I first bought a Bonsaii 12 sheet cross cut shredder, which broke down after a fairly short time. Spoke to a technician from Amazon and was told the teeth had seized up, I was not putting more that 12 sheets at a time. So I invested in a larger shredder for 16 sheets and the whole machine is much more sturdy as I have a lot of paper to shred. Yes it was more expensive but worth every penny, I am getting through my load quickly now. And thanks to Amazon for refunding my first shredder.
I really do not know how people find this difficult to assemble as it only requires you to remove the packaging. It is the best shredder I have had to date and really shreds to a confetti.

I had a lift off type, always had to vacuum when I emptied it. Not with this, pulls out clean and a big bin.

Does exactly as it says but a lot quieter & takes a lot more paper .
Pretty good product, cuts the paper into really small pieces. The only downside is it will only realistically do one sheet at a time. Even doing two makes it smell like it’s overheating after a few sheets
The unit functioned s expected though often stopped on the 4th to 8th item shredded to cool down. Less than 2 months after purchase on the 3rd item it reversed, emitted a dull thud, and died. I have now contacted their customer services to see if this can be repaired or replaced under warranty. I will update this feedback accordingly.
It took a lot of e-mails and faffing around but in the end they have offered to replace the unit.
Was purchased for the home office during working from home. A good size , but not too large. Cross cutting action for additional piece of mind , cutting are very small. Looks good too. Not the cheapest but I have purchased cheaper in the past and then have found that they burn out out after a year or so , so I more heavy purpose build is useful. It would be good if the price point was below 100. Otherwise I would recommend.

lubricant on it I eventually found some STHYL Chainsaw lubricant that fitted the bill

The bin collects a lot for what seems like a small machine.
It does struggle a little with 10 sheets, but it still shreds them.
It’s quieter than many machines, and it hasn’t overheated on me once yet.
A fantastic shredder. Keeps going for ages – I have shredded hundreds and hundreds of sheets and pieces of card and it has only stopped once and only for a short while because it was getting a little bit hot. You can put in plenty of sheets at one time as well, as long as they’re not too thick. The shredded paper is so tiny – just like confetti – that there is no threat to security whatsoever, as far as I can see.
Well worth the money and delivered very quickly.

Very easy to use. Shreds paper into tiny pieces unlike previous shredders I have had that shred into long strips. Well worth the cost.
This chomps through paper in an impressive manner and produces a small shred. So much better than my old one that died after years of use(and abuse). I’m actually impressed by a paper shredder. Who knew!!!?!
This should be billed as an 8 sheet shredder. I think its is bit of a con to say it will shred 12. I don’t think it would last long doing 12 on a regular basis. But OK with 8.
This has been only the Second thing I’ve bought off Amazon, Im new to it.. I Recieved the Shredder, Easily got it ready to go and Worked it Very hard for at Least 25 mins, with upto 7 sheets including staples . No issues.. Cant tell you about the unit you receive but i Can say, Im Happy with this Unit..
Great larger shredder. Big bin. Rather than other shredders, you don’t have to lift up heavy part off as the bin slides out. Shreds into tiny little pieces. The machine is happy to keep going for ages without the need to cool down. Only downside, is that it does not take as many pieces of paper as stated.
Definitely recommend, as great machine.

