Purchased the item after family saying how easy of using steam mop on floor cleaning.
I have engineer wood flooring, have tried varies mop to clean the floor.
The steam mop is a game changer! Much easy and time saving, the result is good too.
I took advice of mixing vinegar with water in the steam mop.

Had some hiccups with the mop – needing to consult amazon customer service.
    The support was good.

easy to assemble and i took overseas in hold luggage – fitted easily in wheeled holdall (pre assembled).

After using a steam cleaner that takes so long to heat up and cool down to top up, this is a game changer. After filling up and switching on, it is ready in a matter of seconds and makes cleaning an awkard flagstone floor (complete with bumps and uneven grouting) a breeze. I like the hoover-style mechanism that allows you to switch between a locked vertical position and flexible mopping position with one click, stopping it flopping over when you want to store it or leave it upright in the middle of a room. The provided cloths are good quality, grip on well and are easy to wash. I recommend a second batch to rotate between mopping as they take a bit of drying after washing. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Pumps out enough steam to lift grime, I was shocked how much dirt came up. Very easy to fill and use, no complicated setting, just a dial and on off button. Comes with 2 quality washable pads and a carpet glider. Some basic assembly required but nothing to taxing. For the price I can’t fault it.

I was all for buying the Shark one but wasn’t prepared to pay all that.
This one is half the price and does the job perfectly. Doesn’t take long at all to start steaming.
It goes flat when mopping under things like the dining chairs which is really handy.

I use it for my textured porcelain tiles in my kitchen. Amazing how much dirt it picks up.

    Recommended and amazing price.

I’ve just mopped…twice… the hall and kitchen floor with a normal mop . This arrived 90 min later. The picture shows what came up. In fairness to the review I am having a kitchen fitted and workmen are in and out, …so the floor was filthy. They did not walk on the previously mopped area. Pleasantly surprised. Only used on low setting as I have new laminate flooring and kardean, so nervous to use higher setting.

    Wow

Really good product. Love the long cord, fast heat up & so easy to use. My kitchen floor has white textured Lino on it (I must’ve been mad buying it because it isn’t easy to keep clean & regularly needs a scrubbing brush on it) Happily, after the first use with this steamer there was a vast noticeable difference in the floor. The 2nd attempt brought the rest of the marks & muck off! I’d post pics of the head cloths but I’m too embarrassed to show all the di

I purchased another steam floor cleaner from a competitor whose name begins with V as well last year and it was a huge disappointment and nothing but problematic, with multiple calls to the helpline and claims on the warranty.

This one was fully assembled and in use within 10 minutes and just works. The kitchen floor was cleaned within 25 minutes of opening the box.

The floor was a little wet, but my Emop fixed that within a minute.

It doesn’t go fully into the internal corners, but another little mop especially for that fixed that within a further minute.

Very happy – thank you Vileda.

Having tried a few different steam mops over the years including the shark flip one, thought I would try the Vileda as it was on a special offer. Absolutely love it, easy to build, very quick to heat up, light to push around and a joy to use. I’ve steamed everywhere. We have mainly hard floors but many rugs and it refreshed the rugs beautifully. Having dogs with muddy paws I need something I can get out quickly and it be ready to go. The Vileda fits the brief perfectly. I would recommend buying some extra pads as once you get going you won’t be able to stop. I don’t usually write reviews, but this little beauty deserves all the praise.

This steam mop is light weight and very easy to use. The swivel head s really good and can get into tight awkward places like around toilet pedestals. It is easy to fill and produces a lot of steam from one fill. It has a good long power cord. It performs better than I expected.

Lovely little steamer easy to use and fix the pads on , only takes a couple of mins to heat up and the two cups of water in it goes really far. easy to store away as its pretty slim line. the only down side I can find so far with the steamer is cord length I have to keep unplugging it as it is to short to even do just one side of my down stairs which is a bit of a inconvenience .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve only had this mop about a week but I am kicking myself for not buying it sooner as I’ve been looking at it for a while. Previously I cleaned my floor every couple of days and came to the realisation that my floors still didn’t seem as clean so thought I’d finally cave and buy this. So far I have not regretted it. I have been using it daily as we are an active household with a cat and dog who gets muddy every day during this miserable weather and it is still coming up black! I have tried it on my carpets but stupidly lost the black attachment already but it is still possible without the carpet glider. I’ll be refreshing my carpets every few days until the pads show less dirt.
For perfect floor cleaning I spray some floor cleaner on the floor before I stream to pre sanitise. For the carpets I steam once, spray carpet freshener and change the pad and go over again which leaves the house smelling lovely.
I’ve found that the mop doesn’t leave any marks on laminate or tiles as I don’t leave the mop facing down on the floor when it is hot.

