Air frye
I bought this brand after doing a bit of research. I wanted one that was a decent size for a couple or family! This one fits the bill. I have only used it a couple of times since I got it (last week) but I think I’m going to really enjoy using it and with it being non stick it is so easy to clean. The only thing I don’t like is the beeping when I change timer/temperature it is really loud !

This “BEAR Air Fryer 5.5L with 360 Rapid Hot Air Circulation, 1700W Air Fryers for Home Use with Digital Display60Min Timer & Recipes, Nonstick Basket for Healthy Oil Free or Low Fat Cooking, Black” replaces the most recent incumbent from Philips which also happens to be too small, not because the family is large, but because its basket can only fry a single large or two small portions of chips extremely well; add more and most are bland and under-cooked so food wastage is frequent. Many things it cooked extremely and consistently well. A larger basket allows for a wider spread, less depth for the same quantity of fries and claimed to deliver improved results – time will tell.
Bear is not a brand previously seen but has familiar features but unique timings and settings for common menu items. That was true of the previous machines as none used the same settings for the same foods; that was also true of machines owned by friends. It is advisable to get to know the machine.
A few recipes are included in an English-German booklet while other brands may offer 60 or more; Bear offer several on-line, some of which were previously not seen offered for other air fryers or known to be possible. The fryer has a set ‘menu’ and allows temperature and timing to be adjusted for any recipe regardless of its source when the machine is paused or the drawer extracted.
As there is less air space within an air fryer, it will heat very quickly and cooking times can be shorter. It is generally recommended to preheat a machine at the recipe temperature for between 2 and 5 minutes (check the instructions) for best results and to then load the food as quickly as possible. Oil may be sometimes needed for flavour and colour but best applied before loading food into the basket using a slotted spoon or tongs as appropriate to reduce the amount of oil transferred – less oil in the drawer lowers the chance of excess smoke or a fire!
The coating used on the basket and drawer is apparently Teflon which is not the most durable of those currently available – ceramic would be an improvement. To minimise damage, a disposable or reusable liner will protect the area in contact with food, especially when shaken or tossed at intervals. Although the basket dimensions are not given on the product page, they are elsewhere stated to be 23.5 cm x 23.5 cm (9.25 x 9.25 inches) and that would suggest the appropriate liner to be the 9-inch size. Unfortunately, the dimensions are external and include the encircling lip; 8.5 inch liners are the best choice.
This machine has one feature that is not well appreciated – it does not immediately switch off its fan at the end of a process. It may be intended to slightly cool the food within but isn’t explained although it beeps and presents a flashing ‘OFF’ warning for about 15 seconds followed by a visual warning for another 15 seconds; then it shuts down. The fan noise level is not unduly high or annoying but noticeable, potentially loud enough to interfere if following a TV program or a conversation and certainly were a telephone call be taken in its vicinity while it is running. A welcome inclusion is that its ‘bleeps’ are sufficiently loud to be heard in an adjacent room were it briefly unattended and for another family member to respond.
It has features that are sufficiently similar to those of prior machines to be familiar but a few differences that need to be noted. Over time, they should become second nature and less of a minor annoyance or inconvenience.
Addendum – used twice, first for potato crisps (online recipe previously successfully used in another air fryer, 15 minutes used in the past and now) and then chips (its own menu setting), both were overcooked and too dark, the crisps mostly dark brown and the chips very dry and lacking any internal moisture. In both instances, the pieces were lightly drizzled with oil, tossed and then briefly drained to remove any surplus, then laid in the basket and also spritzed with oil at the relevant mid-way points. To assess progress, each batch was checked and either tossed or shaken at 25, 50 and 75% intermediary stages when there were still uncoloured pieces. Next time, for one or both, a lower temperature will be tried.
Later used to cook some frozen pastry parcels, only the tops were part-cooked at the timing mid-point while the bottoms were still raw, turned and spritzed with oil and fully-cooked when the when timing ended although to a lighter colour than when oven-baked. It was also then noticed that the drawer front has collected several long diagonal surface scratches at the lower right corner, a couple of which are sufficiently deep to be felt, but the cause is unknown.