Arrived as promised, easy to assemble and worked well. Cuts up papers to small sizes and tackles CC easily.
Be aware that you must use shredder oil on the blades every 5th or 6th emptying.
Putting the shredder together was a bit awkward. I found it tricky to get the base to fit to the shredder head. It has to “click” into place. Eventually I laid the head upside down on the floor and fitted the base from above. Inserting the four casters was also difficult and required quite a bit of pressure. Warning – the blades are really sharp, so if you turn it upside down as I did, be very careful.
However, I am very satisfied with this machine. It looks good and fits neatly by my desk and shreds very efficiently
Nice powerful shredder with a large easily emptied container for the waste. It is quite a large item of equipment so it would be worth checking the size if space is limited.
I like the very small cut for security shredding, this is my prime one in house and I have the old one in my craft room which is okay for what I need in a craft room.
Bought to replace burnt out old shredder. Needed heavy duty to destroy household accounts dating back to 1984 and this really fits the bill. Easy to operate, warns if it’s getting too hot, and the end result is high security waste that can’t be read. Great value for money
Bought this as it has a long run time. Got fed up with smaller units only being able to shred for a few minutes. We shredded a huge pile of papers in a few minutes, it would have taken hours with the old one. So glad we bought it.
It’s a lot bigger than the old cheap one, but easily moved around as it’s on wheels, not that it’s that heavy to start with!
Assembled easily and got straight to work, it never stopped to cool down even when feeding 6 or 7 sheet for a good while. Does what it says on the tin (well box).
Does what it says on the box and does it very well. Very easy to setup and use. The bin was large enough to store the shreds from a few months worth of old and unwanted mail as well as some old bank cards
I could recommend spending the $100+ for this shredder for a couple of reasons:
– great quality
– long run time
– good bin size
-wheels
– fan to keep it from over heating
– will last you for years making it worth the money in the long run
I had a cheaper shredder before, that would heat up within a couple mins and take forever to cool down which was annoying. This one can technically go non-stop (within reason) as long as you put a few less papers than it’s rated max feed. I would definitely recommend this shredder if you have a lots to shred.
This product works great if you’re only shredding 1-2 sheets of paper at a time. Every time I have tried above 3 sheets it jams which is very frustrating. However, if you are happy to just shred 1-2 sheets at a time then this works well.
After buying several cheaper shredders in the past, only to realize that they only have a short life, I decided to look around. After much research online I decided to buy this product and it has not disappointed . It easily shreds up paper and thin cardboard to an incredibly small size, with scarcely any effort. I liked every thing about this shredder ,speed, noise level and capacity . very pleased with this product.
The downside is that the sides are a little flimsy. Because the drawer pulls out in front ( which is useful) the structure is a little unsteady and you have to take time to balance the shredder safely on top. That’s the reason for only 4 stars.

the shreds come out in a basket horizontally rather than having to remove the heavy top which is the case with some slightly cheaper units (and who wants to expose their hands to those shredders or drop the whole shredder top by accident?)

I have it only a short time and don’t use it a lot but I am very pleased with it. Wheels were a little difficult putting on.
There should be info about the red ribbons. When I found out what they were for (Fan is working) I thought it a good idea to have them. Spent a lot of time researching before deciding on it.
This is a nice looking unit.
It is fairly quiet but definitely not silent.
I shredded paper using 4-6 sheets continuously for about an hour. It did not stop due to overheating.
I never did try 12 sheets as I think it would struggle with that.
I did notice that it needs to be oiled quite regular otherwise the rollers clog up with paper and it slows down.
I would recommend this product.

I have used this non-stop since I got it for my home office. It is perfect and hasn’t let me down yet, unlike for shredders I have had in the past, which have broken very quickly. I paid a little more for this one as I wanted a good one but it is still great value for money and I’d recommend to anyone who needs a reliable shredder for regular use.
This shredder is better than I thought it would be! Although quite a bulky piece, it’s made my job in here far easier. Simple to use, good value for money… would more than recommend it to anyone, including a small business. Has a large emptying drawer which is simple to empty. Perfect for what I needed!
Great shredder, we’ve not tested above 6 sheets at a time as previous experiences with other shredders still haunt our memories. This is brilliant, and a lot quieter too.
All shredders use the thinnest grade paper to gauge number of sheets it can shred, this is the first I’ve bought that handles multiple pages with ease, no slowing or straining of the motor, even shreds thick cardboard boxes with ease.
Although it has a time limit for constant operation I’ve not yet got to that time as it handles multiple pages so easily.
Excellent value for money and outperforms many ‘industrial’ models,
I’ve recommended buying one to my employers.

