Have been using it for a while now. The size is perfect for my small bedroom and it looks great, although it is not as sturdy as I imagined. It does move/wobble a bit on the side made for the clothes hangers.

Once assembled good sturdy clothes rack. Assembly pretty straight forward as long as you study the diagrams on the instruction leaflet and ensure all frames are positioned exactly as per the pictures. Would have helped if items were marked as to make identification easier. Assembly only starts to come together square when the shelves are screwed to the frame, up to that point the tubular frame appears out of true so don’t worry. Overall happy with the finish.

I bought this for my young daughter for her new room, she’s 12 and chose it herself. It did take some time to put it together, but it was mostly straight forward, but maybe easier had I had a small electric screwdriver!?!

It seems sturdy enough for her needs and so is pretty reasonable for the price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is the best thing I ever purchased. Been looking for a rail for a while but wanted one the same colour as my door – this was affordable, easy enough to assemble (but was a slight bit fiddly, needed another screwdriver than the one provided) and looks great! highly recommend

Delivered, well boxed and quickly checked all items, loosely fitted it altogether. Tightened the main frame and then added the wood panels. 30 minutes with a power screwdriver and fitted nicely into an unused cupboard.

Have now generated a clothes and shoe storage hidey hole. Made great use of an unuseable space

Great product, quick assembly and improves usage of space

Assembly was straightforward although tricky to align sometimes but luckily it didn’t take that long to do. A bit shorter than I thought I wanted
But the shelf space on the top means I can use it to store more bits. I made sure to screw it all on tight but it was still wobbly which means I wouldn’t trust putting too many things on top of it. It looks really nice when assembled and fits my IKEA standing mirror style really well!

This is an easily assembled clothing rail, that has the benefit of top and bottoms shelves. The frame is white, and the shelves are off an oak design and look quite modern.

    In the box you get:

    1. Left & Right Upper Frame
    2. Left & Right Lower Frame
    3. Lower Shelf
    4. Upper Shelf
    5. Clothing Rail
    6. Lower U-shaped cross bar
    7. Lower straight crossbar
    8. Felt Pads
    9. Various Screw and screwdriver.

Rather than use the supplied screwdriver, I used one of those small electric screwdrivers, which made the whole thing much easier. The left & right upper and lower frames simply slot together. Once you have put in the U-shaped crossbar between the two, it is sturdy enough to stand up to finish the assembly. I did not fully tighten all the screws until everything was in place, this made putting this together much easier. It only took me 30mins to put the whole thing together.

This is a nice quality unit and is fairly sturdy one assembled but is much better when there is a bit of weight on the lower shelf. The oak effect wooden shelves are well finish. All-in-all this is quite a nice garment rail.

At 54.99, it is a little on the expensive side.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful. Thanks for reading.

Arriving in a flat-pack, the clothes rail is assembled quite easily in about 20 minutes on your own.

Provided with it’s own screwdriver, assembly can be completed without additional tools of your own.

The steps in the enclosed diagram were easy to understand and follow in relation to the construction process which was quite intuitive.

Once constructed the clothes rail is reasonably light and easily portable, with two shelves, one at the top and the other at the bottom.

The build quality is very good and as a space-saver the clothes rail is ideal.

This took me, on my own, about twenty minutes to put together, with no real difficulties to speak of. It is a fairly straight forward job and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Practically, I really like the hanger, it takes all of my hanging clothes and I’ve added a hanging organiser to one end. I’m a single bloke and not much of a clothes hoarder and this gives ample clothes storage for me. It’s tall enough to take longer items, but still leave enough room on the bottom shelf for other items.

It is sturdy enough, with a little wobble when pushed, but hasn’t buckled under a full load of clothes.

Aesthetically, this is absolutely fine; it has a minimalist appearance that I really like. The metal is powder-coated in cream and the top bar has a wood-effect finish. I would think this would look fine in most homes with modern decor, less so in more traditional environments.

This clothes rack is very very nice and is high quality. I’ve had previous clothes racks that are just frail and fall over this one however is sturdy and requires screwdriver to actually put together. Other ones just pop in and out with no tools needed albeit their convenient but they don’t solve the problem that is a sturdy secure place to store clothes.

