    Wireless mowing.
This WORX Cordless Lawn Mower with 2 x 20 V Batteries is a great tool which does everything as the advert says it will do. , My wife and I wish we had bought one years ago.

This lawnmower is so so easy to use and not having to deal with all the wires is so nice. We have a moderate sized garden and the lawn mower will go around 1.5 times so we usually have to charge it after each use so this is the only reason I have dropped one star as it would have been great if we could have gone around twice.

    Excellent produc
This was a gift for my Dad on father’s days, he loves it , no cable, very easy to use & very easy to clean , battery charge quickly & he gets more than one cut from the battery & my Dad has a big lawn. Would highly recommend this product.

Have struggled for so long with a petrol mower.....using this was a pleasure!
So easy to use, very light and easy to move. Easy to insert battery and empty grass box. Didn’t find I was able to fold handle down very easily so ended up not bothering. My garden was badly flooded during the week and looked awful once water had drained and left rubbish behind so I was impressed that it looked as good as it did with one cut.

    Good mower.
I have a medium sized rear garden which takes about 30 mins for first cut of the season. This mower just about lasts that long with the supplied batteries. Great not having to use power cable.Mower is quite light and provides a decent cut. Larger grassed gardens would need extra batteries.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSuperb Battery Mowe
The mower was easy to assemble and very lightweight it have very good height adjustments and a great clean cut of the lawn no threading of the grass blades. I fully charged the batteries before I used it for the first time and managed to cut both rear lawn and front lawn in about 15 minutes with no lack of power and found that it still had enough power to do a second cut two weeks later fantastic.
Also it collects the grass efficiently with no spraying of grass away from the mower so no brushing the grass of the paths with it being light to handle I felt less exhausted. I would highly recommend this mower and hope it carries on with no faults to the workings of the mechanics .

Quite impressive considering it’s a cordless mower .
The cut shown is on the second from highest setting
The grass was damp at the time
Our lawn is large so bought extra batteries here on Amazon (not original) .
I would say if you have a small to medium size garden it will do the job well . Larger lawns and you will definitely need another set of batteries.
Will be trying the lowest setting for the next cut.
Just cut the grass on third from lowest last picture, (didn’t like lowest setting). I do have to say again our lawn is big and uneven stopped the blades a few times on second to lowest.
Still happy with the cut just having to change batteries half way through is the only downside.
A smaller lawn would probably be be just right for this mower in one charge(set of batteries).

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA perfectly good cu
I bought this lawn mower to supplement my Worx Landroid robot mower so that when I’m away from home my wife can cut the verges and lawn edges. She isn’t able to start or move our big old petrol mower. The robot mower has been excellent so I thought I’d go with a battery product from the same company. Just out of interest, I thought I’d go over the entire lawn including the verges at the front of our house to see whether the battery life would match the lawn size. It did with plenty of power to spare (according to the indicator). In terms of cut, well you can see for yourself from the photograph. An added observation: when I had a problem re-pairing my robot mower with the WiFi, I messaged the company; they responded with the solution within 24 hours. I’ve had the robot mower for approx 8 months. I’ve just bought the battery mower being reviewed. Overall, very pleased (but early days for the new mower).

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGood at higher levels - clogs up very fas
I bought this because I already have 3 other worx batterys (2 of which are 4ah) and I have been very happy in the past with other worx purchases (including the nitro chainsaw, slammer drill, handheld garden strimmer). This mower works very well at the highest 3 settings and is easy enough to push on those settings.

When you get to the lower 3settings, it becomes such a pain and almost impossible to use. At lower levels, the machine is very hard to push, even on flat terrain and the engine cuts out frequently, after doing a pass over 20-30sqm. This appears to be caused by the fact that the mower is not very good at collecting the grass cuttings and consequently they get clogged up around the blade. When it cuts out, you have to open the collection bag/box and you will find that the grass is clogged up towards the front of the bad. However, when you tilt the box backwards you realised that the bag was not even half full. The natural tilt of the bag appears to be forward meaning the cuttings slide forward. There is not enough power to force the cuttings to the back of the collection bag. I can only assume that the problem occurs at lower cutting settings because the grass is denser there and each pass creates denser clumps that need to be flung backwards into the bag.

The upshot is, if you are happy enough to just use the higher settings then this will do a grand job.

