For my first mechanical keyboard, this meets all my expectations. The quality and build is very solid for a keyboard at this budget. My typing experience has been very good, but it is important to note that it is a thick case so it might be uncomfortable for some but I’ve had no issues. I got the gateron browns and they feel really good and the tactile bump isn’t too harsh. The keycaps could be better. They feel slippery and get a lot of oils and prints easily. The lighting and effects are great but because of the keycaps they don’t show as much in regular lighting areas. They show fine in the dark. Overall a very good product and I’m hoping to make some mods at some poi

Nice cozy size and can fit in a drawer no problem if you’re needed to put it away

Great keyboard. I’ve got mine loaded with brown switches and have the aluminum frame bezel upgrade.

I love the compact size that doesn’t compromise functionality. My average typing speed and accuracy improved a little with this keyboard even though it’s a lot smaller than my previous one (from 70 WPM with 90+% accuracy to closer to 80WPM with 95+% accuracy). But that’s not the main reason I like it. It’s just very satisfying to type on. The frame bezel feels very solid and premium. The Mac-first key layout is unusual and welcome.

I’ve had a few glitches in the bluetooth connection (which I’m unsurprised by) and no issues when wired in to USB-C.

I replaced the keycaps with some that are PBT and have legends on the front rather than the top (but left the bright orange upper corners alone). Mostly for aesthetics and to push myself to type by feel as much as possible. The key caps that come with the board are superior for RGB shine-through and the useful legends, but inferior for texture and they show fingerprints. I’m not going to fault the keyboard for not having my preferred keycaps—I love that they’re customizable to taste.

    Great size and build quality

I love this keyboard, it has been a great addititon to my home office. I am not a gamer so I can not speak to how it works for gaming. I use it as an everyday keyboard and love it. IT has a great sound and feel and does not take up to much space on your desk.

I bought this months ago, and I’m just now leaving a review. I am still in love with my keyboard! I love the versatility of it and the feedback I get from it when typing. It really brings me to nostalgia-land of when I was first learning to type! Happy with my purchase!

What an amazing keyboard!. There is not much I can say that hasn’t been said already. This keyboard looks amazing, feels amazing and sounds amazing! I’m new to the mechanical keyboard world and I’m sure there are many other great ones but if you are looking for a good keyboard you can’t go wrong with this one! You can connect up to three devices, wired or via bluetooth, switch between Microsoft and Mac OS, and has the best customisation and functionality in such a small form factor.

I had this keyboard for almost a year now, and I will just say it is great.

I only had two issues: the lack of Function keys on Linux (which CAN be fixed and I am just too lazy) and the rather non-intuitive layout. That said, the keyboard works great, the bluetooth mode runs forever without depleting the battery, the size is perfect for my Hobbit hands and the RGB is, well, unnecessary but it looks f**** good at night!

Overall, I recommend this keyboard if you have a small desk and want to keep it tidy and cable free.

I’ve only had it for a day and already in love with it. I went with gateron brown switches. Owned a keyboard with cherry mx reds before never felt as good as this. The difference changing from membrane to mechanical is night and day. Keyboard has some weight to it, doesn’t feel cheap at all. Had no issues setting setting up and connecting to Bluetooth. I mainly chose this keyboard because of the color scheme although I wish the caps were put. I would at least like to see keychron offer replacement pbt key caps for sale.

I really like the ability to quickly switch between bluetooth devices and cabled mode. I use this this keyboard on a college campus where I wish to avoid using common peripherals in computer labs and it has served me really well. When I’m not in the lab, I use this with my iPad Pro (2020) and get lots of work done between pages, safari, word, files, and excel using keyboard shortcuts. I should mention that there are some quirks about the keyboard, namely the inconsistent level of stabilization across all the keys. The space bar is really well stabilized, however the same cant be said about the shift, control, and enter keys. The keyboard is also quite thick and may cause wrist strain for some people without the use of some kind of palm rest. I dislike the strange placement of the USB-C port because it makes managing the cable on limited desks space more difficult. This last gripe could just be me, but I wish the backlights were brighter too. In retrospect, the keyboard has more than made up for its cost and quirks with its portability, looks, robust construction, reliable connectivity and how much fun I have simply typing with it.

Had this keyboard for about a week now and I love it! The brown gateron tactile switches feel and sound great. Sleep mode is useful to save battery and the only lag I experience when using the keyboard is when its waking up from sleeping. Would buy another keychron in the future!

