This is absolutely the best coffee maker out there. Plenty of capsules to choose from too. We found the cheaper capsules may leak but if you can put up with the little bit of water that comes out its worth it. Coffee is good and hot not something I’ve found with other coffee machines. Good froth which is lovely definately a hug in a mug!!

Really enjoying this coffee machine so far. It’s the first one I’ve owned so no comparison between others but have been impressed by the ease of use and coffee taste.

Super easy to clean and empty the capsules after use – the tray opens from the front where as some you have to fiddle around the back to extract. Milk container detaches easily and sits in the door of a fridge between uses.

The only thing I can think might be an issue for some is the small size of the water container. Not an issue for me as I only use it for myself but a family would need to full it regularly – after 4 or 5 coffees. It’s a 30 second job though and I can see the logic of it being smallish with the machine aiming to be compact.

I also use the plastic free Roar and Gill capsules which make great coffee and are better for the environme

This machine is very easy to use and makes a fabulous latte. I use oat milk which makes it taste creamier.
At the press of a button the machine can be cleaned. I’ve just started up using Amazon compatible pods with the machine and they work a treat and great taste too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this machine some time ago from the Amazon Warehouse, for 96, and it turned out to be in perfect condition with just a slight dent to the box – obviously, I was very pleased about the saving!

The machine is easy to use; Remove the water container from the back by lifting up, then fill and replace. Lift up the lever on the top and insert a pod, push down the lever and turn the machine on. The available drinks will light up – if you don’t already have the milk frother connected then you will only be able to select the top two drinks which are Espresso and Lungo. If you connect the milk frother by slotting it into the right-hand-side of the machine, then you can also select from Capuccino, Latte, Latte Macchiato and Frothed Milk.
Once you have selected a drink, it will automatically begin to heat the water and / or milk before dispensing. In total it should take a minute or less for most drinks.

The milk frother produces excellent tasting milky drinks, and also allows you to customise the amount of milk dispensed by changing a dial on the top. I always use small cups and the smallest milk setting will just about fill my cup with a Capuccino without overflowing.

You do have the option to customise the amount of water it dispenses for each drink, to change the size of your espresso or lungo. I have done this a couple of times but it is difficult to remember how to do this, but Googling how to do it brings up plenty of results (it is also mentioned in the manual).

To clean, the pod capture compartment is removable, as well as the drip tray. The milk frother has several components which can be removed by twisting, and the water container easily pulls out. All of these components can be cleaned in a dishwasher, but for the rest of the machine I would suggest an antibacterial wipe.

Because the internal components are quite small it will suffer from limescale, even if you filter your water. In the last nine months I have descaled it twice, so I would say you should expect to descale every 4-5 months if it is used around five times per day. This is easy enough to do and just requires you to lift a flap at the front under the milk frother, which reveals a removable pipe which fits into the milk frother outlet. This then enables the Descale function, where you will need to situate bowls over the spouts at the front to capture the descaled water, after adding acid into the water tank.

Be careful after descaling, as I once had a very acidic Capuccino after not running water through it to clear out the descaling fluid.

All in all I am extremely happy with my purchase, especially as it produces far nicer drinks than my employer’s 2,000 coffee machine (and I’ve been working from home all this time). If you love Nespresso, I think this would be a fantastic purchase even at full price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy wife and I are very impressed with the product, great coffee every time, even the first ones we both had, easy to operate, we purchassed the Delonghi latte glasses to go with the machine, no milk splashing, no mess.
My wife only uses one pod for two coffees as we both like no to strong, my wife has purchased coffee from all supermarkets, they are all good, we like the nos 4 to 6
Great froth from the milk part of the machine, all in all great value for the money

This coffee machine is fantastic, but the only downsides to it is that the coffee isn’t boiling, it’s just drinkable.

It’s a little annoying to clean and it drips after use for a while so you need to replace it with a cup quickly.

The milk frothed works very well, and it does have a self cleaning tool which is useful.

