We have a base opening window , and these have done the job . The opening allows a decent amount of air ti get through and stops our window blowing open when windy

Arrived really quickly and very easy to put on the windows. If someone wanted to break in then they could be cut with bolt clippers. Gives some security and would make a decent child lock

So cheap and perfect for our veluxs
Good cheap little product. I have young children in attic rooms and with 2 large velux windows on a pitched roof 2 stories up I suddenly panicked. The velux locks require professional fitting and cost a fortune. These were exactly what I need and so far seem fine.

Opens wide enough for our cat to still be able to come in but not wide enough for my devil children to try and climb out the windows.

Be careful on fitting
These are brilliant. easy to install although as a novice DIY’er be very careful when drilling the pilot holes as on one of my windows I was a little to close to the glass on the inside and did end up cracking the window but that was only 1 in the 6 I fitted so all in all very good

These restrictors were easy to fit, unobtrusive and they work. If the window would still open too far for your purpose put the two sides on slightly off set and this will reduce the opening.

These were exactly what I wanted. Our windows upstairs are full length top opening windows and our kids have worked out how to open them… so we needed a way to stop them from doing so and more so from them potentially falling out of the window. These restrictiors are easy to put on, you just need to use a good electric screwdriver. I have UPVC windows so these screws were easy to screw into. I would imagine you’d have to drill a small pilot whole in a metal frame. Once screwed into place they appear to hold the window really well and it doesn’t feel like my kids could fall out of them now. If I had any cons about this product would be a way to easily adjust them to be slightly smaller. I’m guessing there is a way but my pack didn’t come with any instructions and I’d rather have them on and in place than me trying to work out how to shorten the cord and mess it up. I’d recommend these to anyone with kids who are a little too adventurous for my liking 😉

Excellent product. Easy to place on the windows with the self hole making screws. Feel safe now the kids can have the windows open without them able to open on wide living in a three storey house.
