Works well on only some cars, but not two of mine.
While it works well on my Silver Volkswagen but it does not on neither my Red 2011 Morgan +4 nor the 1973 Series III Landrover. Interestingly both use identical latch/lock mechanisms with only the outside handles different. Advice: Check that your vehicle has a U shaped catch similar to the one in the photograph.

Essential for many types of use
Absolutely great. In my case I have long term bandages on my legs plus stiff knees. This lets me get out of the car single handed without the backs of my legs touching the sills area. Worth every penny.
A real help for my Dad
This simple but extremely effective tool really helps to give my Dad the support he requires to get in & out of my car. He can be very unstable on his feet and he can be quite heavy when I help him. This extra handle, that so easily clicks into the door, gives both him & me that extra security to ensure his safe transition. It’s very strong. Just be careful you don’t forget you’ve put it in & then try and shut the door! Highly recommended.
Makes life a bit easie
I finally caved in and bought this for getting out of my car. I definitely manage much better with it – I have hip and knee issues and this makes life a little bit easier for me. Very simple to use.

Very easy to use clips into the hoop on the door jam. Has a windscreen breaker and seat belt cutter built in to escape after a crash and a flashlight.
Great seller - item doesn't fit 2016 Ford Fiesta
5* seller. Whilst item wasn’t suitable for our vehicle the proactive comms from seller and resolution process was great.
Really good, sturdy product but metal prong is too fat to fit into the catch on a 2016 Ford fiesta. Had to return.
Does what it says on the tin!
Bought to help my elderly father get out of the passenger seat of my car. Does a good job.
Only concern is that I could easily push my car door shut, forgetting it is there. A fluorescent handle would make it even better!
Easy to use
We regularly take our friend out in our car and she finds getting out of the car difficult. After using this, she can manage by herself quite easily and was so pleased to be independent. It’s easy fo fit and sits nicely in the door pocket. Definitely recommend.

Doesn't fit some modern cars
Purchased to replace one left in car that was stolen. Still an excellent idea, but doesn’t fit properly into newer cars. The stem is about 2mm too thick.
He didn’t want one - now he asks for it!
Dad had a stroke and finds it hard to get in/out of the car. He didn’t want me to waste my money on this .. but now he asks for it to be ready before he starts towards the car!

Excellent grab handle that fits in the door locking staple. Helps my disabled wife get in and out of the car a lot easier. Additional uses like belt cutting and window breaking are a welcome addition for emergencies.

Perfect for my needs, sits in the ‘D’ door lock mechanism ans is a great aid to use for getting myself out of the car, before was a bit of a struggle with only the door handle to use, but now I use both it’s much easier to get out of the car.

Great gadget, slots into the fixed metal door catch of the car providing an easy hand hold to lean on getting out of a car. My 84 year old father has lost mobility and stability and this is great to help him in and out of the passenger seat. We keep one in his car and another in ours.

My wife and I both have hip problems, when my wife’s right hip was replaced it was invaluable to help her her in and out of the car and far cheaper than a crane or pulley and chains. We also bought one for our daughter after her hip surgery.