The instructions could be improved as they are quite confusing.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrought to replace a broken coffee lesser pod m/c brought while on offer. I was glad that I chose to get one with the integrated milk frother rather than a stand alone as this makes coffee making a doddle. The flavour and range of coffee far surpasses other main stream pods. A nice echo friendly touch is they supply and collect free of charge recycling bags for the aluminium pods

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had my eye on this for a while so decided to take the plunge when it was on offer, still pretty expensive but cheap compared to other similar ones.

The machine is well built and fairly easy to assemble once you get your head around it, I’ve had this for a few months now and I hardly have to think about removing the water tank/milk container and cleaning them.

The guide included has everything in there to get you started, although a little confusing at times.

I’m clued up on gadgets but this took me a few hours to get my head around the different modes and settings, if I have any advice I’d say take your time and once followed the starting procedure through then just experiment one mode at a time and it will slot into place. Also if starting out it can be confusing getting the volumes right for the mug size…. there are customisable settings for each type of mode that you can play about with also for you do get a larger size, but be careful as in the instructions it mentions about leaving the heating element cool down between the lungo mode.

The milk frother works well from low froth to heavy froth.

There’s a few bits that need removing every time you clean the milk container but once you’ve done it a few times it’s not so bad, I wash them in sink bowl not in the dishwasher although it says you can in the instructions.

Overall I’m really happy with the machine, lots of settings and coffee types, I don’t think you’ll get bored but don’t expect coffee shop sizes, one way I have started to use the machine is by having an espresso 40ml shot then topping up with hot water from the kettle then using the milk frother.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI initially had my on one of the expensive Sage Espresso machines but couldn’t bring myself to deal with the faff of grinding, brewing, cleaning, & heading off to buy freshly roasted beans every few days (as apparently supermarket stuff doesn’t cut it & freshly roasted beans have nicer oils which makes for better coffee).. oh & spending 550 on a coffee machine.. So, this machine in the Black Friday sale at 154 caught my eye.

Pros: stylish & fits in well with the kitchen, quick to heat, minimal cleaning required, options for types of coffee (milky/non milky), easy to detach & store milk jug… & it makes hot, steamy coffee (it isn’t tongue burning hot, but a nice ready to drink temp, like a normal kettle cup that’s been cooling down for a 5 mins).

Cons: portion sizes aren’t what we’d consider normal.. I appreciate the Italians may drink them in smaller portions but here in the UK, we like our money’s worth & more respectable sizes. Also, the water tank is only 0.9l so you’ll find yourself refilling it every 2-3 coffees.

The machine has the ability for portions to be re-programmed (really easy, basically hold down a button such as cappuccino & release when happy with the volume decanted), so getting a semi-decent sized cup of coffee is still do-able. The Lungo size can be programmed up to 200ml I believe, but just bear in mind that the pods don’t hold masses of granules so if you try to double up on a cup it will water down.. Basically don’t expect to fill a Sports Direct sized mug with this machine.

The milk frother is cool; I only need it on the lowest setting though. Quick & easy cleaning process after each milk use.

Best of all, I took a gamble & ordered 100 of the Amazon’s own Nespresso compatible Lungo pods (strength 4) for 9.99. Not disappointed at all; great flavour & work well in the machine.

Overall, very satisfied & a nicer, richer flavour, & experience to have these during the working day but I still have the usual kettle boiled Nescafe Azera Americano first thing in a morning.

Love love love. This machine is incredible.

Far more convinent that the stand alone aero chino, this machine takes away the hassle of making a coffee and allows you to focus on enjoying it. The milk frother provides total control over how frothy you want the coffee.

Even more important is the ease of cleaning. Click the clean button and 10 seconds later it is done. No need to mess around with washing up liquid and a sponge every time you want to have a milky coffee.