Das ist meine 2. Fritteuse und diese ist einfach genial. Einfache Bedingung. Sie ist tglich mehrfach in Gebrauch. Brtchen aufbacken geht so schnell. Um Speisen auch nur zu erwrmen ist sie besser, als eine Mikrowelle. Selbst Kinder knnen sie bedienen und man muss nicht immer den Backofen anwerfen, den man vorheizen muss.

Crispy and crunchy
My first air fryer and so far well worth it. My kids love it, it cooks everything to perfection. Chips are cooked far better than in the oven, and much faster too. We’ve even had jacket potatoes cooked in the air fryer and they’ve turned out brilliant!

This was a nice surprise as I wasn’t really sure what cooking with this would be like since I have never tried one of these before and it was brilliantly easy to use, so much healthier ( especially for chips) and it came with a recipe book too. I’m adding a video so you can see it in action.

Jumped on the hype of covid and everyone seeming to buy an air fryer. Didn’t fancy shelling out for a Ninja one, this one is great. Cooks evenly, nice design, very easy to navigate and use the touch screen. It’s loud, which I expected for a air fryer, but its not obnoxious. Only thing is I wish you could turn the beeping off when interacting with the screen.

Also ich muss sagen, ich war noch nie so verliebt in eine Kchenmaschine wie in diese. Sie hat ein groes Fach fr die Speisen und ist einfach zu bedienen. Unsere Brtchen und Pommes und Fleisch oder vegetarischen Gerichte werden Hammer toll. Selbst der Kuchen wird super. Htte ehrlich gesagt nicht gedacht das in manchen Sachen noch so viel Fett rauskommt. I can’t fault this one bit when I need to make a quick meal it’s been wonders and really easy to clean but you need to soak in warm water for 5 min to clean the oil really helpful.

Die Heiluftfritteuse ist absolut ok. Etwas lauter wohl wie andere Modelle aber absolut vertrglich. Wir benutzen diese fr die unterschiedlichsten Anwendungen. Pommes, Bratwurst, Gemse, Fisch, aufbacken etc.
Ich denke die Enttuschung anderer Kufer kommt vermutlich daher, dass es sich bei diesen Gerten weniger um Fritteusen sondern um Heiluftgerte handelt. Somit ist das Ergebnis logischerweise auch ein anders als aus der Fritteuse.
Wem dies aber bewusst ist, der wird auch damit zufrieden sein.

This is a fantastic air frye
I had a small airfyer and needed a bigger one so purchased this one, what a great decision it was to get this one. I would 100% recommend this airfyer it is great and so easy to clean, I have cooked a large chicken and a joint of beef, they both cooked a lot quicker than in an oven, no need to clean it in the dishwasher after cooking these, I just wiped the grease out with kitchen paper then washed in soapy water no scrubing needed, it looked like new after washing. Just remember when cooking food lower the recomended temp like if it says 200c cook on 180c otherwise it may burn.

Great Air Fryer All Around
I have used this air fryer to “fry” potatoes, homemade tortilla chips, breaded mushrooms, chimichangas, and even reheat pizza and eggrolls. This air fryer is so easy to use, easy to clean and has a versatile cooking basket. It does not come with the skewer rack even though the manual states it is included, but the seller was very apologetic for the misrepresentation and sent me one free of charge.
We have used it once so far. It does the job. it looks nice and has a large food container. It comes with a small recipe book with some cooking ideas and has a lot of options. The ton when the food is done is laud enough and can be heard even if I'm not in the kitchen. The customer service was also really nice and answered my question in less than 24hours.

