Handy monito
It’s very easy to use, it really identified to me how much rebreathed air I have in my house! I’m much more conscious of opening windows now. I thought I was good before. The levels of CO2 build up really quickly, we end up switching it off in the evening, on a cold evening with just the family you’re not going to open the windows to reduce the levels but with guests you really should at this time so I’d leave it on if we had guests in the house for everyone’s sake.
Good device but annoying alarm system
A very useful device to monitor the quality of air in your house or in your work place. It’s a portable device with a built-in 1600mAh rechargeable battery which doesn’t last long because of the constantly on led display.
Doesn’t take long after turning the device on to get the readings.
On display you get CO2 meter, temperature and humidity. Also battery level and comfort level of that room.
This device alert you with a very annoying and constant beep which keeps buzzing until the air level in that room meets the normal degrees. There is no way you can turn that off. In winters when you hardly open windows and doors this device gonna buzz nonstop. Apart from this a very useful device to monitor CO2 level in you house.
At the time of review this product was available for 64.99 plus extra 5% off discount.
Great CO2 monito
This little CO2 monitor is nice and easy to read. It tells you the CO2 levels, the temperature and humidity levels. This can be used with the rechargeable batteries that are inside the device or keep it plugged in. I have been using it in my 3D printing area to keep an eye on the air quality. There’s an alarm that will sound once it gets to 1000ppm it will sound the alarm and show you the reading.
It’s a great little unit and works very well. If you find it at a reasonable price I can recommend it.
A useful indicator for when to ventilate a room
I didn’t really know anything much about optimal carbon dioxide levels until I got this monitor, so I did a bit of reading to understand more about it. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) website has some advice on ventilation for the Covid times we’re now living in. Apparently the level outdoors is typically around 400ppm, and anything under 800ppm indoors would demonstrate a good level of ventilation.
The instructions state that it’s best to allow the monitor to calibrate for a few minutes outdoors before using it. I’ve been doing this and after half an hour or so of the monitor in my lounge have found that my readings are consistently in the 400-600 ppm range when it’s just me in the room. With company this usually rises to around 700 or so. I also tested it overnight in our bedroom, and as expected the levels rose overnight and then fell again once we were in other rooms.
I find that the best readings are obtained when monitoring for a longer period of time, rather than trying to get a snapshot reading after just a few minutes. It is easily doable to use the monitor for longer periods, since it can either operate wirelessly for around 8 hours, or you can plug it in and just use it continuously.
I did wonder if the unit was operating correctly since I had nothing to compare it to, so I breathed quite close to to for 30 seconds. The readings shot up and the alarm / beeping went off to indicate an unacceptable level of C02. I know this isn’t hugely scientific but it made me feel more confident the monitor does actually do what it’s supposed to.
For this reason, the monitor also can’t be expected to be accurate in very small spaces, since it would practically be monitoring individual breathing rates. It’s safe to say if you’re using this for Covid ventilation purposes that you should probably be constantly ventilating small spaces if people have to spend time there together.
I think it’ll be a handy reminder of when to open the windows at Christmas time (assuming all goes well Covid-wise and we’re able to mix with other households). When you’re socialising it’s easy to forget to do these things, but I think the visual reminder and beep / alarm function is useful. It’s also completely objective rather than relying on family members to agree it’s ok to open the window at frequent intervals, and then for someone to actually remember to do it!
The unit itself is relatively small and doesn’t look too bad. It’s just a mirrored surface with the digital display coming through when it’s switched on. It looks better in real life than in the photos. It’s easily portable so if you charged it up you wouldn’t even need the plug and wire, you could just take it out with you in your pocket/bag.
Ideal for managing air quality if you have a lung related health conditio
My daughter has severe asthma, so we need to keep the air quality tiptop in the house, to ensure the best environment for her breathing and to take action when it isn’t. We already have air purification filters to help with the allergen removal to help with air quality, and to keep particulates to a minimum where possible, but have never had a monitor that helps us to be even more proactive. So this little compact device is a really helpful one to have in our house, particularly the rooms that are most used by my daughter.
This is a really easy device to set-up, just plug or charge and go. Bring rechargeable is useful so I can be placed anywhere, but it can also run off the supplied USB charging cable for permanent supply if needed.
The monitor is easy to read and easy to understand, with clear instructions on how to use and what the numbers mean, in particular the CO2 levels, to ensure that they never creep into a dangerous level, or if they do that we are notified by an alarm and can take appropriate action.
At the moment we have this in the lounge, because we also have a gas fire in there so keeping an eye on CO2 levels is very important. The temperature and humidity are also really useful, particularly because we need to ensure the air isn’t too dry.
For 66.99 at the point of review, it’s a bit of an investment, but I feel if a quality is a concern. to you then it’s an investment worth making. You can of course just buy CO2 monitors that will keep an eye on the CO2 levels, but this device gives you much more detail, as well as keeping an eye on temperature and humidity, so really looks at your whole environment.