So far so good and I’m hoping that it will last.

Within 5 minutes of this steam mop arriving, I’d assembled it and was cleaning my travertine kitchen floor. Very easy to assemble, two pushes and two clicks and it’s done. My kitchen floor had been mopped two days before and was supposedly clean, but the pad showed otherwise. The handle is long and I’ve noticed that some users didn’t like this, but since it’s pushed out in front of you, it’s fine and it twists and moves around so you can get into corners and along edges. The pad is easy to attach and remove, I’m just abiut to put it into the washer now. Never expected to be washing my kitchen floor on a Sunday afternoon, but I was keen to try it out and I’m very pleased, easy to use and is very effective.

Fantastic! So glad I bought one. We have a large tiled floor, and this cleans it perfectly, and so easily and quickly. You do need to do a quick sweep/hoover first or you end up with a few lines of dirt/fluff – though this can be wiped up afterwards quite easily. I use it on quite a low setting and it cleans superbly. Haven’t been brave enough to use it on our wood floor yet but I’m sure on a low setting it’ll be fine. So easy to use, so quick to start up. Would definately recommend it.
The only point to note is the handle is pretty tall, so you’ll need to make sure you have a cupboard tall enough to store it.

This is my first steam mop and I wish I’d bought one sooner. I have both hard wood and tiled floors and I have tried the steam mop on both. Firstly, turns out they were filthy (I’ve been using a normal mop) and secondly it took me a fraction of the time I’d usually spend mopping. I’m super impressed you can wash and reuse the cloth attachment, and also I have a doggo so I’m pleased I can clean well without exposing him to chemicals. Cannot fault this steam mop, it’s a pleasure to use

    Deeply satisfying

Ah finally!! A steam mop that does what I want it to do!! I’ve had a couple of cheaper steam mops, and I finally had enough when my most recent one kept cutting out the steam every 30 seconds to “recharge”.

The Vileda is clearly a cut above the rest. It feels sturdy, doesn’t creak at every move and pushes out constant steam. I love it! Ok so the handle isn’t adjustable and IS very long, but at 5 ft 3 it doesn’t cause too much of an issue for me. The cord length could also be longer – but to be honest, I’m just glad I’ve found my mop (housewife comment of the year!). All the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion.

Definitely recommend spending the money to get this, you won’t be disappointed.

Easy to store away, and so simple to use for a notive, like myself. Highly recommended this product. My only regret, I should have got it years ago, rather than literally clean the floors on my hand abd knees

I was a bit dubious having had multiple steam mops in past. However, this has built in water tank so no breaking or leaky tanks! You have little container to fill the tank included along with two mop cloths. They velcro onto the base. This handled doggy print floors easily. The only reason I marked it down was because you have to have the cloth on when using the carpet glider. If you don’t, the velcro catches on carpet. Also, you can’t take off handle once assembled so quite tall. Still, good overall performance. Add some essential oil to water to give great fresh smell. I used lemon. Enjoy!

This was a replacement for one which stopped working after 2.5 years. This mop does a great job and takes around 1 minute to heat up. No water left on the floor as others I’ve had previously have left a lot of water on the floor but this one doesn’t. It’s easy to use and the mop head pad comes off easily for cleaning. Really like this mop and hope this one lasts longer than 2.5 years. Good value at 49.99 but wouldn’t pay over 80 which is normal price now.