… meine neue Heiluftfritteuse von Bear. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich bei Rezensionen von Fritteusen anderer Hersteller ein mulmiges Gefhl hatte, da einige von unangenehmen Plastikgerchen berichtet haben, die sich selbst nach mehrmaligem Gebrauch auch auf das Essen selber ausgewirkt haben. Das ist hier berhaupt nicht der Fall. Wenn man den Leitfaden fr den ersten Gebrauch durchfhrt, also Frittierkorb mit Seifenwasser auswaschen, und die Fritteuse 5 min. auf 200 Grad vorheizen, dann ist keinerlei Plastikgeruch mehr wahrnehmbar (welcher direkt nach dem auspacken natrlich zu riechen war). Und meine Kche ist zum Wohnzimmer hin offen…
Ich hatte tatschlich noch nie so gute Bratkartoffeln wie mit dem Gert. Aus der Pfanne wurden sie immer sehr matschig, in der Bear werden sie super knusprig. Ich schwenke sie vorher in ein paar Tropfen l und wrze sie mit einem speziellen Gewrz fr Bratkartoffeln und innerhalb von 14 Min. (nach 7 Min. einmal wenden) sind die rohen Kartoffelscheiben durch und so was von lecker
Aber auch Pommes und Fleisch werden super lecker und mit den voreingestellten Programmen gelang bei mir bisher alles. Ich habe mir noch ein Zubehrset bestellt und werde dann mal noch Brot und Pizza ausprobieren, habe aber keinen Zweifel, dass das auch klappen wird.
Der Geruschpegel ist mMn annehmbar, auch bei offener Kche. Mein Dunstabzug ist deutlich lauter.
Die Reinigung geht zgig, es wre sogar mglich den Korb in die Splmaschine zu stellen, was ich aber nicht mache, da die Maschine mit beiden Krben schon voll wre. Und die Reinigung per Hand dauert keine 3 Minuten. Das Gert selber wird nur mit einem feuchten Tuch abgewischt.
Das Volumen des Korbes eignet sich von Single- bis Familienmahlzeit, je mehr im Korb ist, desto lnger braucht das Essen um durchzugaren.
Das Design ist ansprechend und mit dem Touchscreen sehr modern und passt sicher optisch in jede Kche.
Von den Auenmaen muss sicher jeder selber schauen, ob es noch in die Kche passt. Bei mir luft das Teil wenigstens 1x am Tag und ich werde es sicher nicht mehr hergeben.
Fazit: Ich bereue den Kauf kein bisschen. Das Essen geht schnell und man kann vielfltige Nahrungsmittel mit der Fritteuse zubereiten. Von Pommes bis Kuchen. Das gibt die vollen fnf
Works very well, producing great meals
This machine is really simple to use. It comes with an instruction manual, but to be honest it’s really intuitive. The only things to really note are how to set the temperature and the time. There are preset functions along the top that you can use, but I tend to make composite meals (meat and veg thrown in together) so for me there has been a bit of trial and error involved.
What the manual doesn’t tell you is that if you open the tray mid-cycle, to turn your food or just to check progress, it’s completely fine and just starts where it left off once you close up again. If the manual had told me this I’d have had much more confidence to check on my cooking – and I’ve discovered that you can change the temperature mid-cycle too. So, this meal that I’ve shown cooking (meat and vegetables in a marinade) was set to 180. It was in a dark sugary marinade so I’m not surprised it produced that dark glaze coating – but once I saw this at the halfway stage I turned it, and then reduced the temperature to 130 to make sure it didn’t char. I also could have stopped the cycle early, as an alternative.
So there is an element of trying out, but in the main part as long as you aren’t afraid to check on it during the cooking, and adjust accordingly, you’ll figure out pretty quickly how it works.
Photos show the display alternating between temperature and time remaining. Video shows the steam level and sound (not too bad really).
Simple to clean with a dish-washing brush. The non-stick coating on the trays (inner and outer) works very well.

Ahhhh this is so good!! We have an Air Fryer from another brand, but wanted another one to give as a gift. I found this one and it looked encouraging. Thankfully I wasn’t wrong, as this thing is awesome!! It’s easy to use, looks good, cooks a good amount in one go (5.5 litres is huge!) and is powerful!! It’s also a bonus that the baskets are dishwasher safe! So far I have tried chicken and chips all made from this Air Fryer, and it was all evenly cooked and delicious!!

