Great carpet cleaner easy to assemble and easy to use a bit heavy to carry upstairs but otherwise a great carpet cleaner and drys about an hour or two later would definitely recommend.
Pretty easy to use, just need to change water more often than I was expecting but no big deal as it’s easy to do.
Love the way it looks and is so easy to use. Brought up our carpets to pristine condition. Totally recommended.
Used on an Indian rug with high wool content.Worked very well but required removal of build up of wool now and again in suction tube.Made a very notable difference.I don’t have stairs so cannot comment. I have not yet used it on carpets but I would expect it to cope fine.

I was very surprised to see how grimy the water was after shampooing two large rugs. Looking forward to continuing cleaning carpets when the weather is warm although it does dry very well. Very satisfied with the performance of this machine. Time will tell on the durability and reliability.
It is far better than I expected. It is a little heavier but I think mainly due to a good extraction motor.
It has a clever water supply water extraction tank which is easy to fill and empty.
There is a small vacuum extraction filter that you need to keep an eye on but other than that, it works very well.
Do not use to much detergent as it will just create soap suds and not clean any better.

The ease of assembly was the first good point and then the ease of use a very simple but effective system which resulted in carpets and a chair looking like new, it was embarrassing how dirty the fluid was after use, make sure you remove the carpet pile it raises and ensure you vacuum before starting a clean. A truly excellent product at an extremely good price.
Was my first attempt at a carpet wash so I tested on my rug which I’ve had for a few years to say the least I’m impressed with its ability to clean on such a budget and have an upholstery cleaner attachment.
This comes 6 m power cord it’s water tank is both for clean and dirty water, there’s a bag inside the box for the clean water which as it empties the box then fills up with dirty water.
My only gripe is that the clean and dirty water compartments or not separate also I was hoping that the upholstery attachment would have a spinning brush head but unfortunately this will require you to scrub and then suction away with the hose it maybe notable that you can get an attachment for a drill to work on brushing up carpets which is probably the way I will go and use the Hoover then to suck up any excess water.
At the time that I bought this it was 140 and was by for the most well equipped carpet washer would I buy again yes
Great to use. Best upright carpet cleaner I have used, as had another upright carpet cleaner that kept falling over when water containers filled. Very easy to push and cleans carpets up well. Bit fiddly to put together when first purchased and ended up screwing a screw through the wrong hole as didn’t follow instructions but didn’t cause any damage to appliance working condition, just has a random hole now through the front of it.

It’s probably not fair comparing this with my old ailing vax as it was so old and leaky. This bissell is so easy to use, I like the single tank which I find convenient. This is a heavy machine but when using is quite easy and manoeuvreable to use. It has a large footprint compared with old vax. It cleans well and the carpet upholstery cleaning hose is really easy to use, though care and attention needed re: wrapping to machine easy dial control is very good. I’m certainly a convert from vax and certainly priced well compared similar specced Machines from other makers. Recommended
I’ve had dogs for years and always had a carpet cleaner at home and this one is by far the best I’ve owned. Very efficient and cleans brilliantly and even removed heavy stains from our dog being sick and urine stains when he was unwell . It’s a little bit more bulkier than what I’ve had previously but it’s easy to operate and not heavy.

Overall I think this is excellent value for money after pricing up others on the market. At first I was daunted with the clunky assembly instructions but in reality after popping a couple of screws in you’re good to go. Filling, emptying and cleaning were very straight forward. I’m really pleased with the results. See photos. It can leave little piles of soggy debri but I think this demonstrates its ability to penetrate deeper than the vacuum cleaner as these are the results AFTER hoovering!! Cannot comment on the longevity yet but I’m sure it’s going to save money on professional cleaning for what is a straight forward process to do myself. I recommend.

