Good volume for shredded pape
Nice powerful shredder with a large easily emptied container for the waste. It is quite a large item of equipment so it would be worth checking the size if space is limited.

Top quality shredder well worth the money
Bought to replace burnt out old shredder. Needed heavy duty to destroy household accounts dating back to 1984 and this really fits the bill. Easy to operate, warns if it’s getting too hot, and the end result is high security waste that can’t be read. Great value for money
Capable heavy duty shredder.
Bought this as it has a long run time. Got fed up with smaller units only being able to shred for a few minutes. We shredded a huge pile of papers in a few minutes, it would have taken hours with the old one. So glad we bought it.
It’s a lot bigger than the old cheap one, but easily moved around as it’s on wheels, not that it’s that heavy to start with!

The Paper Shredder to buy!
I could recommend spending the $100+ for this shredder for a couple of reasons:
– great quality
– long run time
– good bin size
-wheels
– fan to keep it from over heating
– will last you for years making it worth the money in the long run
I had a cheaper shredder before, that would heat up within a couple mins and take forever to cool down which was annoying. This one can technically go non-stop (within reason) as long as you put a few less papers than it’s rated max feed. I would definitely recommend this shredder if you have a lots to shred.
Happy with product but can only handle 1-2 sheets at a time!!
This product works great if you’re only shredding 1-2 sheets of paper at a time. Every time I have tried above 3 sheets it jams which is very frustrating. However, if you are happy to just shred 1-2 sheets at a time then this works well.
Fantastic Shredde
After buying several cheaper shredders in the past, only to realize that they only have a short life, I decided to look around. After much research online I decided to buy this product and it has not disappointed . It easily shreds up paper and thin cardboard to an incredibly small size, with scarcely any effort. Highly recommended

The downside is that the sides are a little flimsy. Because the drawer pulls out in front ( which is useful) the structure is a little unsteady and you have to take time to balance the shredder safely on top. That’s the reason for only 4 stars.

I have it only a short time and don’t use it a lot but I am very pleased with it. Wheels were a little difficult putting on.
There should be info about the red ribbons. When I found out what they were for (Fan is working) I thought it a good idea to have them. Spent a lot of time researching before deciding on it.

Execellent paper shredde
This is a nice looking unit.
It is fairly quiet but definitely not silent.
I shredded paper using 4-6 sheets continuously for about an hour. It did not stop due to overheating.
I never did try 12 sheets as I think it would struggle with that.
I did notice that it needs to be oiled quite regular otherwise the rollers clog up with paper and it slows down.
I would recommend this product.

I have used this non-stop since I got it for my home office. It is perfect and hasn’t let me down yet, unlike for shredders I have had in the past, which have broken very quickly. I paid a little more for this one as I wanted a good one but it is still great value for money and I’d recommend to anyone who needs a reliable shredder for regular use.

Excellent, quick, and easy
Great shredder, we’ve not tested above 6 sheets at a time as previous experiences with other shredders still haunt our memories. This is brilliant, and a lot quieter too.
The shredder comprises several pieces: the motorised shredding unit, supporting base, removable waste bin and four castors. Before assembly, the base unit is very flexible which made attaching the motor unit difficult. A fair amount of effort was required hold the base steady while forcing the unit into the slots. Fortunately nothing broke. Once assembled this structure is quite rigid. The castors (which are not essential) also needed more than a gentle push to insert them. One was so resistant that I considered reaming the hole. However it was solved with a small application of PTFE lubricant. Once in operation the shredder worked well on up to 6 sheets of 80gsm paper. More than that and the shredder jammed. Reversing the motor does clear this, but on several occasions I had to use multiple forward and backward movements and some hand-clearing to achieve this. Six sheets at a time is adequate for my purposes, but is about half of the claimed capability. I would not consider this a heavy-duty machine for office purposes. The waste bin has good capacity and is easily removed for disposal. The shredded output is very fine. I wouldn’t fancy reassembling it!

I bought this to replace a product that failed on Day1. As I had a lot of historical rubbish to get rid of, I was a bit worried about the 3 mins on/30 off cycle and the machines robustness.
It is fine. In 3 minutes at 4-6 sheets a time (don’t suggest more) you can get through a lot of material in half a day.

Never heard of this make, but couldn’t afford a fellows shredder as price for a small business vast, very pleased with this purchase, of which has wheels hence easier to move around. Nice large collection draw, shreds really well and quick.