The device takes a little time to settle down, but once it’s established the readings I find are what I would expect, and it’s also interesting to see the changes throughout the day, as well as when there are more people in the room than usual. Overall a very useful device, that may save your life one day, but mostly will ensure the best air quality you can achieve in your home in an easy way. Highly recommended.
- Small in size, big in informatio
with its bright and vivid display, the monitor is very easy to read, the numbers are vivid against the black.
the displays shows, Co2, carbon monoxide, temperature, and moisture in the room; perfect to check the invisible environment to keep your family safe and comfortable. the co2 is displayed in a traffic light, system; I recommend this.
Pros
– Small in size, big in information
– Vivid display
– USB charging
Cons
– None that i can see
Arrived fully charged out of the box.
Appears to be decent quality.
Seems easy enough to set up.
Is rechargeable and comes with its own USB lead.
Arrived fully charged out of the box.
Nice big LED screen, so reading is easy visible.
Screen has three levels of brightness to choose from.
It is actually quite good.
* Edit –
After using it for longer I can see that this device is actually accurate. I don’t know why, maybe it just needed more time, but now it works very well.
It reacts very quickly when we open the window or we are not in the room.
Initially I gave it two stars, but now I think it deserves the solid 4*.
This carbon dioxide monitor arrived boxed with instruction manual and USB charging cable. Unfortunately manual is poorly written/translated and very basic, so I had to work out some functions myself.
My first impression was very positive – nice, sleek, modern design and compact size.
Monitor looks well made from a good quality, thick shiny plastic.
Display is easy to read, numbers illuminates in white.
I like that the device is rechargable, just a shame that battery life is short 7/8 hours as I would prefer continuous control of air quality.
There is a battery indicator level which is green when device is fully charged and turns to orange when battery is low, but all the time displays three bars.
I’ve calibrated the device outdoor.
Apart from detecting and monitoring CO2 levels, it also measures the temperature and humidity.
It takes it long to measure, when I brought it from outside to my room it took quite a while to display the correct temperature.
Looks nice, but I’m not impressed with its performance to be honest, I’m also not sure if the CO2 measurements are accurate.
It shows normal but red level in my house most of the time raising occasionaly to above 2000. I never had it below 1000 during two weeks I’m using it.
When CO2 level is above 1000 the device activates the alarm which beeps almost all the time with short breaks, it isn’t very loud, but very annoying. Why it beeps if levels are considered as normal…?
I’ve switched that noise OFF as couldn’t stand it, by double pressing the button on the top.
I’ve deactivated the warning sound, so it will not warn me when the levels of CO2 won’t be acceptable.
In my opinion it should start to beep when levels are high not when they’re normal.
I live in my house for over 8 years and never had problems with CO2, so I don’t trust this device.
Well made, good idea, but poorly executed and very expensive.
Easy to use and a clear display
This is easy enough to use.
It came charged and so worked from out of the box.
I left it outside as per the instructions and then brought it inside and left it to settle.
It seems to work fine and the display is clear.
Do I need it? I’m not sure! I misunderstood and thought it was for measuring carbon monoxide but it’s actually for carbon dioxide!
I suppose as pollution is a massive issue it will be useful?
Useful device that alerts you when it’s time to open the windows or put an air purifier or dehumidifier on! It’s also great for monitoring temperature.
It beeps when the air quality could be better. This can be a bit annoying however by tapping the top button twice quickly, you can stop it from beeping constantly if you so wish. Display is clear and crisp and can be dulled or brightened with one click at a time of the top button.
Everything appears accurate, i find in the morning upon coming downstairs where this is kept, the air quality is good. Over time, having spent time together in the room, the air quality changes to normal. We haven’t yet had poor quality thankfully. The device looks nice, takes up very little room and gives some insight into the air we breath.
Compact and modern-looking monito
This unit provides real-time monitoring of carbon dioxide detection, temperature, and humidity, all in such a little display.
The item arrived in good condition. Aside from the air quality detector, the item comes with a USB data cable and a user manual. I like that the device is compact and looked so sleek with its all-white colour. The readings on the monitor are visible and brightness can be adjusted into 3 levels depending on your preference. The function button is located on the top part, while the charging port is located at the back. It has a built-in 1600 milliampere battery that is said to last for 6 to 8 hours and it did. CO2 level, temperature, and humidity are all displayed on the screen. Down at the bottom corner of the screen, the colours green which indicates good safe CO2, yellow for warning, and red indicating that the room has exceeded the standard level of CO2. The alarm beeps when the CO2 reaches over 1000ppm and it can be well heard as it is quite loud.
I think this product has good potential; however I find the stabilization quite long. The readings take about 30 minutes to an hour to stabilize, it would be efficient if stabilization occurred more quickly in about 10 to 15 minutes.
It is really compact and stylish, and humidity wise, the readings are pretty on-point, however, with regards to the level of CO2, I find it somehow inaccurate since the readings always begin around 400ppm and some instances it will be beyond 2000ppm which I find alarming. Also, the alarm seems to be repeatedly beeping and I cannot find a section to turn off this function, so assuming there isn’t one, which is quite annoying.