Super quick delivery. Package comes well protected and installing is super super easy. (Take note that the booklet says it comes with a fryer rack it doesn’t. I contacted the company which responded within an HR of writing them and they said that is from an older version). However a rack really isn’t needed as the air flow circulate thoroughly. The fan does its job well blowing air evenly through the chamber. The handle has a really nice feel to it. It has a safety lock mechanism to make sure you don’t burn yourself whilst carrying your food. Once you unlock the flap you can then proceed to removing the tray.
I went on testing their settings. Went with the steak recipe. Followed it exactly as they stated. In the video I show the outcome I did take it out 2 minutes earlier as I prefer my steak more on the rare side.
Clean up is super easy and takes no time. Overall this is a supreme piece of gear to help out in the kitchen and since I’ve gotten it I’ve been using it every day.
Lastly, I threw in some chips and hit the setting for French fries half way there I checked and they were ready so I would assume its down to the thickness.

The taste versus normal oil frying is minimal and I feel better knowing its much healthier & a few hundred calories less depending on what you fry.
Pretty simple to use and does not make much mess as it uses air rather than oil, cleaning is easy & the capacity is huge!

Very pleased with this hot air fryer from Bear, which was purchased after extensive research based on capacity, operating efficiency and cost. And I got myself a bargain.
The appliance was delivered promptly and immediately impressed with its sleek, stylish looks. It’s larger than expected but still fits comfortably on the kitchen worktop, underneath my wall cupboards.
The user manual comes in five languages, including English and German, and is comprehensive and easy to understand. Also included is a recipe booklet in English and German, which gives examples of the different types of foods that can be cooked in it, from French fries, chicken, fish and pizza to cakes and cookies (who knew! ).
To use, you have the option of using one of the preset menus or setting the time and temperature manually. You can also override the preset menu to adjust a dish to taste. I especially like the timer mode, which allows you to set the fryer to start cooking at a defined time up to 12 hours in advance — ideal if you want your dinner ready for you when you come home from work.
The frying basket is big and can easily accommodate meals for 4 to 6 people. Both the basket and the housing drawer are coated with a nonstick surface, which makes them super easy to clean, as is the interior of the oven.
In operation, the fryer is very loud, which is the only negative I can find. But I can easily live with that in order to get tasty, healthy food.
I’ve experimented quite a bit with it, making adjustments here and there with temperature and cooking time, and I’m thrilled with the results. Chicken, whether leg or breast, comes out beautifully juicy and tender. Fries made with real potatoes and tossed in a light spray of olive oil and seasoning taste out of this world. Fish also retains its moistness.
Although this fryer comes in at a considerably lower price point than most of the big name brands, its quality and efficiency is second to none. A brilliant purchase and a product I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I have been eyeing up airfryers for some time and finally decided to take the plunge!
As a household of 4, I knew I needed one with a large capacity and so this one suited well with 5.5L.
The air fryer is aesthetically very pleasing with a matge black colour and silver finishings across the middle and handle. It arrives with a user manual and a book with some recipes.
Extremely easy and safe to use, you cannot power on the fryer until the safety lock on the handle is locked in place. Once in place you can power on and preheat for 5 mins by pressing the start button. Once pre-heated you can then set your desired cooking temp and time.
I have used this to cook both savoury and sweet and meal and snack items and am yet to be disappointed with anything. My children especially enjoy making their cookies in this with only a 6 minute cook time required.
I absolutely love this airfryer and having had it now for a few weeks, I don’t know how I managed without one previously!

