Decent hobby grade multi tool with a good selection of bits and a nice storage case. Isn’t particularly powerful but ideal for tinkering with bits for an RC car for example. I did have to send my first tool back for replacement though due to the battery not holding charge. Was replaced no problem although did take a while to do it through Worx.

Handy little tool in carry case. Useful for crafting/diy without having to be near plug socket. Good build quality and uses standard sized bits. Would have given 5* if tool could be used while plugged in recharging as it could then be used remotely while plugged into powerbank.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say this is better than my Dremel, it feels quality, I do have quite a few Worx cordless power tools which are fantastic and this is why I went for this instead of another Dremel, very happy with it.

The “8V Cordless Rotary Tool” (Model# WX106) from “Worx” is a moderately priced cordless rotary tool that’s ideal for DIY and hobby work.

The rotary tool comes with all the accessories and bits you’re likely to require for most projects. It also comes in a handy storage and carry case that keeps the rotary tool protected and all its accessories neat and tidy and together.

First off, the rotary tool is incredibly easy to use and get to grips with. Also, all of the bits and accessories are pretty self-explanatory, and you’ll no doubt know exactly what they’re for and how to use them just by looking and handling them.

When in use, the rotary tool performs very well. The three different Miller Cutters are excellent and the cutting blades are so handy for day-to-day DIY tasks such as plumbing work around the house or the like.

I can imagine for arts and crafts this is also a real game changer. Personally, I have it for DIY jobs. But the small grinding head, the sand rings and even the cutting blades are likely to expand the users abilities with their arts and crafts.

The overall quality and build of the rotary cutter and its accessories is also absolutely excellent. It feels strong and sturdy in your grasp, and the hard-plastic shell feels tough and able to withstand plenty of knocks and drops etc. I can see the tool lasting me many years of reasonably regular use.

    Really impressed with it.

Was worried being cordless that it wouldn’t be fast enough but there is no such problem.
Good selection of bits and all contained in a neat box.

My husband is absolutely thrilled with this set. First of all he likes that the tool and accessories all fit in the storage box provided. He loves the fact that there is a light on the end so he can see where he’s drilling etc. He also said that it’s excellent quality and that it’s better than the more known tool like this that he has. He was very impressed and went around the house doing all the little jobs that needed doing. So he gained a new tool and I finally had the jobs done around the house. We are both very happy with this set!

I love this little rotary tool which is USB rechargeable which makes it very easy to use as there is no troublesome cord. I am currently trying to hone my skills at glass engraving, but this little tool will do so much more. I have read that it will take generic bits for the head which is a good cost saving asset in my view. I am next thinking I will buy some coloured mugs and engrave peoples names on them so that the white underneath shows through the coloured glaze. It is so comfortable to use and is variable speed. Build quality is excellent and the kit comes with a multitude of attachments for different uses.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis rotary tool is powered by a 7.2 volt, 900 micro Amp hour, Lithium Ion battery (included), which is powerful enough to work the various mini-tools you can connect to it, both smoothly and efficiently. The rotary speed can be varied from a slowish 5000 rpm minimum, to a very fast 28,000 rpm maximum, in 5 jumps, easily achieved by pressing the + or — button incorporated in the handle section of the main body. The battery is recharged by connecting the USB cable, provided, to a computer, laptop, or any 5 volt DC USB socket. I found it recharged quite quickly from a depleted state, and there was a helpful battery indicator light, which progressively displays the battery charging status. Caution, it is wise not to overcharge this type of battery or it can be damaged.

There are 10 main mini-tool provided which fit into a 3.2 mm mini-chuck in the tool, which tightens by hand when simultaneously pressing a small locking button a bit fiddly, but works quite well. The mini tools vary from a diamond grinding head, to drilling, to sanding, to felt smoothing and buffing, to wire brush etc. They will not last forever and you would need to replenish them periodically. The bits are 3.2 mm standard sizes and a fairly readily available from tool shops and Amazon online. The rest of the accessories are tiny sanding and buffing belts which are designed to fit onto one of the main tools.

The main body of the rotary tool is made of plastic with two ergonomic rubber inserts for a comfortable grip in the hand. The tool feels solidly built and weighty in the hand at under kilo total weight. There is a useful built-in LED light which comes on automatically when you start the tool and shuts off automatically a few minutes after pressing the stop button. A useful small plastic carrying case is provided which holds all the mini tools as well as the rotary tool itself. The manufacturer gives the rotary tool a 3 year warrantee which indicates they think it will last for quite a long working life.

What is this type of rotary tool useful for, you may wonder? Obviously, it is not designed for heavy DIY workloads. Instead it comes into its own for art work, sculpture, carving, engraving, jewellery, pottery, and generally the grinding, cleaning and polishing of delicate surfaces, where a normal small sized grinder would be too large and clumsy to use. The convenient size of this rotary tool makes delicate precision applications possible. A useful tool to have in one’s workshop.

This cordless rotary tool comes with lots off accessories plus a USB charging cable which makes it extremely versatile and able to fulfil lots o different tasks. The first job my husband used it for was sharpening our knives for which I was very grateful . It can also be used for carving, engraving and drilling. The fact that it is cordless makes it very easy to handle. All accessories are packed with tool in a useful case, Really useful to have