The only minor drawback is for people in homes with varying types of milk (dairy, almond, oat).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOpened the box as soon as I got it. It looks cute. Perfect size. Was considering cancelling the order and buying another brand as this one uses capsules only. But found out there was no much difference. As I used to buy Costa coffee almost every day, I bought some Costa capsules before receiving the machine just to taste the difference. I think it will save me a lot as the taste is almost same. The milk froth is thick and nice. The downsides are, it wasnt as described white colour. It is more grey than white. I prefer white to match my kitchen colour. This is not a big issue. The setting seems a bit complicated. Need to refer to the manual all the time. But it’s ok if you get everything preset. I am trying coffee capsules of all varieties now. It’s a great fun.

You can either go with the default quantity or program your own, which I did, and it’s so easy to do. Can use Nespresso capsules or any other brand or if you want to use your own coffee blend, as I do, just get a reusable capsule. Absolutely best machine in it’s category

The machine works very well, simple to use, easy to clean. Absolutely no issue with the machine itself.
I would have preferred the option of a larger capacity pod in order to make a larger cup of coffee. The Lungo pods are set to release a max of 150ml of water, yes you can add more water, but that obviously reduces the flavour. 150ml hardly touch the sides of my coffee mug, yes you can put another pod in but that kind of defeats the object of having the machine if you have duplicate the process. The next machine up does do a larger cup, maybe with hindsight I should have purchased that one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe taste of coffee is much better than dolce Gousto and comparable to tassimo.

The frother on this is amazing as you can see from the photo. Makes coffee feel like it’s from Starbucks.

    Cons:

Bought as a second machine for another room. We absolutely love the coffee machine. It couldn’t be easier to enjoy a fantastic coffee whatever your preference with no hassle of heating milk or cleaning out milk frother machines.

We’ve had the same machine for 2 year prior to buying this extra one and have been delighted from day one. You can also buy Compatible pods from Amazon which will save you a small fortune and taste just as amazing as the Nespresso ones in my opinion.

So far so great! I had previously owned one of the Bosch machines but the amount of plastic waste from them was just overwhelming and their flavoured coffees have same levels of sugar as a coke.

This machine (although more expensive) tastes just as good as star bucks or Costa but at home.

It’s a fairly simple set up taking me less then 5 minutes from arrival to coffee and the coffee I must say, is exceptional.

It will take a bit of tinkering but overall, I’m well satisfied.

Also, Nespresso offer a door collection or collect plus drop off to recycle the many cartridges you go through so kudos for that.

Great coffee and even better when the pods are recycled

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHonestly this machine has been a god send and worked fine for many months now. The milk frother I feel people do not understand how they work and fault everything or they were unlucky, but I’ve had relatives work in coffee shops and even professional ones spit the milk as it’s going through, as long as the cup is where it should be it doesn’t go anywhere else.

My only issue is I’m not sure I would ever pay the current price and feel privileged to have paid 210.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersReceived this yesterday and after doing all the cleaning and set up we today made some cups of coffee.

We used the India and the decaffeinated ristretto blends to make 2 creamy lattes. Both coffees tasted great and look forward to trying all the flavours and different settings.
Although when you set the milk froth to max, there is a lot of froth:)

The coffee ‘styles’ this machine is capable of is
    Lungo
    Espresso
    Cappuccino
    Creamy latte
    Latte maccihati
    & hot milk.

    The 2 negatives so far
1, temperature of coffee isnt HOT hot, more of a Immediately drinkable temperature, which will take some time getting used to.

2, Calling this a black model and the accompanying picture is misleading, it is grey.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove this machine. Great coffee, so easy to use and clean and can use fresh milk. Only gripe is the milk could be heated a little hotter. Easy to descale too – no faffing. We spend around 50/month on coffee pods which sounds a lot but we used to spend half that each week or more in Costa and now we barely drink coffee out as it just doesn’t taste as good. We live in a hard water area, drink over 6 cups a day and have to descale roughly every 3 months which seems reasonable. Put a capsule in, press the button, done. Very quick to heat up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI enjoy my De’Longhi Lattissima Touch coffee machine. compatible with Nespresso pods.

It is pretty straightforward to set up and has different options for if you want an espresso or lungo coffee. It comes with 20 free Nespresso pods too, for you to try different caffeinated and decaffeinated coffees or varying strengths.

