Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThere are still people that are unable to use smart phones and there are lots of people that simply want a small and light mobile phone simply for making or receiving calls.

For those, this TTfone fits the bill perfectly. It’s an unlocked sim-free (works with Asda mobile perfectly well) mobile phone weighing 46g without the battery. Colour is lovely – black with red trim. Screen diameter is 4.5cm, so large enough especially considering this phone measures 108cm x 4.7cm x 3.3cm thick.

The phone is very compact, easy to hold and the keys are rubber and press with a firm click which makes typing a number easier. No chance of not realising you have not press a particular key.

Battery life is good but not as good as the ‘old’ Nokia’s. Standby time is stated at 100hrs and talk time 150mins. Charging can be done via the supplied USB A to micro USB cable.

The other attraction is this phone is dual sim.

Menu is like the old Nokia’s. It’s clear and basic. User friendly too.

    Other features include :
    – Colour screen
    – VGA camera
    – Loud ringtone and loud volume
    – SMS messaging
    – Contacts
    – FM radio
    – Torch
    – Headphone jack
    – Standard sized SIM card only
    – Thorough instruction book although print is very small
    – Dual sim
    – Micro sd card slot
    – Battery status bar

At 17.99, this offer tremendous value. A really good basic phone offered at a price that feels difficult to be critical of.

In fact, I’m not convinced you will find a better basic phone. Works well with my Asda sim and has good sound.

If I had to be critical about anything is that I would have hoped for better battery life.

Works better than previous Nokia and cheaper. Great for no frills phone.

This is a great little basic, no frills 2G phone. Just ike the ones we’d have years ago, with a basic camera and no internet and a very long battery life because of this!

This comes with a USB charging cable. It does not come with the USB plug but can do as a slightly more expensive option which may be good for elderly people if they don’t have a USB plug already.

The phone is clear and bold to use. We wanted this for camping as charging our phone is always such an issue and in an emergency all you need is the ability to phone and not the internet and everything else so its ideal and preserves its battery life well.

This has a simple camera which isnt bad for capturing the moment when needed, nowhere near smart phone quality but reminiscent of those first camera phones back in the day!

A great basic phone for emergencies, camping or elderly people.

I need at least two mobiles and whilst people are staying they use this as a back up, I use mine for family calls.

Its small light and pretty retro. Uses 2G, which is no big deal but maybe a bit slower tat the 3/4/5G we use but it works fine for me.

Carry two sims which again is pretty cool as I travel abroad a lot and its easy to get a local sim to use it so not as to get higher roaming charges.

Surprisingly, It has a camera. Ok not like the current ones on modern iPhones o Samsungs but it take neat images which I use as an aide memoir.

It also has a torch – great for the odd accession you need one for close up light.

It looks good and being a bit retro has got some admiring glances from colleagues who have seen me use it.

This is a brilliant little mobile and does all that it needs to do as basic as it is.
It is good quality and the calls sound is nice and clear!
This would be ideal for abroad travelling if you are not wanting to risk your expensive mobile but you would need a better camera though for pictures.
It has a good battery life compared to modern day mobiles and I would even say it would be great for an elderly person so they can make calls if they need to especially if out and alone on mobility scooters.

This phone was delivered quickly and in good quality packaging. For the price, I think it is really good and it even comes with a cable to charge it with. It charges quickly and has long battery life. It is a very simple phone and can be given to elderly people who don’t really know how to really use smartphones.

The LCD display is good, and it also has a flashlight which is useful. It has a very loudspeaker which is good, and a textured back to help with grip so it doesn’t slip out of your hands. Overall, I can’t fault it, great for older parents, and I recommend it for the fantastic price.

TTfone’s basic mobile phone is perfect for emergency purposes especially if you are out camping or hiking since phones like these tend to have a longer battery life.

The phone has a handy compact size and a rubber finish keypad for an easier typing experience. It has a user-friendly menu and clear icons that make it very simple and easy to use for everyone. The camera has an integrated VGA that allows you to take photos and videos.

In addition, the phone works only with all 2G networks and has the ability to run two sim cards at a time. It only came with a USB charging cable which you can use to charge the device. There is no adapter included so if you have one at home, you can freely use it.