This garment rail arrived flat packed in a reasonable sized box which is not overly heavy. The rail is easy to remove from the packaging and took about 15 minutes to assemble. It was really extremely easy to put together and get ready to use.

The rack that I am reviewing has two shelves and two side panels. It is in black with wood effect shelves and accents and once assembled looks smart and sleek in our bedroom. The metal poles and supports are made of a really sturdy thick metal and give the whole rack a really strong feel. The shelves are not solid wood but they do seem extremely sturdy and strong, they give additional support to the unit as a whole. The hanging rail has a decent amount of space for clothing and the bottom and top shelves give additional space for folded items or books etc. There is also enough space under the bottom shelf for shoes or other small items which need storing.

Overall I am really impressed with the quality and look of this unit and it works well in our bedroom. If you are looking for this type of unit then it is at the more expensive end of things but the quality and overall aesthetic mean it is a worthwhile investment.

This clothes rail comes flat-packed and is easy to assemble on your own (i.e. one-person assembly). It does take a little bit of time to figure out which things go which way, but it is overall quite intuitive. Each screw pack comes with an extra, and even a screwdriver tool is provided, which I was really impressed by. So if you own no tools of your own, you can still assemble this.

The rail is on the compact side, and designed to be quite lightweight. I constructed it downstairs and carried it up three storeys without trouble (or at least, the only trouble was how out of condition I am!). For how small it is, it’s quite generous about how much space it has – probably because it’s not cluttered up with the things a wardrobe is. There are two shelves – one at the bottom and one at the top, and below the top shelf is the clothes rail itself. It’s strong and stable, although the length doesn’t allow for maxi-dress length clothing – more like shirts and skirts etc. It’s good for me as a space-saver/using in limited space.

I spotted some rust marks on some of the screw holes, which was a bit disappointing, but overall, I’m happy with the look and quality of the product, and at under 50, it’s decent value for money as well.

This doesn’t have wooden shelves, or ones made from MDF – they’re made of veneered chipboard – but apart from this slightly inaccurate bit of description, I’m pretty pleased with this little hallway rack. The rack incorporates a goodly amount of storage for a compact unit: coat hanging that’s sufficient for even long length coats, a shoe shelf, metal frames built in to the sides that add extra hanging space (a pair of hooks, coated to match the tubular metal frame, are included to this end), and a top shelf with a little cross bar at the back that helps to both strengthen the structure of the unit, and prevent items stored on top falling off the back. The assembled rack is quite smart and reasonably sturdy, although if you have little kids it’s probably worth getting a wall fixing kit, as it’s not so stable that it mightn’t topple if pulled or climbed on.

Assembly is straightforward. The instructions are fully diagrammatic. Everything on aligns correctly, and on the chipboard panels holes for fixings are pre-drilled. The fixings are all numbered, and each fixing type supplied in a little plastic bag with a numbered sticker on it. A small quantity of spare fixings were included. Nice to see a kit like this that came with little floor protector felt pads for under the feet. Overall pretty good at the price point.

    Good, compact hallway uni

The description and photos are true to the product. It arrives flat packed in a box with all the bits. It’s a shame polystyrene and plastic are used in the packaging. The shelves are made of MDF with a wood effect finish, I would prefer solid wood but these look decent enough. The frame is a good strong, thick tubular metal with a cream paint finish. 40cm deep x 64cm wide x 151cm high.

The instructions were easy to follow. The parts/screws etc are all in bags which are numbered to correspond with the instructions. You can’t go wrong. Took about 20 minutes to assemble. The finish is good. It’s strong and sturdy. Included are screw covers and floor protecting pads. It’s good quality better than other brands of flat pack furniture in the same price range.

The price is ok if it were a little cheaper I’d buy more racks and shelves and extend.

Clothes rail with two shelves – one top and one bottom. I love the design of this item, it is plain and simple and a great space saver. The item comes flat packed, I would advise two people to build as a little awkward at times.
I have been looking for somewhere that I can hang my ironing as I complete it so it is out of the way and doesn’t get wrinkled.
The instructions where a little confusing as the pictures didn’t match with the the items. I have shown in picture that one of the bars is meant to have holes in it to secure to wood but this piece has none at all in fact it is the other piece which does this is a bit confusing. After this the directions where pretty much abandoned and guesswork to complete it as seems self explanatory. The item is very secure and you end up with extra items which will be handy if something comes loose in future.
The item itself is a lovely light oak colour with white metal. I’m pretty impressed with how well it looks when completed.
This could also be used for an extra wardrobe hanging space in a spare room.