Great product my only complaint was that everything it I wouldn’t use it and it would go on this sleep mode it would lose Bluetooth connectivity for a couple of seconds it usually takes about 5 second to reconnect after I press any butto

It was recommended to me by a builder and I’m glad I listened. Best keyboard ever! Bluetooth and cable connectivity? Are you kidding me?! Yes please! Size is also perfect but a little too thick so I would recommend the get a wrist rest, hoping to find a magnetic one. Hope they make a soft, magnetic, perfect sized wrist rest for their products.

Well built and compatible with Mac and windows both.
Extra window buttons in the pac, bluetooth and wired both makes it a versatile device.
    Good one.

I like small, backlit keyboards. This one seems to be a quality device. The size and backlighting are good, and it “feels” solid and reliable. A good purchase.

Awesome little keyboard if you can deal with the 60% size. It was a little too irritating for me having to constantly FN keys, but that doesn’t affect the beautiful quality of this keyboard.

The world of mechanical keyboards can get real expensive real quick. The Keychron 68 is an excellent entry point. Great build quality and typing experience (browns). I can’t speak to bluetooth connectivity, but the USB connection is rock solid. Overall I’m extremely pleased with the purchase.

otherwise the k2 keyboard is great. the rgb looks great brown switches are nice

What did I dislike? Pretty much nothing. The build quality is astonishingly good, it’s heavy enough to feel substantial, and although the aluminum case is only an aluminum upper, since it’a all you feel while using it I don’t care one bit. As other reviewers have said, the keycaps are not very good, as they are relatively think ABS with what I think are sharp-ish edges and a silly legend design. THey are perfectly usable, however, and I’m absolutely certain that there are plenty of people who are totally over the moon with how they feel. As you can see, though, I already had a set of PBS keycaps I couldn’t wait to put on, and that was the first thing I did when I got it. Bluetooth works seamlessly, the Gateron Brown switches feel perfect, and the overall package design is excellent. Not just for the price, but especially for the prices, this keyboard is an absolutely incredible buy. Highly recommended, although I suggest getting some nice PBS caps to make the board even nicer.

It’s great. Lighting is great, keys feel clicky and feels pretty high quality. I’m not a gamer, but really enjoy the feel and sound of a keyboard. This is my first. The build is nice and the colors are great. Alsoa lot of lighting options. My only gripe is that the bluetooth can be unreliable at times. Once setup, switching profiles is easy and it works great. But once in awhile it will have trouble communicating with a device. Also it does sleep quite quickly which I think can be changed, but haven’t looked into it. I have just gotten used to the auto sleep. Otherwise a great entry for an amateur enthusiast.

I think the characters could have been a little more bold. They’re very thin which makes it difficult to see, because of the different layout. It has a nice feel, can connect to multiple devices and can be mobile. Enjoy.

This keyboard is pretty awesome. No numpad in any options is a bummer.

Bluetooth 5 had interruptions and caused laggy ness. It should indicate with rgb backlight that the connection is delayed or lost. Wireless has been super confusing to use ($5 speaker prevented any signal while 2.5 ghz dongle mouse works perfect…WiFi+mosquitto is a more reliable option).

glad it has wired. Wish it had a latching button to auto-sense option for wire or Bluetooth (keep the other options for Bluetooth, wired, and off – use this to prefer device). But for the price, change may not be worth the overhead of developing it.

Heavy, sturdy and highest build quality. I am a true fan of mechanical keyboards which are clicky and bright. I have been searching for such keyboards for long time and now i found the best one that suits my taste. Took my friend’s suggestion who share many common interestes with me and bought this. Got the true value for my investment.

Latency of the keyboard as a whole was a little on the slow side, had to re-adjust my delay when playing rhythm games coming from a Corsair K70. Other then that keyboard feels awesome

I don’t think this is explained in the manual, but the ESC key: In order to use it’s ` and ~ functions, you must use fn1 and fn2 in conjunction respectively.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was definitely in search for a really nice keyboard and I didn’t want to pay over 500 dollars for it. Good thing I came along this diamond in the rough.

The keys have the options to switch them out. I went with the brown keys I’m not sure why I just see a lot of youtube videos saying the brown keys are the best. I think it really depends on preference. Since I don’t have a lot I think I will stick to the brown keys.

I love the fact that you can have up to 3 different USB devices here. This really cleans up the cables I had on my desk and with my logitec mouse being wireless I was able to achieve ultimate clean desk set up.

