How the Foil Quill Works
Choose your Quill Pen adapter, choose the size adapter and Quill Pen, choose the size that best suits the finish you want (standard, fine or thick tip). Position the foil tip where your regular cutting blade usually is in your electronic plotter, connect the USB and configure the design you want to create.
Place the paper you want to use on the cutting mat and the foil on top of it (with a bit of washi tape so it doesn’t move while cutting). And we’re ready to go! You can now create all kind of drawings with a nice metallic finish.

Product is great! Works beautifully with the cricut explorer 2. I would have given it 5 stars but it seems Amazon shipped me a return package instead of a brand new one! The box was opened (side tape ripped) the washi tape in the box was used and the quills were already opened (you can tell someone just shoved it back in). I think I will call CS to leave personal feedback.
Lieferdatum eingehalten und sofort ausprobiert, hat 1a funktioniert. Es waren alle Adapter dabei und entgegen der Angaben passt fr den Silhouette Cameo 4 der Adapter “D”.

I think the only problem is now cricut has an official kit which is around $45 for all 3 sizes. They don’t use heat, I believe it’s pressure, but for the cost of this vs oem might as well go with that. I bought this 6-10 months before cricut came out with theirs mind you.

Parfais s’adapte parfaitement la scan n cut cm 300 plusieurs adaptateurs fournis, 3 pointes diffrentes largeur , j’utilise la plus grosse pour faire de gros texte remplis, impeccable bord net top , petit bmol les foils deviennent plutt mat et perdent leur ct miroir, sinon parfait test avec des foils de chez action
D’apres divers rglages pour que le foil soit bien brillant il faut diminuer la pression de l’outil sur la feuille je le met -7 sur un papier bristol
Compatible para Silhouette Portrait 3, solo que hay que utilizar el adaptador C o D (mejor este ltimo) para que funcione ya que con el adaptador A, que sera para utilizar con mquinas Silhouette, no llega al trabajo.
This kit comes with three pens, fine medium and bold. (They run on USB). You also get 3 foil sample rolls in gold, silver and copper. It comes with 4 adapters for use with various electrical cutting machines (marked A, B, C & D). A is for silhouette, B fits Brother, C fits Cricut and D fits Sizzix. A great addition to your crafting needs. Foiling adds another dimension to the art of card making. You can also use the pens freehand, (but I would suggest using a heatproof glove to do this) Very easy to use, just plug, play and enjoy!
I use a Scanncut and bought the Memory Keepers after looking at the true Brother Foiling system. Initial price was higher but no glue is required. I can’t give it enough stars. I used a lightweight cardstock and forgot to lower the drawing pressure and paper really stuck to the mat. Lowered the drawing pressure to “0” and used 80lb textured card stock and the result was perfect. Starting to get my Christmas cards ready already!

Okay I’m just giving 4 stars to this product since the medium point doesn’t heat up and I cannot return this product since I’m not in the country, but hear me out: I LOVE THIS. I have been struggling for months with my foil laminator, I have giant rolls of foil that were gifted to me.. I almost gave up since nothing was working and then I found this! I don’t even need to use my laser printer and everything draws so beautifully. You can even combine your normal print and cut with foil draw! I use a Cricut Maker and I’m soooo happy, worth every penny!

Very impressed with the results when I used this foiling quill
Bought it for the brother scan n cut and it is beautiful for heat foiling onto projects. Comes with full instructions and very simple to setup but you do need a USB power source independent from the machine which you need to purchase separately. I used an old camera lead with socket which did the trick. Makes delicate patterns look amazing and great for fine edges. 3 sized nibs and l prefer the small but it is great to have a choice depending on project. Recommend.
I have a shiloutte cameo 4 the D cartridge fits great no need for extra adapter.

Item was missing the foils. Everything else was fine. Will still need to try it out to make sure it works like it should since I had to purchase the foil separately.
I bought this to do some home crafting and birthday gifts/cards, easy to set up and simple to use, just replaces the pen element on my Cricut Explore Air 2, so whatever would’ve been drawn now gets foiled, simple!

This was our first project using the Foil Quill.
It was easy to learn and easy to use.
We had enough foil included in the kit to complete practice sheets as well as the finished project.
The kit included 3 tips, 3 rolls of different colored foil, instructions.
A good value, and an awesome tool to have for later.

Love the ease of use. Tested all 3 size pens and they worked amazingly accurately. The effect they create is beautiful. Easy to convert files for them to work. Easy to insert the right connector and only takes a few mins to warm up. LED shows its plugged in. Works great from a power bank.

Tolles Produkt! Funktioniert mit meiner Cameo 3 perfekt, habe mir dann noch die Metallplatte dazu geholt.
Love this product. The large and medium are not useful at all. I’ve tried several times but the fine tip,is the way to go. It takes settings adjustment for cameo and curio but once the adjustments are made the results are amazing!

It’s a great tool for line art or etching words on a notebook cover, or other simple text. I would not use this to color in a large area as a fill. Doing so requires the machine to go back and forth and you need to do that in the software. For that sort of stuff, yeah I agree with the other commenter, use a laminator and laser printer.

Einfach in der Handhabung und die Ergebnisse sind auch zufriedenstellend. Zum Test wenn es.um Linien geht. Leichte Abstriche bei Flchen, da man da die Linienfhrung sieht. Ist aber dennoch ok.
Schneller und weniger aufwndig, als Laserdrucker und Laminierer.
Unntig finde ich, dass in jeder Packung Halterungen fr die verschiedenen Gerte gibt. So hat man unntige Plastikteile, die wahrscheinlich eh nur entsorgt werden. Den Plastikmll knnte man sparen.
I am so sad I purchased this as I know it will be in a box forever. The regular laser printer/foil/ laminator versions are so much better than this.
