The best cordless vacuum I've ever used
Having dabbled with a variety of cordless vacuum over the years, I have finally settled on the vax blade system. The machine is superbly designed, being easy to assemble and set up with the variety of available click-lock accessories. The quality of finish and parts, aswell as the design is far, far superior to other brands, especially the British designed gtech air ram series which I have discovered to be extremely poor in terms of design and parts quality. Being an electrical technician, I have had both machines stripped down for complete cleaning, and the design structure and quality of parts on the vax machine is extremely well thought out, minimal in design and very lightweight compared to the gtech which is large, clunky, very poorly fitted and molded parts, not to mention dreadful to strip down to replace components. The vax system has superb suction on all surfaces, with boost function on or off (I recommend keeping boost off). There is also a brush isolator button. The LED lights give an accurate feedback of battery status. The blade also makes an excellent car vacuum as the brush head can be attached directly to the motor assy without the stick. I would say the battery lasts between 30 and 40 minutes depending on how hard the vacuum is working. The dust canister is very well designed and simple to release to empty. The filters are easily accessible and should be cleaned out each time you empty the cylinder. I have to say I have owned two of these vacuums now and both are still working perfectly.

    Ideal for stairs
Love that it’s cordless and you can convert it to just the motor and cleaning brush – brilliant for stairs.
Battery life is very good and I can clean the full house on one charge.
Suction even with the boost is not as powerful as I would like – bought as a quick reasonably priced replacement for broken dyson which had much better suction and pickup but was not as good for stairs.
Would recommed the blade purely for convenience on stairs

Good value vacuum cleaner. Ideal for my one bedroom flat which has all hardwood and tiled surfaces. The best cleaner I’ve had for car cleaning purposes. Very good suction. Only negative comment would be the removal of the reach wand, the release wand is a bit stiff for me.

    Not for me!
This was a lesson learned for me. I read the reviews and didn’t think the negatives would be a problem for me. The special price for a well known brand was also tempting! After a couple of months use, I’m reluctantly not convinced. The weight is all at the top, which becomes an issue for me if I’m hoovering the whole house. We have wooden floors downstairs and I find the brushbar boost the best option, but it does drain the battery. We have quite thick piled carpets in the bedrooms and I find that the brush head drags and repeatedly stops the hoover from working. However, there are some positives! I like that the brush head slides nicely under furniture so that I don’t have to keep moving things. It charges up quickly, and does get to the dust and crumbs that collect between the wooden floor panels. I’ll persevere for a little longer but I suspect that a stick hoover just isn’t for me.

Not lasted more than 74 hours of use
Bought in November 2018 and will now no longer charge. I have been in contact with Vax and as it wasn’t registered on their system they can’t help. Have also recently bought a replacement brush head as after changing the hose on the original one that had split the old brush head was running intermittently.
It had not been used heavily as with only a small amount of carpet and only two people in the house there was never much need for extensive cleaning

    Brilliant.
This is my 2nd Vax cordless, the previous Vax blade lasted 4 yrs. The suction on this one is so much better, I live in a small bungalow and this does the whole place with plenty of battery life to spare. I empty it and give the filter a light brush every time its used. Slightly heavier than the previous model but meets all requirements.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood Lightweight Machine
Considering the price of vacuum cleaners these days, paying less than 200 for a branded, new vacuum is fairly impressive. I am a big fan of this particular vacuum cleaner. It works fantastically and is super lightweight, meaning it’s really easy to carry around and push about – especially with stairs, heavy vacuum cleaners can be a bit of a pain. The cordless feature is even more convenient and makes maneuvering around the house even easier. For my circumstances, this is a fantastic bit of kit that really does the job.
Now, here are some things that others looking to purchase may need to consider:
    1) I am using this vacuum cleaner in a household of 2 adults – we don’t make a great deal of mess and so I only vacuum the house once a week max. I might not recommend this vacuum cleaner for a larger household, especially with younger kids who might make a lot of mess. The cylinder isn’t especially big, and so would likely fill up a lot quicker and perhaps too quickly to be worth it.
    2) My house has low pile carpet, which means that the vacuum cleaner doesn’t need a great deal of suction in order to get any dirt out of it. I have a rug which is a lot thicker and I attempted to use the vacuum cleaner on that and it just didn’t work. You couldn’t move the vacuum at all, and it didn’t clean anything. So if your house does have a high pile carpet, this probably isn’t the vacuum cleaner for you.
    3) As I mentioned above, the cleaner is only really used for a couple of hours a week maximum. The auto cut-out to stop overheating does happen every half an hour or so, but after leaving it a couple of minutes it’s fine again. I can imagine for a more thorough clean, this can be very frustrating and so this is a point to consider. The average run time of 45 mins works great for me, but might not be so great for other families.
    4) This is a cordless vacuum, and so does need charging. This is perfect for me; I live in a rented accommodation, and so I am not able to alter the property. This means that I cannot add more plug sockets in more convenient locations, or drill holes into the wall to fit a charging station. The vacuum cleaner means that I don’t have to worry about these problems. I just need to have a single socket available to charge the vacuum and then I’m good to go. So this is a point to consider if you are in a similar situation as me.
For now, this vacuum cleaner is working great and functions as advertised. I would definitely recommend it.