It’s only a small unit, you can comfortably hang 5-6 medium size coats on hangers , put a couple of pairs of shoes on the bottom shelf, a couple of hats and scarfs on the top one and….that;s about it!
The shelves are fixed with screws and whatever you do, DO NOT TURN THE UNIT UPSIDE DOWN TO TIGHTEN THE SCREWS – THE WOOD WILL JUST SLIDE OFF and the wholes for screws will now have to be fixed!
Instructions could have been better too, and its a little fiddly to assemble it.
I have to say I am not impressed and think its rather overpriced, given the quality of the unit.

Not that sturdy, wooden shelf is rather flimsy - overpriced!

It came in a flat eavy package!
Very easy to assemble, took me 10 minutes to do. It needs a flat surface, screwdrive and pay attention to instructions that came in the box.
Looks more expensive then it is, it’s sturdy and looks like it’s going to last for long!
If you like open spaces, this will be a good addition!
The only thing I dislike is that there was nothing to fix it against the wall, having kids it’s not ideal… But it’s something easy to fix!
In the middle you can put some jackets, on top some hats and gloves, under space for shoes, it’s really a nice little forniture

We really like this garment rack. It is stylish and decorative at the same time as it is functional and can fit quite a lot of items on there despite it only having a couple of shelves and the hanging rack.

The materials used are nice and solid and it was easy to assemble.

Got this so store our daughters school clothes, coats, bags and shoes. Instructions were clear enough and assembly was ok and took around 25 mins (one person). The side panels have come in handy for using as a notice board one side and hanging hats and accessories on the other side. Can get lots of clothing on this and it’s a good sturdy unit.

****The price has changed since we first ordered this though. 30 and under would be a fair price, but I think it’s current pricing is way overpriced.

Wasn’t sure at first as I thought it would be flimsy, but was surprised as it’s quite steady clothes organizer. It came flat pack, which took some time to get it screwed together and tighten everywhere, but once was done, we’ve got a great clothes rack. Easi to assemble by one person. The directions we’re easy to follow and it works great for what we needed it for!
We have the 2 shelves+ side panel clothes organizer, which is great for shoes at the bottom, hats/scarves at the top shelf. All dresses/shirts/coats on rail, could fit in easily 12-15 hanger, but I wouldn’t’ put more and the amount also depends on the thickness of the clothes.
Love the smart and minimalistic design, love that is not a closed wardrobe, so you can pick an outfit out within seconds. On the side panels we’ve got some hooks so we can hang up bags, more scarves, and belts, you could use this unit in so many ways. Can only praise it.

The box that this rack comes in is really heavy, so be aware of that when ordering. I took the bits out of the box so that I could carry them upstairs in manageable amounts. You use an allen key to put this together and it was far easier than I had expected it to be from the instructions. The result is a really nice looking clothes rack and I love the panels on the side as you can add hangers, hooks and even baskets to it which expands the storage massively. The shelf at the top is really handy too. It’s sturdy and happily holds a decent amount and I’m delighted with it. I’d definitely recommend it.

I like that this deign has kept the height of this frame smaller than most which makes it easier to access the top shelf and also prevents an unnecessary waste of space underneath.
Currently being used to plan outfits and to organise what I will be wearing over the next week/on holiday, it really makes visualizing clothes easier.
It is designed with neutral colours, helping it to blend in to most room designs. The grid on the two sides provides a great place to hand items such as belts, ties and hats and can even be used to dry some clothes.
The only niggle with this is that it is very difficult to assemble on your own and requires at least 2 hands. (I managed by myself but it was a struggle)

  38. Anonymous says:

This clothes rack complete with shelving units requires some assembly as it comes complete in a flat pack. Thankfully it is not difficult to assemble from the pack (and I suspect would not be difficult to disassemble and return to the box if you are moving house).

Functionally, I think this is a well designed product, the shelves are sturdy and constructed to avoid bowing or bending should heavier weight items be stored on them above or below. The rack itself permits storage of a good number of items, even if you do possess some bulkier jackets, overcoats and that kind of thing. The shelving above and below will accommodate shoe boxes, hat boxes, books, things of similar dimensions, without much difficulty at all.

