USB C Docking Station, 7 IN 1 USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter, Multiport USB C Hub Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor with VGA, 3 USB, DisplayPort for Dell XPS 13/15, Lenovo Yoga

    The product.
This is a USB C docking station to expand the ports [provided on modern USB c equipped computers.

    Ports.
It has 3 USB ports, a VGA port and 2 HDMI ports plus a few others. There are two versions of this, one with a card reader and one without.

    Build.
It is well made with an aluminium, shell. All of the sockets are of good quality.

    In use.
It expands the USB C socket on my Surface laptop to give me all the ports Microsoft missed out. It is useful for teaching as I can have dual displays.

    Overall.
These are well made and if you need all the ports well worth investing in. The one with the card reader would be my choice so that SD cards could be read and backed up easily. These are expensive compared to other similar ones but the build quality here is very good.

Whilst I love my MacBook Pro I yearn for the days when they came with decent levels of connectivity …. like my old Pro from 2012.

This USB C Docking station gives me back that connectivity and more besides. It is well made, nice and slim, so it slips into a spare pocket in my case and looks the part.

    A fair price I think.

Really good item and very easy to use. Plugged straight into my laptop and worked straight away. Can be used with upto 4 screens and has a few USB ports that come on handy! I had trouble finding a Dock that would work with my HP Zbook, a few branded hybrid docks wouldn’t work with this laptop for some reason but this item was much cheaper and smaller than the rest. Would recommend!

I took it with a bit of a risk since i wasn’t sure if it’s gonna work on my Ipad Pro 2021 but actually its blow my mind. Not only it is fully compatible with my tablet but also run multiple devices plugged simultaneously.

    Dongle have 7 ports:

    3x USB 2.0,
    1x VGA,
    2x HDMI OUT,
    1x DP – Display Port,

I was surprised that i was able to plug external hard drive and it run it with no problem with no need to plug external power source to it. Docking station feels very solid and at the same time very light which help with being portable, won’t take much space in case and to take it with you whenever you go. Cable with USB-C seems a bit stiff but definitely higher quality, feels very well made. Same comes to housing, solid and well protected. Not sure about price however, for me is a bit expensive. Paying 42.99 at the time of writing this review is a bit too much even for such a good dongle like this. Besides of that, awesome dongle for your new devices.

    Run many devices simultaneously

USB C Docking Station, 7 in 1 is versatile docking station offering several outputs from USB ports to Dual HDMI outputs. These units are becoming common place because of the lack of external outputs available on new laptops, most new laptops only offer one USB C port limiting your experience and usability. This is when a dock like this is needed, this covers almost every output needed and this unit performs well. This can output a display to an external monitor via HDMI without any issues, I connected my keyboard and mouse via the USB ports plus transferred some files with Flash drive all at the same time. This is a versatile dock that works well. the build quality is excellent love the aluminium finish. Only negative I can think of is the lack of USB 3.0 ports, instead your stuck with the old USB.20. Overall a good performer especially if you intend to output two displays at once.

First impressions are a well made docking station.

USB C connection to 7 various outputs which are a very useful addition to PC, allowing me easy connection to my TV, and projector, save a lot of time fixing cables etc.

All ports work great, made connecting a section of devices easy, and I didn’t notice any change to the performance

A well priced adaptor, much cheaper than I’ve seen, and the quality is very good, something to keep as a useful add-on .

I have many different devices to connect to my iMac while working, so this adapter is a perfect addition to my desk.
You will get two options to choose from: either 1-12 or 1-7 adapter, depending on your needs – I have chosen the second option.
This adapter is just awesome as I can have 7 additional items plugged, and that includes:
    2 x 4K HDMI
    1 x VGA
    1 x DP
    3 x USB 2.0

I used to have an issue with my laptop while working as it has only one USB port that I can either use to charge or plug in other devices, but now with this adapter, I can do both and I could not be happier.
This adapter is very well made from sturdy yet lightweight materials, so I hope it will last me many years. It is also nice and compact, so it is easy to carry it in your bag while travelling.
Currently, it is at the price of 36.99 (with 3 off voucher), including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the product. It is a bit pricey, yes, but considering how many ports this adapter had and how many devices can be connected to it at the same time and work with no issues, I think it is definitely worth it.