I ordered this on request of my 84 year old mother who had been recommended the product by a neighbour. It is a smart looking machine that comes with a small brush and a short crevice nozzle.
After charging I tested it out and was impressed by the strength of the suction which matches my mains-powered vacuum.
My mother has since used the Vax and is highly impressed with it hence the five star rating.

A very effective tool. I keep this one upstairs where the floors are a mixture of wood and carpets. Works well on both.
I keep a heavier Vax downstairs – really great combination and neither a bank breaker.
Tried a cheaper version – should have bought these 2 Vax instead. Now well pleased.

    A little disappointed.
I love the design and portability of this, but am a bit disappointed with the suction/pick up. Fine dust is no problem but larger bits don’t pick up straight away, you may need to go over the same area a couple of times, especially on carpeted areas.

ot as powerful as my old corded (Dyson) but bought to do the daily jobs round the house. Lighter and more versatile due to the compact body size, and just powerful enough to do the carpets (perfectly capable on hard floors). Main brush attachment works well, charges quickly enough and plenty of battery to do the house before needing another charge. If you’re after a daily run-around then look no further.

Recently got rid of the carpets in my small Flat in favour of laminate, this VAX Stick is more than adequate to keep floor tidy. Remember that the weight is now at the top instead of supported on the wheels also the dust container is quite small and a spare set of filters is an advantage while the others are washed and dried. Gave my VAX Upright to a family member and both of us are happy bunnies.

Great on dust removal but many buts.
I have had it a few weeks now. Here is the the pros and cons.
    Pros:
    1. Very good suction, picks up more dust than other cordless hoovers I have had.
    2. Easy to use.
    3. Easy to remove filters.
    4. Quick charging.
    5. Easy to put parts together.
    6. Very powerful motor
    7. Very powerful battery.

    Cons:
    1. Power brush gets tangled with cat fur and human hair.
    2. As no grove on the brush head. You have to remove 3 small screws to remove a side bit of plastic off the end of the brush head, to remove the roller brush. The roller brush has to be removed by sliding it out. It is very hard then to remove hair and fur. And then put everything back together again. Why no Grove is a big mistake. Hoovers half the price are easier to remove the brush and remove the hair, if they made a grove all the way along the brush hair removal would be great.
    3. If all you use the main unit, pole and brush head, the hoover is heavy and when you have a crevice tool plus hoover it is still heavy.
    4. Better to have spare filters as it is better to wash the dust off the original filters and use a spare filters while waiting for the other ones to dry.
    5. Hoover is quite noisy when using the power brush.
    6. The crevice toll could be longer.
    7. Due to weight, hoovering a cars footwell is hard even when not using the poll.
    8. Dust container could be bigger.

I am going to keep the hoover due to it picking up so much dust and other dirt. But will buy a cheaper hoover that is lighter and has a grove in the roller brush. The Jabibot is great for removing hair off the brushes and is lighter and less noisy. The only thing, it is not made so well and the last one, the hinge on the lid snapped off. Only plastic and not strong enough to last long.

    Marvellous value
Marvellous cordless vacuum cleaner replacing my old Dyson Cordless. Very impressed with performance and value. The only fly in the ointment is that I have been unable to register my two year guarantee with Vax as they insist on seeing actual written proof of purchase and Amazon these days do not include invoices with their parcels so I could not prove I had actually purchased it and not nicked it. I think Vax are being a bit unreasonable in this regard but I have had to forego the guarantee. The cleaner though is just what I wanted.

Perfect addition for a quick wizz round, much easier to use on the stairs and for the car. Suction is good when on boost mode and yes this drains the battery and gives you a solid 20 minutes, which I think is fine, who wants to be vacuuming for longer than that anyway! Easy to store, quick charge, has certainly made my life easier. I imagine they’re all going to be pretty equal at this price so I went for a well known brand that I liked the look of. It worked for me. Would recommend and would buy again.