Aesthetically, I like the pseudo-minimalist design of this, it would not be out of place in an alcove, or as something that could be placed in an actual wardrobe or slide robe where space permits and removed when in use, it would be good for a child or adult and I could see it being a useful utility for storing work wear or daily wear clothing on and returning it to after the working day. It may be good for a student living away from home, with little in the way of furniture or clothes storage options in their accommodation. Recommended.

I’m loving this storage rack/rail system.

It was very easy to build (an Allen key is all you need) and once assembled is sturdy and strong enough to support the weight of multiple hanging garments.

The shelf on top is really useful too for storing other stuff – I’m keeping my carry-on suitcase on it.

There’s additional space underneath the bottom shelf too – I’m stashing random odds and ends there any shoes are a little too big to squeeze in.

The side panels are awesome too as they are designed in such a way that you can hand additional coat hangers there too as an over flow. (I’m going to need more hangers to make the most use of this set-up.)

It’s easy to disassemble too if you need to take it apart for whatever reason. (Just make sure you have a container or bag handy to safely store all of the little screws etc for later.)

    I love it.

I like them, they kind of look contemporary and they are well designed. They provide all the storage that a simple minded man needs.
At this price they are a very competitive storage unit.

The item came nicely packaged and with all the pieces need for assembly, You will need a Philips screw head as well as one step requires 2 and 1 is included in the box.

Assembling didn’t take much more than 25 minutes, I managed to complete it on my own without any help, I won’t list the instructions as they were clear in the box.

The wood is nicer than I thought, It reminds me of the Ikea wood but nicer. The product does come with some stickers to hide the screws, but they aren’t the same colour or grain, but you probably won’t see these as they go on top.

When rocking the stand it stays sturdy, With the help of the included felt stickers.

Overall I would recommend, the build time is short and the assembly process is easy to follow. The metal is strong and very very hard to bend and the wood is really nice, A lot better than the simple Ikea wood.

I had this for a while before having time to tackle assembly from the flat pack – things like this are not my forte but my son and I managed it between us despite the minimalistic instructions. It is well made and fitted together fairly easily with even a key type screwdriver being provided, not the easiest to grip and turn but it was handy that it was there. The shelves fit onto the bars but are also screwed into place so it all holds together well and looked good – could be used for coats in a hallway with space for shoes on the bottom rather than it having to be hidden away in a bedroom. The rack is tall but wasn’t quite tall enough for a full length coat, but perfect for jackets etc. I like the clean, compact design of this – easier to fit together with 2 people working on it and holding bits in place but a more experienced DIYer would probably manage it well enough.

If you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a garment rack then grab this one. Sure a wardrobe is useful, but what so you do with the clothes you wore for a couple of hours and just need to air? Or where do you hang you outfit for the next day? Does it all get thrown on the chair in corner of the bedroom?
This particular example is well made, well priced and fast to ensemble. And will look great in your bedroom.
The shoe rack at the bottom is also really handy.
    I’d definitely recommend this.

Very handy little storage unit, it doesn’t take a lot of clothes, but the hanging space is certainly useful especially where space is limited. There is one low shelf, and the top shelf is handy for lightweight flat things. The whole is easily put together, the uprights slot in and the screws, shelves and cross pieces pull everything together making it sturdy and safe. It’s not expensive and seems robust. I would want it bigger and it ‘feels’ like it should be part of a larger unit, but I can’t knock any stars off because of feelings. It is what it is – a small, sturdy clothes rack, and it works, so it deserves the full score.

These are quite straightforward and effective. The materials are all good, well manufactured and well finished. Assembly was easy (once I had worked out that the rail screws were already in the end of the rails and not in one of the plastic bags), and there are surplus parts supplied so losing a screw is not a crisis. The details are considered – felt feet, and little laminate discs to cover the screw heads on the top shelf. You’ll want to load the bottom shelf as the unit may be a little top-heavy otherwise. Overall this is a fine piece of furniture we would choose again.