I would recommend you checking these out. You will not be disappointed. Just make sure you buy a wrist pad for this because you will need it.

You need a wrist pad keyboard

I love the materials, the sound of the keys.
I must admit that RGB’s are not very intense.

    Just what I needed

I’m no expert on mechanical keyboards, but this seems like a very good option. I my research before and since, there are all sorts of alternatives that are rated higher but everything has a trade-off. In this case you get very good battery life, decent RGB effect selection, great feel, and ultimately a very good price for features.

What do I not like? Two things: (1) the keyboard is tall like everyone says, but it looks like many mechanical keyboards are similarly tall, and (2) the USB C port is recessed and the way it is recessed, you are limited to USB cables with smaller heads to them. For (2) I wanted to get USB C to USB C cable to work with Macbook without an adapter (personal preference, the included cable works fine with an adapter) and the Anker braided cable head will not fit in the recessed port. I had to purchase a cable from Aukey that does fit. The Apple USB C cable fits too. I just wanted a braided chord. If Keychron offered an official USB C to USB C cable with the same right angle as the original cable I would be happy to purchase that.

Don’t let my idiosyncrasies dissuade you from this keyboard. I am just sharing some of what took this away from being a 5 star product in my mind. I would still buy again because other mechanical keyboards have trade-offs I didn’t want…no Bluetooth, smaller battery, more expensive, etc. This keyboard feels great and I like it much better than any other keyboard I have used in recent memory.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our Users2 months Update:
I have used the keyboard now for a while on daily bases. I got to test it even further beyond my initial review and enjoyed having some fun with it by modifying it beyond its stock status (Please see the updated photo with the Blue keycaps for its current status). There is nothing to change in my original review as it still holds true. Love the consistent performance and i still find myself looking forward to typing on it. It is worth mentioning through that only once that i ran into some bluetooth switching issue were the keyboard did not want to reconnect to my Macbook pro and i had to restart the bluetooth on the Mac to address it. Turning off blutooth and on again on the Mac resolved the issue and the keybaord connected successfully right after (Not sure if it was the keyabord or the Macbook Pro bluetooth misbehaving when it happened). I still recommend this keyboard and i am keeping the 5 stars rating i gave it. I will list below the mods I’ve done in case there is an interest to do something similar.

    1. Replaced the stock ABS keycaps with better PBT key caps – I tired few brands and settled on Matrix Keycaps. This improved the quality of the keys dramatically and also improved the typing experience from feel and sound perspective. (Please keep in mind the short (1.75u right shift key was a bit of a hassle to find fitting keycaps for it).
    2. I lubed both the Gateron Brown switched and the stabilizers – Completely transformed the experience on the keyboard to a whole new level that exposed the excellent foundation that this keyboard is. I really think KeyChron should consider have the keyboards sold with the switches lubed already.
    3. replaced the USB-C cable – This is mostly cosmetic as i wanted to match the color of my setup.

I hope the above is answers your questions and concerns. Best of luck with your purchase!

    Cheers!

    Initial Review:
Product arrived even earlier than the projected time. Was packaged really well and sealed as it came out from the manufacture. High quality product that looks even better than the detailed photos presented on the site and works flawlessly. Within the first 5 minutes i had it connected to my three computers (Windows Desktop, Windows laptop and a MacBook Pro) at my desk over Bluetooth without any issues. I love the ability to pretty much configure everything from the keyboard itself without having to download software to do that. Even then the configuration from the keyboard was super easy and strait forward.

As far as rating it in comparison to other mechanical keyboards, this is a super nice one and runs with the the best of them out there especially in this price point. Typing on it is a joy and the Gateron Brown switches are perfect in feel and sound but to be honest this is all about personal preference. Not as loud and clicky as the MX switches but super smooth and just the right click noise for me. If you are not familiar with those then i recommend watching any of the videos on You tube that specifically provide the noise and feel comparison between them and the other switches in the market.

The one thing i would’ve wished for is brighter LEDs and initially that is not an issue if you are planning on continuing to use the included Keycaps but if you are planning on upgrading to PBT Keycaps then that might be a concern for you. The quality of the PBT keycaps you will be buying might or might not impact the visibility of the lED lighting. I definitely recommend this product.

Thanks for the premium product all around.

Love it - All that i need out of a Mechnical Keyboard and more - Update!