    Battery life is best feature
Have used this now for about 3 years and it is still going although I have had to glue a few borken pieces back together over the years it still works.
The battery life is good, only have to charge it every few days.
It’s pretty heavy so probably not suitable for the elderly or anyone with arthritis etc.
Suction isn’t great so to get the best results you need to use it with the spinning brush mode turned on. I find it picks up a surprising amount of dust from carpets and rugs but it’ll struggle with heavier things like if you spill some uncooked rice or somethign like that the suction won’t handle it very well.
Easy to use, empty and clean out. Good cheap alternative to a dyson or a shark but after year or so of use you will start to find little pieces breaking here and there and the whole thing just generally becomeoing a bit wobbly.

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersExcellent vacuum easy to use
This is probably one of the best stick vacuums I’ve purchased so far. The suction power is strong. It is reasonably light considering it houses a good strong motor making it extremely easy to use for me as I am disabled. The head is so well designed that it cleans right up to my skirting boards without the need to use the extra tools included. The pivotal head is another plus point and the lights enabling me to see when I’m vacuuming under furniture are useful. Emptying is easy. I find it helpful to empty it after every use. I would recommend buying a spare set of filters so that the filters can be washed regularly whilst always having a spare set to use while washed filters are drying. I have learned the hard way over the years that if a vacuum isn’t looked after by regular maintenance it will ultimately lose suction power. I’ve had a vax blade before so I knew to ignore some of the negative reviews as I feel that it is lack of maintenance that effects the performance of any vacuum cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersChanging to a lightweight cleane
This is our first experience with a light weight rechargeable vacuum and we considered all sorts of options before opting for the Vax, based also on our liking for the brand. The cleaner has done everything we expected and the battery life seems more than enough for an average family home. It does need emptying regularly but we attribute this to the powerful suction. Another small downside is that its not so good as a handheld to get into tight spaces to use in a car which is a pity but otherwise we are very satisfied and wished we had bought it earlie

This is good stick style cleaner, first time I have owned this type of cleaner. It is fantastic to not have to drag a long hosed heavy cleaner around any more as it is lightweight compared to my old style cleaner. The suction is good and gets into corners OK. The best bit is you can see when it needs emptying which is an easy task. Overall very satisfied.

Love my new stick cleaner as does my cleaner!
Works really well on sitting room carpet leaving it bit free. And a daily quick zip over the carpet keeps it looking good.
Cleaner used it today and did the whole of my small house and there was battery left by the end. Easy to empty and easy to knock dust out if filter. A bit heavy but in use it doesn’t make it difficult to use and it is very manoeverable. Am v happy with my purchase

    Excelle
I have to say I am super impressed with this hoover, we didn’t want to splash out 300-400 on a Dyson so decided to look elsewhere – we had seen/heard good things about this machine and we were not disappointed. Suction is really great for a cordless, the rotary brush head works a dream for getting up dog hairs and has done wonders for our carpet. The battery life is pretty good too, we easily are able to do a full coverage of the house with some juice left to spare – that is with the boost mode on and brush head turned on too, you’d get loads more time by turning both of these off. With them both turned on you get around 25-30mins and when off up to the full 45mins advertised. It’s mega easy to empty, filters are easy to access and clean and it super easy to dismantle and attach new head etc.
Overall in first week of use it’s been spot on – would highly recommend if you are looking for a cordless hoover that has the performance at a really great price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe best cordless vacuum cleaner we've owned, but not quite as good as a wired one
This is the first cordless vacuum cleaner we’ve owned that does almost as good a job as one you have to plug in. It takes around three to four hours to recharge, giving you around half an hour’s worth of vacuuming before it needs recharging again. It’s obviously suited to lighted jobs, so we keep it upstairs (where the dog isn’t allowed) to save lugging our heavier wired vacuum cleaner up the stairs every time we need to clean. It’s reasonably lightweight, although somebody who is frail may still struggle with it, and comes with lots of different attachments for all of the types of vacuuming you may need to do. As you may imagine, with a vacuum cleaner this size, the dust collector (which doesn’t require a bag) is only quite small, so if you’re doing a heavier clean you may need to empty it a few times. All-in-all, it’s perfect for light jobs – which is why we’ve limited it to our upstairs. If you’re looking for something that is suitable to clean your whole house, and especially if you have pets, I wouldn’t recommend this. If, however, you have a small place and your vacuuming workload is light, this could be the perfect buy for you – or maybe, like us, you want a second vacuum cleaner for your upstairs floor, to save wear and tear on your main vacuum cleaner.