The machine turns on reasonably quickly, within about 15 seconds, and is pretty quick at making the coffee. The temperature is hot but not piping hot.

The detachable milk unit is good in theory, enabling you to make frothy coffees like lattes. However, it disassembles into 6 parts and has to be washed after each use, preferably in a dishwasher, which makes it a pain.

It’s easy enough to adjust the settings for your coffee cup – simply hold your finger on the button.

Overall, it’s a good coffee machine and looks stylish, and will make good frothy milky drinks, just beware of the clean up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe machine is reasonable compact and is very easy to use. You simply put water in the rear container, milk in the frothing container at the side and a pod in the holder and press the button and you have a cappuccino almost instantly.
You can either use Nespresso pods or similar ones from Aldi or Tesco. Then only faff is that the milk container consist of a number of bits including a tube and a pipe and you need to soak the various bits for about half an hour on a regular basis to ensure no contamination from the milk. This is the second machine in the family and they are both used several times a day.

We’had a few Nespresso machines and are huge fans of the format – this one is by far and away the best . I love boring black (ok Americano) coffee whereas my wife the various fluffy white ones .. This does them all and when we use our favourite 12 strength D’Or pods an excellent coffee all round ..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to assemble and disassemble. All the milk container parts detach easily and fit in the dishwasher. The menu system is slightly more complicated than an electronic display menu as you have to press different combinations of buttons but it doesn’t take long using the instruction manual initially. The selection buttons are touch sensitive. Really pleased with it, the coffee is amazing!

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersLove my machine as I’m a cappuchino & latte a’holic. Am only using metal pods as they can be recycled. I find it easy to clean ……. as long as I remember to put the milk container in the fridge 🙂 2 small gripes that don’t put me off using it are: 1.) even on the lowest setting it produces more foam than I’d like and 2.) the milk could be a little hotter, but then looking at the reviews of other machines that do milky coffees, it’s a common gripe. All in all, love it.

Extremely pleased with this machine, ideal for the amount of coffee that I drink. Flexible in that you can stop and start process at a touch of the button to enable you to add an additional shot of coffee to cappuccino or latte, if you prefer it stronger. Extremely easy to clean parts when finished.

This Nespresso machine has been used daily since it came into our house. We are so pleased with it that out previous dolce gusto machine has been given away to friends. It is easy to use – just plug in check out the straightforward instructions and away you go. No assembly required. It is compact so doesn’t take up too much worktop space. It makes expressos, lattes, cappuccinos and americanos. The range of coffee pods is astounding with our favourites being the India and Dharkan blends. Makes coffee as good as any coffee shop barista this side of Milan. Recommended.

I’ve switched from 2 different delonghi bean to cup espresso machines. This is possibly better in ease and flavour. It’s probably twice the cost per cup of coffee but the results are consistent and enjoyable. We use the starbucks pods or supermarket brands.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThe ease of use, the looks and how compact it is makes it a must buy! The coffee capsules you can get Nespresso Compatible are cheap as if you shop about on Amazon you can get 100 for as little as 9 and when the coffee is made its hot unlike other coffee capsule machines. Don’t hesitate but buy this machine.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic upgrade from my previous Nespresso machine. It seems to be more powerful and the coffee somehow seems to taste better, although perhaps that is just psychological. It is easy to use and clean, easy to refill, and good at self-cleaning. I like the option for different sized coffee as my last machine just produced espresso shots and nothing else, so this is a big bonus as far as I’m concerned. The machine itself is solid and sturdy and will undoubtedly last a long time.

If you’ve ever used a Nespresso coffee machine you’ll more or less know what to expect here, though it’s a bit sleeker and has a few more functions that some of the earlier machines. If you’ve not used Nespresso before, it’s a pod-based coffee system that keeps each cup’s worth of coffee sealed in its own pod, meaning that it stays fresh for a long time.

It’s also a very simple process that creates very little mess – this unit comes with its own self-cleaning system that runs water through to clear out any dried-on bits of coffee.

