It is a very nice and simple machine which makes very good soft scoop ice cream which you can also freeze for later.

My mother in law loves it, she tried others before but made the ice cream to cold ans dry. This does it the right temperature and density. I recommend i

This was very easy to use since its power only comes from one thing to plug in.
The instructions were very easy to follow for the setup and making ice cream or sorbet however it only came with a few recipes so I suggest you buy a few other recipe books. In addition to this you have to put the container into the freezer before hand for 12 to 6 hours so it is frozen this is what most iced cream makers have anyway around this price range unless you want a marginally more expensive one. In summary I recommend this for gifts or use it make amazing quality ice cream and the design is amazing quality.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersOver the years my brother and sister have both had ice cream machines, and I never thought about it. This year (2020) during lockdown, in the heat I thought it’d be a good idea – after some reading the cuisinart machines seemed to get favourable reviews for the midrange maker.

And wow, these things are incredible. I’m not naive enough to think this is due to either this particular machine, or my ice cream creating prowess, but just the fact that simple ice cream machines can make ice cream waayyyyy better than anything you find in a shop.

I have made quite a few batches of different flavours (raspberry ripple crunch, double chocolate) and they are easily my favourite ice creams ever. Everyone is amazed at the results from the machine and always goes down well! I also managed to make an ice cream that I think surpassed ben and jerrys! (chocolate ice cream with cookie dough, choc chips and marshmallows added in at churning!)

Even if you never really ate much ice cream (I didnt) – this is a game changer!

Won’t repeat what others have said about pre-freezing the bowl etc but having used this throughout the summer for gelatos and ice creams, I have some additional comments. It’s very fiddly to get the finished product out of the bowl – it should come with a dedicated spatula. Even with one there’s a lot of scraping round the edges as the product gets stuck to the outer edge of the bowl. Cleaning up is a bit of a faff! HOWEVER I still love it, my family adore the results and it’s so much healthier if you halve the amount of sugar they recommend. Is it better than the best of store bought? Well they have about 14 ingredients (many if which I don’t recognize) whereas homemade generally has about 4. That’s enough of a reason for me.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersArrived very quickly – a simple product. You need room in the freezer (but can put things inside) Freezes very well and operates quite simply. Ice cream is good – working out how to add flavours!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been making the most amazing flavourful ice-creams with this machine. It’s easy to use and to clean.
It makes approximately half a litre of ice-cream per use. The down side is that you’ve got to wait until the bowl is frozen again to make a second batch of ice-cream; or alternatively, you could buy an extra bowl. To us, this has not been an issue at all; rather than holding the excitement of wanting to make more ice-cream!

    I highly recommend it!

I’ve just received my ice-cream maker and just made a couple of batches of ice-cream, so far I’m really pleased with this product. I had never made ice cream before, and found the instructions clear an easy. The resulting ice-cream is delicious and the texture very creamy.
The only downside of this machine is that a smal portion of the preparation will freeze on the sides of the bowl, but I find it an acceptable loss.
Contrary to any review I have seen about any freeze-ahead machine, I have easily managed to make 2 batches in one day, and I’m pretty sure I could make a third if I wanted to. I’ve just froze the bowl 24h for the 1st batch, then cleaned it quickly with water just warm enough to melt the remaining ice-cream, dried it with a towel and put it back in the freezer for another 5h before making the second batch. Worked like a charm!

    Would highly recommend.

I am really happy with this dessert maker and it is definitely worth the money. I have decided to keep the bowl in the freezer all the time, which gets around forgetting to do this in advance. Although the bowl takes up space, it is perfect to squash a bag of frozen peas into!!
It feels well made and is easy to clean. Once I got the hang of putting together the fruit paddle it was very easy to use.
It makes lovely ice cream with no fuss and super quickly as it is so simple to use. I have also recently made a couple of delicious fresh fruit sorbets using the fruit paddle, with great results. It really works with soft summer fruits. Overall a very good machine.

This is a beautiful ice-cream maker. There is a bit of prep involved but the results are amazing. We tried the honeycomb recipe and I can honestly say it is the most delicious ice-cream I’ve tried. Once all the ingredients are ready to put into the machine it only takes 20 minutes to make a soft ice-cream dessert. This would be a show stopper for a dinner party but we simply loaded up our favorourite cones. We managed to save some to store in the freezer and its also delicious. It’s an instant hit with the family and nice to know we’re using real, healthy ingredients without any additives etc. and the taste is superior even to our very favourite local ice-cream shop!

