Dualit 46025 2 Slot Long Lite Toaster – Black

Why choose Dualit?

Dualit Quality

Lots of companies talk about quality; for Dualit it is a fundamental part of the business. Our Quality Policy exists to provide employees and suppliers with a framework that ensures they deliver our promises to customers, whether product or service related. Its success is a consequence of several key factors – a continuous process of monitoring and improvement, senior management ‘champions’, supplier relationships that work as true partnerships, and employees who often ‘go the extra mile’ for the benefit of their customers.

Dualit Responsibility

Our Customers have high expectations concerning our Ethical Standards and we need to ensure we can live up to those expectations. For this reason Dualit have implemented an Ethical Sourcing Procedure which is based on international standards such as the conventions of the International Labour Organisation. We regularly visit our Suppliers and conduct Site Inspections & Audits to ensure their compliance to our standards.

Dualit Environmental

Dualit is aware of its environmental responsibilities and we have implemented Procedures to prevent pollution, minimise waste, reduce our emissions and manage risks and hazards. We are working to reduce the energy consumption of our products and we actively encourage recycling both of our own waste and that of our customers with the aim of reducing the amount going into landfill.

    Nice largeslots
Ideal for pitta bread and those slightly larger slices which stick out of normal sized toasters. The controls are well clear and the warmer was a bonus. Its not too big. Shame its not available in some nice bright colours but other than that seems very good.

    2 slot=4 slices
Able replacement for the Dualit toaster we had previously that gave up the ghost after a decade or so. We like being able to toast all our breakfast at once in this dual long slot.

    Slim toaste
Slim toaster that fits 4 slices in. Toasts well, not as even as my previous toaster but still really good toast. Like the bagel heating rack too.

    Great toaste
Good looking toaster. Evenly brown toast and great for artisan breads. Needs regular cleaning to keep it looking it best.
Word of warning the duralit toasted sandwich wire holders aren’t designed for this toaster. They can be used but beware the handles very hot so use oven mits.
Otherwise a very good toaster with a bagel functio

    Virtually perfec
Only issue is the temperature knob moves very easily. Just moving the toaster is sufficient to change the settings. Otherwise very pleased. Excellent quality and the toast comes out really crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Well worth the money!

You have to work with it...
it does get hot, it does burn some toast.
but if you use the bagel setting you can slow down the heat for the second press down (mandatory for any toaster) and that gives you more margin of error to spot when it needs popping.

So not a fire and forget toaster, you need to keep your eye on it. When you have formed a relationship with it, it gets you to where you need to be.

    Perfect toaste
This toaster is perfect – it has everything you want in a toaster and it makes perfect toast – toasts evenly and thoroughly.

Relatively small for a ‘long slot’ toaster, with pop and peak function.
I like the pop and peek which is why I chose this model. It looks great and performs well. Is it better than cheaper equivalents? Time will tell. My only niggle with it is that it could be deeper allowing for larger slices of bread.

    Nice toaste
    Really like this Toaster design
The two slots are nice and wide, so can fit our thick home-made bread slices (because I have not got the knack of producing thin slices), it’s also good at toasting bagels too

Adjust the setting of only using one slot as on most toasters. Highly recommended.

    Wide slot toaste
Makes good toast, cooks both sides well, copes with handmade bread.

    Good looking produc
Absolutely love this toaster. Toasts evenly. The only negative is the toast is catapulted from the toaster on occasion. Easy to clean and the crumb tray is easy to empty.

The toaster handle to long slices of bread really well.
Product is larger than expected, but there are not so many on the market which can handle the long slices of a large bloomer loaf which, I regularly get from local bakery.
    Looks great and works well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNo problems. Toasts bread.
Long slot toasters seem to rare. This fits all the non square loaf bread easily. Honestly I’ve never had much time for trusting the browning level on any toaster – so didn’t really put any attention to the reviews complaining about that. I leave it on 3 and if stuff needs a bit longer I just pop it back down for a bit. The first toast is always less than the subsequent in a roasting session – just because it’s already warm ? Either way it’s not an issue. Looks good. I wish Dualit would make a long slot version of their classic range however.

    Needs careful calibratio
Overall this is a good product, if a little pricey for a toaster. Other than that, my main criticism is that the difference between underdone toast and charcoal is very, very marginal. Once you have found the ideal setting for your usual bread, I would avoid changing it if at all possible.

    Great toaste
This is the best toaster I have ever had. It toasts evenly and quickly, deals with hot cross buns etc very well. It is very powerful, only set it to 3 to give good toast.

    Always quality from Dualit !
Between us we’ve had several Dualit toasters over the years and never disappointed ! This was to replace a 4 single slot toaster which we’d had for approx’ 14yrs – nothing lasts forever, and was the obvious choice !!

    flips toast out!
Had awful time when ordered another longslot toaster on Amazon so bought this in a bit of a panic. I certainly wouldn’t normally spend this much on a toaster. It does toast well but beware if one side of bread slightly dryer than the other as dry side will turn black! Frozen pitta bread with freezer button on works a treat as does frozen sliced bread. When normal bread in toaster when it flips up the toast actually flips out of the toaster and onto the work surface….was surprised at first but now used to it. Shame you can’t use toasting rack in longslot why don’t they make one that fits it?

Great toaster - as you would expect from Duali
Slightly cheaper build quality than the normal Dualit beasts, but the price reflects this. Works well and great to have the wide berth for all sorts of strange bread.

    It's a cracke
After buying cheap Toasters which do not brown both sides I decided to get a more expensive model. As I needed a long slot model, there was less choice and opted for the Dualit model. I am very pleased with the quality of manufacture and the results of using i

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersExperiment a little before condemning it !
Looking at all the reviews I wasn’t going to order this toaster but I needed a long slot toaster as my second Kenwood once again blew up just after the guarantee ran out so this to me looked good despite the poor reviews I thought I’d draw my own conclusions. First try was with frozen bread, not very good at all, one side white the other burnt ! Next, fresh Warburtons toastie, read somewhere setting 2.3 was good for this so set the same, result…..perfect light golden all over, tried 2 more pieces on same setting perfect again. Tried next day and it popped up a little under done so pushed it back down again and stood over it lifting slots occasionally until done to liking, fine, that’ll do me I thought and it toasts evenly. Ok so frozen bread not to good but I don’t cook from frozen that often so don’t mind. Build quality is very good plus it feels solid and well built. I’ll see how it goes and update if any problems. Would recommend this product now I’ve tested, the browning control is very sensitive just a couple of clicks either way can make a big difference and I think that’s the problem other reviewers may of had. Experiment to get it right. Hope this helps in your decision to buy or not.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersExcellent for home-baked thickly sliced bread.
A well designed product. I highly recommend this product for home-baked thick sliced bread as the slots width is generous. Other manufacturers have slots that are narrower. (Measure slot width carefully, as the inside frame slot width is often less than the outside ‘skin’ slot width).

Looks nice! Does not toast very evenly but not too bad. I like my toast on the lighter side and have the setting on 3. Love the long toasters as you can do baguettes, etc which do not fit nicely in the small two slice toaster. Can accommodate thick sliced bread. Although the full measurements are provided it looks quite big (bigger than our old long toasters). Recommended.
