Sound is great, eye easy to set up. I have it on the expandable arm so I am not sure what it would be like (sound wise) as a desk mic. I would certainly recommend though.

When I talk very close to this mic, my mates cry in agony because it sounds like i’m actually in there ears.

Amazing Microphone with clear sound and does a good job cancelling out background noises, I hook this up to my pc and cortana and my friends hear me clearly without any muffle. I also plug this into my PS4 it also works to its perfection. Great microphone 5 Stars

This may appear to be a pricey mic but it is actually the cheapest of one of the good ones, to be honest cheap is not something you should call it as it doesn’t work like one. It’s built well, looks good and works really well. The omnidirectional setting can work a little too well depending on the noises you have around you. For instance I’ve used it to record a room of people, works great but it also picked up the dog outside and the occasional bird that got too close outside. Most houses have decent windows, mine doesn’t. Either way, easily recommend.

I really love this mics sound quality, crisp, clear and couldn’t be happier. the only thing I will say is that the stand that comes with it has a plastic shaft and threads. I found this odd considering the rest is made of metal and plastic threads tend to break so I was not too happy about this. Having said that if you’re careful im sure it would be alright for a while. I would absolutely recommend this one as its a great price and a great mic.

I have the 3 mode version and it’s great… but I only use one mode.
Very high quality audio, with the simplicity of USB plug and play.
Product is reasonably heavy, feels sturdy and is pleasing to look at too. The base is adjustable to a small extent (probably 2 or 3 inches height difference), while the microphone itself has an adjustable ball socket underneath so it can be positioned and angled easily.
This can be mounted to a microphone boom stand as well.
Only downside is it has no built in mute function, so you’ll need to use software to mute it (or just unplug it)
Good quality sound, I have researched a lot before buying. Definitely good value for beginners (vs fairly expensive Yeti).
I’d be better with the basic version as I use only the standard setting “1” (other ones are desirable only if you play with your band).
On the other hand, this version should have a better flexibility on its arms but it’s a shame the mic is set on a single height (it would have been great to have 1-3 different positions, I use some books beneath as my table is a little low).
My son was very impressed with these. Can’t tell you anything technical about them only that he uses them a lot with a sound filter.
One criticism: it was delivered at almost 10pm. Bit weird.
Good microphone, allows people 2 hear the audible chocolate that is my voice. Sadly they do hear the cars driving past in the background
It is good mic for narration. Sound level a bit too low and the amplification shows a bit of background white-noise. Never the less I would still recommend it for semi professional use.
Quality microphone, I tested with a friend on a skype call and it was a massive improvement. I spoke quitley from the end of room (opposite to the mic, and my room is a good size) and he could hear what I was saying. The only thing that let it down was skype’s VoIP connection, recommend using something like teamspeak as that is quality.

Use daily for 2 years. brilliant. I could even hear the next door neighbours having conversations when I used this microphone. Creepy but true! I have used this to record voice overs, intimate band practices and even the occasional thunder storm. It works right out of the box and has yet to stop working. would recommend.

Well its an okay microphone… it looks good, stands a bit flimsy if im being honest and the general feel of the product feels a little cheep but it does the job and looks quite retro which i quite like
The mic sounds great, if you’re worried about having to have the mic literally in front of your face, you don’t have to. If you put the mic on the 3rd setting, the mic will amplify your voice, enough for a bunch of people to hear you on Skype or discord. I can be at the other side of the room and people can still hear me, if you don’t want that then you can change to the 1st mode which makes your voice a bit quieter. This mic is fantastic, all my friends are saying how clear i sound in calls which is a first considering I’ve bought some good gaming headsets before and never had that said to me. I can see this mic lasting a lot longer than a gaming headset, I’m sick of going through gaming headsets because the mic always dies on me and this mic feels really sturdy and well built. If you’re looking for a microphone to use with a headset, then this is the microphone for you. For only 55 this mic is a steal.

get the metal version over the plastic ones, worth the extra price. good for using to record commentaries or just for skype or teamspeak.

Fantastic piece of kit great audio 10 times better than my corsair vengeance 1500 headset in gaming and for twitch streaming. I’m using it in Windows 10 and think the volume / gain is absolutely fine as kind as you not 20 m away haha ! I sit around a foot away and it’s perfect with little pick up for the speakers!

All is good, except that adjusting wheel does not hold the mic in place, so it’s either all the way up or down, even though i twisted it tight, sad, but the rest is perfect.

I’ve had my eye on this mic for ages and I can say I’m not disappointed at all. The quality of this mic is fantastic and well worth the price. As someone that makes Youtube videos and regularly makes calls on Skype, this mic has proven to be outstanding and I’d highly recommend it.

