appears to be directly linked to the rotisserie function, and the power-cord is also a little on the short side.
It’s early days, so I can’t vouch for the reliability of this unit just yet – only time will tell, but very happy so far.
Love these air fryers, this is the second one purchased, the last we used for years.
It arrived quickly and love with this one that there’s different shelves to cook on as the last just had a basket, so this one for the price is great as offers more cooking opportunities. Look forward to cooking a whole meal in it.
We cooked vegan sausages in it and they turned out great.
We had a much smaller air fryer and needed something bigger. Absolutely fantastic. The spit roasted chicken (albeit won’t accommodate a large one) was to die for. I have not tasted chicken so crispy on the outside and yet so succulent on the inside. Cleaning is an absolute breeze. Best Buy for ages
Have been using for one week and generally the programmes for chips, chicken (including whole 1kg spit roasted), steak, fish, pork and bacon have given good crisp tasty results within 1 hour cooking time. Our main criticism is the ‘manual’ is a pathetic document cheaply produced and unfortunately light grey text on lighter grey background so not good for anyone with poor eyesight. We would also recommend purchase of an air fryer recipe book to make the most out of the machine. Other Air Fryers can be used for stews, cakes and desserts but no pans (only wire shelves) are provided for this although the potential exists. As one who likes to buy British was disappointed to find it was MADE IN CHINA so the 3 year warranty is welcome.
Husband bought this on a bit of a lockdown whim, but we are so glad he did! Cannot live without. Almost everything is better, cooked in this air fryer! The best roast potatoes I’ve ever made, fantastic homemade chips, lovely crispy chicken wings, even battered fish from frozen and using a lot less oil. The trays mean you can cook a few things at once, as a rule we swap the trays round to different layers to make sure everything gets cooked evenly, but it always seems to cook quicker than the oven. So pleased!
I was a littlle bit unsure before buying an air fryer …I just did nit want another kitchen item that will end up in the bin! This is just simply amaizing… I cannot stop using it. I am addicted to it!
I have waited to do a review because using it is the best way. I can tell you its easy to use and clean , it cooks quicker, i actually cooked a 2 kilo pork shoulder on the rotisserie a bit tight but crispy crackling meat juicy, a whole chicken on the rotisserie crispy skin and the meat omg juicy, i use this every week. This is an honest review so glad i brought it , it also has 3 shelves easy clean so great cheers.
Absolutely love the oven I previously bought an air fryer this cooks very fast & thorough very happy with it easy to use & clean & also looks good
This oven is one of the best purchases we have made in a long time, the food tastes better and cooks perfectly.
We are still trying to perfect the roast potatoes but will get there in the end, we love the versatility it presents and the fact that it is so easy to clean. We would recommend this oven to anyone with a busy life.
I was a bit nervous about the size. I wanted mainly for chicken. I couldn’t’ get a whole chicken in but did get a chicken crown big enough to feed both my partner and I (we both have quite large portions). It says it would hold a small whole chicken. The chicken came out absolutely amazing! It was really really nice. Way nicer than if cooked in the oven. Can’t wait to try other things in it also.
I love this way of cooking and ideal for one person living alone.id recommend this machine every time.i have a smaller tower which I also use often and they both look great side by side.and for the price, half of some of the other ones I’ve seen, you won’t get better than a tower.A quality name by fa
Really like this air fryer. Shelves make it easy to load and unload and cook different foods at the same time. The rotisserie works well with small joints and chickens. The door is a little difficult to remove for cleaning until you get the angle of the door right.
I purchased this oven after seeing similar one on shopping channel
its a very nice oven the only down side is there was no recipe book with the oven and the barest instructions for fitting the rottiserie which appears to be very fiddly. I have cooked several things including half a chicken which turned out beautifully so with bit of practice should work out very well. But would still like better idea of fitting rotisserie and some sort of recipe book.
I love this air fryer. You can cook in batch and there’s a light that you can turn on and off to see the food while it’s cooking!
Wow !!!! What a fantastic kitchen gadget. We already had an airfryer but this is far superior
To my existing one.
So pleased that I bought it. Thanks amazo