    Great quality adapte

Amazing usb hub, arrived in a lovely retail box and feel very high end indeed! This is definitely the one you want when you’ve just spent over a grand on a MacBook! Feels weighty and all the ports feel good and not flimsy like with others ive had in the past. Everything works perfectly and instantly with no install needed, simply a plug and play item. The item is definitely worth the listing price!

This USB-C docking station hub by MOKiN adds a decent amount of extra connectivity to a single USB-C port and it is compatible with the latest MacBook Pro and many current Windows 10 laptops with a USB-C port. For compatibility with this device your laptop must have thunderbolt 3 / USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 /USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 PD (Power Delivery) with DisplayPort Alt Mode. As well as a pair of 4K HDMI ports this hub also has a Display Port, a VGA Port and 3 USB-A 2.0 Ports — there is no USB-C output. So using this MOKiN 7-in-1 USB-C hub you can turn a single port into seven to connect both your old and new peripherals — however, be sure to see all the important compatibility notes in the Amazon Product Description before you purchase or use this device. This hub is lightweight — but not flimsy — and small enough to be portable with the USB-C cable hard-wired in. At around forty pounds currently from Amazon this is a decent-enough device that seems to work as it should — it comes simply presented in a plain MOKiN box that includes a product manual and is well worth considering if the outputs suit your particular needs.

Laptops and ultrabooks are constantly becoming lighter and slimmer but with the important trade off of loosing connector ports. This adaptor has a surely great mix of what I need and priced at 39.99 it is on average with similar products.

you consider that it is going to be used with 2000+ worth of laptop and phone. It is a worthy companion. Beautiful brushed aluminium and excellently aligned components. A class “thing” for sure. You can get (much) cheaper but it won’t look as good next to the Samsung or Apple.

One of the infuriating things about MacBook computers is the lack of USB ports or headphone jacks. This is a great, quality product so I can use different devices with my computer. It’s fairly pricey at 36 but something that comes in handy with a MacBook. I’m a little disappointed there’s no SD or Micro SD slots as I frequently use these in my camera and it would make transferring photos easier – I see the more expensive model has these slots but feel SD slots are a standard requirement.

This USB-C docking station is great for converting my USB-C port into an additional 7 different ports.

It is extremely small but powerful and has 2x 4k 60HZ HDMI ports, 2x 4K 60Hz DP ports, 3x USB 2.0 ports. This can help expand your work and the advanced chip provides you with a more stable performance as it keeps your laptop charged whilst providing power to each external device that is attached.

The dock supports both SST and MST mode and supports five display for your win system laptops. If you connect it to MacBook’s it will only support mirror mode without five display. It is compatible with with Dell XPS13/15, Lenovo Yoga 720/910/920/930, Microsoft Surface Book 2/ Surface Go/ Surface Laptop 3, and Dell Latitude 13 7000/Latitude 13 E7370.

Furthermore, it has a super-fast data transfer speed with 900mAh output which ensures instant sync and file transfer at 480mbps.

Overall, this works great and is very small so doesn’t take up much room or look messy on my desk.

This 7 in 1 hub works perfectly well with my Dell laptop. It has HDMI ports and 1 VGA. The HDMI ports are limited to 60Hz at 4K but also 60Hz at 1080p, which is fine for me, but could imagine others wanting more especially for gamers. It has 3 USB-A ports (no USB-C here) and 1 Display Port.

Overall, a decent hub but for this price I’d be expecting the addition of USB-C and Ethernet ports, and SD/TF card slots and 4K @ 120Hz.

    Thank you for reading.

This laptop USB docking station display port has everything I need for displays, and possibly need in most circumstances. Great multiple display options that worked straight out of the box with my Lenovo. Connection to this hub is by a short cable with a male USB-C connection.

You get the following; 2 HDMI port, a VGA port, a DP display, and 3 USB 2.0 ports. This dock does not offer an ethernet port or card reader slots, which are often found on other stations. Plus no 3.0 USB slots that lets it down.

This docking station is dark aluminium grey, lightweight, but it looks durable. I can take my Lenovo laptop from work and set up at home in one easy step. I can now have another monitor display, charge my phone, and link up to my printer. Plus I have extra slots if I want to scale up with more monitors.

Good value docking station at 40 much cheaper than a powered hub.