This is. Lightweight vaccine which is great as the last thing you want is to be carrying a heavy cordless around the house with you!! Easy and simple to use. The battery life is abit on the short side compared to what is states, doesn’t last as long as it states, but this is the case with many brands out there!!
The suction is good but not as powerful as I would like! I have a Dyson cordless too, so when comparing to that, the auction on this is not as good!! It does pick up a lot and it’s great. For the price you are just getting vac!! I would prefer to spend the little extra and get a powerful cordless, but if you are on a budget, then this isn’t cheap but it isn’t something that will create a huge hole in your pocket!
It’s a good vac..but if you have pets then would not suggest this!!

This Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is very practical for some places in the house, like me before to clean in one size of the table I have to place the vacuum cleaner on the bed was the only way because of the cable was no longer enough, ith this one, I have just to jump there and clean very easy.

Is very easy to use and is heavy as I expected but easy to clean and carry around. Is perfect for small houses.
The suction is the problem sometimes I this is no powerful enough but makes different when the battery is a full charge and the deposit is empty.

Very easy to assemble and easy to charge come with a charger. Is great for small places and great for storage, I have under the door and didn’t take much space.

    Really Powerful -Brilliant!
This is an outstanding vacuum cleaner. I have to admit, I was hoping, rather than expecting that this would work well, but from the moment I opened the box I knew I was on to a winner. The first great thing is that the machine is about as simple as it could possibly be to assemble: literally two parts to click together. The most difficult thing was locating the power socket and that’s only because I didn’t bother to read the manual. As I expected you are instructed to plug it in for a while (four hours) before you can start using it. There is a very clear set of lights showing how much charge there is (25, 50, 75 and 100 %). Once charged you click the head to the pipe and switch on…
Wow! The suction is brilliant and when you hit the turbo and the brush buttons…well!
I really can’t praise this highly enough. It’s just as good as, actually better than, my current mains operated cleaner and there appears to be no issue with battery life- I’ve just used it to vacuum an entire 3 bedroom bungalow with no loss of suction or power. It’s also surprisingly lightweight and very maneuverable
    Brillant! Highly recommended.

    Nice lightweight powerful vacuum
I’ve been a fan of cordless vacuums for a few years now – so much in fact the thought of lugging around a heavy corded machine now seems an ancient chore!

The vax blade seems to fit in the more budget conscious category of cordless vacuums but I’m pleased to say is up there with the best of them in terms of build quality, performance and ease of use.

The machine seems well built and the included accessories have a nice quality feel to them – you get a standard floor head with brush bar, a dusting brush and crevice tool. What’s really handy is that all the tools can be used with or without the extension tube making either a full upright vacuum or a compact handheld.

Features I like include the battery indicator which is split into 4 light up sections (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%). There is also a light strip on top of the vacuum which illuminated white indicating good battery health and turns red as things are running low. Speaking of battery life, I live in a fairly large 2 bedroom flat comprising of hard floor and carpet and can easily get round it all on 2 bars of charge. This equates to around 15 minutes using the brush bar and boost mode, and about 10 minutes without the brush bar. When you turn the vacuum on it automatically defaults to boost mode but with the brush bar turned off. This is helpful if you’re using it on hard floor as it avoids scratching. The boost mode is necessary on high pile carpets otherwise the vacuum leaves lots of bits behind.

The performance is outstanding on both carpets and hard floor and I soon found the 0.6l bin filling up, it’s surprising what bits lurk behind on floors! One thing I miss from other vacuums is a light on the floor head but this is no deal breaker and I suppose it’s inclusion would be detrimental to battery life.
Emptying the vacuum is simple as the bin lid simply unclips and the dust falls out but I did find larger clumps of dirt would remain inside and stick to the filter. As vax advice it’s a good idea every 3-4 empties to fully strip the unit down and wash the filters. This doesn’t take too long and pays dividends when the machine gives better performance after a clean.

One thing that really impressed me with the machine was it’s ability to get under furniture. The floor head has quite a slim profile so can easily fit under chest of drawers, sofas etc and the handle can be literally flush with the floor and it still allows the floor head to pick up – this has been designed extremely well.

Although I don’t own pets and can’t comment on that aspect I was pleased with what the vacuum picks up and the amount of power it has – it certainly obsoleted the use of a corded machine in our household.

