I used these rods about three months ago in Scotland where we get a lot of rain. I used them on an old sandstone building with no damp proofing and the ground water was seeping up the exterior wall and into the house and rotting the floor joists. I drilled a straight line 120 mm apart and a few inches below the interior floor joists all round the house and inserted the rods and filled the holes with the filler supplied. I kept the line even through the sandstone and mortar lines to keep a constant barrier.
The scoop was great for clearing debris.
Within 3 days to a week a could see the ingredients of the rods leeching towards each other on the outer wall.
Three months later I’m back to repair and replace the damaged floor joists and there’s no water or dampness on the interior walls whereas before they were soaking.
I can confirm that this product works..!!
My only problem was that the supplied drill bit head broke three quarters of the way into the job and I had to use a replacement or it would be five stars all round.
Give this a go and save yourself a lot of time and money.

Lost a star because the darned drill bit as supplied was bent totally unusable and had to buy a new one to install the DPC.
Edit to add and yes I did use an SDS drill and I do know that trying to use an SDS bit in a standard chuck can make the bit appear be

Was going to be a five star review. Everything in the box that you need to do a professional job with full instructions and videos When I came to drill the holes the drill was bent which made it difficult to drill,Fortunately I had a slightly smaller drill and just used drill supplied to open holes. Other than that every thing was straightforward My house is about a hundred years old so was not sure on the cause of the damp patch to my outside wall so decided to cover all possibilities fitted new damp course waterproofed outside wall and bought a dehumidifier All seems ok time will tell. Really pleased I found this system on Amazon I thought I would have to get a company in to do the work.

Very easy to use, slightly sceptical regarding buying the full kit with the hole cleaner etc but it’s proved it’s worth. We had a totally damp wall at the front of the house which has now been fully eradicated

    Excellent produc

I’ve waited two years to write this, it 100% works exactly as described, buy the full kit ( the cleaning out tool is essential ) , follow the instructions to the letter , and you will not be dissapointed, worth every penny , as they say , ignore the rest , get the best .

Friend put in the damp rods for us over a month ago for the first two weeks the damp was still there but in the last two weeks no sign of the damp at all I keep looking to see if it has come back but so far the rods are doing what they should.I am just in the process of reordering and going to have the conservatory done as well. Very easy to use especially if there is no plaster to remove as was the case in our porch it leaves a very clean area . Our walls were drilled from outside in the morter one brick higher than the old damp course membrane and we are very pleased with the outcome.

There is no drill in the parcel and I couldnt find information how to contact a seller to tell them about that. I cant say how it is as I’ve just received it but disappointed we can’t start work straight away as there’s no drill.

    The product looks good

Saves a fortune over professional damp proof course. The drill bit could have been better quality. Worth buying a second drill bit for large property as once the drill bit wears smaller the rods are more difficult to insert.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese dry rods seem to be an ideal solution to rising damp, it’s as simple as drill, insert and fill, then let the chemicals do their job.
This reaction is not instantaneous, so judgement is reserved until I can see the effects of the treatment.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy for DIY’er to fit and therefore save a lot of money by not having to pay tradesman.

My walls were three bricks solid thickness so needed to drill 13 inches deep, but easy to use cutter to add the extra length sticks required.

Only slight criticism the whole clearer is only 9 inches, for 2 brick walls, should make a longer one for thicker walls.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCan’t believe how easy it is to use, it would have cost thousands years ago for someone to damp proof my room, I’ve done it myself for 130 using this kit, absolutely fool proof instructions, just got to wait for walls to dry out then I will re plaster, job done

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI wanted an easy damp proof back up for an old flat, without going into the property and disturbing the tenants. I hired a decent SDS drill and laid in the whole pack at 10 – 15 cm intervals. the wall is old irregular stone work and I followed the mortar lines. Dead easy and having the full kit and using rods instead of the cream made it a clean job. I tidied up with some matching mortar. Checked up 3 days later and it all looks good and you cannot see the holes.
