Bees & Co Cotton Beekeeper Suit, Natural White, XX-Large

I’m actually pretty happy with it. It’s 100% cotton, and isn’t as thick as I would expect, probably about the sake thickness as jeans, so I wore a pair of jeans under it and also a long sleeve welders shirt and a beanie hat. I used goatskin gloves and rubber boots. I didn’t have to tape off the wrists and ankles because the elasric.works well. The zipper to the torso joins to the hood/mask and is covered and sealed by a flap with velt-cro. The zipper is plastic but appears sturdy enough, though I expect it would not stand up well to abuse. The hood itself is actually fairly decent, it’s not flimsy, it’s square, has a recessed place in the middle on top for your skull to fit into to hold it in place so that it doesn’t fall and let the mesh touch your face, preventing stings thru the mesh. The mesh itself is painted metal wire and strong. It is hot wearing thus, especially in the high summer heat of the US deep south.
I used it to go around the property spraying 10 cans of wasp spray at the red wasps here in mississippi. They had gotten so bad, I couldn’t even work in the yard. Funny thing is, while I was spraying them, the ones I missed, they wouldn’t even try to attack me. They took one good look at my armor and ran like he’ll.
For that reason, I can’t really say that it is sting proof, tho I did some reading and found that the common wasp had a 3mm stinger and this suit plus my clothes were easily twice that thickness. I think it’ll jeep you safe. Just watch the face mesh, because that’s where they are gonna get you if it touches your face, but again, the hood stayed in place very well. I would recommend .