My new mower arrived today and I was keen to give it a go. The grass hadn’t been cut yet this year and it was long (25cm+) and damp as it’s been raining for weeks it seems. The mower was easy to assemble – no tools required. The batteries were not empty but I decided to give them a full charge before use – this took around 1 and a half hours. I put the mower on the highest cut and got started. It’s the first cut of the season, so you don’t expect it to look great, but this mower made a pretty decent job of it. The cut is even and looks neat. The cutting box was easy to fit, empty and re-fit. The battery had over half the charge left in it and my lawn must be around 40-50m sq. Better still it’s a smaller overall package but with a bigger blade than my old mower, so it takes up less space in the shed. Overall, for the price I’m extremely happy and even happier when I don’t have to manage a cable stretching across the garden too.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersLight weight for the wife !
My wife and I had a petrol mower for a medium size garden and it was getting more and more difficult to start ! After reading and researching I decided to bite the bullet and buy a worx mower, strimmer and a small shrub shear.. While we have only had the mower a couple of weeks we have now used it three times and it has not been a mistake.. It has taken alot of effort out of cutting the lawn.. Plus points.. We are just able to cut both the front and back gardens.. The mower is a little over 10kg so makes it easy to manoeuvre as we have a lot of borders.. Negative and its not really a issue for us is you do need batteries.. We where lucky in the strimmer came with 2 batteries so we have 4 in total so if the mower does not manage with one set we do have another set to swop over… So as long as we have them all fully charged its a doddle for us !

Purchased this in jan 21 as an Amazon good as new- left until now to ensure I could give a trustworthy review. It arrived in original packages and don’t think it had ever been used. It was fairly straightforward to assemble. We have a fairly large garden but it is mainly made up of small patches of grass and grass paths this lawnmower has been perfect – it’s light and manouvreable – initially I was a bit disappointed on the length of cut but now I’m used to it I actually think it’s better not so harsh on the grass. I cut the lawn this morning (November) it was soaking but it cut it without problem- usually takes me about 1/2 an hour and the batteries are fine for this with the first cut of the year I do have to charge half way through which is the only downside as they do take a while to charge. They are stored inside and I usually charge them when I’ve finished mowing ready for next time. Highly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPerforms reasonably well.
Good enough cut but the battery life is terrible and when I press the button to check remaining battery it shows 4 lights but the batteries are dead. Comes with 2AH batteries but you would need at least 4Ah to cut a reasonably sized garden. Haven’t used it on wet grass yet but I’m not optimistic.
Word of warning for all Amazon Customers in Ireland. Even though Amazon has a supply centre in Dublin it is impossible to get replacement batteries for this product from Amazon in Ireland, in fact it is impossible to get replacement Li-ion batterios for any product from Amazon in Ireland even though they will quite happily sell you the product, batteries included, to begin with. Zero stars to Amazon on this one and minus stars to Amazon Customer Service who couldn’t even be bothered to come up with a reason.

    An ideal machine
For a lawnmower without the fuss of a trailing cable this does the job well. It adjusts to the extra power required for long grass of a first cut, when the extra spare batteries were needed, but now I can do both our lawns on just two batteries. If you are after a perfect looking lawn this is probably not the cutter for you, nor any other rotary cutter, but it does cut the grass short (when required), is easy to empty and does leave a striped appearance, to the envy of my neighbours!

Nice and easy to set up and use, fairly easy to store due it its light weight size, battery last a good amount of time too, if im goimg to be picky the only issue I have is is the lowest cut setting is to low for my grass due toy lawn being uneven and hits the soil, but the second cut is short enough for me.

    I LOVE it!
Bought after reading general impartial battery operated mower reviews online. I love mowing my lawn now. I only have a smallish lawn admittedly (approx 12 SM?) and I get 40mins continuous mowing. Its light to use and reasonably quiet. There’s no obvious warning when it’s about to run out of steam, it just fades away but I’ve quickly learned to recognise its death throes. The batteries are easy to remove and replace. Recharging takes about 2 hours from empty. The grass box is capacious. My only wish would be to have an even closer cut height but overall, this is my dream machine… I love it so much I’ve named it Mo’……… Nimble, quick and light.

Can't fault cutting performance but batteries are awful.
Cutting performance is excellent but the batteries and charge indicators are awful. One the batteries show half a charge left make sure you charge them, once they get to low they’ll stop within a minute. The battery charge indicator on the top is also useless, when checking the batteries themselves if they’re low the top indicator will still show as full.

Light in weight and easy to manage.
I needed a lightweight mower to manoeuver easily and found this one recommended by Gardener’s World top ten mowers. Because it is light it doesn’t sit down heavily on the grass like my old petrol driven one and therefore is easier to push. It is efficient in cutting the grass. It has a rear roller so that you can achieve ‘stripes’. The two batteries are an advantage. I have three separate lawns some distance apart, but the batteries last perfectly well to be able to cut them on one charge, with charge to spare. The batteries are easy to charge and easy to fit to the mower. The blade height lever needs to be got used to. The grass box is just a bit fiddly to attach, but again with usage will become easier.