It’s also not too noisy in operation, it’s by no means silent but it’s not obtrusive. You certainly wouldn’t worry about disturbing a neighbour when using it.

Charge time is quoted at around 4 hours which seems reasonable, a wall bracket is included which I would consider essential because the vacuum can not freestand as it is top heavy. Unless you have lots of room to lay the unit down, I would suggest wall mounting if near to a plug outlet or disconnecting the extension tube and floor head from the main body after each use. I have opted for the later and the main unit sits nice on a shelf in my cleaning cupboard.

A good thing about vax machines I have found is the availability of spare parts, which is good as I expect the filters will wear over time and need replacement. In order to maintain good performance it is vital the filters are kept clean and dry and the stuck hairs and fibres are cleared from the brush head regularly.

All in all I really rate the vax blade for the price and couldn’t find anything to pull it down on. I’m not sure whether it’s by nature of design or just my unit but after use the dust bin seems to get dusty on the outside – I just have to be careful and give it a wipe down after use before the bits fall to the floor. If it becomes an Issue I will contact Vax and see what they advise. Thanks for reading my review.

The Vax Blade 32 V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is very versatile and agile. Quick and easy to manoeuvre around the floor and under tables, chairs, sofas, etc. It is light to manoeuvre especially when you transform it to the handheld.

The battery could be a little better as having a largeish house it does run out before I finish. When finished it easily dismantles for under the stairs or cupboard storage.

The Vax Blade 32 V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner does come with additional attachments ideal for cobwebs and dust and also for the car. It is a little big for the car as I find it difficult getting it under the seats.

The collector of dust and debris is easy to operate and you don’t get your hands dirty – and yes it’s bagless.

Overall the Vax Blade 32 V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is excellent and strong at hoovering up debris.

    Vax Blade 32V
    Cordless Vacuums in General
    ———————————-

There are some things about cordless vacuums that apply to them as a whole, and not specifically to a brand or model. I’ve used 3 in my time and I find generally, the negatives across the board are poor batteries, and clogging.

If you’re new to cordless vacuums, then they are a bit specific for purpose. They won’t be good if used for the wrong thing. I find that they’re excellent for small flats, hard floors, no pets and light and regular cleaning, but i’m yet to find one that can handle the heavy duty nature of cleaning a whole household and a whole house.

To keep them working, they need regular cleaning – the filters in the small tanks are designed to be swilled every 2-3 uses, and emptied after every use. Regular maintenance is important in keeping them working. The batteries are also the entirety of the technology sometimes, and Lithium batteries work with a kind of ‘memory’ – so do a full charge on first use, and run them down to empty every time before recharging. Intermittent recharging on part battery heath is what can destroy the battery life and make it very annoying to use in the long run.

    This Vax Blade 32v
    ———————-

It’s worth bearing in mind that this vacuum is half the price of one of the big guns in cordless vacuums, and I think with technology like this, you get what you pay for. It works, but not to the same level as a Shark Cordless.

Having had a few Vax products in my time, and with the Vax Air Lift Pet corded actually being one of the best i’ve ever had, I don’t think they’re complete trash. They can be a bit hit or miss with their products though, as i’ve had a handheld corded Vax before which wasn’t very good. As a company, they can be a bit guilty of saying what will sell, and using terminology for marketing rather than what is actually within the capabilities of the vacuum, so that’s worth bearing in mind.

The parts of this are very plastic – something typical with Vax machines, but not too much of a hinderance. The unit itself is lightweight, though not the most ergonomical. It’s perfectly fine for regular users, but the weight distribution and handling is a little awkward, if you have arthritic hands, for example.

The Helix system is much like the one in my corded Air Lift Pet, and it is very powerful. I have a cordless Bosch and a cordless Shark and both have a smaller cyclone filter with the removable soft filters; this one has a removable filter but it’s bulkhead is designed far more like an upright corded vacuum. It’s not as easy to clean, but it’s more powerful for more time between cleans.

The wall hanging adapter is nice and small, which is great as it’s unlike the big ugly ones the Dyson V series come with.

It charges with a generic looking 12v charger, which I would recommend adding a label to in some way to prevent it getting lost or misused for something else.

The battery life is brilliant from first use, but don’t get charmed by this. It claims 45 minutes which is true, but it’s less with Boost on – a setting which you’ll find you need more permanently as time goes by – and it’s realistically more of a 25 minute run time if the battery is looked after properly. It depends how quick of a cleaner you are (and how big your house is) but expect it to need recharging after each use.