Large bin and quiet machine

Well, it’s been about a month of use with this shredder now, and I seriously cannot say anything negative about it. The machine is and has stayed super quiet, it shreds paper easily, hasn’t overheated for me (yet, I’ve used it maybe 5 minutes consecutive the most at one time), the bin is almost full now but I’m loving that it can hold a lot and since the cuts are micro-cut, it’ll naturally hold more than, say, a straight cut shredder does.
Easily a great choice for a self-employed/non-business use, for business I can’t comment on as this is used in my home.
Side note: Don’t forget to treat your shredder nice! I picked up a “sharpening and lubricating” set (AmazonBasics one) to help prolong the life of this shredder as I hope to use it for a number of years. This may not actually help, but I know my last printer (not this one) was having a tough time shredding near the end of it’s life. So again, probably unnecessary, but it’s a small investment ($10) to prolong the life of a bigger investment (this shredder for $150). Just a thought!

I just got this today and have used it for a few minutes already to shred a number of documents. This review is based off first look and use, and I’ll update it if anything changes.
First off, the machine looks like it’s made out of some good material. Meaning, it’s not a cheaper or thin plastic for the bin, it’s a decently thick and structured plastic. Putting it together wasn’t super smooth and easy, but it wasn’t hard. The only issue was forcing the wheels into the bottom placements and then getting the machine to properly line up and fit into the box. This wasn’t a lengthy install though, it still only took me maybe 2 minutes, no more, which also maybe indicates the strength of the material (a good thing).
When I used it, the machine was extremely quiet. The shredding **seemed** to be slower compared to my last machine, but my last machine was also a straight cut shredder and this is a micro-cut. I never timed how long my last machine took to shred one piece of paper (and I can’t anymore as it broke down), but this one cut one single piece of paper in roughly 6.98 seconds (timed). It took 5 pages roughly 8.25 seconds (also timed).
Aside from that, the only thing I don’t like about this shredder is the “touch” buttons on the machine for forcing the machine to cut forward (for example, if you put some credit card receipts on the sides where the auto feature doesn’t turn the machine on) or in reverse (for example, to clear any paper jams). This is probably more efficient than physical buttons too though. And as this is more of a personal preference for me, it doesn’t really have any impact on this rating.
So first use, really impressed. Again, I’ll update this review if anything changes.

Overall happy with service and product. Two minor niggles. Removing and refitting the waste box is a bit clunky. And it certainly feels as if it is struggling with 6 – 8 sheets of paper, never mind 16 as advertised. But fine for domestic / home office use.

This model seemed to be a perfect replacement but the first one that arrived was very noisy and rattled badly. Customer Services sprang into action having received my video of the problem and immediately replaced it as they suspected a gearing fault. The replacement works fine and is quiet as expected. Full marks for excellent service and a very satisfied customer.

The shredder arrived quickly and performs well. I also bought the Bonsai oil that goes with it.
EXCELLENT MACHINE AT A GOOD PRICE
This is a compact machine with a smaller collection bin than some. However because of the ease of emptying it has a removable bin) that is not a drawback at all. A small window at the front of the bin allows easy indication of status.
Emptying is simple just slide out the bin.. I’ve been delighted to note that it can cope with quite heavy shredding carried out over a long period without overheating.
At first glance the removable plastic bin might look a bit flimsy but I have found that it works fine. Sometime a bit fiddly to lock in place but a firm tap usually suffices to get the job done. The important part namely the shredder itself seems to be well made and has a powerful motor. I needed this device to help with a big shredding job of 10 and 20 year material some of which was on quite heavy paper-almost light card. This machine has saved me a lot of time and effort. I thoroughly recommend it.
Nice desig
I get through shredders at a high rate. Had major brands and supermarket own brand but never lasted above 2 years. I have never tried Bonsaii before but I liked the pull out bin and level 4 security. This is larger than the 5/6 sheet home shredders. It is on castors but they are small and don’t work well on carpet. It’s quieter than my old model but not silent by any means. It doesn’t do cards and CDs but that doesn’t matter to me. So far I am pleased but don’t know how robust it will be. It is quite flimsy plastic on the base and drawer so this could wear easily.
8 months later and still going strong. I shred a good handful of paper every week and oil it once a month. The confetti shred is tiny. It is not smooth to pull the drawer out, have to pull straight, but only need to empty it every few weeks.