Really useful. It’s a solid construction and doesn’t wobble around like some do. The two shelves (top and bottom) give it added stability and the whole thing is pretty simple to put together. As you can see from the photos it can form part of a larger unit (great idea). This is ideal for people with limited wardrobe space, for those in transit, for people decorating or in temporary accommodation. It’s a great idea. I was sent this to test and review but my daughter actually took it home with her. I know it will get good use in her spare room.

I agree with other reviewers about the excess packaging (a hot topic these days) and that the price is probably a bit steep. Like most things there will always be cheaper items on the market and you have to make a choice. Personally I like this because it’s a solid construction and good quality.

This rack was very easy to assemble using the included instructions. It is sturdy enough to hold quite a few hangars and the shelf underneath keeps shoes off the floor or allows storage of folded jumpers, scarves and so on. I have bought several similar products in the past, but they don’t measure up to this garment rack.

It is easy to assemble and is quite sturdy. I live the fact that it had legs that join into two bars that stand on the floor, rather than four “feet”. I find those with four feet tend to mark the carpet, but like this style much Vetter.

It is very attractive indeed, and I live the fact that it has a shelf on the bottom. I see from the Amazon product page that you can get matching products that stand alone guide each other. I think this product is attractive enough to not have to hide away in a wardrobe.

I will shortly be moving into a house that does not have a cupboard for coats, and I know this stand will look very attractive in the hallway.

On top of all this, I think it is excellent value for money!

The unit is great for extra storage for clothes etc. It works well as a coat and shoe rack near the front door also. It can hold a nice amount of coats and around 4/5 pairs of shoes depending on the size.

The rack itself is well made and sturdy. Doesn’t look or feel cheap and looks great too. It has a shelf on top of the unit also. The unit measures 64 x 40 x 151.2. I’m happy with this and it looks so much better than just having coats on hooks under the stairs. It’s so much tidier too.

I’m using it for my winter jumpers and cardigans that take up so much room in the wardrobe…. then, when they go away in the summer, I’ll just pop in the spare room for visitors to use. I’ve had various, cheaper similar clothes rails to thus and end up throwing them as they aren’t strong enough. This is therefore great value for money and really shows you get what you play for. It looks great and is up to the job.

The only thing I would say about this as a precaution is it is pretty heavy so for those with back problems it might be a bit tricky moving it to your desired location in the box it arrives in, or when it’s assembled. This is a reflection of the quality but I mention it as it took my by surprise.

ideal for the second bedroom where you need extra clothes hanging space or a temporary for sorting all that tack and old 90’s kit out of the wardrobe.

Also make a good hanger for the car boot sale to shift the stuff.

Simple to assemble and does the job well.

The spare clothes rail from Argos I was using collapsed, so this arrived at a good moment. It’s certainly more sturdy and straightforward to assemble. It probably isn’t suitable for a full wardrobe, but set up in a guest room, it’s ideal. As thirty quid at time of writing, it’s good value. It appears to be sturdy and looks attractive.

I have learned to my cost that I cannot manage without a wardrobe in my flat and so I had already purchased one of these and was delighted to have to opportunity to test a second. This one is well made, minimal and does the job perfectly. Only thing I would recommend is to drape a towel over the top if you are using the rail for a prolonged period to keep the dust off.

This rack is much more stable than I had imagined. It, effortlessly, holds a plethora of coats and has a shelf for a box of gloves, scarves and hats. No more searching for that missing accessory.

The unit takes up a surprisingly small amount of floor space and manages to make a collection of coats look respectably tidy with very little effort.

Construction was so easy that I hesitate to use the word. It really doesn’t need the instructions and, if I can assemble it without the need to undo a stage and reconstruct, then ANYBODY can.

    A worthwhile purchase.

The rail took no more than 15 minutes to unpack, build and clear away packaging. The outer box was quite large 87cm x 49cm for a flat packed clothes rail but this is because of the wooden shelving.

The clothes rail looks quite nice once it’s erected and you could use it as part of your furniture and not hidden away in a spare room or cupboard.

White tubular frame with wood grain shelving. Measurement are: height 151cm, width 64cm and depth 40cm.

Once I opened the box I noticed the building instruction leaflet which was quite detailed and had a step by step guide. All the pieces were exactly as the guide pictures showed and all the screws were in little packets which were numbered so you couldn’t mix them up or get confused. Enclosed was a little screwdriver and not an allen key like most flat packs.