At 39.99, at the time of writing,
    This :

USB C Docking Station, 7 in 1 Type C MacBook Docking Station Dual HDMI Adapter, USB C Adapter with Dual HDMI, VGA, 3 USB Port,DP Port Compatible for Dell XPS 13/15, Lenovo Yoga, etc

Looks like it’s a pretty tasty, and cool, piece of kit.

    But…
    Is that chocolate cookie tasty?
Or is it a kebab at the end of a long night, tasty?
Well… to find out, we should pop on our reviewers hats… here’s mine : , and put the kettle on, as we might need a few cups of tea , or coffee , and quite possibly a biscuit or two , as we settle in for a long one… and take a closer look… …

Not only does my hat look cool… I can balance things on top…

It arrives in a nice, sleek and suave looking, slim retail ready box…
    Very nice .
It makes a great first impression.

Out of the box, and you get:
    1 x 7 in 1 USB Hub
    Nice and simple.
    Just like me.

    Wait… no… not like…. dammit…

The hub’s build quality looks excellent.
It’s constructed from light, sleek, strong aluminium.
It has no ragged edges, no mould marks on the plastic, or no dodgy junctions.
It’s all perfectly finished, and looks the business.

Port wise, it has the following selection included:
    2 x 4K 60Hz HDMI,
    2 x 4K 60Hz DP, 1080P 60Hz VGA,
    3 x USB 2.0
That is 7 ports, which give it it’s 7 in 1 Hub name.
    It’s a very balanced selection.
Considered and well-thought-out to give it maximum bang for buck.

The 4K HDMI Video Output, enables you to mirror or extend the display of your laptop to your TV.
    Pretty cool .

A bonus DP display port, is a welcome addition, and gives another display option.

VGA is a bit old school, and useful for those old monitors, you may encounter on your travels.
Useful if you work in multi locations, with legacy hardware.

3 x USB 2.0, useful to expand your peripherals, or connections.

I would have expected an Ethernet Port.
This seems a strange thing to not have included.

Card reader slots, would have been an easy win too.

The hub has overheating and overcurrent protection, to keep the hub, and your laptop, safe and not on fire .
More than handy, and the way I prefer my laptops.

In testing, I had every port plugged in.
I did not believe that they would all operate successfully together.
But… much to my surprise…. they did.
My display was mirrored, and extended, no problem.
Every other port was utilized and tested, with successful data transfer, and power transfer, on every occasion.
    It’s very impressive indeed.
    And it never ran hot.
Which means we have to heat our coffee somewhere else….

Milk and sugar please… is it espresso? …. lovely….

    The price is very good.
It’s keenly priced and offers good value.
It compares well to its competitors.

    Overall…
    It’s a cracking wee hub.
It’s well-designed, well constructed, and very well put together.
It performed flawlessly in testing, and made it look easy, and cool .

I do not hesitate to recommend it highly.

I like your hat… . The pink suits you,

I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .

I own a few USB hubs as I find them very useful for connecting more devices up to my phone and laptops.

This hub from Mokin has a lightweight metal casing and gold-plated USB-C connector. The cord isn’t braided and is a little stiff but appears sufficiently well-made. The hub features three USB ports, two HDMI ports, one VGA port and a DP port, so it’s great for connecting up multiple displays and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, speakers etc). No installation required. I’ve tested all the ports and they work perfectly with no issues, though you do have to be aware that you can’t use all the ports for 4K display at the same time.

It is a little bit of a shame that all three of the USB ports are 2.0, as it would have been handy for faster data transfer if at least one was USB 3.0. Similarly, there’s no USB-C port for power delivery, or a headphone socket. I only mention these because I have another hub from the same company that does include these features, which makes this one feel a little out-of-date. That’s the only real criticism I have though – otherwise it’s fine. it seems pretty durable and works exactly as intended.

Decent USB-C hub but no power delivery, 3.5mm audio or USB 3.0 options

I am surprised that that USB-C has not made more of an impact on the on the computing world but that does not mean that you will never come across it. This USB-C mini hub from MOKiN is just the thing to have at just in case.

A USB-C male connector to 3 USB-A 2.0 Is the most obvious connection but on further inspection perhaps 1 of the 2 HDMI female sockets or a VGA or even a Humble DP.

As you can see there is a wide choice at your disposal from this very well made item.