In addition to the main coffee function it also contains a milk frother, which can easily be detached and put in the fridge if necessary, and the amount of froth can be adjusted if necessary.

It’s a highly compact unit, and looks great on a kitchen work surface. One thing to note is that it comes with quite a short kettle lead that is moulded to the unit – this is a good thing if you have a plug within easy reach, but if you have an office or somewhere else where it’s not within easy reach of a plug socket you will probably need to use an extender.

The unit also comes with a trial selection of coffee pods, which is a great way to try a whole range of new flavours. Whether you’re new to Nespresso or looking to upgrade an old machine, it’s a great product that is easy to use and makes a lovely cup of coffee.

    Easy to use, great coffee

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood things about the De’Longhi Lattissima Touch-EN560.S:
    Heats up quickly.
The machine is well packaged and not oversize. Will fit nicely in smaller kitchens.
A high quality product that is well designed with internal drip trays and bins.
    Adjustable for two cup sizes.
Excellent for Espresso and Americano but really comes into its own when making milk based drinks, capachino , latte, and machiato.
Detachable milk storage tank can be removed and stored in the fridge when not in use (so not all milk is needed to be used up each time).
Used pods stored internally (holds up to 10 used pods before requiring emptying
Quieter than other cheaper nesspresso machines (previously owned NESPRESSO by Krups Inissia XN100540 Coffee Machine)
probably the best alternative to a bean to cup machine, as there is minimum mess compared to a typical machine using ground coffee.

Less good things about the De’Longhi Lattissima Touch-EN560.S:
    Expensive for a pod machine
Limited to Nesspresso / nesspresso compatible pods which are typically more expensive.

    Overall I love it.

Had this for 6 weeks and have no complaints. Have had multiple Tassimo machines but this is much better. Regularly drink cappuccino and Latte, so the combination of milk frother is perfect. Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have now been the owner of a Nespresso Lattissima Touch Coffee Machine for just a few weeks and as someone new to the world of coffee machines I am very happy with its performance and ease of use.

The machine arrived very well packaged and is supplied with a trial sample box of Nespresso capsules.

The easiest part of the set up (but the hardest to decipher) was the Water Hardness Sticker, as none of the boxes turned very red/or stayed red. However, I am aware that we live in a particularly hard water area so plumped for the next to highest setting on the machine.

Useful tip: Make sure that you fully read the accompanying instruction leaflet before attempting to use the machine as the Water Hardness instructions do not appear until page 26!

All instructions are easily followed, although as mentioned above I did not find the leaflet to be in an easy to follow, logical order but this is a very minor issue.

I love the ease of use as a variety of coffees are literally ready at the touch of a button. Cappuccino and Lattes using the milk frother have been my favourite drinks of choice. I am particularly pleased with the temperature of the coffee as I do prefer my drinks hot rather than just warm.

The milk frother can also be used to heat milk for hot chocolate or simply a cup of hot milk.

At the moment I do not have any proper Nespresso Cappuccino or Latte cups and finding a cup the right size can be testing. Just be ready for any overspill if you misjudge the right cup to use.

The machine has a ‘clean’ button which you need to press after each hot milk service – and this shoots steam through the pipe to keep it clean and unblocked between servings.

Cleaning the machine is very easy and simple to do. The Milk Frother easily comes to pieces (see attached photographs) and is dishwasher proof, but can be washed equally well by hand.

I thoroughly recommend this coffee machine and have now ordered a supply of my favourite capsule types and have also treated myself to some Nespresso cups.