Ich mag keine Fett triefende Fritten, aber gelegentlich mssen es Pommes einfach sein.
Von daher musste ich einfach gucken was eine Heiluftfritteuse geschmacklich so leisten kann.
Meine Eindrcke zum Gert:
qualitativ gut verarbeitet
optisch ansprechend
die Frittier Lade lsst sich aus dem Korpus locker lsen und trotzdem sitzt sie fest wenn man sie wieder einfgt
Platz ist ordentlich vorhanden (siehe Bild)
Bedienung ist einfach. ber der Regler lsst sich die Zeit und die Temperatur direkt anwhlen
Es liegt ein kleines Rezept und Ideenbuch bei, bei dem ich direkt ein paar leckere Sachen gefunden habe.
Die Ergebnisse haben mich berrascht, geschmacklich ist es ohne Fett besser als erwartet.
Zustzlich spart man richtig Kalorien in dieser Variante – unterm Strich ein guter Kauf.
Wow! So very impressed with this. Previously I’ve had a philips and a tefal actifry, but wanted something with a big capacity to be able to do more in it. This fits the bill and is so very easy to use and very effective for doing the job. It has a pan with air inlets positioned in such a way that it sends the hot air swirling all the way round it and so browns very evenly. It also has 7 different presets to cook a variety of food for different times and temperatures. These include chips, chicken, cake, pie and fish.
The temperature settings range from 60c to 200c and the timer goes up to 60 minutes.
So far I’ve tried out chips, sausages and coated chicken thighs. All cooked perfectly and were very tasty.
On top of all this, the fryer looks stunning in my kitchen and matches my other appliances perfectly. It’s also very easy to clean.
Easy to cook from even frozen.
Great way to cook my meals with this air fryer. It is easy to use and can cook all most anything from frozen. It is enough for cook food for 2 peoples. I thought this might be a big unit, but it is really compact and can easily clean after use. It took little while for me to get use the controls. But after few time used it is easy thing to do. Food cook really well and not taking as much as time like my Gas oven. Overall I’m happy with this air fryer.
El producto se ajusta a las imgenes y a la descripcin, el diseo es simple y funciona bastante bien. Es como tener un mini-horno, perfecto para no ocupar mucho espacio y con la capacidad mas que suficiente para varias personas. El panel de control es muy simple y por ello es muy fcil de usar. Para su precio, es un producto de muy buena calidad.
En conclusion creo que es una muy buena eleccion, por mi parte recomendadisimo.
Trotzdessen die Friteuse XXL ist, darf man sie sich nicht gigantisch vorstellen, sie hat die Mae 32x28x26. Fr diese Mae hat sie aber mit 5,5 L einen erfreulichen groen Raum fr die zuzubereitenden Gerichte, wobei man laut Gebrauchsanweisung diesen Raum immer nur zu 2/3 befllen sollte.
Erste Garexperimente mit Karotten und Kartoffeln haben gute Ergebnisse gebracht, erfreulich ist vor allem, dass die Reinigung sehr einfach ist (wobei man nur mit Seifenwasser reinigen sollte, um die Beschichtigung nicht zu beschdigen). Sehr gut auch, dass direkt ein Kochbuch beiliegt, das wie die Anleitung in sehr gutem Deutsch gehalten ist.
Ein intuitiv zu bedienendes und sehr gutes Gert, dass ich sehr empfehlen kann!
Ich habe schon ewig mit einer Heiluftfritteuse geliebugelt, aber den Kauf dann immer wieder aufgeschoben, weil ich dachte, man nutzt sie eh nicht so oft. Ich hatte mal eine normale Fritteuse und die wurde vielleicht 2x im Jahr genutzt. Die vom Markenhersteller war mir zu teuer.
Wir haben uns fr die Bear entschieden, weil ich finde, dass sie ein super Preis/Leistungsverhltnis hat. Groer Garraum, sieht gut aus und tolle Bedienmglichkeiten.
Lieferung war rasend schnell. Beim Auspacken schon gemerkt, dass sie wehr hochwertig ist und sehr gut verarbeitet. Kein scharfen Ecken oder Kanten, alles gut verarbeitet und leicht zu bedienen.