The bowl needs 24 hours of freezing before using so we now keep it there all the time, ready for it’s next usage. The other parts were really easy to wash and put away with the machine. Very happy with this ice-cream maker and can’t wait to try more recipes given in the manual, plus make up a few of our own.

I got this dessert maker because I didn’t want my children eating ice lollies and synthetic ice creams loaded full of e-numbers and chemicals that send them loopy. Also our local (takeaway) real Italian ice cream shop (which is delicious) charges 2.50 for one small scoop! I thought it would be fun during lockdown to make lots of different types of ice cream, sorbet and desserts together with my kids and it’s been a very fun way to spend the time together. This dessert maker comes with a super-helpful and easy-peasy recipe book that guides you through using it in simple steps with some yummy sorbet and ice cream recipes – the gin and tonic sorbet is beyond but, maybe not one for the kids 🙂 . The one thing I would say is that you need to freeze the dessert bowl overnight before you use it so make sure you factor that timing in when you want to start dessert making. I can’t wait to show-off by making homemade desserts to serve to our house guests – when they’re allowed!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs noted by other reviewers here already, this product sits in a somewhat grey area of what it can and can’t do, and the value of what you’re paying for.

In general, it does what it suggests just fine. It can make ice cream, yoghurt etc. easily and in a pretty fast fashion. Two different types of paddle allow for the preparation of the items just mentioned, or blending soft fruits. Easy to add ingredients on the fly. All easy to clean, and with a clean attractive design, would like just fine in any kitchen.

The issue you have outside of that is that the bowl needs pre-freezing, and the suggestion is to pre-freeze ingredients as well…so you’re paying a fair chunk of change for a machine that doesn’t do what previous ice cream machines could do just fine!

Like I say, it does do what it says, but in reality most people who want an ice cream machine are likely to go elsewhere and save on the hassle, even if it costs a bit more.

a little bigger than I expected initially but still a decent compact size for an ice cream maker. A bit frustrating that you have to freeze the barrel overnight to be able to use it meaning you cant just have spontaneous ice cream whenever you want if you don’t have the freezer space to keep it in constantly, if you do have a bigger freezer though then this shouldn’t be an issue.
I tested it out making frozen yoghurt, and it was frozen in less than 20 minutes which was great! However what I did find was there was a lot that was frozen on to the insides of the container – so much so you weren’t able to scrape it off and it wasted a good bit of yoghurt. Had to wait for the whole thing to defrost to be able to clean it properly! This may have been a fault on my part though- and I’m sure with practice, knowing the right amounts to put in/how long to put it in for this may reduce. Not too noisy when operating and very simple to use! Overall fairly happy with the product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had a cheap ice cream maker that was never very robust and ended up breaking with the flimsy paddle no longer working. I was thrilled to be able to try this machine. It immediately looks robust and well made.

It’s easy to use: pop the bowl in the freezer for at least 8 hours, but preferably overnight. Assemble your ingredients. Get the frozen mixing bowl, and put it into the ice cream maker with the paddle and lid in place. Switch on and gradually introduce the ingredients. In about 25 minutes you have creamy ice cream.

I make an easy banana ice cream: chuck in double cream, mashed banana (or blitz it in a blended if you want it very smooth), add a bit of honey. Easy ice cream without any nasty artificial ingredients and very tasty too!

The bowl and paddle is easy to clean in warm soapy water. As soon as it’s clean I always pop it back in the freezer, even before it thaws out. Then it is always ready when I want to use it again.

The pistachio colour is nice, it is a nice looking machine to have out on the counter.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk, yes, this ice cream maker is a bit fiddly to use.

    Freezing the bowl first.
Mixing the ingredients in a separate bowl. ( more washing up )

    But the results are good.

If you can put up with the preparation and washing up, then this is a cool machine.
And with only a small footprint to.

The ice cream aint bad either.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSo a while back i bought an ice cream machine from amazon. It was a cheap one for about 30. i was happy with it and it made some ice cream well. But this one is so much more. First thing to note is that it makes more ice cream. The other machine was much smaller in volume. There is also the benefit of having the machine churning mechanism at the bottom of the machine in a cog like fashion. The other ice cream machine i own the churner is powered from the top and it’s super awkward and really annoying. Often spinning around and winding up the cable. There is none of that with this machine. Its just a better quality machine in its entirety. Putting it all together was a breeze and there is a good size hole in the top to make sure you can add ingredients while you churn.
What flavour ice cream did i make i hear you wonder. It was coconut macaroon ice cream and its a sensation.
