How the Foil Quill Works
Choose your Quill Pen adapter, choose the size adapter and Quill Pen, choose the size that best suits the finish you want (standard, fine or thick tip). Position the foil tip where your regular cutting blade usually is in your electronic plotter, connect the USB and configure the design you want to create.
Place the paper you want to use on the cutting mat and the foil on top of it (with a bit of washi tape so it doesn’t move while cutting). And we’re ready to go! You can now create all kind of drawings with a nice metallic finish.

Researched this item for a long time – wish I’d not waited so long before purchasing. I use it with a powerbank and no problems in my Silhouette Cameo 3. Great results with all three ‘nibs’ although not quite so much difference between the standard and broad tips as I expected – that said it’s early days and practice/different substrates may improve this. Happy with purchase.

Product is great! Works beautifully with the cricut explorer 2. I would have given it 5 stars but it seems Amazon shipped me a return package instead of a brand new one! The box was opened (side tape ripped) the washi tape in the box was used and the quills were already opened (you can tell someone just shoved it back in). I think I will call CS to leave personal feedback.

Lieferdatum eingehalten und sofort ausprobiert, hat 1a funktioniert. Es waren alle Adapter dabei und entgegen der Angaben passt fr den Silhouette Cameo 4 der Adapter “D”.

I think the only problem is now cricut has an official kit which is around $45 for all 3 sizes. They don’t use heat, I believe it’s pressure, but for the cost of this vs oem might as well go with that. I bought this 6-10 months before cricut came out with theirs mind you.

D’apres divers rglages pour que le foil soit bien brillant il faut diminuer la pression de l’outil sur la feuille je le met -7 sur un papier bristol

This product is really great and works well with my scan n cut cm900 machine.
I would have given this item 5 stars but I was missing the heat resistant plate.
Very easy to use and great Value for money.
This kit comes with three pens, fine medium and bold. (They run on USB). You also get 3 foil sample rolls in gold, silver and copper. It comes with 4 adapters for use with various electrical cutting machines (marked A, B, C & D). A is for silhouette, B fits Brother, C fits Cricut and D fits Sizzix. A great addition to your crafting needs. Foiling adds another dimension to the art of card making. You can also use the pens freehand, (but I would suggest using a heatproof glove to do this) Very easy to use, just plug, play and enjoy!

Okay I'm just giving 4 stars to this product since the medium point doesn't heat up and I cannot return this product since I'm not in the country, but hear me out: I LOVE THIS. I have been struggling for months with my foil laminator, I have giant rolls of foil that were gifted to me.. I almost gave up since nothing was working and then I found this! I don't even need to use my laser printer and everything draws so beautifully. You can even combine your normal print and cut with foil draw! I use a Cricut Maker and I'm soooo happy, worth every penny!

Great item for your craft room!
Bought it for the brother scan n cut and it is beautiful for heat foiling onto projects. Comes with full instructions and very simple to setup but you do need a USB power source independent from the machine which you need to purchase separately. I used an old camera lead with socket which did the trick. Makes delicate patterns look amazing and great for fine edges. 3 sized nibs and l prefer the small but it is great to have a choice depending on project. Recommend.

Es un excelente producto, deja unos acabados muy elegantes en las invitaciones y agendas que realizo.
After being disappointed with Cricut’s foil embossing kit, I went ahead and ordered this one, and I’m so glad I did! Each tool runs off the USB port on the Cricut Maker and fits into the pen holder with the included adapter (you have to pop the pen adapter that comes with the Cricut out first.) You need to put the included heat shield under the tool while it heats up and when it’s hot but you’re not using it. The rolls of silver, gold, and rose gold foil that it comes with seem fairly generous (as long as you’re just doing occasional details!) The tape is great – wide and gently sticky. I did have it mar one paper that I pulled it off of, but I suspect that was the paper’s fault. The tool will, of course, follow whatever drawing design you set for it. Comparing the included tools, the three widths seem to have an appreciable difference between them (I’ve only played with one so far!) The results are beautiful! Bright, shiny, crisp, and durable! Just what I was looking for!
Foil craft the easy way
Having seen this in use on some YouTube visits m videos and another craft channel, I wanted to try this, I’ve been using the glue and foil in my scanncut and although it worked, it was fiddly and almost always worked. This system looked so much easier and they were right. I’ve done a few cards with the foil and they look great. I’m really pleased with my purchase and will be playing and making more foil cards moving forward. And the choice of foil is cheaper than the glue foil.

Works in my electronic cutting machine. Has different adaptors for use with the machines listed. Doesn’t take too long to heat up ( using an external USB power plug). Cable is long enough to stretch across width of entire 12″+ machine if power supply is nearby. 3 different sized nibs according to the size of work to be foiled.
I use these in conjunction with their magnetic mat.

Ho provato ad usare le punte anche con il foil della spellbinders per la glimmer hot foil e funziona alla perfezione (il classico foil che si usa col toner/colla invece non funziona).
Lascia sulla carta una leggerissima impressione, un po’ come un letterpress.
Nel complesso lo consiglio, facile e veloce da usare con un prezzo decisamente contenuto.

