The network connected to the device without me doing anything. Easy to set up the alarm notifications to an email monitered by a mobile phone. The system was set up in virtually minutes! No problems whatsoever.

Image quality is very good HD 1080

    Overall real value for money!

Ordered these cameras as wanted some extra security on our home. Checked for a lot of different cameras but in the end following reviews and partner liked the style we agree upon these. Picture quality is great can see garden and car perfect! Only thing I didn’t realise is that the recording box is not wireless so had to buy a long Ethernet cable so we could have this set upstairs in our bedroom. Also one camera fogs up bad when ever it rains but these are supposed to be water proof? (Yes we have cleaned the lens but it’s on the inside, and goes away when it’s nice weather). Other than that would definitely recommend this product!

    Great product! Works wonders

This took me a little while to set up, but once I’d got it working it’s a really nice home security system. The cameras need to be manually connected, so unless you are skilled at hiding them, you are going to end up with wires trailing about the place, but for me the trade-off with the results makes it worth it. Picture quality is pretty solid, and the internal harddrive stores a decent amount of footage before it needs to start overwriting. The cameras themselves also look nicely solid and well constructed, so as a deterrent this fits the bill. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCCTV Kit Review – ANLAPUS Brand

This is a complete 1080p 2 Megapixel CCTV kit using TVI cameras

In the kit is an 8 Channel DVR (Digital Video Recorder), this has a 1TB hard drive inside which is where the recordings are stored. The DVR comes with a USB mouse & its own power supply.
The 4 cameras in the kit are small black dome cameras about the size of a tennis ball, the 2 outer rings are plastic and the camera part itself is housed in metal. The cable coming out of the camera is almost a metre long, the connections are BNC for the signal and a DC power connection.

Each camera has a 60ft cable with it, with BNC & DC power connections either end.

Note: when you come to install the cable check you have the cable the correct way round, the dc connections are male/female, not the same each end.

The 4 cameras are powered with the second power supply that comes in the kit, the power supply comes with a splitter cable to give 4 connections, one for each of the camera cable DC sockets.

The DVR is about 8 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 2 inches high.

On the rear of the DVR are the following connections

8 x BNC sockets for Cameras
    4 x Phono Audio Input
1 x BNC Video Output (quite rare to see these on a DVR nowadays)
    1 x Phono Audio Output
    1 x VGA Monitor Output
    1 x HDMI Monitor Output
    1 x Ethernet Socket for Networking/Remote Viewing
    2 x USB Sockets
    1 x RS485 port for PTZ control
    1 x Power Input

On the front of the DVR are 3 lights and a USB socket
    Power light
    LAN light
    HDD light

When you connect the DVR to a monitor & power on a Wizard appears on screen showing editable system details
Language, Date Format, Time Format, Time Zone, System Date, System Time and a tick box to disable the Wizard next time the DVR is started up. There is also a QR code that can be scanned when adding the DVR to the mobile app.

After you close the Wizard you are prompted to set your own password.you can skip this part but please – Do set up a passwordall of the news stories you hear of cctv system being “hacked” are just people leaving the standard password set in their recorders, choose something unique that you won’t forget, i have no idea if there is a password reset system in this recorder.

Initial impressions of the camera picture are that it appears to have a slight blue hue, as if the white balance needs setting but overall the image is pretty goodi happen to work in the CCTV industry so i have seen much better image quality but for the price this is pretty impressive, especially when you consider it has a 1TB drive and room for expansion for only 149.99.

Camera viewing angle is about 90 degrees which is fine for most use, being a wide angle camera you should not expect to be reading number plates unless the car is passing right by the camera quite slowly in a well lit area, or getting very clear facial recognition from any more than a few metres away but it will do a great job or displaying & recording any local activity that may give you the evidence you need.

Right Clicking the mouse is how you access the DVR settings, it then displays a menu
    Single
    Multi
    PYZ
    Start Scan
    E Zoom
    Audio
    Snap
    Stop Record
    Playback
    IPC Channel Config
    Main Menu

Single – to display one camera full screen, select which one
Multi – Display multiple cameras at once, select 4 screen, 6 screen or 8 screen modes
PTZ – for motorised cameras, not applicable for this kit.
Start Scan – for motorised cameras, not applicable for this kit
Colour – for setting brightness, contrast, hue, saturation & contrast
E-Zoom – Digital Zoom into the picture
    Audio – Volume, Mute
    Snap – Take a Snapshot
Stop Record – Stop Start Recording
Playback – Watch back your recordings
IPC Channel Config – This surprised me, this is for adding IP network cameras, it appears to be able to use 3,4 and 5 megapixel cameras, more testing is required.

