I’ve been playing darts for a couple of days and the dartboard looks as new. The self-healing surface is as advertised. Mounting was easy after watching the video. No more bounce-outs also! I am becoming an expert using this board! I just love it!

Definitely,this dartboard is an ubgrade from my previous one because the self-healing surface is as described,and you cannot tell that the board was used a lot!Also the staple free wires have reduced a lot the bounce-outs and i really feel like a professional player! I would definitely buy it again for a gift!

We have this set up in our garage and use it every now and then. The board has held up pretty well and there has been no deterioration. The self-healing surface is great and there has been no significant noticeable deterioration. That's great. Easy to install. The darts are strong and the whole set should last a few years at least.

Better than the one at our pub!
Really good value here! This Whimlets Professional Dart Board Set – Bristle/Sisal Tournament Dartboard is terrific. As we can’t play at the pub anymore, we’re so pleased to have it.
It’s quite slim and rotate the number ring. Made of African sisal fiber, it is ‘self healing’…the holes kinda close up again. Lack of staples means you don’t get any bounce back.
Mounting tools are included also.
It is just under 18″ so you can use for tournaments.
Lots of fun and a little physical activity also.
Heavyweight Board
This dart board is super heavy weight, and definitely what I picture a Dart board to be.
It includes the board and mounting screws and backing – which I did use drywall screws with (not included) to keep it sturdy for the long run. .
There is a wire around as the border with the numbers, an the self healing board itself, which is rather thick, so handles the darts very well.
Overall, I’m quite happy with this purchase, and can’t wait to have friends over to play darts with me!

On the downside, I’m not sure why they called it a set, seeing as it doesn’t come with any darts. But overall, this is a fun, professional-grade dartboard to play with at a reasonable price. I haven’t played darts since I was a kid, so I’m definitely not an expert, but I was really excited about getting back into it. This dart board doesn’t have pilot holes, but it is well guided in how you set it up. It provides measurements for the distance of the dart board, as well as a brief overview of a few game styles.
One thing I wish I’d realised is how much damage missed darts do to the wall. I’ve since made myself a DIY version of a dart backboard and I recommend you do this or buy one if you plan to play. Not only is piercing the wall bad for the darts, but it will require repairs later!

The rotatable rings means you’ll get less wear on the board over time, but it does come with a downside and that’s that some of the numbers or upside down, which can be a bit confusing. I don’t know if I would call this board professional, I’d say it’s more of the classic pub style dart board.
You’ll need steel tip darts for this board. The ones that are included are ok-ish, definitely not great, but at this pricepoint you can’t really expect something of super high quality.
Hanging the board was reasonably simple, and the hanging hardware came with the board.

Sturdy and darts stick
I’m impressed with this professional dart board set by Whimlets… it was easy to hang up and it works perfectly with no issues.
While unboxing I quickly noticed it’s quite heavy and it looks and feels professional which is great. I’m using this dart board in my garage for some quick fun and I’m very happy with how well it works. My darts stick easily with no problems and it’s just the same as other professional dart boards I’ve used.
Overall I couldn’t be any more happier with this dart board set. I’m hoping it’ll hold up after many shots.

We are avid soft tip players but are looking to start steel tip, bought this board as a Christmas gift for my fiancé. He loves it. It's going to go up in our bar. was quickly shipped. it's heavy, and we can't wait to use it.

This dart board has all the official measurement. Truly an impressive built. Inside the box it explains to you how to install with the proper length. Comes with all the necessary tools. I install this board in my basement. Very heavy, you will most likely need a helper to hold it while you position it. When throwing darts on it there is zero small pices that falls off. A great new addition to my man-cave.

Good quality board
This is a really nice dartboard that was a big upgrade to the one we have at home. Our darts hold well to it and we notice a big difference over our previous board (though I’m not sure if this has more to do with the fact that our old one is well-loved). We didn’t have any bounce-outs in the last little bit which is an improvement for us (though our old board was quite cheap).
Overall, I like this board. It is really nice and feels much more like the ones you see outside than the cheap ones you normally buy online.

This board seems like a good value, all things considered, compared to boards of similar construction you might find at a gaming specialty store. It’s thick, heavy, and all around pretty beefy. The spider is not bad, not too thick and for the MOST part is sufficiently embedded but some parts of it are at inconsistent depths in the beds… the ring around the bullseye in particular one mine was really wonky and was inserted around the bed at a very off angle – I was able to correct this myself with a hammer. The beds themselves on mine are just okay, a number of them have pretty noticeable cracks across them but it’s just a cosmetic problem. The paint job on the board is also fine, though you can tell it gets sloppy on the edges towards the back where most won’t notice it anyway but it’s another tell that the board was assembled as fast as possible without too much concern for fine detail.
Hanging hardware is included, but if you’re going to be a stickler about having it hung perfectly you’re going to have to figure that out yourself because none of the hardware is already preattached to the board and there aren’t pilot holes drilled in the correct places to help you put things in the correct positions.
Overall, I think what you get here is about as good if not better than what you get for similar money at retail. Some quality issues on mine (cosmetic, or correctable) knocked a star off for me.