Absolutely delighted with this De'Longhi Lattissima Coffee Machine!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere are a lot of positives with this De’Longhi Lattissima Touch, not only does it look nice it makes great coffee with or without milk at the touch of a button and also be used for just hot milk.
Pre-programmed settings offer Espresso 40ml, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Lungo 110ml, Latte and Hot milk all at the touch of a button and all of these can also adjusted to suit personal preference. If you want to change the amount of water or milk in a particular drink you can change it, you can also reset them back to default quantities if you change your mind. The density of the froth can also be easily adjusted by a dial on the milk container.
The .35l milk container can be removed from the machine and placed in the fridge between uses to keep it fresh.
The instruction booklet is well laid out giving clear instructions for setting up and ongoing maintenance to keep your machine in good working order.
I find it really easy to use, easy to clean and it heats up very quickly. It comes with a selection of 14 different Nespresso capsules to try. The other good thing about this machine is most supermarkets also stock a large variety of capsules that are compatible at a reasonable price so there is plenty of choice.
In summary this machine makes excellent coffee, is easy to use and gives you a good choice of options, especially if you like milky drinks.

This is very very good, nice and compact machine and makes most excellent coffee, at the touch of a button now. It was fairly easy to set up with the instructions, which were definitely needed just to work out which button is what and then program it to our tastes. Now we just press the relevant button and we don’t even need to watch it.

It even came with a good selection of coffees to try which were all very pleasing and it is so easy to clean with a cloth and a drawer for the pods. The milk and the water caddies come away from the main body so you can keep them very clean.

It does not stop at coffee as you can get some impressive frothy milk on top of a hot chocolate so quite versatile.
Nothing really to find fault with – good design, robust and not unattractive in its boxy kind of way.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have a white glossy kitchen and although this machine comes in a soft white with silver, it goes perfectly and because it is quite compact being only about 6.5 inches wide and just over 12 inches in length it is ideal for my small kitchen. For at least 10 years I have used a Nespresso coffee machine which did not have the added function of milk dispensing so I was eager to try this model to see how easy it was to use. A friend has an older machine with this facility and it is so cumbersome he hardly uses it. What a difference, this machine is.

At first, I did not read the instructions. Big mistake. I urge everyone to read it not because the machine is complicated but because it is not obvious at first what the buttons are for. I have actually printed out 3 sheets and laminated them having labelled the coffee choices so that anyone in the house can use the machine if I am not there. I did find the machine buttons which you press depending on whether you want Expresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Macchiato, Lungo, Creamy Latte and lastly Warm Milk Froth not clearly marked on the machine just a diagram which depending on the light quite difficult to see being on a silver coating so my printouts are very useful. I If you want your cappuccino with more froth just turn the milk froth regulator knob.

After using the machine with the milk function, a warning light comes on alerting you to the fact that the machine needs cleaning. Very easy to do — just eject the last used coffee capsule and press the clean button making sure you have a cup underneath the milk container and it takes seconds. You can also program the machine to give you a greater amount of coffee than the default setting or for quickness just press the same button again. The milk container is an ideal size so any leftover milk can be stored easily in the fridge. The milk system is very easy to clean.

The machine comes with a starter pack of Nespresso capsules and just so easy to use, just pop one into the machine and press the button you want, simple as that. You can fit either a small cup or large mug under the spout. There is a big choice of strength on the Nespresso uk website at a reasonable price. There is also a good choice of decaffeinated capsules. When ordering from the site, it would be wise to put on your list a Nespresso descaling kit as the machine will have to be descaled at some time in the future. Once again, a light alerts you to this. The machine will also take Nespresso compatible capsules which are widely available.

Anyone thinking of buying a coffee machine should put this one at the top of their list. I have given it 5 stars as simple to use and clean; heats up quickly dispensing hot coffee/milk, looks good; great choice of Nespresso capsules with beautiful coffee; compact and a quality build. I can’t fault — it is absolutely brilliant. I am now addicted to cappuccinos!

This is an excellent Nespresso coffee machine, which comes with the fully automated milk dispenser, which works in tandem with the coffee functions on the machine and so everything works as programmed.

Everything is easy to slot together. As the instructions say, you should rinse everything with plenty of water before first use, and put a few cycles of water through the machine.

What I like is the consistency of the machine. You set it up with the water hardness level (a supplied measuring strip does this for you) and then programme the coffee volumes to your preference — if you wish — and then from there what I admire is the consistency of the output.