Der Garraum hat wenig Ecken, so dass man sie super reinigen kann. Der Korb mit dem Auffangbehlter ist ebenfalls super verarbeitet und lsst sich sehr leicht reinigen. Eigentlich knnte man beide Teile in die Splmaschine geben, dass mache ich aber nicht, weil die Beschichtung dann vermutlich durch die aggresiveren Reinigungsmittel schneller kaputt geht. Ich stecke auch keine Pfannen in die Splmaschine.
Eins muss man sagen, man sollte Platz haben. Es ist ein recht groes Gert. Aber ich finde, selbst wenn man nur zu zeit oder alleine ist und den Platz hat, lohnt sich auf jeden Fall eine groe Heiluftfritteuse. Die Sachen werden dann krosser.
Ich war echt berrascht, wofr man sie nutzen kann. Sie ist fast jeden morgen bei uns im Einsatz fr das Frhstcksei. Ei aus dem Khlschrank rein. Auf 170 Grad und 7 min, das Ei ist dann noch wachsweich. So genial. Die letzte Minute ggf. noch das Brtchen vom Vortag mit in den Korb und schon hat man wieder ein knuspriges Brtchen.
Frhstcksbacon wird nirgendwo so schnell und gleichmig kross, wie im Bear. Man kann soviel damit machen. Egal ob Fleisch, Gemse, Nachtisch. Es gibt eigentlich so gut wie nichts, was man nicht da rein packen knnte.
Super genial ist auch, dass man die Temperatur in 5Grad Schritten bis auf 60 Grad runter regeln kann. So kann man auch wunderbar Frchte trocknen oder andere Dinge machen, die nicht so viel Hitze bentigen.
Sie hat einen automatischen Abschalttimer und einen berhitzungsschutz. Man kann sie nur Einschalten, wenn der Korb richtig eingeschoben und gesichert ist. Anders taucht das Einschaltsymbol auf dem Touchscreen nicht auf.
Ein paar Dinge unbedingt beachten!
1. den Korb nicht zu voll machen max. 2/3
2. selber rumexperimentieren mit den Garzeiten. In der Regel nach der Hlfte der Zeit den Korb mal durchschtteln bzw. das Fleisch wenden
3. Wenn der Korb und der Auffangkorb etwas abgekhlt sind direkt mit heiem Seifenwasser subern. Das geht super schnell und alles ist wieder sauber. Wenn die Fritteuse runtergekhlt ist, den Innenraum ggf. mit einem feuchten Tuch durchwischen. (Nur wenn man etwas drin hatte, was spritzt). So ist sie immer sauber und riecht nicht.
4. darauf achten, dass sie auf etwas feuerfestem steht und genug Abstand zur Wand hat. Die heie Luft geht nach hinten raus. Ich stelle sie in der Regel auf mein Cranfeld.
5. bei Pommes empfehle ich die Dickeren zu nehmen. Die werden irgendwie besser, als die dnnen Dinger. Auch Tiefkhlpommes ganz dnn mit l besprhen, dann werden sie krosser.
6. Sie sollte irgendwo auf in der Kche stehen bleiben. Wenn ihr sie in den Schrank oder das Spint rumt, dann werdet ihr sie vermutlich nicht so oft nutzen.
7. ihr knnt alle hitzebestndigen Utensilien nehmen, die ihr auch fr den Backofen nutzt. Sie mssen nur in den Korb passen.
Die Fritteuse hat auch 7 vor eingestellte Programme zb fr Pommes, Fisch, Chicken, usw. sehr praktisch. Trotzdem immer mal wieder zwischendurch reingucken. Und selber ausprobieren.

Gengend Platz im Inneren, Ich kann viele Pommes Frites auf einmal braten. Entspricht einem leistungsstarken Backofen mit Heiluft.
Ich habe eine kleine Anwendungstechnik: Das Auflegen auf Alufolie kann die Anzahl der Reinigungen reduzieren.

Great product to use. Couldn’t recommend anymore than I am. Makes everything cooked taste 10 times better than when using a regularly greasy deep fryer. Makes the traditional foods like chips or chicken nuggets be a little more healthy for the little children. Easy to setup and use as I didn’t even use the manual to set it up or to use it. Sometimes can get a little greasy but then found out you can place greasy proof paper on the bottom to avoid heavy cleaning for the product. Great product for anyone looking for an air fryer.
