The Burg Wächter Elegance post box is manufactured from tough galvanised steel with a secure lock. An outward opening letter flap provides all-round weather protection to keep mail dry, whilst the specially designed narrow post slot provides extra security against post being removed. Mail is retrieved by unlocking the drop front style door. The post box has a stylish embossed design and benefits from a name plate window. Two keys and all fixings are supplied.

Lovely colour!
Lovely letterbox – matches my front door! The key tends to stick a little (the original snapped in half) but it’s still ok. Easy to install and a year later, it’s still in place and surviving the elements. Great value for money and I would definitely buy again.

Looks great, a modern looking postbox. Larger so great for your post. Easy to install. I haven’t had it long but the tip of coating with car wax should help greatly with rusting and keeping it weatherproof. I would recommend. Thank you

I brought this wall mounted post box as my old one was looking quite shabby. The mounted galvanized post box was so easy to hang and it holds a lot more then l thought it would. We have had a lot of heavy rain and high winds lately but l haven’t found any water or bits of dirt or leaves inside like my old one used to collect in bad weather. It also looks very good and comes in a few nice colours.
Good mailbox
I liked the mailbox and the different colours. The colour I received was lighter than the pic in the ad, but wasn’t a problem for me.
The installation is quite easy. There’s a spacer so the mailbox is not flush to the wall. In my case of of them actually desintegrated when I screwed it to the wall. So, advise is to get better ones.
The mailbox looks good and serves the purpose. It’s not fully waterproof as I found drops inside after the rain. This was a bit disappointing and mentioned by other buyers. Think there’s no mailbox suffering from this problem unless it’s under a roof.
Overall, it’s a good one. Only have it for a month so nothing to complain about it. Paint looks great and key works.
Large and seems secure
I wanted a post box that was secure and people couldn’t put hands in. This is great and is large enough for big mail too. Door is a bit wobbly when on, not tightly closed but think it will be secure for its purpose.
Sturdy and stylish
Really good quality product both from the build quality and the paint coating. Relatively easy to hang but 2 pairs of hands would have made it easier. Locking mechanism is really good and mail is easy to pop in and get out. Will last for years from looking at it. Highly recommended.

Good size and colou
Love the colour as it matches my front door perfectly. Easy to fit, only downfall is the opening isn’t big enough, great for any size letters, but small packages are a no no
Good quality poor desig
Im happy with the postbox overall just a few annoying niggles.
1. The product is made in China, I wish it would state this on Amazon because I like to support British companies and workers.
2. The wall plugs and screws supplied are crap to say the least.
3. Why o Why did they put the 2 top holes in the back plate level with the upper part of the post box. How in the flip are you meant to get those in with a screwdriver. Laughable design, makes you think they did it on purpose. Luckily i had a rightangled impact drice arm for tight spaces otherwise I would have been ducked!
Nice looking and good size
I’ve said it’s waterproof but yet to have heavy rain as a test. Looks good and is a good size. Small niggle is that to top holes line up with the fixed bar between 2 openings making it a little awkward.
Seems really good quality
Bought this to stop the dogs going mad when the postman came, was super easy to put up, looks great and is safe and secure. Seems to keep the weather/rain out is on a wall that gets driven rain and no problems so far.
Easy to fi
Bought this post box as we have to keep our drive gate locked since our new dog arrived. The box was easy to fit securely and is large enough to fit A4 letters and slim parcels. There are 2 keys. It’s made from good quality galvanised metal and looks like it will cope with the weather while keeping post dry.

Disappointed prime custome
I bought this item in replace another mailbox Aqua Optima EPS612 Evolve but I have had a fall and had a head injury and had to go to hospital, but in the meantime the return date expired on the 17th June and very sadly I I’m out of time

Lovely mailbox. Perfect size, great colour, easy to install and arrived very well packaged to avoid damage. Would highly recommend this unobtrusive and yet stylish mailbox.

Very pleased with my new postbox. Sturdy, smart looking & weatherproof. Little dearer than some, but you get what you pay for.
No complaints
We bought this to use at our charity offices. Looks good and seems very well made. Comes with two keys but we easily had three additional keys cut at our local Timpson. The box is installed in the office foyer so I can’t rate the weatherproofing.

As described. Looks good on wall. A little difficult to post larger letters or cardboard products in. Bought to replace a box that opened at the top and made post too accessible to others. This has done the job.

I needed a replacement post box that was harder for people to get their hands in or to lever off the door because my last two my mail had been stolen from, the second one having the door ripped off.
This one you cannot get a hand into the slot and the door is more difficult to lever off. It is probably possible but would take some time.
It seems very robust and fitting didn’t take long. I’ve had it fitted a few months now and all good.
Wall mounted post box
Have not put this product up yet but it certainly looks the part. Gone for the red which is a proper pillar box red.
Excellent value
Delivery as promised. Simple to fit and really looks the part. Early days yet as far as waterproofing goes but there have been a few wet days since fitting and so far no water ingress.

Nice looking and weatherproof. Used my own fixings rather than those supplied but that’s just me. Very pleased and so is the postman. Our dogs not happy!

his survived cold snowy winter and tons of rain and never rusted so this is a great product to buy
We purchased this postbox in order to try to keep heat in the house by blocking off our traditional, draughty, letterbox slot.
The postbox is well made, quite light-weight metal, with a very good paint finish.
It’s not made in Germany, as the brand name and adverts suggest, but is made in the PRC; as stated on the packaging.
A bit fiddly to install, as you need to line up 4 x drill holes, and small rubber grommets, and 4 x screws; and get the whole thing level. . . !
It’s quite narrow, part of the reason we bought it was that it didn’t stick out too far from the wall. The downside of this is that stiffer A4-sized items will need to be carefully bent a bit in order for them to drop down safely. In fairness, the postbox is only designed to take C4 size envelopes, so if you need to take regular A4 deliveries, you need to get a box deeper than the 112mm this one offers. Luckily our postie is great and considerate! 🙂
But if you get the Smol dishwasher tablet monthly delivery, they do not “bend” and end up sticking out the letter flap. . . !
The small keys supplied are a bit stiff in the lock, and the postbox is not really designed as a “secure” postbox, more for monitored domestic use.
All in all, so far; it’s weather-resistant, looks good installed, and seems easier to receive post than our traditional letter flap and “draught proof” brushes, with fewer slightly crumpled envelopes arriving. It has made a noticeable difference in keeping our hall warmer, and therefore our house warmer, which is a real plus point.

i highly recommend this post box, for the price, it does the job. Its easy to install as long as you have a drill or a sds drill. the quality of the box is great and does not seem to rust. would recommend you use your own screws and plugs for extra sturdiness but i do that with any products that are attached to the wall.
Wish I had bought a top loader and not a front loader.
Really lovely unit and good price. Looks lovely up. However, I had a really small parcel delivered the other day (18cm x 10cm x 2.4cm) and the delivery person could only stick it in the opening as it got stuck there and wouldn’t go down. I purposely bought the front loader as I thought it would be more secure but I wish I had went for a top loader now. Lessen learned, now to research a top loader.

Fitted in about 20 mins and works fine, looks good and locks securely.

The quality is good enough, delivery and packing was good ! But I needed it on the inside of the Fence so had not one ray job to cut something out of the back! Recommend only for the outside fixtures !