Why only 4 stares well look at the size of the printing on the manual. It is tiny and really it does not have to be.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have had 3/4 other docks during the covid lockdown, all previous having been DisplayLink devices. However 3 of the 4 physically broke, while the last one which was an expensive Dell stopped working when I installed Ubuntu 20.10 on one of my laptops (Ubuntu 18.04 on the other). After many headaches trying to get evdi to work, I thought I should try a different product and I saw this one, which I thought was worth a punt for the money despite no real-world mention of being Linux compatible. and Wow I’m impressed, worked straight out the box without any painful DisplayLink style drivers being required across 2 different Ubuntu laptops.

This hub has enough connectors for old and new tech allowing you to connect multiple screens to your laptop.

  36. The Cajun Boy says:

This hub is huge. I’ve used a few of these and none have the amount of connectivity that this does:

    > 2 HDMI and a VGA – so you can plug in 3 screens, so if you have a job that is made easier by having muliple screens this is the hub for you
    > 4 USB ports, 3 of which are USB 3.0 so you can plug in wireless mouse, keyboard, webcam, external microphone etc
    > SD card readers, micro and normal size
    > Ethernet
    > 3.5mm audio
    > Pass through PD charging

I still find it amazing that the USB C port can handle this amount of traffic and charging, it really is an amazing advancement in tech when it was introduced.

This hub is working as expected on my laptop, I’ve got two HDMI connected screens, ethernet, webcam and my wireless mouse connected without any issues.

This hub can completely change the look of your desk as I’ve managed to tuck mine behind my laptop which is propped upright on a laptop riser so I only see the single USB C cable creeping round my laptop rather than a spagetti junction of cables and the additional bonus of that is that when I need to undock my laptop occasionally I only have a single cable to removed which is far easier!

This isn’t a cheap hub at just over 50 but its a one stop shop for all your needs, so you know it will cover all bases.

    5 stars!

This is proving a very useful docking station for me for work purposes. Home working during the pandemic has meant I’ve had to develop and adapt my working space at home and my laptop has run out of inputs to properly accommodate this. This docking station supports numerous different inputs and I haven’t used them all but what I have used have all worked flawlessly. The docking station is connected and powered via USB-C thus providing a high speed connection. I’ve so far used it to extend the number of USB 3.0 devices I have plugged in to my laptop, to connect and charge another USB-C device (my smartphone) and also plugged in a monitor via VGA. In terms of inputs the only one that is lacking which I could have benefitted from is a display port connection. It has pretty much all other bases covered including USB 3.0, USB-C, HDMI, SD and micro SD, VGA and Ethenet. It is all housed in a neat, excellent quality little package. A very useful and impressive docking station so far for me and easy to recommend.

Comes with a product manual and It has 12 ports all the ports you will need.

    Has everything you need!

  41. AnthonyAshbolt says:

This docking station does everything I might need to connect a variety of peripherals to my small thin laptop. With the correct cables I can run up to four displays – the laptop’s own, two HDMI and one VGA. Also present are: Two USB 3.0 ports for things like scanners and webcams. Two USB 2.0 ports for memory sticks, mice and keyboards. A 3.5mm socket for a headset, headphones or a microphone. Two memory card slots (SD and Micro-SD). An RJ45 port for wired Gigabit ethernet. Lastly, and most importantly, a USB-C port for connecting a power adapter, in case the hub’s USB-C plug takes up the only such port on the laptop or tablet.
All this in a unit that measures just 135mm by 55mm by 15mm, with a 240mm cable. Remarkable. This device must be packed with electronics to do all of this simultaneously, so it will need the laptop’s own power supply to work. It will take up to 100W apparently, whilst delivering 87W to the laptop itself for charging. This only works if your laptop has ‘PD3.0’ compatibility, so check your specs carefully.
Because the Apple O/S has limitations for multiple displays, only supporting mirrored screens on the external monitors. The best results will be had from a Windows 10 computer with USB C (with a Thunderbolt 3 port or USB 3.1 Type C Gen2 port), which will support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) so that each monitor can display different things.
This a truly amazing docking station, but it is designed for the most up to date laptops. The details on the web page should be read carefully along with your machine’s specs so that you’re not disappointed after spending a fair bit of money. I have deducted a star from my rating because I think that the manufacturer should list the required computer specs more clearly than they have. A brief and basic Product Manual is supplied with the dock.
The construction quality is very good, with a solid alloy case and a tough-looking cable. It is properly CE marked. All the connections worked as expected.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis docking station was bought to work alongside a new laptop.