This for me works the best if used for a car. Again, we’re going back to the ‘fit for purpose’ idea, and with this Vax it’s about seeing past it’s desire to say “it’ll work for everything!” and actually seeing it for what it is good for, and what it isn’t. The powerful cordless nature of it works really well for cars as it gets in to small spaces, is powerful enough to pick up the likes of stubborn sand and dirt, and is super manoeuvrable. Like many cordless vacuums, and vacuums, it’s not immune to needing regular cleaning and maintenance. That battery life is definitely a problem, and it needs looking after from day 1. And clogs are prominent particularly with wet dust and the helix system, as it relies on the small holes in it for the suction, so it needs rinsing at least once a month with it emptying every time and checking the filter every time. It’s more than a corded vac might need, but it will save it being useless in the long run.

So would I buy this to clean a whole house? No. Would I buy it as a spare for tasks where a corded vac is too cumbersome? Yes.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersLightweight and easy to handle, but annoying to charge.
The main advantage of stick vacuums is that you don’t need to plug them in or trail a cable around behind you as you’re doing the vacuuming. If you’ve never tried one before this freedom of movement is somewhat liberating – no more do guiltily leave that bit in the corner that the vacuum won’t reach. However, the downside is you still need to charge the thing up, and you also need to make sure you’ve got enough power to do the whole house.

This Vax has enough power, but you’ll find yourself using it at ‘full power’ all the time, and with the brush bar switched on. This gives you as much power as a traditional plug-in vacuum, and a single full charge will give you enough juice to do a reasonable sized two-bedroom house. Suction is fine, as long as you have the beater bar running. Without this, it tends not to ‘unstick’ debris from the floor.

Assembly is easy, you won’t need to look at the instructions – it all just clicks together. You can leave out the middle section and use it as a ‘dust buster’ style vacuum if you prefer.

Capacity is..ok. You’ll probably need to empty it after each room, and the emptying procedure is not terribly good. In theory you just unclip the door to the dust receptacle and tip it out, but in practice fluff and hair tends to get stuck and you’ll find yourself prodding things free. It’s a bit manky, but not a huge issue.

In use, it’s pretty quiet. You won’t scare the pets.

The only downside to this vacuum is charging it up. Unlike some stick vacuumes, you can’t stand it upright. It comes with a clip that you can attach to the wall, but this involves drilling holes in your wall! And of course, it needs to be close to a charging point, so effectively you’re turning your vacuum into wall art. A self-standing one could be left out while you charge it, and then put away in a cupboard, but this one can’t. If you have somewhere discreet to charge it up, this won’t be a problem, but in a small house it’s not the most attractive thing to have out.

If you found this review useful, I’d love it if you let me know by clicking below.

The Vax cordless was delivered quickly and arrived charged so l was able to immediately use. It is a neat cordless with two additional buttons that can be pressed for additional “turbo” and also to rotate the brush head.
I always have these two activated. The cordless has an efficient suction and was able to pick up dog hairs easily, making this a good choice for pet owners to do a quick tidy up.
It is so easy to use that my children were happy to do some vacuuming, an added benefit!
The charge did not take long and lights up when complete.

A good little cleaner for its price - but oh, the handle is so uncomfortable
I’m impressed overall with this vacuum. It’s suction is pretty good, though not on a par with my (way more expensive) Shark. The battery lasts a decent length of time – enough to do a small house or flat. The head is quite small, which again says it’s better for smaller spaces – it would be a pain to hoover a whole 4 bed house with it. But just looking at it, you’ll see that’s not its intended market. It’s also quick and easy to put together – had it up within seconds without needing to check the instructions. (The instructions, mind, are also very good – they feature actual explanatory words instead of trying to figure out a series of baffling pictures.) It’s a little short on tools but has the key ones (brush and crevice tool), which seems reasonable at this price.
The shine came off a little within a few minutes of starting to use it. I don’t even know how it’s possible to make a handle this uncomfortable to hold. All hard edges, square shapes, wrong angles for how you’ll be holding it. Honestly, it’s a baffling oversight – did no one at Vax actually try using it? So that’s another reason it wouldn’t be suited to a large house; it would kill your hands. However, for small vacuuming jobs in smaller spaces, it is bearable and do-able. It’s just so annoying that such a silly mistake could have been made.
Taken overall, however, this is a good, lightweight cleaner at a reasonable price that has a good vacuum head, pretty good suction and a decent battery life.