It’s an ok item for a bit of fun but couldn’t use for my invites as intended as the thick one doesn’t seem to show as well but I’ve found uses for the middle rage tip.

I bought this to do some home crafting and birthday gifts/cards, easy to set up and simple to use, just replaces the pen element on my Cricut Explore Air 2, so whatever would’ve been drawn now gets foiled, simple!

Had great results with these quills I use a power bank which I place behind my cameo I used some scraps of heat foil and scrape cards pieces to practice until I got the look I liked but would recommend this pack good value easy to use but practice before using on the real thing.
Much cheaper on Amazon than in stores. Comes with all the adapters you need to use on various machines. Definitely takes to practice and tweeking finding the right setting to use formyour machine and materials. But a bit of googling and you can find other Crafters recommendations. So far so good! I’ve made about 7 different projects with it.

We created this one using the Memory Keepers Foil Quill in my Cricut Maker.
This was our first project using the Foil Quill.
It was easy to learn and easy to use.
We had enough foil included in the kit to complete practice sheets as well as the finished project.
The kit included 3 tips, 3 rolls of different colored foil, instructions.
A good value, and an awesome tool to have for later.
I can’t wait to make more.

So I got this to work with my cricut and it works great. Just know that if you use this and your cricut is new if anything happens and it damages your machine your warranty is voided so be careful and be sure to use it right. Oh and make sure you set your design to draw and not cut, I made that mistake and had to start the whole thing over and ruined and good piece of foil. Projects come out beautiful with no need for a minc.

I bought the ScanNCut’s foiling kit as soon as it was released but I have always had problems with getting the foiling done correctly first time. Then I saw this hot foiling system from We R memory keepers and it’s possibly one of the best things I’ve bought to gobwith my ScanNCut SDX1200 machine. It gives such amazing results, it’s so much faster than the official foiling kit and I’m totally blown away by the level of detail that these foil pens will capture. It’s easy to set up and it’s great being able to run the pens from a USB power bank. There’s a light on the top that tells you when the pen is plugged in so you’ll never take it out without realising that the it’s still connected to the battery, the actual nib is nicely protected from so you can’t burn yourself and it’s quick and easy to use. I am totally thrilled and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to add that personalized effect to their work. It’s opening a lot of doors for me and I’m really excited.

This is one of my funnest new craft items. I have foiled leather, paper, card stock. And, I still have plenty of the starter foils that was provided with the kit, left to play with before I will need to purchase more. I use this in my Cricut and it does not cause any problems with my machine. A guard is provided to protect your cutting machine from any heat but I haven’t found that it gets hot enough to hurt the plastic on the machine anyway. And, the purchase price was better than any of the craft stores, even if using their coupons.

Love the ease of use. Tested all 3 size pens and they worked amazingly accurately. The effect they create is beautiful. Easy to convert files for them to work. Easy to insert the right connector and only takes a few mins to warm up. LED shows its plugged in. Works great from a power bank.

Bought the wife it for her hobby , took a bit of time to get it sorted as using the computer USB it didn’t seem to get hot enough , however after using a socket USB transformer and leaving it half hour to warm up it worked a treat and she’s now filling all the cards .
Bought this to use with my Silhouette Cameo. Followed Silhouette School Blog cut settings and had no problems. Very little information in the actual packaging itself so would advise watching YouTube tutorials before you use to avoid wasting your foil. Very happy with the results.

It's a great tool for line art or etching words on a notebook cover, or other simple text. I would not use this to color in a large area as a fill. Doing so requires the machine to go back and forth and you need to do that in the software. For that sort of stuff, yeah I agree with the other commenter, use a laminator and laser printer.

This was a gift for my very crafty daughter. The first time she used it she chose an intricate design and it turned out beautiful! She’s made several more gorgeous designs since. She said there’s a learning curve but it was quite easy to use and the finished product is perfect!

Was pleased to see it much cheaper with Amazon. pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use, I have the baby Cricket which works a teat with all my cartridges, also have a Scan & Cut which works just as well, so all in all very pleased with the foil starter pack.

Einfach in der Handhabung und die Ergebnisse sind auch zufriedenstellend. Zum Test wenn es.um Linien geht. Leichte Abstriche bei Flchen, da man da die Linienfhrung sieht. Ist aber dennoch ok.
Schneller und weniger aufwndig, als Laserdrucker und Laminierer.
Unntig finde ich, dass in jeder Packung Halterungen fr die verschiedenen Gerte gibt. So hat man unntige Plastikteile, die wahrscheinlich eh nur entsorgt werden. Den Plastikmll knnte man sparen.
I am an avid user of foil crafts. This WILL void the warranty of your Cricut or Silhouette. So I decided to use on my very old machines. It works well with the foil that comes in the package (WRMK brand). But it will NOT work with any other foil. Additionally, it takes forever to finish a simple small design. It is a pain to tape the paper into the mat and then add the foil.
I am so sad I purchased this as I know it will be in a box forever. The regular laser printer/foil/ laminator versions are so much better than this.