The Main Menu has 8 icons to choose from
    Setup
    Search
    Backup
    Information
    Disk Management
    Logoff
    Shut down
    Upgrade

Setup takes you to a submenu
Basic – shows system settings, screen resolution (1080p is best)
Live – Allows you to rearrange viewing windows
Record – Set record resolution, audio recorder bitrate, fps
    Schedule – Recording scheduler
Alarm – Motion menu, Video Loss, PIR, Other
Network – Network Settings, ports etc, Email, DDNS
    Users – Password for users
PTZ – Settings for motorised cameras, Pelco D, Pelco P, Lilin, Minking, Neon, Star, and others
    Advanced – Reset, import/Export

Search – To find recordings & Incidents
Backup – For exporting recordings to USB
Information – System, Event, Log, Network, Online users
Disk Management – format the hard drive & check its status
Logoff & Shut down need no explanation
Upgrade – this will check if there is a later version available online

Overall for the price I think this is a pretty good CCTV system, and the inclusion of an 8 camera DVR allows for expansion to more cameras if required.

All in all we are pleased with this camera. Hubby thought he would be ages fitting it up and he is not so good at electrics so we got an electrician in, didn’t cost much. The pictures are superb, really clear, don’t know why but we didn’t expect such good pictures so that is a big plus. What is also good about this system is that you can record for any amount of time you want. You can record with it just through the night or if you are on holiday and the house is empty you can record all the time. It is worth every penny of the price. It gives colour images during daylight and black and white in the night. Hubby said he has seen many systems more expensive than this and they don’t do so much.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been looking at cctv packages and got the chance to try this.
Each of the 4 cameras comes with a 60ft lead, harder to fit than the wireless ones as you have to try and conceal the lead in some way but it makes them more reliable as there’s no loss of signal.
You can add a further 4 cameras to the system in the future if you need to cover a larger area.
Unfortunately the camera doesn’t adjust itself automatically to follow movement so you have to make sure you set it to the right angle when you put it up.
You can view the cameras via a monitor, laptop or using their app and you can set it up so that you get alerts if the cameras detect motion.
A hard drive is included to capture video recordings from the cameras and you can choose to record continuously or just when motion is detected
The cameras capture a fairly wide area and the images are clear, even at night.
It takes longer to set up than a simple WiFi camera but it’s a more comprehensive system so this is to be expected and if it’s a serious cctv system for your home that you want then this should suit your needs.
The price is about average for this sort of product and it’s well worth the investment to protect your property, if only we lived in a world where you could go out and know your belongings were safe without the need for security systems.
Hope you found my review helpful

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe kit does contain pretty much everything you will need to install it all.
The first thing I did (as always) was to unpack the box and lay everything out, firstly to check if everything was present and accounted for, secondly to check for damage.
After inspecting everything and becoming familiar with the kit, the next thing to do is lay the kit on a bench or table, follow the instructions and set everything up on the bench, at this moment in time , only set up the basics as the more in depth settings can be carried out after the full install.Do not unwrap the camera cable bundles at this time, otherwise they will inevitably become tangled.Once everything is set up, as per instructions, power up and check the operation of the cameras.I do this to prove the kit is fully operational before I install all the cables and cameras, it also gives you chance to check the field of view each camera is capable of.
When you’re happy that everything is working satisfactory, you can start the install, basic tools will be required, as always check that the area you are about to drill are not too close to power cables or pipes that may become damaged. Do not run the camera cables along side power or lighting cables, this may cause interference on the cameras.
This kit is a very good basic security camera setup, don’t be fooled by its pricing, I have installed more expensive kits that don’t have the functions and clarity of picture that this kit has. Overall I am really pleased with it, easy to set up and program, the app is easy to navigate. I am tempted to purchase more cameras to extend its capability even further.