Easy to assemble, easy to clean. The suction power is amazing. My carpet was dry in no time. It cleans well, but don’t expect miracles from the first use.. you have to insist on tougher stains. Highly recommend
This cleaner is a lot better than I expected and for 129 is a bargain. I bought a Bissell several years ago, it wasn’t great so I sent it back. This one is so much better. My tenant left the carpet in the dining area pretty grotty. This machine combined with the Bissel carpet shampoo with Oxy was a great combination. It pretty much bought the carpet up as new. I did use vanish spray on the most stubborn areas. I cannot recommend this bargain machine enough. I did a 2 bed, landing, hall and diner on one bottle of solution.
Been debating with myself for a while wether to invest in a carpet cleaning device as the carpet started to show trail marks in the high traffic areas, despite me getting on my hand and knees with a brush and carpet solution.
Husband helped with assembly, easy to put together. It comes with a small bottle of carpet cleaner (3-4 tank fills), but I had bought a bigger one.
As you can see from the picture, the carpet doesn’t seem to be too dirty, I pushed the sofa back a bit, you can see the demarcation line in front of it. As I started cleaning the dirty water in the tank appeared just slightly grey and I thought it wasn’t doing much lifting the dirt, but when I went to empty the tank -well, the picture speaks for itself.
The after picture didn’t catch the difference very well but the dirty water shows how much dirt it picked up.
I expected for one full tank to last longer than it did, only covered a section of around 3 square meters going over twice, had to fill the tank 6 times to clean my living room and 3 times for bedrooms. I ended up going over more than twice to extract more of the water back in. Carpet left slightly damp, but no more trail marks around the room .
It feels pretty heavy but I didn’t find it too difficult to push around, though my arm hurts a little after doing 3 rooms at once.
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, hope it lasts.

Can’t say the heating feature is of any noticeable benefit imo.
So firstly the negatives, it’s heavy, it’s fine when you’re just pushing up and down the carpet but carrying it up and down stairs is not easy. That might not be an issue for some but I live in a town house so I have quite a few stairs. The other negative is you don’t easily know how much water you have left in the tank so I had to stop and empty the dirty water a couple times to better see. That’s it with the negatives .
The positives are: it cleans bloody great, it dries the carpet much better than any other I’ve ever used and so you can walk back on the carpets in no time at all. The machine itself is also super easy to clean and anyone that’s used these types of machines before know, the clean up after can be a bigger hassle than the carpet cleaning. I’ve always used Vax cleaners before but not anymore.
I shampooed my carpet with this and it’s brilliant, brings the carpet up lovely. So easy to use not at all heavy when shampooing and it sucks up the liquid really well so doesn’t leave your carpet over wet, dried in a few hours. Would recommend.

Unfortunately the cleaner wasn’t in a tin however it does do everything it claims to do on the box! Very pleased with this model, it’s an upgrade from our previous bissell model which we’d had almost 20 years! being pet owners they are a must in the home, they have kept our carpets looking new for years.

Worked wonders on my carpet with a new puppy very happy with my purchase especially on prime day .came with small bottle of cleaner didn’t last very long but really great on my carpet easy to use .I did find myself emptying quite often but my living room is probably the size of 4 standard rooms so took me a long time but a great purchase
it works very well. boy my carpets never looked so clean rugs to, only gripe the power cord on the bottom of the machine you got to keep bending over to pick it up, my back protested at that, solution used a small carabiner on one of the tool attachments, works great and my back agrees .
Purchased this to see if I could rescue my carpet after potty training my puppy. Wasn’t disappointed as it removed 99% of the stains and bought the carpet up lovely. I’d previously paid for a professional carpet clean and results with the Bissell were on a par with that.

Can do with a longer cord as it is short to do all the stairs. As it is a heavy machine is a difficult to hold in the middle of the stairs due to short cord
This carpet cleaner is excellent value for money. I researched numerous makes and read the reviews. This cleaner had excellent reviews and with the deal that was available at the time made it a very good buy. Brought carpets back to life that had been well trodden during some decorating. The one thing important to know is that it IS quite heavy, so worth considering. It isn’t an issue for me (yet!) and obviously it isn’t taken up and down stairs very often. Certainly it’s efficiency makes up for that. The carpets dried very quickly, it has a long cord so can reach the length of most rooms without too much trouble. Easy to assemble and clean. I would recommend.

This is the first carpet cleaner Ive bought and have been so surprised by the results of the first use of it. So much dirt came out of a supposedly clean carpet it was quite a shock.
The only problem I had was trying to clean the brush when job completed. Had to use a fork to pull free long hairs wrapped around the roller. Other than that its perfect.
Great job done, even better than the smaller portable version, which I still use for smaller jobs and cleaning the car’s interior.

