Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter a few poor roasts, searched the internet on roasting coffee. Ignore provided instructions, they are useless. I follow this.
Put in 250 g green beans. Set temp to 150C. Turn on machine. Allow to operate for 16 mins.
Raise temperature to 185C for 14 mins. Listen for first crack.
Raise temperature to 225C roughly for 12mins. Listen for second crack. Turn heat off and remove beans to colander. Shake and pour from one colander to another to remove chaff.
Allow beans to cook. Store for at least 7 days before grinding.
This is a rough guide. Experiment with temp and time, to your taste.
I am now delighted with results. (Colombian beans are most forgiving to experiment with) do some research on coffee roasting.
    Clean well after each use.
Does produce very nice coffee, but the art is in adjusting times and temperatures to suit your taste.
    Happy Roasting.

Fun for hot, fresh home popped corn.

Can roast green coffee beans to personal preference.

After I checked the other reviews and coffee roasting suggestions, this worked a treat. As has been noted before the instructions included with the unit are poor, so did not reference them. First result was good and happy with the roasted beans. Blade comes off so can be wiped out and the lid stops the “fluttering” bean skins from floating about the kitchen.
The unit is quite large so storing is a bit of an issue, but that was all known before buying this. A good product.

The machine is good. As other people have said, instructions are lacking.
The only issue is initially removing the locking nut on the mixing arm.
Easy and intuitive to use. As with any new machine, trial and error will be required to reach the “perfect” roast.

This was the second time I’ve bought this roaster. This one is for a second home. The new one is obviously improved, and came with a separate timer. They’ve made their offering a whole lot better. We’ll done!

The product seems to work well and is easy to clean, but, as others have reported, the instructions are lousy. Given that it is advertised as a coffee bean roaster the absence of guidance is very disappointing. Amazon should demand that manufacturers produce proper instructions, written in proper English.

It’s pretty good for an electric roaster. Minor niggle is the blade design, which can rise up and get beans caught underneath which just pushes them around until they burn and they can taint the flavour a little, but overall still a good little roasting kit.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPurchased to roast green coffee beans as an upgrade from a ceramic roaster, it’s very easy to use. The heat is simple to control and after a little experimenting I now have a consistent roast.