First impressions were that it was very small and compact for what it can do.

That impression remains, but the functionality of this docking station is great. It plugs into your usb c port and gives you access to all the functionality you will ever need.

One thing to note, unplug the docking station when your not using your laptop as it does drain the battery a bit.

Overall, very happy with the docking station.

This is perfect for modern laptops which aim to be thinner/lighter, and are lacking in ports. This has allowed me to have the dock permanently on my work desk, and then I’m not unplugging loads of things to pack up to bring my laptop home for home working.

Very simple plug and play design, Worked perfectly straight out of the box. Connected my HDMI monitor up and it works exactly the same as plugging it into the HDMI port on the laptop itself (I wanted to test it out).

Glad I got this as my boss is looking into buying a few for the laptop users in the office

as the concept of continued ‘working from home’ gathers pace I have had to make a real effort to tidy my office and make my daily working environment a lot tidier and in so doing, I hope, a lot more efficient.

To complete this I have needed to reconfigure almost all of my various computer cables and, as a consequence, all of my USB/HDMI/VGA and even Ethernet cables which made me realise that I had a number of different cable ‘ends/plugs’ and cable lengths that simply had to be replaced to complete the overall ‘clean up’.

I was offered the opportunity to try this USB C Docking Station, Dual HDMI Adapter 12 in 1 Triple Display USB C Hub with VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, 100W PD, 4 USB Ports, SD/TF Card Reader, USB C Multiport Adapter which has proved to be an inspired decision as the connection throughput has proven to be better than previously and of a constantly higher data flow rate.
The actual connectors are well made and insertion has proved to be faultless. The short cable seems to be made from a fairly substantial sheath whilst still leaving a very useful amount of ‘bendability’ as opposed to those cables that often impose where they will/will not go around items on your desk. The cable end as it enters the plug head has a small integrated and moulded shoulder to protect the cable/plug entry from being over-stressed — a shroud around the plug enhances the excellent finish that this item portrays.

It is not inexpensive but it does provide a multiplicity of connections that would otherwise be un-available from most laptop/desktop configurations.

I am pleased to report that this works perfectly for me and on that basis I am very happy to recommend this item to you.

Please note: I was supplied with this product free of charge for giving an honest review [having used and/or tested the product in everyday use] which I feel I have done.

If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on ‘Helpful’ or ‘Comment’.

I have used a few docks and some of them have been just terrible! The build quality for the price is quite good. The brushed matte metal finish on the top and bottom give the station a premium feel so it is certainly reflective of the price. This has a lot of slots including card reader slots. A lot of docks don’t have these. I was able to connect two 1080p monitors, one with VGA and other with HDMI, without much effort. This is very much just plug and play.

I was able to also plug in two wireless adapters, one for my headset and another for my keyboard and mouse combo, without any fuss. One thing that may detract potential buyers is the lack of a mDP or another USB-C. I’m sure this was intentional and would have increased the cost of this dock. This was not a requirement of mine as none of my monitors supported mDP or DP.

The extra USB ports are helpful when I have to plug in additional peripherals. I haven’t needed to use the USB-C power port, headphone port, VGA output, or card readers yet, but I’m planning on purchasing another one of these to outfit my network controller computer, so they will come in handy. The reading rate is very fast, there is no lag or delay, plug, and play, the dock itself is particularly portable, not big at all, it can be designed in this way, the price is reasonable, the price is very high, really very satisfied.

In conclusion the build quality of this unit is great for the price. With an abundance of connectivity options and slots , you really are getting your money’s worth.

    PROS
    – Great build quality
    – Plenty of slots and connectivity options
    – Does the job perfectly
    CONS
    – Cant display 4k only 1080p max
    – Can get quite warm.

This is a must for anyone who’s using any usb-c compatible computer/laptop.
It’s really well built, very solid metal feel that could probably handle a beating let alone just being carried round in a rucksack.
I’ve used it with a 2019 MacBook Pro and it’s perfect for those who are using sd cards, hard drives, audio interfaces, midi devices etc…

I’ve reviewed quite a few USB-C expansion adapters over the last few months, each one getting bigger and more capable. This one is the most versatile yet. The sheer number of expansion options is almost rediculous, allowing up to three monitors to be attached, two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, audio, network plus SD and Micro SD card readers.