Excellent purchase. I owned a Vax machine for a number of years, but when it started to go wrong, I decided to try a Bissell. We own a small dog so it is important that the machine provides a deep clean.
User instructions could be improved, but after watching a Youtube video it was really easy to assemble the machine.
Used to clean my home office carpet and the machine provides a far superior clean to the Vax.

This is a brilliant cleaner. I have a champagne/silvery biege carpet in my lounge. Hard to explain the color but quite light. My lounge leads to the garden that is turfed with alot of flower beds and large conifer hedging that my cocker spainel loves to run through and dig in. Even though we wipe his feet our carpet got very brown!! I ordered this and was over the moon. It cleans it up like brand new. The water we pour away after use is brown. After every use i clean the tank and the machine which is easy to do and the amount of dog hair it collects is unbelievale even though we have a really brilliant hoover that i use daily. I honestly couldnt live without this now. It was delivered quick, easy to asemble, easy to use, easy to clean, really lightweight and does an incredible job. The cleaning detergent is also a very fresh smell. I would reccomend to everybody with a carpet, even if it doesnt show the dirt as you will be surprised what comes out. I must say it is rather addictive.
We bought this to use on one large rug in particular and we were very satisfied with the results.
The first cleaning pass pulled really dank swamped water out of the rug. Overall, the rug is much brighter after weekly cleans since January (it’s now April) and it feels much softer.
Unlike earlier generation machines, the carpet is much drier after cleaning and is normally bone dry after 12 hours.
The key to getting good results seems to be little and often rather than one mega-clean every month.
I also do an occasional clean with just water in the tank to stop a buildup of cleaning solution in the rug. It seems to help.
The upholstery tool strikes me as rather poor. It sprays out a lot of solution but doesn’t seem to suck it up as well.
Overall, I’m pretty happy.
Great carpet shampooer. Googled assembly instructions on youtube that made it easier to put together. Once I had the knack of using it. slow and go over a few times to dry as mush as possible. Really useful. Bit heavy and bulky, but it is what it is. Good value for me.

Great machine, only issue is cleaning, front roller is difficult to clean as it is not easy to remove.
The suction power is good but can be better. It cleans really very well mainly when we use the cleaner solution with. It is not appropriate to use it frequently for stairs as it is slightly heavy.
Happy anyway compared to others products around the same price.
Used this on an old wool carpet, it cleaned and lifted the wool so it was bouncy to walk on, but it was a real hard slog, admittedly the carpet had not been wash cleaned for many years, but I have used a Bissel Pro 12 on a 1 year old carpet and that too was hard going. One has to constantly change water until it stays relatively clear, I was shattered when done but had a lovely looking, soft bouncy carpet on completion. Don’t think that you will just run over it and it’s done, unless it’s a new carpet be prepared to go at it a good few hours.

I have 2 dogs so plenty to clean and this cleaner really did the job.
I used it almost right away after someone walked in mud on my lounge carpet. Easy to assemble and use, it is similar to the Bissell Proheat one I had for years, so I`m hoping this will last as long. I went over the area once more with plain water, which I find is better to rinse all the detergent out. The machine sucked up very well, leaving the short pile carpet barely moist and it was clean and dry in a couple of hours with the windows open. Didn`t have a problem with clogging, but I did thoroughly vacuum first. It was loud, and fairly heavy, but not more than I expected. No point having one that`s too flimsy, that`s my opinion.
Bought for my daughter and son-in-law. 2 young children and a puking cat had spoiled their carpets. This has vastly improved them.
Brought this as I have used my mother’s old version. Works great , carpets touch dry within an hour . Easy to assemble. Easy to use . Cleaned the carpets well, yes if you don’t clean the fibres (and I guess pet hairs if you have them )up in the foot well it will drip afterwards . Just takes seconds to wipe clean . Some say it left dirty lines , well I can only Imagine their carpets are very dirty and probably need a couple or more deep cleans . Take your time , it’s not a vacuum cleaner , so slow motions forward and backwards . I tend to go over again with no spray to suck up as much of the residue water and found this works well .
All round very pleased for the price I paid .

We were looking for a carpet cleaner rather than renting one. After reading multiple reviews the Bissell Stain Pro 6 was chosen. Its a very capable carpet washer and the additional tools work really well. Its well build but a bit heavy. However when it comes to cleaning power I cannot fault it. Its amazing how much dirt it takes outfrom carpets thst loom relatively clean. Definitely a good purchase
This even cleaned an ink spill from our kids bedroom carpet! The carpets dried overnight and looked and felt like new again!