    Revolutionary! Great mowe
This lovely little cordless mower is as revolutionary to my garden as my cordless Dyson was to my house. No more cables to navigate. It cuts well (but wish it would cut shorter), leaves lovely stripes thanks to the roller, and is quiet with a pleasing on/off sound. It is easy to move around and deals with wet and long grass well. The battery life is good, lasting long enough on eco mode to do a 10m x 10m lawn twice over. Not quite once over on turbo but I can’t see any difference in the cut so may as well use eco. It all feels solid and easy to use. The battery charging unit and the way the batteries slot in is excellent, even for a non-technical/manual person like myself.

However, I’ve just ordered my 4th one as had an issue with first. 2nd one came with cosmetic damage, and 3rd one with one wheel hanging off. Hoping 4th one will be just right but the wait is long. Beginning to wonder if I’m being sent ‘seconds’. When you’re paying around 200 for an item, it needs to be right. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the poor Hermes guy who keeps delivering and taking away again.

The first time I found it difficult to assemble, as my brain does not work in a way that easily follows diagrams and instructions so I had to resort to a YouTube video (of which there are plenty) which helped. By the time I reached my 3rd one, I was a pro! And it really is so simple you don’t need instructions. In fact, I think following the instructions made it harder.

Also a note on the mulching facility. This model DOES do mulching if you have the model with the single long orange bar on the handle. However, the mulching plug does not come in the box and I had to ring up WORX and get one sent (free). See photo above for what the mulching part looks like. Mulching baffle Part No: 50034551. It came pretty quickly and is just a large plastic object which blocks the hole which would normally transfer the grass into the collector box. It’s easy to slot in via the back of the machine. It works brilliantly and forces the cut grass back onto the lawn and it is cut so small that it is invisible and apparently feeds the lawn good nutrients and my lawn has never been greener! Plus it saves loads of time emptying into garden waste bin and also helps the environment. It’s a win win.

All in all I love this mower.

    Happy mowing!

Battery power lights are a bit difficult to see in the day time.
It does not cut as low as my old mower ( even on the lowest setting) but suspect I had cut the lawn too low in the past , so maybe that’s a good thing.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersIt does the job, but don't expect great build quality
TL;dr – a decent new gen battery mower for the price. If you’ve got reasonably sized, light duty lawns then this should do the trick in a more eco friendly, cleaner, modern way. Also swap the batteries with other Worx product. Make sure you register (easy online) for 3 year warranty.

Edit: second cut, much tougher with longer grass and slightly damp. Batteries lasted 4 bars nearly across same 4 lawns. Biggest headache was the fact that the power wasn’t enough to compact the cuttings in the grass bin so constantly taking it off and packing it. Still happy with mower… Just.

Bit of context. After 20 years of loving the smell of 2 stroke in the morning, I decided to give the new gen of battery powered tools a go. I had a small garden maintenance business for some years, so petrol powered tools were the only realistic option for years. But now I’ve just got around 4 smallish lawns to cover, and they’re mostly moss and clover, so the 6HP B&S self-driven 22″ aluminium deck LawnKing I’ve relied on for over a decade was probably a bit heavy duty. Plus, to be honest, I like the idea of at least trying to go a bit more eco friendly.

Doing the research, it was clear the likes of Stihl, whilst obviously having a very good name, were beyond the budget for the requirements. On the other hand, something like a Ryobi seemed a bit too low priced to be good (don’t know, never had one). Worx stood out as a lower-mid price , and I’ve used a Worx battery drill for a few years with no issues at all, and as all their batteries are interchangeable, I decided to give it a go.

This model (WG743E.1) comes with a 39cm deck, 45lt bin and, more importantly by far, 2 x 4a 20v batteries. I’ll come to that in a bit.

Getting it out of the box, it was immediately clear that we are not talking heavy clunking ironwork here. Every major component apart from blade, handles, axles and bolts is plastic – deck, wheels and all. Obviously this is not exactly a surprise. Plastic = not just cheaper but lightweight, which probably wouldn’t particularly save battery life in a self propelled mower, but does make it incredibly easy to swing about and carry over low walls for instance. And whilst the deck is plastic, it’s not flimsy in any way, so I’m expecting a few years out of it (probably wouldn’t want to hit too many stones though)

However, I can see an issue quickly developing with the wing nuts / bolts that hold the handle. Overtightening them will quickly cause a stripped thread, and it’s worth adding a couple of washers to the assembly if you’ve got some kicking around. Probably worth a bit of caution with the drive bar too as it looks and feels a bit flimsy.

Assembly is quick and easy. Just put the grass bin together, secure the handles to the mower frame, charge the batteries fully and you’re good to go.

As you can see from the photos, my lawns are not exactly Wimbledon standard. Bit up and down, mostly weeds, tight spots. The mower coped easily. In fact, probably better than I did, as I missed the throb of the B&S engine and the rattle of the LawnKing so much that I often didn’t realise it was actually running. If you normally use a cord powered mower you might not notice any difference other than not having to constantly lasso the lead out of the way, a big bonus.