I’m someone who never has enough ports to connecting into. Whether that’s USB ports on my computer, or HDMI ports on my telly. More is always better.

Currently I have 19 USB devices currently plugged into 5 available ports on my Lenovo Legion laptop. 4 USB-A ports, and one USB-C. I have one BenQ monitor plugged in to the HDMI port and I did have a 43″ LG TV plugged into the the USB-C port. Now, however, I’ve plugged it into this USB-C hub and provided myself an extra few USB-A ports to play with. I’ve also now got a couple of memory card slots to play with, which my laptop didn’t previously have. I have an external CD/DVD drive attached, webcam and Blue Yeti condensing microphone. All are opperating as I’d expect.

The product feels really high quality and although it’s quite expensive I feel it offers good value. My only criticism I’d suggest is that the cable between the device and my laptop is a little bit short. It’s longer than the cables I have on other similar adapters, but I’d like to have seen a slightly longer cable to be able to fully tuck the hub away out of sight, but this is a minor issue I feel. Otherwise, I really like this hub and it’s given me plenty of potential to expand further.

I’ve been using this with an HP Elitebook. I’ve encountered no problems and all seems to work well (though I haven’t tested the VGA port). Its been fine with a few devices connected simultaneously, and picture quality via the HDMI ports is good.

Obviously it’s a fairly chunky docking station, given the numbers of ports included. The construction quality seems good.

Overall, a good, comprehensive, docking station.

This review is for the USB C Docking Station, Dual HDMI Adapter 12 in 1 Triple Display USB C Hub with VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, 100W PD, 4 USB Ports, SD/TF Card Reader Audio for MacBook Pro and Type-C Laptops

54.99 at the time of review.

It comes with 2 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm jack port, LAN port, VGA and 2 x HDMI ports, SD and micro SD card slots and a USB C PD port.

The first thing that strikes you when you take it out of the box it is that is heavy and solidly built from metal and has nicely chamfered edges which gives it a more pleasant feel. It doesn’t stick to a desk, but I wouldn’t want it to anyway.

Connecting it under Windows 10 was a doddle and I didn’t have to download drivers at all. The USB C connecting cable is quite thick and strong and the plug is gold plated. It worked just fine and the speeds I got with the ports are what you would expect. A brilliant piece of kit.

If you are in doubt about compatibility, see the note at the bottom of the advertising on what the incompatible devices are.

This is a solidly built docking station, and absolutely perfect if you have a laptop with limited connectivity and would like to connect it to external monitor(s), external mouse and keyboard, a network cable instead of using Wi-Fi, etc. And it has two SD card readers than can be used at the same time. A must have under those circumstances and well worth the asking money.

    MOKIN 12-IN-1 HUB

This really is a bit of a Mega hub when it comes to connectivity, with the following 12 ports:

    1. Dual HDMI 4K Ports
    2. Display Port
    3. RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port
    4. Audio Port
    5. USB C PD port
    6. SD Card Reader
    7. TF Card Reader
    8. 2 x USB 3.0 Ports
    9. 2 x USB 2.0 Ports

With 2 x HDMI and a DP, this will support a triple array set-up for Windows and Extended for Mac OS. That is assuming your laptop can cope. It would also enable you to connect and run a Pen Tablet, while still having full access to your two monitors. I can run DEX from my Samsung tablet if I so wish and on both of my monitors via this hub.

There is quite a bit of flexibility here in the setting up of your displays with the option of having two monitors + laptop display or having three monitors and no laptop screen. This does mean that you must take the resolution down to 1080p. If you want to utilise 4K, then it is two displays only.

The 15cm USB-C cable is quite thick and firm, with the connector being gold plated. There is a 100W PD fact charging port, that can easily take my 96W power supply. Meaning I can charge my laptop, tablet, and mobile phone simultaneously.

There is an array of USB ports for external drives, keyboard, etc and you can run both card readers at the same time. Transfer speeds are excellent. Given that USB 3.0 is backwards compatible, it does make me wonder why there is the inclusion of 2 x USB 2.0, rather than four USB 3.0 ports? Perhaps there is a technical reason for this.