I have a 24 square metre lounge carpet that had not been cleaned for 7 years.
After cleaning the carpet is soft and springy again.
It has a 3.7 litre tank and I used 4 tankfuls to clean the carpet.!
The dirt removed is astonishing.
I used Screwfix no nonsense carpet cleaning fluid which does a tremendous job at a fraction of the price of branded carpet cleaning solutions.

Just clean it well after use.

Its heavy but built to last, and I doubt if you will use a hire product or a professional cleaning company ever again,its that good.
Having paid a number of people to come and soak my carpet through and not really clean it I decided to buy on the grounds that it cost less than I paid last time.
I’m now doubting whether my carpets were ever really cleaned before. We’ve never had shoes on our carpets and the water was black.
Stains that the pros didn’t lift are gone. The carpet pile is looking better and I think it will improve more after a second clean.

Easy to assemble, easy to use, brilliant suction carpets was dry within couple of hours. Used in heavy duty areas stairs, porch and also bedrooms and left carpet like new and smelling fresh which is amazing in itself as I’m owned by a great dane I marked it down 1 star due to the hose not reaching half way point on stairs so had to get my husband to hold it part way up so I was able to finish the job.
Really good. Gets so much dirt from the carpet even when it doesn’t seem that dirty! It dries quickly and doesn’t feel too wet as soon as you’ve cleaned anyway. It does use a the water quite fast but the tank is really easy to empty and refill so this doesn’t really matter. It’s really heavy to lift but is fine to push about whilst in use or moving from one place to another.
Used on all but one room so far and it cleans the carpets nicely.
I feel you need to use the hand held bit for spots.
And despite vacuuming before using, it still picked up a lot of solids and fluff – and it isn’t the best for this.
A lot of this fluff needs to be wiped off from around the bottom of the unit.
Not a problem functionally but one star knocked off as could have been better designed for cleaning around the brushes.

Although this is quite a heavy machine, and the instruction sheet was a little confusing, we found this easy to put together and superb to clean carpets with. Very effective machine. Have not used the upholstery function yet so can’t comment on that. Overall, very good value for money.

This is a fantastic machine as soon as I put it together I did my front room carpet I was amassed at how much dirt there was and we don’t wear shoes in there or drinks the bissel lifted all the piles back up just like new
This is a fantastic carpet cleaner. It comes in 3 parts, and is relatively easy to assemble, although the instructions for fitting the holders for the cable and hose are vague. Used it for the first time today, and it has cleaned the lounge carpet amazingly well, particularly where there is a heavy footfall. The bissell carpet shampoo also has a pleasant smell, not overpowering at all. We did need to refill the tank once; it doesn’t give any indication of how large a room can be done on one filling. Very happy with the product.
We have a Bissell hoover and love it too because it was cheap and has good power.
The pro 4 came quick and well packaged, the instructions are a bit odd with some of the attachments but its easy enough to put together.
Now, we have an old dog that pee’s on our carpet from time to time and this pro4 destroyed the patches and was so impressive… if you have stains this thing will get right in there.
I would also say the pet solution you can buy is very good too.

Found instructions long winded. I have put loads of equipment together and this, which
should have been simple, was made difficult by the instructions.
Having said that it is very easy to use and did a brilliant job on the carpet. It is good on furniture, but due to cushions/arms /curves will take much longer. The armchair I partly cleaned came up well, but took a long time.
A very thorough cleaning process that leaves your carpet touch dry if used correctly. Dont rush the job!! The only thing I had a little struggle with was the latter part of the assembling ie the brush and where to fix the hose when not in use. Suction is excellent and I was gob smacked with how much dirt came out of my carpet….shame on me!!!!!

The push bar goes back but it may offer some resistance at first then pull or push it.
Does a great job of cleaning and drying carpet.
Our floors hadn’t been done I years so we did it several times over 2 days
Once the water is clear then you know it’s clean

This is my first carpet cleaner and I love it. Its really easy to use, press the trigger for water release move it slowly across the carpet and back = clean carpet.
I have to agree with the other reviews – what a job putting it together, the instructions are terrible !! When you do eventually work it out how to put it together it isn’t that difficult to do.