Overall, the Carbon Dioxide monitor works well, I just wish that for its price it had some added features or other functionality.
Useful and accurate
This tiny monitor tells you the air quality, and humidity level and the CO2 level and the temperature. It’s actually very useful and gives accurate information. I got it for my apartment, after I found that there was high humidity in my apartment. Now I can keep track of the humidity level. The device is very compact and can be placed anywhere in the house. And once charged, it has a really good battery time. It is much better than a traditional alarm clock. As it gives a lot more information and is all in one clock.
Great little monito
This is a small, handy monitor which does a great job and also looks stylish. It’s a lot smaller than I anticipated but that’s a good thing in my opinion. It comes with a usb cable and can work plugged in or off the rechargeable battery. The display is smart and colourful and I really like the mirrored finish. It tells you the carbon dioxide level, temp and humidity, and all seems accurate. I have knocked off one star as the build quality is a tad on the inferior side and for the money I would have expected better, but it’s acceptable.
An excellent carbon dioxide monitor that’s easy to set up and use, it’s rechargeable with its own usb cable, so no worries about batteries and mine arrived fully charged ready to go. It has a nice clear screen and the LED readings are large with 3 levels of brightness. The monitor has an alarm for when the CO2 levels reach over a 1000, under a 1000 is good, 1001 to 2000 is normal, over 2001 is considered poor air quality.
To set it up switch it on and put it outside for a few minutes to allow it to reach an optimal CO2 level from its box, then put in the area you spend most time in your home and leave it to do it’s job of monitoring air quality. It does take a few hours to settle down as you’ll see in my photos but I’m happy to say my home has a low carbon dioxide level in the 400’s which is reassuring. The monitor also has a temperature and humidity display too making a great idea to have at home for the elderly who may not realise temperatures dropping in the home if they have an old fashioned wall thermostat. I’m very happy with this monitor, the rechargeable battery lasts a long time as the monitor switches off it’s screen when not in use, please see my photos, I hope my review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.
Works fine… but for what use?
Firstly, i got this confused with a Carbon Monoxide monitor, which is the safety one you put near boilers. It is a Carbon Dioxide monitor, CO2. Not the manufacturers fault, my mistake. Rechargeable unit displays temp, humidity and CO2 level in parts per million, ppm. It also has an annoying beeper which you can’t disable and a traffic light display for air quality.
The unit works fine, battery will last about a day so you can’t leave it on. However, once i’d played with it a bit, i was left wondering what’s the point? If my air quality is good, i do nothing, if it’s not good, all i can do is open a window. When did you last say “it’s a bit stuffy in here, i’ll open a window” did you need an AQ sensor to tell you that?
Ok to measure air quality at home
This air quality monitor was listed at a fraction under 67 at the time of review, so what do you get for your money to justify that price?
This measures co2 levels in ppm, temperature and humidity. There’s also apparently an alarm if it goes above 1000ppm.
I have devices at home that measure temperature and humidity that cost a fraction of the price, so it seems it’s the co2 measurement that adds the cost. Temperature and humidity seem to be on par with my other professional device reading, however I have no way to test the co2 measurement.
There’s no app or other connection available, so no linking to weather stations. The device is rechargeable, but takes a couple of hours charging to last 6 hours, so best use it plugged in.
This is ok, but don’t expect anything lovely exciting.
This sensor looks modern and stylish. The reflective front screen is really nice and easy to read. Press the button on top of the unit changes the brightness of the display. You can see co2 ppm temperature and humidity. The sensor appears to be very accurate for the humidity and for the temperature compared to my existing sensors. I can’t comment on how accurate the co2 sensor is as I’ve no way of checking but it updates constantly and I can see it changing. Interestingly it shows double the co2 at night when everyone’s home compared when I’m home alone. The unit has a built in rechargeable battery that appears to have a good long lasting working time and comes with a usb cable to charge the battery. A visual indicator comes up on room air quality good/normal/poor which changes green orange red depending on what option is displayed. At 65 this seems an expensive piece of kit however looking at alternative products on the market this appears to be competitively priced and actually looks far nicer than many of the similar priced units for sale.
Great to have but expensive
Living and working in a small old house I wanted to make sure I was getting good ventilation and keeping the house in a good condition. I thought I would try this as a sensor not only for the air quality I was breathing in but the humidity the building had so I could miniseries the damp.
Overall it’s performed well and I’m pleased to see I’m in a healthy environment. The humidity sensor adjusts pretty quickly, the temperature is slower to react but seems accurate. I haven’t been able to get the co2 to change even breathing into the back, but I know it’s adjusted based on concentration over time so I have no reason to doubt it’s correct. It also stays on until it’s turned off.
My only negative is the price, I had hoped for nearly 70 it would connect to an app or have some smart functionality. Currently it’s not great value for money.