Although I do get people telling me the mic goes really quiet for a moment on Skype, not sure if it’s the mic or Skype messing up however.

For me this is probably the best microphone going for less than 50. It is easy to setup and comes with everything you need, and is just a plug and play sort of mic. The quality is fantastic and people have commented that my gaming streams sound a lot better. An incredible microphone, you will not find a better or more versatile microphone in this price range nor in the price range above. It is perfect for both music and voice recording and, with the right use of settings, is perfect for the amateur podcaster, especially with a cheap pop shield as well. The three recording modes add great versatility and enable recording multiple things at once, which is useful for interviews and recording several musicians at the same time etc. Both cardioid modes have incredible tone and clarity and give very little noise for a microphone in this price range.
I have been using these mics on various projects for a long time, and I could not reccomend them more strongly to anyone on a budget. For best results recording voice (such as for podcasts), use on the “2” setting (cardioid -10db). Run the mic through audacity or any recording software at a high input level, around 90%. After you have recorded what you want, record five seconds of silence, and then use the “noise reduction” effects (you can look up how to do this for any programme, such as audacity, online). If you record in a room with little echo and sit with your mouth close up to the mic, with a pop shield on it, you won’t hear the difference between this mic and a 300 Rode mic or similar.

I bought this for my son who is always streaming and he loves it. Clear, small and looks nice – oh yes he says it works great!
It’s actually pretty good. Funny story- i had it plugged into audacity and realized one day that the audio quality was quite bad- thought of returning it and later realized that on audacity I had selected my laptop microphone instead of ‘blue snowball microphone’. Also plug it in first before opening the audio editing software you use and make sure the right mic is selected for recording not your default laptop mic. It’s quite clear and low noise. Personally, I like the 3 switch version of the snowball (usually use only mode 1,2) over the new single mode version I’ve heard of- see if you can get your hands on the 3 mode version if you’re into music recordings (guitar/vocals) or podcasting.

Looks superb really catches the eye, built quality feels very premium. You certainly feel like you have a high quality product on your hands.
The sound quality produced for YouTube voice overs and some of the guitar/singing tracks I like to record is simply outstanding. It’s a fun quirky mic that performs way above what it should.
The negative reviews on here are comparing it to high level studio mics, that’s not what this is about its about having fun at home and having great quality sound from your home computer done simple and well. Just plug it in and away you go, superb BUY IT!

Early days but seems good – only four stars as we ordered the brushed aluminium one and although the box says it is that – but the one in the box delivered is shiny chrome – can’t be bothered to send it back but disappointed.

Beautiful. Perfect for recording sounds however if you are into gaming, people can also hear your entire building while you talk. But the quality sure makes up for this therefore i’m very happy with this purchase.
Good mic for practicing singing, podcasting or whatever but if you want to do the real work u better buying something else.
Decent size, weighty, robust and best of all it has the cleanest waveforms I’ve had from a microphone. Plug it in and it is good to go. Can be a little tricky to clean but other than that, I have no regrets at all.

The only con I can think of is that it is a little heavy, so mounting it on a mic stand is going to be difficult.
For the price, you’d be hard pressed to find a better condenser mic.
The mic arrived on time. I’m really pleased with it!
It was very simple to assemble and setup, without needing to refer to the manual.
Having the three settinge on the back (cardioid, -10dB, and omnidirectional) makes it quite versatile. Cardioid is the ideal option for recording a single sound source e.g. for a voice-over, or a single instrument, or singer. The -10dB option is useful when recording a very loud sound source — it reduces the input to the mic by 10dB, and the omnidirectional option is useful for recording sound coming from multiple sources at the same time e.g. groups of musicians, meetings, conferences etc.
On the downside I have two minor quibbles. . .
As some people have reported, the mic seems to record at a slightly low volume, This was also my experience, but it can easily be rectified at the post production stage. If you are using software like Virtual Audio Cable, and VoiceMeeter to monitor, or stream the output, then of course it is easier to adjust to your liking.
The mic is very, very sensitive, it picks up everything. It pics up the sound of my computer, even when the fans are not running. There is of course, a very simple solution to this, and, that is to buy, or make a DIY, portable audio booth. You would probably need to do this for any condenser mic anyway, if you need to avoid extraneous sounds creeping into your recordings, and it also cuts out reverb in rooms with bare walls, floors, and ceilings.
So, all in all, at the price, this mic deserves at least four stars
Honestly one of the best microphones I’ve paid for, the audio quality is so clear it’s unreal. Though, if you’re using it over internet such as Skype or Teamspeak don’t expect the best as the audio quality is only ever going to be so good due to how good your internet it, but for things such as recording and even streaming the audio quality is insanely good. I highly recommend this product.