A few things to remember when building the clothes rail: make sure the silver rod is at the top for the hanging rail. Check the shelves have the rounded corners facing you and also make sure the bottom shelf is the correct way up as this has tiny little pilot holes drilled in so you can screw it to the frame, pilot holes should be underneath. Lay the frame down flat so you can screw the wooden shelf on.

Once the rail is built you get little felt sticky pads to place under the frame legs to stop it moving about or scratching any flooring. The rail has a wobbly and rocky feel to it but once loaded with clothing it is very sturdy and stable. The top shelf measures 65cm x 22.5cmm and the bottom shelf is 60cm x 38.5. The top shelf is a little longer because it covers the whole frame.

Once you have built the clothes rail you will notice a gap between the floor and bottom shelf which is quite handy for a couple of storage boxes as long as they are not higher than 17cm, you could also keep your shoes lined up neatly too.

    Lovely clothes rail

The unit arrived in a double skinned cardboard box and is easy to assemble – just a Philips screwdriver needed.

The coloured pole goes at the top to hand the garments on and it is held together by screws.

I have noted that how ever tight the screws are it is not really suited to be moved as it tends to twist.

Also not too much load on the shelf which has minimal support.

It’s lightweight, neat and understated, and true to its measurements, the distance from the hanging rail to the lower shelf is approx 120cm. I wear women’s size long trousers and there wasn’t quite space for them to hang comfortably, so better suited to tops, coats or shorter dresses etc, especially if you want to use the lower shelf for storage.

I found it fairly easy to put together, although the instructions are somewhat vague. I did it on my own in about 15 minutes, it comes with one screwdriver but I needed a second cross head at one point, to hold a double ended screw in place while tightening it on the other side.

I adore this! It’s great for coats, jackets without having them stuffed on the wall, ruining your decor or great for my nephews fancy dress outfits (he has a lot) and now he can hang them neatly and not shoved in a drawer or cupboard. It’s sturdy and very pleasing to the eye. I’ve bought these in the past and this is by far my favourite

Very good, sturdy, strong hanging rail.

I was surprised at the cost initially as these can be quite flimsy! This one surprised me!

Very easy to assemble. Clear and easy to follow instructions.

Attach the bottom half of each side to its matching top half. These slot into place nice and tightly.

Attach each pole for the base inbetween the two sides. These screw in well and keep it quite sturdy and well balanced.

Attach and screw in the top pole. This screws in strongly either side. This pole is a wood type effect vinyl on it. I like this little detail, modernising it somewhat.

Place basket on the two base poles. This slots on perfectly and stays in place very nice.

I quite like this. Its stronger and more balanced than I thought it would be. The poles are each screwed in very well. Some having a couple screw per pole giving a bit of extra support.
I like the design and the little details. I prefer it to most I’ve seen before.

I would definitely recommend this. I think this is a lot more durable than your generic cheap one. Its sturdy, stands well and can bare a good bit of weight too.

I have been mightily impressed with this garment shelve by Iris Ohyama, it’s practical and looks stylish in an understated way. I leave this in the hallway as a coat hanger but it also stores shoes and scarves. You just as easily use this in the bedroom as a clothes rack. The flat-pack style is easy to put up and it makes a change from Ikea, which is an amazing company but because of its own success, everyone has a similar style in their bedrooms.
A versatile and contemporary take on furniture.

I don’t see the point in spending a ton of money as a new one when this does the job and fits in perfectly with my bedroom. One of the simplest flat pack builds out.

I already have a coat stand in my passage but this one will look better as the costs won’t have to be hung on top of each other and will be easier to locate.

The shelves will be good for any other nick nacks that I currently have on a table in my passage. I will also use the lower shelf for shoes.

My passage is very wide so this will fit perfectly.

I do think that it’s a bit pricey at over 50 given that the wood bits = MDF, but other than that it is made well.

I would recommend if you don’t think the price is too much as it is solid and very easy to assemble.