Never heard of this make, but couldn’t afford a fellows shredder as price for a small business vast, very pleased with this purchase, of which has wheels hence easier to move around. Nice large collection draw, shreds really well and quick.
I bought this to replace a product that failed on Day1. As I had a lot of historical rubbish to get rid of, I was a bit worried about the 3 mins on/30 off cycle and the machines robustness.
It is fine. In 3 minutes at 4-6 sheets a time (don’t suggest more) you can get through a lot of material in half a day.
Good value and would recommend.

Well, it’s been about a month of use with this shredder now, and I seriously cannot say anything negative about it. The machine is and has stayed super quiet, it shreds paper easily, hasn’t overheated for me (yet, I’ve used it maybe 5 minutes consecutive the most at one time), the bin is almost full now but I’m loving that it can hold a lot and since the cuts are micro-cut, it’ll naturally hold more than, say, a straight cut shredder does.
Easily a great choice for a self-employed/non-business use, for business I can’t comment on as this is used in my home.
Side note: Don’t forget to treat your shredder nice! I picked up a “sharpening and lubricating” set (AmazonBasics one) to help prolong the life of this shredder as I hope to use it for a number of years. This may not actually help, but I know my last printer (not this one) was having a tough time shredding near the end of it’s life. So again, probably unnecessary, but it’s a small investment ($10) to prolong the life of a bigger investment (this shredder for $150). Just a thought!

I just got this today and have used it for a few minutes already to shred a number of documents. This review is based off first look and use, and I’ll update it if anything changes.
First off, the machine looks like it’s made out of some good material. Meaning, it’s not a cheaper or thin plastic for the bin, it’s a decently thick and structured plastic. Putting it together wasn’t super smooth and easy, but it wasn’t hard. The only issue was forcing the wheels into the bottom placements and then getting the machine to properly line up and fit into the box. This wasn’t a lengthy install though, it still only took me maybe 2 minutes, no more, which also maybe indicates the strength of the material (a good thing).
When I used it, the machine was extremely quiet. The shredding **seemed** to be slower compared to my last machine, but my last machine was also a straight cut shredder and this is a micro-cut. I never timed how long my last machine took to shred one piece of paper (and I can’t anymore as it broke down), but this one cut one single piece of paper in roughly 6.98 seconds (timed). It took 5 pages roughly 8.25 seconds (also timed).
Aside from that, the only thing I don’t like about this shredder is the “touch” buttons on the machine for forcing the machine to cut forward (for example, if you put some credit card receipts on the sides where the auto feature doesn’t turn the machine on) or in reverse (for example, to clear any paper jams). This is probably more efficient than physical buttons too though. And as this is more of a personal preference for me, it doesn’t really have any impact on this rating.
So first use, really impressed. Again, I’ll update this review if anything changes.
Overall happy with service and product. Two minor niggles. Removing and refitting the waste box is a bit clunky. And it certainly feels as if it is struggling with 6 – 8 sheets of paper, never mind 16 as advertised. But fine for domestic / home office use.
I had to replace my old Fellowes shredder which had stripped a gear after many years of heavy use. This model seemed to be a perfect replacement but the first one that arrived was very noisy and rattled badly. Customer Services sprang into action having received my video of the problem and immediately replaced it as they suspected a gearing fault. The replacement works fine and is quiet as expected. Full marks for excellent service and a very satisfied customer.