The buttons on the top of are the controls and everything works at the slight touch of them. There is also a way to get just hot milk, so that’s great, too, say for hot chocolate.

This is a very well made machine., It is also fairly compact given its functionality. It also looks really smart.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe believe this is the single best machine of its type on the market.
You have a whole bunch of options, and break down to ready grounded, bean to cup and capsules (of some description).
The Nespresso system is simple, stick in a foil (or from others plastic) capsule and coffee is on the way. It is a cheap to buy machine and the result is very good indeed. This machine goes further than most machines as it delivers hot, frothy milk options in a way that is entriely cappuccino or latte friendly. Moreover you can programme it to deliver your coffee your way – most important. It is easy to clean, descale and the components are dishwasher proof, so cleaning the milky bits – a doddle.

Read the instructions and this will bring you a favourite cup of coffee again and again and again. At the price point this is an absolute steal and this is our 3rd machine of this type, we bought one for family and now have one for home office as well as kitchen – all the SAME machine – it is that good. The only downside – the cost of Nespresso capsules. We were spending 60 a month on capsules to start and then realised (rather slowly) that others were making compatible capsules. Amazon themselves have their versions, some of them very good, but we went to which magazine for a steer and I detour from our regular supermarket to Aldi to buy their Ristretto capsules that are blindingly good – please check them out as these must go on forever. My only preferred cuppa is a costa from Covent Garden, other than that, this machine is perfection and at the cost of capsules from ALDI a very cost efficient little machine too. For as long as capsules are available from Aldi at their prices this is a 5 star. FYI I nearly spent 1000 on a Miele bean to cup, and following reviews thought I would “try this” as a grand is a wad of cash. I have not looked back, and I am a real coffee perfectionist. Nespresso, Amazon, Aldi and many others will all get you to coffee heaven. This machine is the vehicle – enjoy!!

It’s quite a compact design and comes endorsed to work with Nespresso products. This has all the usual functions you’d expect on a modern Nespresso coffee maker – Simple to use and it makes excellent coffee. Stylish appearance too. Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersAfter having a couple of cheaper machines we decided to get an upgrade, well worth the money. The machine was not brand new from amazon market but when arrived the box was tatty but the machine looked brand new, never been used so saved over 100. The machine is quiet, looks great and makes a great coffee. The added feature of milk is something that we like too, although the machine doesn’t heat the milk up enough, this could be remedied by using warm milk. You do have to set the machine up for your cup sizes but it’s really simple to do and once done you get a perfect coffee every time. Cleaning the milk section is the only slight downside but we are really being picky, it’s a great machine.

Golden Review Award: 80 From Our Users*** Overview ***
This is a great machine for those who want coffee drinks with real milk, but without a lot of faff.
It is low-maintenance, and seems fairly sophisticated. It makes all the usual milk and non-milk drinks, like espresso, cappucino (foamed milk) and cafe latte (more milk, unfoamed). The selection is straightforward (there are six buttons, one per drink), and if you find your cup is too small you can abort the drink by pressing the button again.
Also, if you want more milk (or just want to make a hot milk drink with no coffee), there is a button for that, press it and it will provide hot milk until you press it again.

    *** Highlights ***
For me, the three key highlights are:
    * Makes milk and non-milk drinks
    * Very small! about the width of a 2-slice toaster
    * Easy to clean; no scrubbing!

*** How does it work? ***
The main body of the machine has a removable water container at the back, for tap water but I use volvic. The reservoir holds enough water for perhaps half a dozen drinks.
The coffee cup is placed in front (there is a slideable platform for shorter cups) and you insert the coffee capsule at the top. When you close the lever, it pierces the capsule. Press a button and the water is heated and forced through the capsule, and voila!
For milk drinks like cappucino, then the supplied milk reservoir system is connected to the front body of the machine. When unused, it can be disconnected and placed in the fridge, to keep the milk fresh. More detail on the milk reservoir system mechanics below, under the ‘Cleaning’ heading.