Other than getting used to a self propelled mower after all these years, and probably twice as many bin empties, I would go so far as to say it was an absolute breeze to spin through 4 bumpy lawns.

The setting used was 2 as I didn’t want it to dig in too much (seems like it would), but will try 1 next time for a closer cut. Battery use after around 20 minutes was 1 bar. That’s where those 4ah batteries come in; in addition to the mower, I’ve also got hold of a Worx strimmer, which came with dual 2ah batteries. On a full charge, I got down to 2 bars on these after no more than 10 minutes use with the strimmer. But that’s another story. Safe to say, getting the 4ah packs for the mower is pretty much a no brainer.

All in all, after one cut I’m still happy with the purchase. It feels ridiculously flimsy to me, but is arguably a more modern solution, so I’ll give it the rest of the season to really put it through its paces, but so far so good. Although, the first cut next spring might still go to the LawnKing…

    Great produc
Quick delivery and the parcel was unspoiled. The mower is the same as one we had borrowed and cuts and rolls giving a lovely striped lawn. I will cut the grass a little shorter next time as the lowering of the blade is great.

Brilliant lawnmower. Loads of charge left after cutting my lawns and councils grass at the front. Not the lightest but it is big ( last mower was 34cm ) and also doesn’t cut quite as short on lowest setting as my corded mower but this seems to be a thing with battery mowers.

Very powerful cuts grass really well, slightly on the heavy side although at 70 I can carry it to the shed when folded. I will look forward to using it this summer. I have other Worx products, strimmer and high pressure washer so the batteries are easy to use in all.

I have a reasonable sized lawn. With battery fully charged at the start all four battery state lights are lit. I was rather surprised to find that when I’d finished there were still three lights remaining. My expectation was that they would be almost flat. Plenty of power so very pleased so far.

    Terrific Value for Money
I love this mower. It is light and easy to move, so much safer than having a lead trailing across the garden. The well-designed handle means the power stays connected until you release it, unlike my previous mower which disconnected frequently. The handle folds easily for storage. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that the motor is not very powerful so it doesn’t lift leaves and fallen berries. Other than that is is perfect for a small garden and brilliant value for money.

    So easy to use
Easy to assemble. Cuts well – not so great with wet grass. It is rather heavy – this is my first cordless mower so this may be an issue with cordless mowers in general. It saves so much time. The battery life is fine for me as I only have 3 small lawns and I can mow them twice on one charge easily.

    Lightweight and manoeuvrable
Reasonably easy to assemble though the instructions are a bit vague. Batteries need to be charged before first use. It leaves a nice stripe in the lawn and cuts very well though still quite high even on lowest setting. I did find that the batteries need to be kept on trickle charge after use as they went flat after 3 or 4 days. The great thing is that this is very lightweight (I can carry it over obstacle) and can use it one handed in tight corners. It cuts very near to the lawn edge. Very effective and an improvement on my old heavy petrol mower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally does the job .
When I read other reviews on the cordless lawnmower . It seemed most people reviewing were previous petrol lawnmower owners . Whom I thought would have pristine lawns . I am not a lawn fanatic, I have always wanted it for playing on . I therefore Wasn’t really convinced I need to go to the expense of a cordless . What changed my mind was watching a video of the worx being put through its paces . The gentlemen doing this used his garden that was somewhat like many normal family small plots .he showed how easy it was to assemble, which it is. Showed how easy it was to use the batteries, and then put it through its paces. It done a marvellous job . He then took it into a meadow where it performed brilliantly . I have had my mower now for several weeks and I absolutely love it . It is a pleasure to cut the grass now . My lawn looks so good , it has made me think about looking after it much more. The batteries are so easy to fit and charge . My lawn is about 80foot long and it takes only a quarter of the battery power to cut it . If you hate cutting your lawn with all the trouble with the cord ! Get a worx cordless you will not regret it . I have only given 4* for manoeuvrability because I have a very awkward piece in the garden and maybe should have got it slightly smaller model . But that is a personal matter. It looks good too . P.s. collapsible grass bag brilliant too.

Works well but heavier than expected
The mower arrived on time and it was very easy to assemble the handle and grass box. It appears to be well made with quality materials. I did not expect it to be quite so heavy, not back breaking but just “heavy”. The batteries came with enough charge to cut or medium size lawn with no issues. If you are used to a hover mower, like I am, then it’s not quite as easy to manoeuvre, rather than just sweep across you have to change direction in the same you would push a pram. I’m sure I will get used to it. It’s quiet in operation and so great to free of pesky cords tangling up everywhere.