I connected an external SSD and ran a Read/Write speed test and they maxed out as 423Mbs and 410Mbs. For me, that is sufficient performance. Although I do not have a spare NvME drive to test, I would expect speeds to be double that of the SSD.

With the Ethernet port, not only can I hardwire my laptop but also my phone or tablet as well, rather than using Wi-Fi or my Data plan. Particularly useful if I am running DEX.

Overall, I think this is a great piece of kit, with rock-solid build quality and connectivity overload. If I were to be critical, I would have preferred one less USB port and had a USB-C instead.

    MOKIN 7-IN-1 HUB

The 7-in-1 hub is of the same build quality as the 12-in-1 but is lacking in one key feature from my perspective. It does not have any USB 3.0 ports, instead you just get 3 x USB 2.0. The only other thing that is missing from this version is the Ethernet port. In some ways it is over focusing on monitor connectivity, with the 2 x 4K HDMI, 1 x 4K DP and a 1080p VGA. . It further misses out on a USB-C PD and USB-C data port. Do not get me wrong, it still is a very good hub but dependent on fitting your needs.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

This is a terrific portable docking solution which allows for the full 100w power in whist running s triple screen set up on 4k resolution. My Yoga running W10 seem to install without me noticing. Keyboard, mouse and memory stick all up and running in seconds. No obvious delay and impressive read write to micro SD when I tried that out too.

The hub itself is well constructed metal and plastic. It runs cool. And best of all it doesn’t break the bank. Great but of kit.

The USB C docking station is supplied with English instructions and comes in a plastic bag within a decent box. It is extremely well made with a mostly metal casing, plastic endplates and metal and plastic sockets. It is heavier than some docks I have tried but this is down to its solid construction. It is nicely finished in the sort of silver grey that will complement many a modern laptop. The array of sockets comprises 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, a 3.5mm audio out, a LAN connection, a VGA, 2 x HDMI, SD and micro SD card and a USB C.

It worked perfectly for me. I connected up my laptop, monitor, USB drive and SD card and switched on. The docking station is plug and play and everything came up first time with no problems. I then plugged in the LAN and was speeding along. I set up a 2 monitor system with the laptop screen as 1 and the monitor a 2. This is all quite straight forward and is covered well in the instructions and Windows 10 help pages.

My one and only comment is that the base of the unit is quite slippery. I found it moved about a bit on both my black glass spare room desk and on my wood and leatherette study desk. This is a very minor point and could easily be remedied should that prove necessary with a stick-on pad or 2.

A part from the above I just love this dock. It has every socket that I could possibly need and above all it was very quick and simple to install. It means all the peripherals can be connected to the dock and either of us can drop in with our laptops, make one simple USB C connection and everything attached to the dock is at our disposal.

Just a few more notes to add. The audio socket is a good one and I was impressed with the sound quality through it. It is slightly better than the one on my laptop. The power pass through works well and my laptop charged while connected to the dock. The video quality is very good indeed and my slightly old and lacklustre monitor shone at its very best through these connections. I tried all combinations using various adapter leads. HDMI 4K looks the best but the VGA is also very good. The USB sockets worked at their specified speeds and the LAN connection gave the maximum speed my network is capable of. So all in all it just does what it should do and what you would expect it to do. It is a lovely bit of kit. For the record my laptop charges at 60W and 20V but this unit can handle up to 100W in/87W out at 20V. It only gets slightly warm while in use.

I think this USB C dock is an excellent product. It is good value for what you get. As well as the more standard USB, SD and audio sockets it also includes a LAN connection and outputs for 3 monitors. Highly recommended.

A high quality 12-1 USB C docking station with room for 3 monitors

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought this to expand the capabilities of my Galaxy Tab S6, plugged in and worked straight away with a wireless keyboard & mouse, SD/Micro SD cards and also USB memory stick and an external USB Hard Drive. Also allows power through for charging, although not at the fast charging rate, but this was expected – will need a higher watt plug, but it was charging and not losing charge.

Also tried it on my Windows laptop USB C port, again everything worked as expected, also with a Mac Book Thunderbolt connection, all working including the HDMI port – will be looking to purchase another in the near future for the Macbook.
