Dartboard set-up instruction and game rules on the package. Overall a sturdy good quality dartboard and a fun maker game. Value for the money. Can be left outside, no damage.
Definitely,this dartboard is an ubgrade from my previous one because the self-healing surface is as described,and you cannot tell that the board was used a lot!Also the staple free wires have reduced a lot the bounce-outs and i really feel like a professional player! The Whimlets Professional Dart Board Set is a heavy-duty dartboard. It fools and feels like professional equipment, very heavy and sturdy, which should last for a long time. Installing is easy with the included mounting tools. The included e-guide is well written and easy for users to follow.
I really like the look and performance of these boards. The darts stick to it really well thanks to the densely pack sisal material that they’ve used. Unlike cheaper boards, there are no stapled wires which eliminated bounce outs. The number ring can also be rotated, meaning I can rotate the board to help spread the dart holes more evenly, which will prolong the life of the board. On the downside, I’m not sure why they called it a set, seeing as it doesn’t come with any darts. But overall, this is a fun, professional-grade dartboard to play with at a reasonable price. Full marks from me!
This is a top quality dart board set that is constructed out of durable, high quality materials. The board is staple free and made out of African sisal fiber that heals perfectly. The painting is accurate and looks good. It’s a full tournament size board that is ideal for leisure play or serious practice. This is a very good quality set that can take punishment and will last a long time. It’s a top quality dart board set that is exactly as described.
I am really happy with the quality of this dart board. It is very well made and the spider is attached very well and is straight. There is a really good weight to this board and I like how it has black pieces on the back that act as a shock absorber between the board and the wall if it gets knocked. The darts stick into the board really well and there is a minimal mark, if any, once the darts are removed. This board doesn’t come with any darts, but it does include mounting hardware. For its price point, I think this board it totally worth it. I will invest in a cabinet for storing the darts and for keeping score.
I haven’t played darts since I was a kid, so I’m definitely not an expert, but I was really excited about getting back into it. This dart board doesn’t have pilot holes, but it is well guided in how you set it up. It provides measurements for the distance of the dart board, as well as a brief overview of a few game styles.
One thing I wish I’d realised is how much damage missed darts do to the wall. I’ve since made myself a DIY version of a dart backboard and I recommend you do this or buy one if you plan to play. Not only is piercing the wall bad for the darts, but it will require repairs later!
This doesn’t come with darts or a backboard, simply the board. The rotatable rings means you’ll get less wear on the board over time, but it does come with a downside and that’s that some of the numbers or upside down, which can be a bit confusing. Maybe this is normal? I don’t have enough experience to know, but I suspect it’s to allow it to rotate.
The board itself feels incredibly sturdy. Self-healing means it will last longer, it’s thick and weighty and shows no sign from dart punctures even after a reasonable amount of use. Since I have weak walls I used those fancy expanding anchors to hang it and I feel comfortable that it won’t fall.
It’s probably a bit heavy-duty for a beginner, but I don’t have anything really negative to say about it and it’s been working very well for me.
This is a heavy dart board and from the back I thought it was made of MDF type material. That being said when I threw darts at it, they sank in very nicely. I had zero bounce outs after throwing darts numerous times and I have not played darts in years :-). It is nicely made and it is easy to rotate the rim with the number on it. Installation was easy but it would have made the alignment of the bracket with the top of the board easier if the holes were to have been pre-drilled at the factory. All my rings and wires were correctly installed on the board (see pictures).
I’ve been really happy with this dart board from Whimlet. It’s incredibly high quality, with a really good weight/heft to it – it’s exactly what you’d expect to see in a pub. The weight and heft mean this doesn’t shift around during play, and can definitely take a beating. Doesn’t include a case or back board for scoring, but at this price, that’s not necessarily something I’d expect. The included darts aren’t amazing, but are a great starting point. While not cheap, this feels like good value for money considering the high quality. Really great gift to get anyone looking for a nice dart set at home. 100% would recommend!
This board seems like a good value, all things considered, compared to boards of similar construction you might find at a gaming specialty store. It’s thick, heavy, and all around pretty beefy. The spider is not bad, not too thick and for the MOST part is sufficiently embedded but some parts of it are at inconsistent depths in the beds… the ring around the bullseye in particular one mine was really wonky and was inserted around the bed at a very off angle – I was able to correct this myself with a hammer. The beds themselves on mine are just okay, a number of them have pretty noticeable cracks across them but it’s just a cosmetic problem. The paint job on the board is also fine, though you can tell it gets sloppy on the edges towards the back where most won’t notice it anyway but it’s another tell that the board was assembled as fast as possible without too much concern for fine detail.
Hanging hardware is included, but if you’re going to be a stickler about having it hung perfectly you’re going to have to figure that out yourself because none of the hardware is already preattached to the board and there aren’t pilot holes drilled in the correct places to help you put things in the correct positions.
Overall, I think what you get here is about as good if not better than what you get for similar money at retail. Some quality issues on mine (cosmetic, or correctable) knocked a star off for me.
