I needed one of these for my uni dorm as the central heater is terrible. This product is excellent keeps my room nice and warm. It’s a delight, but it’s a bit noisy, not excessively. I would recommend

For a 500w heater it does very well. It will heat up a small room quite well.

    A very good buy.

Wasn’t expecting amazing things but I have to say I’m pretty impressed, we have a large kitchen and it’s like being in a fridge. I popped this on and it’s really taken the edfe off, bearing in mind it’s an open space.
Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t make it hot but it’s definitely made a difference. Next I’ll try it in a small closed space and see what it’s like in there.
Very good value for money and easy on the electric bill too.

This little heater is quite amazing. My 9′ x 8′ kitchen has no heating and is really cold (15). This little heater is so easy to operate: just switch on, press standby, select temperature required (19) and within 15 minutes, the whole area is warm. Highly recommended. It did exactly what I wanted it to.

Its a 500w socket mounted heater with an inbuilt thermostat. you can set the temperature you want up to 30 C and it will attempt to keep the air at that temperature. However its rated at 500w so. it’s not going to heat a big room or even a medium sized room unless its very well insulated. it does what it does very well. Be aware that the black grill on the front gets hot enough to burn you while running. leave it for 5 min before attempting to move it from the socket. its not suitable for use with a smart plug as it doesn’t turn on unless you hit a physical button on the face.

An excellent idea, as a personal heater, or as a top up to your existing heating. Also good as background heating. Though just by itself, it would need an extra powerful fan to project into a large room. I am using it every day, and I wonder how long it will last with continuous use. Usually, the electric motor for the fan wears out first.

Very well made but the one drawback is that the display cannot be seen without bending right down to the floor so not for older persons or those with back ailments

These are great but I bought for the caravan, they don’t really heat a big room, they are a bit noisy but do work well and the size is perfect for caravan or small room, good price and made quite well they also swivel so it can be rotated in plug

Purchased for my caravan and to take with me when staying away hotels etc.
Quite often when away staying in hotels or other holiday accommodations I have found the heating to be rubbish, this heater is small enough to keep in my suitcase where ever I go and need to keep warm.
Works well in my caravan not too much power needed.
    Highly recommended.

It is easy to use and I purchased this for my front hall as there is no heating in there, I would say my internal hall is probably about the size of a medium porch. Seems to be economical to use as a heat booster (a lot better than a fan heater), I wouldn’t think just the one would heat sufficiently a larger room of say 14 ft square as is my lounge, I would need at least 2 but I have gas heating anyway. I can recommend this product for singular usage in a small area

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLike many people I am working from home at the moment and do my work in the conservatory. As you can imagine in the morning it is rather chilly so I have this little heater on the dining table about 1 meter away and find it helps take the worst of the cold at bay. I usually start it about 30 mins before I start work and I can see the difference it makes on the thermometer we have out here.

This heater is great for its size. It gives out good heat and will quickly heat a small to medium size room in a house.

However, I did find that the lowest setting (15 degrees) still seemed to have the heater on for quite a long time. I checked with other more accurate thermometers and it was much warmer than 15 degrees in the room. I think it has a long delay to responding to temperature change maybe

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI saw this little plug-in heater and was intrigued. It was inexpensive so I bought it on a whim and, I must admit, I am very pleasantly surprised. The heater itself is quite heavy, relative to its size, so feels sturdy and well-made. It’s dead easy to operate and it kicks out a fair bit of heat. I only wanted it to heat a small space so it is perfect for my needs. I don’t think it’d be the ideal heater for quickly heating up a large cold room, but in a small area, or keeping up the background heat in a larger room where the main heating has gone off, I’d say it’s perfect. Delivery was very quick so excellent all round.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this item as an alternative heating for my kitchen as there are no radiators in there. I cannot say it does not do its job, but it takes a bit longer to warm it up, than it would have taken with any other heaters. Nevertheless, it’s not too bad.

This says it’s a personal heater, which kind of implies it is portable and small, when in fact it is medium sized and better left plugged in. You could carry it around and use the nearest plug socket but I doubt many places would let you do that. It would be great for adding extra heat to a chilly hotel room but it is not that lightweight to carry around, although it is not heavy either.

It has a timer, which is useful. But I would recommend keeping an eye on it as it fits right over the plug socket and if you have any air heaters you will know how hot they can get. This has safety features to avoid overheating so that is useful.