    Pluses:
    * Straightforward to assemble – simply click the wand into the powered head and pushing the handheld part on top of the wand.
*There is an indicator light, easily seen, on the top of the handheld, which gauges the percentage charge. It came with some charge, and took about 3 hours to get 100% charge.
*The on switch keeps on so you don’t have to keep this pressed in.
*Suitable for both carpets and hard floors.
*Easy to access filters for cleaning.
*Comes with 2 additional attachments – crevice and dusting brush. There are additional attachments available to buy.
*The running time for me using boost for carpets was about 20 minutes.
*Suction was pretty powerful and even picked up dog hairs.
    *Competitively priced.

    Negatives:
*It has to be mounted to the wall (wall bracket provided). If you don’t want to do this then it has to be laid flat which it terms of space could be difficult. This would have been better to have a docking station provided.
    *The handheld is fairly heavy.
*The cylinder for emptying is on the side and I found it a bit trickier to empty than those which have the cylinder at the back.

    Improved suction power.
I was very impressed with this cordless vacuum cleaner. It has a bit more power than the 24V version which I reviewed previously. Like its less powerful cousin the battery levels are clearly displayed, it is light in weight and it is easy to use. It is also easy to empty and clean. It has a rotating carpet beater / brush bar which is easy to remove when you need to do so in order to get rid of the inevitable hair which accumulates around it. It also has a boost mode for high traffic areas and places where dust and fluff accumulates. As you might expect it comes with various attachments for dealing with tight spaces, furniture, curtains etc and it can be used without the lance for vacuuming stairs and the car. The main difference between this 32V version and the 24V version is the improved suction power. The 24V version is no slouch in that department but for just a few quid more this one is better. Ideal and relatively inexpensive. Recommended.

Great hoover from a trusted brand.
I really like a cordless hoover – they take up less space for storage, making them ideal for a smaller home; They are lightweight and easy to carry upstairs, which is handy; and they offer terrific results. Vax is a well known brand for cleaning products, and I think their cordless hoover is great. It comes with a hanging bracket which appears relatively simple to attach and a range of attachments which make the hoover multifunctional. The lightweight cylinder makes it ideal for cleaning the stairs and ceiling cornices, and is easy to empty. I have read reviews where people said they had to dig around to get the cylinder to empty, but I haven’t come across this problem. I guess my advice would be to empty the cylinder regularly – obviously, a cordless item.is not going to have as large a dust drum as a bigger, corded hoover. Also, I have to be honest – I have a corded, heavy duty hoover which I use monthly to give the whole house a thorough clean. The cordless hoover is ideal for light jobs, maintaining my Home in between the big hoovers. I do feel that the cordless hoover might struggle with heavy duty jobs, but used as a daily freshener, is ideal. The hoover works on both carpet and laminate, so I hoover every room with this, even my kitchen. It isnt too noisy, and holds its charge really nice well – it is simple to plug in and charge up while in storage. I am very happy with this hoover, and find it ideal for day to day cleaning.

Good overall performance but not the bes
This cordless vacuum from Vax was tested in a large two bedroomed flat with wooden floors and a cat

    Pros:
Its lightweight and easy to manoeuvre
There is no power cord to hold you back by limiting your range from the plug or getting tangled in furniture
Its great for cleaning up small messes that you would otherwise use a dustpan and brush for
The brush bar can be switched on and off
    Its easy to empty

    Cons:
It’s not as powerful as a corded vacuum cleaner and may not be suitable for the whole house. You can buy a Bosch Athlet for this price which will fulfil that function
The detachable head is hard to detach and quite large and heavy

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersQuite good - with downsides
The Vax Blade 32 V vacuum cleaner really is quite amazing.

I would give the vacuum a four out of 5 for the overall look, structure of the Hoover and also for how powerful it is.