This is my first steam mop – and I love it. I did my homework and checked a lot of review sites before I bought. This scored well and I would say it is even better than I expected. Some folk say it leaves floors a little too wet. Well, I can only say my one does not. Just a little damp on the surface which evaporates really fast -in much less than a minute, taking about the same time or less as any old-fashioned wet floor mop, but leaving a much cleaner floor. Even my well worn grubby wood floors have come up a treat, with no surface damage. Thoroughly recommend this steam mop.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOk so here goes . I bought this some time ago and used it on my textured tiled kitchen floor , I wasn’t impressed , it seemed rough on the tiles and I wondered if it would be scratching them ! The mop head wasn’t particularly dirty when I took it off either . I have three dogs so know the floors filthy most of the time when Iv not bucket and mopped it over and over !! Anyway I thought I’d sell it on and whilst looking up the product details realised I’d been a PILOCK , no other word for it . There’s a hard plastic ” slider” that I thought went on over the mop head to be used all the time. Hmmmmm this is a slider head for when you wish to freshen up carpets .. doh . Whilst doing tiled floors you just have the mop head on and hey presto the filth lifts right up of the textured tiles . IM IMPRESSED needless to say I’m not selling the steam mop on now . The cord length is a little short I feel but if your lucky “like me ” there’s usually a socket somewhere handy so it’s not a problem .

Seems sturdy and well built. Controls very clear. Bought primarily for kitchen and bathroom ceramic tile floors. I was concerned initially because the tiles looked a lot wetter after I gone over them, but it dries quickly enough so I am happy to use it in my usual way. As it happens I have a similar velcro pad left from an earlier machine. I am hanging on to that as a spare to ‘dry’ the floor if I need it dry in superquick time.

Have just received this today and tried it straight away, it really does thoroughly clean floors to looking new. Was so busy using forgot to take photos however very impressed. Assembled easily and it’s very lightweight so easy on the arms. Had realised my floors were not as clean as they could be after using this l find out just how unclean the floor had been. Heats up very quickly and the mop captures corners really well due to its triangular shape.

Unlike previous steam mops I’ve had in the past, this one has a steam regulator so you can choose how much stream is produced.
I have Amtico Flooring which Amtico does not recommend using a steam mop to clean. They told me that the high pressure steam could effect the glue used to stick the tiles down, but having the option of low stream it has not effected the glue. This mop cleans the floor with ease. Only issue I have is that the power cord is very short; about half the length compared to the power cord on a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have had a houseful of builders for weeks (although it seems more like eternity), who amongst other things have laid laminate floor in every room on the ground floor. We also have a ginormous Newfypoo puppy, who often returns from walks soggy and covered with mud, twigs and various other detritus. I had previously thought that using a steam cleaner on laminate flooring was a no no, but the chap who fitted ours advised us to get one for use on the laminate, so after much research we plumped for this one. We also got some deionised water as our tap water is loaded with chalk. I have only had a few goes at steam floor cleaning and certainly it does a good job as the microfiber cloth finishes up filthy dirty. However, either because I am a novice at steam cleaning, or for some other reason: it does leave some slight marks on the laminate when dry. I am told that adding white vinegar to the water prevents that…. I will report back when I have tried that, or detergent made for steam mops. Anyway, it does a good job of laminate floors, just make sure that you only get them slightly damp otherwise it will cause damage.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLast week I mopped my small kitchen and bathroom lino floor (an area of about 10 m) a week ago with floor cleaner and boiling hot water straight from the kettle, but look at the state of the used pad compared to the unused one after using this stream mop for the first time!

In terms of ease of assembly and use it was super easy, and I only needed to check the manual to see how much water to put in it.

During use it provided constant steam on the highest setting. When using it on carpet it was super easy to use with the carpet glider attachment. However when using it on the lino, I found it unusually hard to push it forward with the handle held at my normal Hoover’s handle height (I’m 5’11”), and I found that had to lower the handle by 6-12″ to get it to glide forward smoothly on that surface. If you had a large area of floor to do, this need to stoop all the time could give you back ache, so I wouldn’t recommend it of you are a tall person.

I’ve only used it once so I can vouch for its longevity, but apart from that I’d recommend it.

I only mopped the floor a week ago 😳

Good product for every day cleaning. Love the simplicity of it.
    Constant supply of steam

    Disliked:
No ability to tell how much water is in the reservoir. I can see why they have done this. Its a real simple mop that pumps out steam and will last about 25mins on a full tank. The idea being you fill it up with water and use it till it runs out I believe.