There is no cable and it p!lugs into the wall socket directly sitting on the wall. It actually looks quite neat and is a great option for a wall mounted heater when you just want to plug it in and move it to another room any time you want to. I have other air heaters from this manufacturer and they have lasted years and are reliable, so I expect this one will too. Recommended and useful features. Great for small spaces where space is limited.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI like this heater but you have to have the right place to plug it in. As its basically an enormous plug it will not work with a low plug near the skirting board. You need probably at least 20cm gap between the ground and the plug just to be able to use it.

I have got mine in a gangplank which is not ideal because it is bottom-heavy and tilts the gangplank forward. However, this is not really a problem it just surprised me at first as it tilts the gangplank off the floor.

What I do like about it is that it is only 500W and it has a timer. I used to use a 2KW heater with a thermostat in my loft office and it was easy to forget about it and leave it on all night! This one is either on or the timer turns it off, so it is never turned on and not running. The timer is in hours not minutes which had me puzzled at first! I much prefer a timer to a thermostat.

The other good thing is that as it is 500W it is less expensive and not really hot if you sit right next to it.

The only downside is it is quite noisy and I have to listen to music with headphones on.

    Great for small rooms

This is a review of Warmlite WL44014N Personal PTC Heater, Compact Design…

Firstly please note that there are a number of different products reviewed here. I’m reviewing the little 500W portable heater that plugs directly into a socket.

As such there’s no cable. It could be plugged into an extension cable if required.

This is a lovely little ceramic heater. It plugs directly into the wall and the plug can be turned 90 degrees so the unit is vertical or horizontal.

It’s only 500W but seems to pack a punch.

There’s a blue LED display that tells you what temperature you’ve set it for. + and – buttons allow you to set the temperature to between 15 and 30C. Like most heater thermostats it’s a little flexible. I set it to 15C and put it in a room that was already 18C. It belted away for 5 minutes before turning itself off.

There are two fan speeds – high and low. I didn’t find the fan too noisy in terms of volume but it has a rather noticeable whine that I found harder to ingore than has been the case with other heaters I’ve used.

It also has a very useful 12 hour timer function, in one hour increments If you set it when the heater is off it will turn itself on after X hours. If you set it when the heater’s on it will turn itself off after X hours.

As a compact, relatively low power portable heater it’s great. At, currently, 15 it won’t break the bank.

I can’t comment on reliability / longevity as I’ve just got it.

This is a cute little personal heater. It measures just 7 inches high. It’s ceramic-based, which I believe is a ‘good thing’. You can switch the plug around on the back, so it will fit into your socket or your extension. If you switch it off manually, it winds down for a whole minute before it turns itself off, incidentally.
It is distributed by Warmlite.co by RK Wholesale Ltd, and there is an English contact telephone number on the back. The instructions appear to offer a year guarantee with an extra year if you register with them within 28 days.
The power consumption is 500 W. You can set the temperature between 15 to 30. You can set the fan to go slow or faster. It makes a bit of a whirring sound, but it’s not that intrusive. It also has a timer for up to 12 hours. You can set the timer so that the heater will go off after a certain number of hours or. If you set it while the heater is off, it will turn on after a number of hours. So you can set it to come in 12 hours’ time.
The grille on the top does get very hot so you need to watch that was children.

I will say that it does not work with a smart plug because it has a standby button. By which I mean there is an on switch on the side and a standby switch on the top which you need to press to have it function, so no good for your smart plug controlled by Google or Alexa, but since it has a timer on it, it’s not too much of a problem.

At the moment, I’m using this to take the chill off a freezing cold kitchen in the morning. I’m liking it.

Doesn't work with smart socket, but does have its own switch-on time

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe first thing I noticed about this is the size of it! Its approx 20cm High x 11cm Wide x 9cm Deep.

It plugs directly into a 3 Pin UK Wall Socket, you have the choice to either let it hang down, or you can push the button in on the back and then twist it to a 90 Degrees.

When you switch it on, it instantly starts warming up and pushes out hot air. This is never going to heat a large room, BUT if you have it plugged in near where you are sitting (ideally directly behind you) you certainly feel the benefit.

For 15 I would say the money is right, its a quirky item, but I have to say I like it 🙂
