Electric ShowersElectric Showers require cold water only which is heated instantly to provide a hot shower. – An electric shower only heats the water you use once the shower is switched on. Gravity fed hot water system
This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is usually low. To give a higher pressure and flow rate from a mixer shower a booster pump can be installed.

This system has a cold water tank in the loft or in the top of the airing cupboard and a hot water cylinder below it. The water in the cylinder is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater and fed to taps via a pipe from the top of the cylinder. As the hot water in the cylinder is used up, it is replaced with cold water from the tank above, which in turn is refilled from the mains water supply via a float operated valve. System water pressure is increased due to the addition of a Booster Pump.
Unvented System
An unvented system has a hot water cylinder that is connected directly to the mains cold water supply and there is no need for a cold water tank in the home. The water is heated by a boiler or an electric immersion heater. As everything is under the pressure of mains water, the flow rates from taps and showers are much better and a pump is not needed to get a powerful shower. An unvented cylinder can be installed virtually anywhere e.g. in an airing cupboard or garage.
Combination Boiler
A combi – boiler can be located anywhere within the home. More often wall mounted but some are floor mounted. It heats water ‘on demand’ when a hot tap or mixer shower is turned on. Connected directly to the mains cold water supply at high pressure there is no need for a hot water cylinder, cold water tank or shower pump in the home.

Just about powerful enough
Purchased this for a bathroom refit. The flow is just about powerful enough (could have been a bit more but is acceptable) it does get hot enough though, we did have to take the front off and turn the internal cog around more though. I think we should have purchased the the higher kw one but will stick with this for now.
Lives up to expectations
After a lot of research (trying to find a new shower to go in our newly refurbished bathroom) we decided on this, even after reading some of the poorer reviews. Got to say the family is very pleased, seems to give out a lot more flow compared to our old Triton enrich 2. We have a low pressure system with an old style back boiler and was worried this wouldn’t supply the necessary water flow, however, 4 months on and we couldn’t be more pleased with it. 3 spray patterns on the large shower head and looks more expensive that it was with the brushed steel effect.
One minor quibble, the arrows on the thermostatic knob seemed like they had already starting rubbing off before we even used the shower.
Bought as replacement and it works very well and is great. Installation was straightforward. Just dissappointed with the shower head. The old one I had came with a good 5 spray head but I found this new 3 spray head very weak with not much flow or pressure. I had to buy a better one and replace. Not sure why trinton have cut corners with this rubbish 3 spray head.

I bought this to replace a broken one of a different make. I had it fitted properly by a professional. It’s powerful enough and easy to adjust the temperature and pressure. It looks great and I am very happy with it.

The first shower I have fitted and it was quite easy. I like the different settings for winter and summer so you don’t have to mess around with the gauges. Looks stylish too.

Really nice looking shower and easy to use, we did need to move the water inlet pipe but other than that fairly easy to fit.
Really nice looking shower just be a bit cautious if it’s replacing a very old model.
My old Triton shower was 15 years old and due to the way the inlet is set there was a bit of gap on the side which has been filled it wouldn’t be nice if the bathroom was new but I’m getting a new bathroom soon so can live with a slight cosmetic issue.
When first installed/ commissioned the water wouldn’t get hot this is due to the front plate temperature control dial not turned to the right direction before fitting to the actual shower/terminal dial. The plumber took the front off again turned the dial to the correct direction then put back on so it can turn the internal dial correctly.
Works just fine can get too hot.
Once you set the correct temperature you just can turn on and off and have the correct setting.
Decent shower just docked 1 star due to the flexibility of being installed over an old model and leaves a little gap.

had an electrician fit this as we struggled with the wiring. Looks great and so easy to use, kids can work this without any trouble

This is a brilliant shower unfortunately it won’t fit allotted space (feed pipe in wrong place) otherwise it would be up

Very good feature is that when turned off, it continues for a few seconds to flush out the hot water so that the next person doesn’t get a slug of scalding water.

Great looking unit, disappointed that shower head had only 3 positions.
Very attractive shower. Quiet and works really well. Water can come out so hot you can’t stand under it on the hottest setting.

Happy with the shower! It’s a backup unit so rarely gets used… small issue with the temperature fluctuating a little bit but other than that it’s fine for when we haven’t had the immersion switched on!

Good shower, easy to install.
Overall pleased with this item. Time will tell how well the metallic finish wears. Its a lot more ‘plasticy’ than I was expecting and the finish inst great in places but if you don’t look too closely its fine

Very pleased with purchase, best part was the price, same shower at other retailers was 200 or more. Fitted fine, works great, looks good.
Looks very nice, clean lines, delivers a lot of water, very easy to fit. One draw back, if your not carefull the on/off, hot, economy and cold buttons can be operated accidentally when adjusting the temperature dial.
