Electric ShowersElectric Showers require cold water only which is heated instantly to provide a hot shower. – An electric shower only heats the water you use once the shower is switched on. Gravity fed hot water system
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is usually low. To give a higher pressure and flow rate from a mixer shower a booster pump can be installed.

This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. System water pressure is increased due to the addition of a Booster Pump.
Unvented System
An unvented system has a hot water cylinder that is connected directly to the mains cold water supply and there is no need for a cold water tank in the home. The water is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater. As everything is under the pressure of mains water, the flow rates from taps and showers are much better and a pump is not needed to get a powerful shower. An unvented cylinder can be installed virtually anywhere e.g. in an airing cupboard or garage.
Combination Boiler
A combi – boiler can be located anywhere within the home. More often wall mounted but some are floor mounted. It heats water ‘on demand’ when a hot tap or mixer shower is turned on. Connected directly to the mains cold water supply at high pressure there is no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water tank or shower pump in the home.

easy to re install after the last Martique packed up after three years use, mind you there are five of us in this household using it, so it does get some heavy duty. The main thing that stops these working and packing up is furling up of the inlet pipe, there is a gauze mesh in there that gets chocka block placing strain on the pump till it gives up the ghost and a new one is needed, just plug it in the same and away you go, piping hot showers again.
This hower replaced the old one which was the same model that was in it last days after 4 years of everyday usage. Now I had the 10.5w version installed, which I know now was the wrong wattage I needed. Because of my low water pressure the hot water flow from the shower would stop and turn cold every time someone used the cold water tap.
Since I’ve installed this 8.5w version this hot water cutout has stopped.
As for the shower itself, it’s brilliant and really easy to install and fiction.

I bought this shower to replace my old Triton electric shower. The unit looks great. I got my plumber to install it, and it all seemed straight-forward. I like the clean, shiny, stylish look of this shower, that I’m now thinking of replacing the bathroom tiles too :-). Great value for money – my last Triton shower lasted over 25 years!
You’ll need a plumbing Olive to connect this. I’m not sure why this isnt supplied. I tried to reuse the one that my old shower used expecting it to not be a reusable item, and that was correct. I ended up buying a bag of 50 as in a pandemic, I didn’t want to travel miles to the nearest DIY shop, needed the shower up and running and smaller quantities took longer to be delivered.
Other than that, for the price I couldn’t ask for any more it’s great value, works well and was easy to install where my previous shower was.

No issue with shower but box was damaged and open. Hopefully all pieces are there.

Easy to install, came in simple cardboard box with minimal writing on outside, was concerned it was reconditioned unit,but it was certainly new one.Works well ,nice looking overall good value for price.

Bought for a replacement project of an old triton shower. Not completed yet but Amazon don’t give you time they want their reviews ASAP. The unit looks good and with being Triton it should be good