The shredder arrived quickly and performs well. I also bought the Bonsai oil that goes with it.
This is a compact machine with a smaller collection bin than some. However because of the ease of emptying it has a removable bin) that is not a drawback at all. A small window at the front of the bin allows easy indication of status.
Emptying is simple just slide out the bin.. I’ve been delighted to note that it can cope with quite heavy shredding carried out over a long period without overheating.
At first glance the removable plastic bin might look a bit flimsy but I have found that it works fine. Sometime a bit fiddly to lock in place but a firm tap usually suffices to get the job done. The important part namely the shredder itself seems to be well made and has a powerful motor. I needed this device to help with a big shredding job of 10 and 20 year material some of which was on quite heavy paper-almost light card. This machine has saved me a lot of time and effort. I thoroughly recommend it.
I get through shredders at a high rate. Had major brands and supermarket own brand but never lasted above 2 years. I have never tried Bonsaii before but I liked the pull out bin and level 4 security. This is larger than the 5/6 sheet home shredders. It is on castors but they are small and don’t work well on carpet. It’s quieter than my old model but not silent by any means. It doesn’t do cards and CDs but that doesn’t matter to me. So far I am pleased but don’t know how robust it will be. It is quite flimsy plastic on the base and drawer so this could wear easily.
8 months later and still going strong. I shred a good handful of paper every week and oil it once a month. The confetti shred is tiny. It is not smooth to pull the drawer out, have to pull straight, but only need to empty it every few weeks.

Handles staples with ease.
I had a Rexel previously but this one is far superior, I can recommend it.
It’s small, compact and easy to use. It’s a beautiful design and easy to maneuver. It’s easy to empty and takes a while to reach maximum capacity. It can take up to 12 sheets of paper but it makes this strange noise that I fear it’s becoming overwhelmed. 6-10 sheets of paper is ideal. 4 sheets of paper is a breeze. Be careful because it’s easily scratchable.
I bought this for a friend & it seemed a good price, was delivered quickly & was well-packaged. It’s only been used a couple of times, but it seems robust & fit for purpose. Would recommend
Once assembled the shredder operates very well. However, it arrives with the shredder unit packed inside the paper catcher and because the shredder is metal and the catcher is plastic it has to assembled with care to allow the shredder unit to fit in to the plastic lugs of the catcher base and will not work unless correctly aligned.
Not withstanding this, the shredder works well.
Purchased not long ago & does exactly what it’s supposed to do..easy to set up & I must have shredded for at least 40 minute’s & it kept on going……I only put in around 7 sheets at a time & got through a load of cluttered paperwork finally…… pleased with my purchase.
Bought this shredder as I had my Husband’s accounts going back to the 2980s. I have had a small one going back 6 years but knew it wasn’t up to the job. It is fast, easy to use and all round brilliant to use. I would recommend this to anyone

The Bonsaii micro-cut shredder is reliable and fairly quiet compared to the previous shredders used. It is slow at times but I assume this is due to the micro-cuts it makes. No problems so far; I will update if I do.
Like the fact that it will shred the number of sheets of paper it said it would. On arrival first impression was that it was small however the shredded paper bin is deceptively large and works well for us. Seems reliable although have only had it a short time but overall really happy with it.
Out of the box this feels cheap and plasticky, it is not as easy to slot the 2 halves together as I would like, and if not attached correctly the shredder doesn’t operate due to a microswitch hidden inside a slot.
As for durability only time will tell, but it is reasonable quality given the cost.
I originally gave this an indifferent review due to the fact that the item is advertised as a micro-cut shredder but the packaging it arrived in indicated it to be a cross-cut shredder.
As a result of that review I was contacted by Justar and was offered, and accepted, a full refund plus keeping the shredder.
As I had not complained about the performance of the shredder I found this to be incredibly generous and exceptional customer relations.

This product was double boxed for protection, easy to remove from boxes and to install 4 casters for maneuverability.
Instructions for use are clear, short and to the point. This is not a heavy machine. the micro shredding is tiny. It is quiet.
A blue light to indicate ‘on’ is on the top center of the machine. A front center window into the waste basket shows the shredded paper.
Love that it literally shreds it into smaller pieces so you have less worry of anyone trying to patch any pieces up.
Its amazing that it can shred plastic cards too.
It also looks nice and fits nicely against a wall.

I purchased this shredder for my 95-year-old mother. She didn’t abuse or mishandle it. After using it sparingly for about four months, the base began disintegrating. The plastic base became soft and it began to fragment so that the front wheels broke off, and the base fractured and cracked to the point that it would no longer support the shredder head. My mother purchased the Bonsaii lubricant, and she lubricated the shredder as directed, only once. The collection basket was about half-full.