It’s been a while since I’ve owned this kind of phone and it literally brings back good old memories. The quality of the phone is surprisingly good but not totally comparable to our Nokia and Motorola ones before. It is very easy to set up and use as expected. Its camera has a decent quality for this type of phone, but don’t expect it to be as good as modern smartphones.

All in all, I am very happy with this phone, although it’s a bit pricey for me. Nonetheless, it works as it should.

No fancy gimmicks, no Internet data usage or WIFI, or blah blah blah,

It is a phone, that people who aren’t tech willing or requiring to have anything more, can enjoy.

It has 2 sim slots and a Micro SD card slot, and if you put a SIMcard in you can callout and receive calls, it has a torch on the very top, and frankly is easy to see read messages, call out or in to the user and is ideal for elderly, or as a simple contact device for someone.

It has a USB charging cable (no adapter) but can be plugged into a USB wall socket or PC device to charge its battery etc.

No touch screen, but great value simple, basic phone that just works well as it should

This is an enjoyable easy phone to use, It doesn’t come with much only a battery and a USB cable for charging. I like how its got all the basics from call, text, camera, even an MP3 player and Radio. It has dual SIM and even an SD card slot to store your music.

I found the phone lightweight and very easy to use, it’s unlocked on any network and the button are responsive, clicky and is ideal if you want an easy phone with only the essentials. It does feel extremely small especially since I’ve been used to holding an IPhone. It is however extremely slippery due to how smooth it is. The UI and sound effect does feel more on the younger side.

Battery life can last a few days with moderate use and it is loud enough to hear when ringing. Overall, it’s a good phone if you want all the basic with no non-sense.

Hope you found my review useful.

Great phone if you want something basic

What’s not to like about a dual Sim mobile phone that is so simple to use? Well this mobile is exactly that very handy on nights out where a smartphone is not required but a phone to call a cab or receiving emergencies is still required.
Very easy to setup, the back clips off really easily and add SIM card or cards, (you may need a sim adapter as it’s the full blown first version that is required), plus the battery and hey presto your ready to go.
It’s only 2g so no data but you can still send a text, ( old school using keypad), and make and receive calls.
It even has a camera although basic it is still capable of capturing decent pictures during good daylight conditions but struggled at night due to poor lighting.
It comes with a torch and it’s not too bad, good enough to find your key hole for your front door.
It’s a shame that this doesn’t have 3/4g capability with wireless hotspot as this would then be an ideal phone to take abroad, Whack in a data only sim and use data via hotspot. But alas no it has no such features.
Overall taking in the price, fact it’s dual sim and the battery lasted for days with minimal use it’s a great backup mobile phone.
    Highly recommend.

Great no nonsense phone for emergencies

    Ideal basic mobile phone

This is perhaps a spot of nostalgia for those who had a basic mobile a few years back… by that I mean it makes calls, holds contacts, takes photos, sends texts and does all that mobiles used to, and for the price of 16.99 at the time of this review it’s a bargain!

As a second/backup phone, or just something you might want to chuck in a back pocket or your bag while travelling light, it’s spot on. Small and lightweight, simple enough to use given the clear and uncomplicated menu system it’s ideal for just about everyone, add the ability to keep in touch on a night out without lugging your fancy gigantic smartphone around and it’s great.

For the price I’m rather pleasantly surprised that it has a camera on board too, which makes this more than capable for purposes outlined above. In the past I’ve taken an “old” mobile while out and about (socialising and all that!), to reduce the risk of losing or breaking my main device, but this little gem beats them given the size, function and having the camera.

For the price and function of this little gem it’s a bargain for that peace of mind for yourself or a loved one that you just need to keep in touch with.

    Small phone for reasonable price.
Great item gor long journeys as a emergency one.
Battery will last days or weeks.
    Torch included.

    Full functionality is there.

Maybe it isn’t a smartphone but will serve its purpose once smartphone will run out of juice and you will need to make this important phone call.

Hats off for fully functional phone for reasonable price.

Value for money 10 out of 10

    Good phone