Firstly, it is SO easy to use and not bulky at all! After a week of using it, I can’t imagine my life without it. Having a dog means dog hair gets everywhere, and sometimes my vacuum can’t get all of it. This steam mop is simply amazing for getting that last bit of dust, grime, and hair out of your floors. I bought this to replace my Vax mop which banged flashed and shorted. The Vileda has only just arrived, I have immediately assembled it (easy), and have steamed all my downstairs floors. It is extremely easy to use, very effective and dries quickly. Just use the steam output that is best suited for type of floor. If it’s used on max then it will leave more water residue. I used it on ceramic tiles and Karndean at just under the middle of the control. Very good results, particularly on the mid grey kitchen floor grouting. I can use my Vax pads on it too. Great cord length and good manoeuvrability. Hopefully it will last a while.

Bought to replace a steam mop I had been given that sadly no longer worked. I think adding zoflora or similar to its water tank sent it on its way. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this due to the reviews and my previous steamer was not up to the job! Had to constantly pump when moving and hardly any steam. I didn’t realise how useless it was until I bought this one. Just attempted to the first full clear of the floor and had to stop after 30 mins. Nothing to do with the performance but ran out of clean pads. This mop steamer is amazing and the reviews are spot on. Only managed to do the tiled kitchen and the hard floor livingroom. The dirt removed off was extremely embarrassing but have attached a photo of one pad. I thought the previous mop steamer, different brand, was useless but I didn’t think how useless. Great to manoeuvre and takes about 15 seconds to heat up. Has a dial to control how much steam according to the flooring. The only problem is draining the water from the tank.

    Fantastic steam!

Uses twice and so far very good. Cord length is great. Swivel head is useful and stick on pad means you can get right along edges. Handle very long and does not fold down so cleaner is “tall” which can make storage a bit tricky. Steam is continuous. Mop is lightweight. As far as I can see water reservoir is not detachable so whole mop has to be lifted to empty. However am very happy with purchase and does a very good job.

Nice clear instructions and 2 mop heads, plus fitting for “gliding” on carpets. Certainly worked on my kitchen and utility room floors. I went over them three times, rinsing the pad out each time, before it came back with relatively little dirt on it. Now it works as a quick once over on those floors and keeps them sparkling! I’ve also added floral disinfectant to the water which leaves a fresh perfume in its wake. Will try with lavender ironing water to see how that does. But generally a handy device to use. The long handle means one is distanced and protected from the steam and I find it easy to manoeuvre in corners etc. And the pads come up clean after quick hand wash in the sink, or in washing machine to come up immaculate again. Could do with longer cord but I have a long hall/kitchen/utility room so have to clean in two sections, unplugging and plugging in at another socket. But so much easier than squeegee type mop, it heats up literally in seconds and floors dry really quickly.

  65. Anonymous says:

Once it has heated up you can use it straight away. You don’t need to push or pull hard and can see the dirt on the mop head. The only down side is that you cannot ‘top ‘ up the water, you need to let it use up the water then use the measure to fill it up.

  66. Anonymous says:

We are very pleased with this steam mop which is easily filled with tap water or distilled water (our choice) without the use of additional detergent liquids. Once switched on it produces a continuous steam output (the rate of flow is adjustable) without the need for “triggering”, and cleans the floor very efficiently. On completion the residual water is easily emptied from this simple appliance that works extremely well.

No bothering with having to fill a bucket with water and carry it around as well as a mop. Get the steam mop out, put a bit of water in it, switch it on and off you go. It makes it so much easier to do the floor upstairs in the bathroom too and because there isn’t water, just steam it dries really quickly. I really love it, wish I had bought one years ago and would really highly recommend it.

Great steam mop. Easy to assemble. Glides easy over hard surfaces. Good amount of steam released. Dries quickly. I have a large tiled kitchen and large wood flooring in living room and wish the cord was a lot longer but that’s not a fault with the product, just have to unplug and move around where sockets are available. I recommend to anyone.

This is the best steam mop I’ve had & I’ve had a few .. its nice & light & the shape of the head makes it easy to get into corners. I’ve got a bad back & I can use this mop with one hand. The steam output is fantastic & there’s a great difference from light to heavy steam. I most definitely will not be using any other steam mop again.