I put this together myself and found it very easy, just a little awkward at times.
The instructions are just pictures but still easy to follow. The only one that threw me was towards the end when it refers to a particular screw with a star against it, rather than a number as the others do. Turns out it just means they are already screwed into the poles that you need to attach!
The finished item seems really solid and looks smart. I intend on using it in my spare room for guests to hang coats, place shoes and perhaps overnight bags neatly and out of their way. I can see it being very useful in a hallway too.
I would definitely recommend this product and will look into getting another one.
I hope this review has been helpful to your purchase

Amazing quality and looks so stylish once assembled, with a nice added touch of the rail being finished in wood, a very decent size with plenty of storage on the lattice for boxes or shoes.

This is really easy to build with just a Phillips/Crosshead screwdriver. Everything needed apart from the screwdriver is included, including build instructions which are in three cartoon drawing stages.

Its almost entirely tubed metal, that slots together, and then two metal bars at the bottom screw in, as does the mdf rail that looks like real wood. The shoe rack literally clips onto the two bottom bars. Very simple but perfectly functional. I built this easily in under 8 minutes.

Its clean and modern looking and is ideal for a modern bedroom.

Good sized and easy to build

The quality of this made-in-China item is far better than expected and more on a par with items from Ikea, which I think are of a higher quality than Argos’s MDF stuff. I do think for what little you get, though, that it’s worth more 20 than the 29.99-to-32.99 that this basic 2-shelf clothes rack ranges from/to.

There’s a lot of packing with this – polystyrene, which is hard to dispose of, and lots of plastic sleeving (weirdly, some things were sleeved, and others not, yet they were identical items) and a very solid box. That came in a very, very, very large box with lots and lots and lots of scrunched-up paper. The box was so large that I kept it til hubs came home, as he didn’t believe that 5ft 2 inches tall me could climb inside and sit comfortably cross-legged. I’m not impressed by the amount of Amazon packaging used, though the item’s own packaging is needed to prevent damage. Not one piece of metal was scratched, and both pieces of wood were nicely edged (rounded at the front, 90 degree corners at the rear).

The diagram and steps were easy to follow, even without any words, and the rack can be put together by one person in around 20 mins, with full tightening of everything once you’ve slotted it all together. It was the slotting of the lower shelf in the assembled frame, and the fitting of the top shelf to the frame that took time, as some of the screws needed to be held from the bottom whilst you screwed in from the top. All doable solo, sure, but handier with another person to avoid ’empty’ screwing. With one person, you do need space about the size of a medium rug to be able to assemble this without smacking into anything. Don’t be alarmed to have a spare of everything left over – the diagrams tell you how many of each screw/fastener, etc. you need, and you get one spare. The manufacturers have even thought of little sticky back plastic circles to go on the top shelf to cover up the screw heads and holes (they don’t quite match the colour or grain of the shelf, but they come pretty close). There are also sticky felt-like pads for the base, to prevent movement and protect your floors (unfortunately, by the time I spotted one had come off during transportation, I’d already filled the unit.

So, yes, I’ve not used these with clothes hangers, but have hung 2 Ikea accordion-style hanging clothes racks/wardrobe organiser racks from them – see picture. They do take a bit of squashing to go in, and the bottom compartments rest on the wooden shelf, so a tiny bit of storage is lost, but on the whole, these are great. With regular hangers, dust will accumulate on clothes, so I find the racks better.

The shelf is narrower than expected back to front, and side to side, which is a plus, as I’ve used this where there’s very little storage. It’s certainly a sleeker, narrower unit than the freestanding plastic clothes rail on wheels that it’s replaced. It looks good, is really, really solid and of good quality, and you can get other items in the range that clip on the sides to make a bigger unit. The shelves are a beech colour, so would suit most bedroom furniture. The ‘white’ mentioned in the ad refers to the frame only, which is actually a lovely cream colour.

Very pleased to have this and have since ordered another item from this manufacturer.

Updated 8/12/19 – since this item has appeared on Amazon Vine for review, the price of the 2-shelf cream rack has shot up from 29.99 to over 51. That’s a joke, because however well made this item is, it’s not worth 29.99 as it is let alone an inflated price.

Would have been a 5* product, had it not been a little overpriced. Updated...

This was simple to assemble with an easy to follow diagram. It took me and my daughter just under 10 minutes from unpacking to full assembly. It’s very sturdy and looks good too. We have 36 hangers of clothes on it with room for more. The bottom shelf has been used for 2 storage boxes filled with more clothes! Fabulous value and I am so pleased with it that I will be buying another one.