This is by far the quietest and best cross cutter shredding machine I have purchased. My old one gave up on me after 6 years of medium- heavy use. I would definitely recommend this to a small business or home office

It can take up to 12 sheets of paper but it makes this strange noise that I fear it's becoming overwhelmed. 6-10 sheets of paper is ideal. 4 sheets of paper is a breeze. Be careful because it's easily scratchable.

a good shredder but trickey to assemble
Once assembled the shredder operates very well. However, it arrives with the shredder unit packed inside the paper catcher and because the shredder is metal and the catcher is plastic it has to assembled with care to allow the shredder unit to fit in to the plastic lugs of the catcher base and will not work unless correctly aligned.
Not withstanding this, the shredder works well.

Bought this shredder as I had my Husband’s accounts going back to the 2980s. I have had a small one going back 6 years but knew it wasn’t up to the job. It is fast, easy to use and all round brilliant to use. I would recommend this to anyone
Fantastic service, arrived the day after I ordered it, well packaged, easy to put the roller feet on. Got stuck in shredding, is reasonably quiet, filled up the inner bucket which is pretty easy to remove, holds about 25litres of paper, perhaps a wee bitty more. Shreds it into teeny pieces, perfect! If you have any rabbits, mice, hamsters or guinnea pigs or anything else, it would make perfect bedding! Does credit cards and also staples. Didnt try to do the 12 sheets all at once, was not brave enough.its big without being cumbersome. Sorry I dont have measurements. All in all, an excellent product, and with today’s amount of identity fraud, should be a necessity in every household.

The Bonsaii micro-cut shredder is reliable and fairly quiet compared to the previous shredders used. It is slow at times but I assume this is due to the micro-cuts it makes. No problems so far; I will update if I do.
Does what it says
Like the fact that it will shred the number of sheets of paper it said it would. On arrival first impression was that it was small however the shredded paper bin is deceptively large and works well for us. Seems reliable although have only had it a short time but overall really happy with it.
This was ordered to dispose of several years of archive paperwork, some of which was sensitive. It successfully dealt with the workload reasonably quickly. It manages to shred very finely and holds quite a large amount before needing to be emptied.
Out of the box this feels cheap and plasticky, it is not as easy to slot the 2 halves together as I would like, and if not attached correctly the shredder doesn’t operate due to a microswitch hidden inside a slot.
As for durability only time will tell, but it is reasonable quality given the cost.

As a result of that review I was contacted by Justar and was offered, and accepted, a full refund plus keeping the shredder.
As I had not complained about the performance of the shredder I found this to be incredibly generous and exceptional customer relations.

This is a very easy shredder to begin using.
This product was double boxed for protection, easy to remove from boxes and to install 4 casters for maneuverability.
Instructions for use are clear, short and to the point. This is not a heavy machine. the micro shredding is tiny. It is quiet.
A blue light to indicate ‘on’ is on the top center of the machine. A front center window into the waste basket shows the shredded paper.
I purchased this shredder as a replacement to a more expensive model which was damaged accidentally. Although a cheaper unit, it’s cross-cutting results are very pleasing, as the resulting shredded paper is far more finely cut. Because it has little castors it is easy to move about without lifting. The pull out bin is a doddle to empty. I am most pleased with this shredder and can highly recommend it.

Love that it literally shreds it into smaller pieces so you have less worry of anyone trying to patch any pieces up.
Its amazing that it can shred plastic cards too.
It also looks nice and fits nicely against a wall.

Doing the job
So far this product is doing a good job, as yet no problems. Have also purchased, Bonsaii Lubricant Oil to ensure good performance.
Very shortly after sending the photos to Bonsaii Customer Service, a Bonsaii representative contacted me and offered to replace the unit with a new one, without my having to return the defective shredder, if I would update this review upon my receiving the replacement. I agreed, and the new, replacement shredder arrived on 19 April 2019. I wish to commend Bonsaii for quickly and efficiently taking steps to rectify the situation at no additional cost or inconvenience to me. I changed the rating from one-star to five-star based upon this outstanding customer service experience.
I purchased this shredder for my 95-year-old mother. She didn’t abuse or mishandle it. After using it sparingly for about four months, the base began disintegrating. The plastic base became soft and it began to fragment so that the front wheels broke off, and the base fractured and cracked to the point that it would no longer support the shredder head. My mother purchased the Bonsaii lubricant, and she lubricated the shredder as directed, only once. The collection basket was about half-full.
After killing another Amazon Basics shredder I saw they don’t make them any more so went for this one as it was the cheapest micro cut shredder. I have to say it is very good. The motor continues longer than my previous shredder which I think will help to stop any blockages. Early days but I think it’s a much better product than the Amazon basics.

Excellent for home use. Quieter than old shredder and easily shreds 6/7 pages at a time into tiny bits. Best part is the emptying of it – much better than having to lift off a heavy top with bits falling everywhere!