The VAX blade 32 V vacuum is powerful but not loud at all, at first I was worried nothing was being cleaned due to the vacuum not being super loud so I had a look at the compartment where the dirt would go and noticed there was a lot being picked up whilst I was hoovering.
As I live upstairs in a flat this works well for me as I can vacuum at any time and not cause any disturbance.
The vacuum is very light weight and slender looking great to store away. Another great factor is that the over comes with a clip you can attach to the wall with three screws once this is attached to the wall you can clip the vacuum on to there and have I standing safely on the wall, the only downside is that you will need to buy the screws yourself as they do not come with the accessories.
The battery running time is 45 minutes and the vacuum took a while to charge over an hour but this is the first time I have charged the vacuum as I decided to use it as soon as I unpacked the vacuum.
There was already some battery life once the vacuum was delivered. On the handle there is a section which shows the percentage of battery life left and also a red battery sign will she up when it needs charging.
There is a button called boost mode which enables the vacuum to become more powerful.
The Vax Blade 32 V comes with two accessories to help hoover hair and get into corners that are high to reach or hard to get into.
The vacuum can also turn in to a car hoover which will save you money on going to a car wash when all you need is a quick hoover up. The fact that this vacuum is cordless has made it so much easier to hoover up I am able to hoover my two bedroom flat and stairs in 10minutes.
The cordless vacuum comes with a charger which is basically like a phone charger you just plug into the hoover.
The only downside I can think of to this vacuum is the fact that it is quite short,
I am 5ft3 so if you are average height or quite tall this wouldn’t work for you. I have tried to figure out if the vacuum does go any longer but I have not been able to figure this out so I am guessing it does not go any longer, this is also not stated on amazon either.
Due to the hefty price you are paying for the vacuum this should be an important factor, this would be the main reason for giving a 4/5. I would still highly recommend purchasing the Vax Blade 32 V cordless vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVax Blade Cordless 32v
The first amazing feature is this cordless light vax Blade can be stored on the wall on a bracket.

It is really good on stairs, carpet, solid floor and even the car with a dusting and crevice attachment added when you remove the detachable main tube.

The Helix horizontal Cyclone technology impressive.Feels so balanced and effortless to use.

No bags just empty into the bin by a button.

45 mins running time and easy to charge.

Have this a 5 star review as it does the job extremely well and also has a 2 year warranty.

    Nice and Lightweight.
This is a decent vacuum cleaner.
    Easy to assemble.
    Great for the stairs.
    Great for laminate floors.
Great for use in the kitchen.

More suction would get 5 stars, but very good all the same.

Light on my wrists and easy to hoover around the house
Since i have painful wrists most vacuums tend to hurt, As most tend to be heavy and hard to move around the house. This lightweight cordless cleaner made such an improvement to my quality of life, Allowing me to clean every carpet without straining myself.

The vacuum has an easy empty system that does not need a bag, And seems to handle cat litter and thick carpets well. It seems to do a good job in the bathroom and kitchen, Picking up all the food crumbs and fragments of dust. This is an excellent upgrade from my old vacuum cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPowerful suctio
Easy to put together, nice and light weight, easy to install hanging bracket onto the wall and just start charging for the required 4 hours before starting to use. I live in a two bedroom bungalow and have no stairs to try it on but did clean all the rooms in the house on 25% charge, we have grand children visit every day so plenty to clean up. This Vac cordless cleaner picked up ok on all the different floor types we have better than our usual vacuum cleaner did and was quieter . I emptied the dust/ debris and fluff off the lounge carpet easy enough into the bin, the foam filter was pretty well clogged up but easy to remove dust from and replace. I am 70 years old and found this Vac easy to operate and light enough to soon go through our house with ease. Of course I cannot comment how it fares on stairs but it cleans great for what I need it for and I have no hesitation in giving a 5 STAR review, I shall post an update in a few weeks time.

Great - particularly for laminate floors
This arrived today, so I thought I would give it a try out.
Well packaged, mainly in cardboard with some polythene bags for the components.
Mine arrived partially charged so I charged it up and we were off!
Ladies, this is a male review so please take that into account!
I used it on the carpet tiles in our kitchen area and it effortlessly picked up all the bits and cat hair. Very easy to use but seems a little strange to have the weight at the top unlike traditional mains vacuums.
Next used it on laminate flooring – super. Picked up everything without any problem.
Then the carpets. Here it struggled a bit. It certainly picked up ok but left the carpet needing a deeper clean. It may be that over time, it will improve but I fancy it’s fine for carpets but doesn’t clean to the same depth as a more powerful mains cleaner.
Run time? As advertised plus some. That may reduce a bit with use but still enough to do the ground floor of most houses with plenty left.
I also used it on the carpeted stairs. Easy! Much less of a chore than usual.
I’m well impressed. Makes cleaning as simple as it used to be with a carpet sweeper. Only difference is, this picks up the dirt! The lack of cable is a real plus.
In most houses with a mix of hard floor and carpet, this is an ideal alternative to a mains vacuum and makes the job much easier. I liken it to the difference between a battery/mains drill. I hardly ever use a mains powered drill now and when I do the drudge of getting power to where I want it, defeats the object.
4 stars only because it seems to lack a bit of suction on the deep pile carpet. Time will tell in that respect.
