Works well on my laptop with no ethernet port, does the job.
This works and increases speed over wifi works with my 2016 dell xps and 2015 macbook pro both gained a 20% boost over wifi i just used a long ethernet cable to wear i sit and plug it in.
Opened the box, plugged the usb end into the C Adaptor. Plugged the C adaptor into the slot on my laptop (works with just the usb connection also). Plugged ethernet cable into the other end and hey presto – wired internet.
All I had to do extra was switch the wifi off on my laptop. I’ve run speedtests and it gives me more download and upload speed. No installing drivers, no silly popups or messages. Plug and play personified. For the price, I’m still getting over the shock. Looks and feels well made too so hopefully should last being carted about with my laptop.

Converts ethernet to usb. My Dell laptop has no ethernet connection, but I needed one.
This did the job fine. No driver required for windows 11.
Didn’t work, as in it showed the Ethernet was connected but that it has no wifi. I tried with a different Ethernet adapter and it worked perfectly so it’s clearly the fault of this one
Update: Whilst it didn’t work, the customer service is incredible and I was offered a full refund or a new item. Also, this was the second adapter that I bought on Amazon that ended up not working so perhaps I am just cursed 🙁

Fitted inside the dock of an original Switch. Something like a 70% increase in download speed compared to the WiFi it was using. It’s on gigabit Ethernet, but the throughput will be limited by the capabilities of USB and the Switch.
The package arrived on time and the size is smaller than I expected. Tested both USB and Type C port works well when connected to the ethernet cable. So far so good.

Worked first time connecting a Windows 11(!) laptop to a router. No fuss, no mess.
The usb network adapter worked from the box on first plug-in on my windows 11 laptop. No need for drivers or installation.
My criticism is that the usb-c to USB adapter is hopeless. It wobbled about when new, then the usb-c part fell out of the bit. Fortunately my laptop has a usb-a port. Shame I couldn’t use my usb-c port though, and glad I didn’t need this for a MacBook!
Apart from this, the network connectivity has been stable and fast.

Comes with the usb c adapter which worked ok with two of our Samsung mobiles but not with one other manufacturers mobile. This could be down to the version of Android it is running not necessarily the adapter’s fault.
This adapter is from unknown brand to me, yet it has a nice build quality and the reason i bought it is to hard wire my laptop rather than using wifi

With the type of OTG cable in the picture you’re able to use this with Fire TV Stick. It works Plug & Play. My connection is a lot more reliable already.
The addition of a USB to USB type C adapter is very useful and can also be used on other devices without a problem.
My new laptop did not have a LAN connection which is a disaster should you need to edit the settings on your wireless router or you have Wi-Fi issues. I read about this and purchased without hesitation. Seems to work fine for me.
Plug and go. Now have full speed on the Internet. Happy

The adapter originally delivered didn’t work, but that’s not costing Atolla a star because their support was superb and a replacement was dispatched within a couple of hours of me emailing them. They also followed up to make sure I was happy with the replacement. Excellent service.
On receiving the replacement it was working with my Windows 10 laptop and Netgear Ethernet switch very quickly. It’s just a matter of downloading and installing a driver and plugging it into a spare USB A port (or a USB C port using the supplied adapter). I tried both and both worked.
I did find that using the USB C adapter meant the adapter felt a bit wobbly, but that’s because USB C ports are tiny and I’m hanging a heavy 2 meter cable off it. Despite feeling a bit flimsy there was no problem with the adapter staying in the port.
In the end my best solution was to plug the adapter directly into a USB S socket on my powered Atolla 7 way USB3 hub – it works fine at full speed.
In summary, not the cheapest USB Ethernet adapter, but neither is it expensive. Given that it is USB3 and Gigabit Ethernet compatible it’s very good value for money. And the support was excellent.
Would I buy another? Oh yes.
Works well. No need for driver install on MacOS. Only complaint is that the usb-c adapter did not fit properly in usb-c socket – tested with another adapter and also using a USB hub. Worked fine.
If you want to transfer files to your switch super fast, then do everything wired. This works perfectly, out of the box, first time, every time!

Very easy to install on the Nintendo switch. Simply plug it into the USB port at the rear of the dock. Plug in an Ethernet cable and within seconds it’s up and running. Excellent value for money. Couldn’t be simpler.

Bought this for my Samsung Tab a tablet and it works well connecting to the hub via ethernet much better for live streaming to facebook than WiFi.
I bought a new lap top which didnt have an rj45 socket. The wifi connection was very unstable until I did the 2 hours worth of upgrades. So I bought this adaptor and the next day plugged it all in and commenced the upgrades. Took no time at all and didnt error out. Once the upgrades were installed, the new wifi driver worked perfectly. I will however keep this in my bag of cables in case I need to plug into an ethernet connection when Im travelling.
I didn’t think this would work ,I’m having an outbuilding converted to an office and internet signal from the house hub was zero ,this piece of kit coupled with a booster has enabled super fast internet .Modern computers often don’t have Ethernet so this is a great solutio

I’ve bought it to connect my Switch to he internet via Ethernet cable and it’s been spotless.
Does what you want it too, currently a wired connection is faster and more stable than a wireless one so for online gaming it’s a no brainier.
his does what its supposed to be with the USB, i couldn’t get my USB C to work but im sure thats more research needed on how to get it to work.

A good adaptor that performs well. A bit fiddly to get working on a mac but they provided detailed instructions on how to achieve this.
Tricky to setup with drivers but works perfectly once installed.

exactly what i wanted. perfect product, sends over the exact packets from my router to my switch. extremely easy to setup because it’s literally just plugging in the ethernet then plugging in the USB.

Despite the product listing you do actually need to install a driver on OS X 10.15, but it comes with instructions and procedure is simple. Once you’ve done that it works well.
Just perfect! I bought this usb c to either net adapter because I stream from my xbox one to my tablet (elite dangerous and Red dead redemption 2) when in bed.
On WiFi I was getting pixilated images from time to time. Started using this plugged into a powerline adapter. And no more pixilated screen both games ran like a dream. Highly recommended if your WiFi is slowing you down.
The only problem I ran into was downloading movies as my tablet insisted on using WiFi (Google movies)

Works straight out of the box on most devices. USB-C adapter is handy, and not an unreasonable price. Would recommend.
I have used this adapter on my laptop via USB, although did test the USB-c adapter as well.
Simply plug in wait a few seconds for Windows to initially install the driver (automatically) and away we go.
Not sure how long the USB-C adapter would last, as the plastic looks to be really rigid so likely to crack over time, if you have it connecting and constantly just hanging in the air.

I bought this mainly to add it to a DIY PfSense firewall based on a computer with only 1 Ethernet connection. It works very good with Pfsense and it is automatically recognized by the Debian operating system.
I was able to test it on:
Microsoft windows: plug and play, drivers were automatically recognized on Windows 10 and Windows server
Ubuntu: plug and play,
Debian: plug and play
Hassbian: plug and play
A little bit of manual intervention was on VMware: I had to manually add the drivers, but worked like a charm after that.
In my tests the best speed was 800MB on a USB 3.0 interface.
I am pleased with this purchase, largely compatible and cheap.