    *** Programming ***
There is no display, just button and alert LEDs, so initial setup stuff (like volumes of drinks, water hardness, and power-off options) is all set up using button combinations and observing the LEDs. It’s not as nice as a real display, but thankfully you’ll only need to do it once.

    *** Performance ***
The machine initializes and heats up rapidly – far quicker than the time it takes me to fetch the cups and put some sugar in them. During operation it makes some noise, but not excessively loud.
Froth level is adjustable. The drinks come out hot, and it does a great job with setting the milk texture automatically for cappucino versus latte. I get fantastic-looking drinks out of this machine – presentation is half of the drink!
And they taste great too – I’m still discovering my favourites.
No-one here refuses a coffee any more – goodbye instant coffee from Tesco.
I deliberately went for this EN560 machine rather than the older similar-ish EN550, so that performance/reliability should not optimized – I don’t like going for a revision 1 machine!

    *** Cleaning ***
I’ve had several Nespresso machines in the past, including the ones with a separate milk frother. I always felt those machines were a faff, because it needed the warm milk washing out, and the stirrer inside would get milky and hard to clean too – yuk.
With this De’Longhi machine, it’s so much better. The separate milk container system can be unplugged from the main body of the machine, and stored in the fridge! The milk does NOT get heated in the container, so no need to throw away unused milk.. just leave the container in the fridge, and make another coffee whenever you want to.
From what I can tell, the way the milk system works, is that the main body of the machine forces very hot water vapour, under pressure, into the top portion of the detachable milk system through a nozzle. The pressure causes milk to get sucked up through a tube, and it then rapidly gets hot due to the vapour heat, and gets pushed through the egress tube and into the coffee cup. This means that the only components that touch milk, are the milk container system. The main body of the machine doesn’t need milk cleaning.

If you have a dishwasher, then the milk container system need cleaning every couple of days. I didn’t want to use the dishwasher, so in that case a manual clean is needed every day. The nice thing is, it’s really easy. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and no scrubbing to remove hot milk either!

All that needs to be done, is to disassemble the milk reservoir components (into the milk container, the tube and nozzle, and knob all separate easily), rinse under tap water briefly, and then chuck into a tank with warm water with a bit of fairy liquid mixed. Leave that for half an hour, and then remove, rinse and dry. Even for a guy, that is not a faff at all.

Annoyingly no tank is supplied for the cleaning. However, this one (small, 102x292x89mm) works great (see the photo) and costs just 5.99:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004D8YYSE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is worth getting that tank, because it is also useful for any future descaling.

    *** Descaling ***
I’ve not needed to descale so far. The machine will automatically alert when that is needed. I’m in a hard water area (a hardness test strip is supplied with the machine) however I don’t trust Thames Water quality and so I just use Volvic.. that is soft, so descaling will be extremely infrequent. You’ll need a descaling kit from nespresso’s website (it is silly that Amazon won’t allow me to provide a link for that) for that. The descaling should be infrequent, so I won’t be buying the descaling kit until I need it.

    *** Cups! ***
Not that it’s important, any cups will do.. I’m using these double-walled cups..
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00076ZD22/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

they don’t necessarily keep the drink warm much longer (a lid would be far more effective than a double wall) but at least they keep the hands cool.

    *** Summary ***
I’m really happy with this purchase. The machine seems reliable, well-built, I’m expecting many years of good service.
I’m very pleased that this machine is low-maintenance. Everyone loves the drinks it produces.

Great machine, good value for money!

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersThis is my second De’Longhi Lattissima Touch, the first one was purchased in late 2011 and was used daily until the water boiler failed earlier this month (Oct 2018); so, seven years of constant use is great build quality in my opinion.
This new version has a few upgrades/differences, but it is essentially the same machine and produces the same good quality coffee and frothy milk.

Once you set up the water hardness, and the quantities of water and milk (which is a simple process), you then get consistently well made coffees.

You do need to keep it clean and this is an important part of maintaining the quality and function of the machine. Some may find the milk container cleaning a faff, but it’s worth the effort.
