Brilliant robot hoove
Love my little helper!!! This robot hoover cleans extremely well and the mopping plate is very easy to fit on and does an excellent job of cleaning my laminate flooring. It is very easy to set up and map the house, I find the schedule so useful as I’m able to set it up to hoover while I’m out walking my dog in the morning and come home to a lovely clean floor.
Easy to maintain and keep track of when the filters/brushes etc., need replacing with the app. I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.
No gimmicks this thing is genuine and does a fab job (and quite obsessive!)
This is my second deebot. Have a 920 which now does the upstairs and replaced it with this model. They are a total gamechanger and keep the house cleaned almost without thought.
Some minus points. If you have very low bars on the bottom (like feet) the sensors can’t “see” them, but the robot bumps into them. It’s ok it will figure it out but you do end up shouting “what are you doing? Don’t be so stupid!” At it. To be honest this isn’t a huge deal as you just leave it to get on with the cleaning.
I find the mop mode ok. It’s never gonna do it like you would yourself with tons of elbow grease but it will keep it cleaner for way longer so you don’t have to do it yourself so often.
The app is a bit fruity and sometimes can be annoying to use. Room edit functions can be fiddly but once it’s set up you can either do it manually, ask Alexa to kick it off, create a schedule and clean a couple of rooms each day (which is what we do).
Tip: Very occasionally it will lose its way and can’t locate where it is, starting to create a blank map. If this happens just pick it up and place it in front of the dock and hit “recharge”. It will slowly crawl back to base using line of sight IR and then reload the previous map (initially I’d left it to remap the house again which was a faff but the above method works every time!)
Clever thing
This clever thing is amazing. Very quick to map the areas, very accurate scanning it doesn’t bump into flower pots, chairs or anything. Great at picking up dirt you can feel the difference when you walk on clean floors. Very quiet, if the area is clear of obstructions like my long corridor off it goes very quick and precise leaving my wooden floor super clean. I think this product is one of the best on the market and it’s worth every penny. If you are considering other brands which are similar in price and features, don’t just get deebot, sensor are more accurate and it maps the area. Easy to use.

Great Robo Vac
We love this robot vacuum! It’s been cleaning now for 6 months with very few issues. It does not like to cross sun light, so will simply avoid that area, I assume that it blinds the sensors. It’s mapped for 2 floors, the base station is on the ground floor. For mapping, initially you have to move the base station to the new floor to be mapped. Once its done it, I moved the base back to the ground floor. After the mapping, we simply carry it up to the 2nd floor, it tells you it’s ‘locating’ which takes about 5 seconds and off it goes to clean the 2nd floor. We still get a little concerned when it vacuums the landing for fear of it dropping down the stairs, but it’s not jumped off yet! The DTOF sensor works brilliantly, which stops it bumping into furniture. We only use it for the vacuum and have not tried the mopping function.
For the money at around 220 its great value especially when you consider the ‘dumb’ robot vacuums are not far off this amount, and those just bump around, compared to this very smart vacuum.
Would highly recommend this robot vacuum.
So this was the wife’s purchase, I wasn’t overly sold on the idea as didn’t think it would be that good. I was proved wrong!
Spent ages looking online for a RoboVac and there are so many to choose from and such a range in price. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but at the same time wanted something decent that would last.
We came across ECOVACS which appeared to be a decent brand offering a range of RoboVac. We went for the DEEBOT N8 as the wife liked the idea of it been a hybrid (vac and mop).
Once it arrived it was easy to set up with the App. Feels like really good quality and heavy.
Cleaning wise it does a very good job sucking up the mess left by our 2 young girls! It’s not as powerful as proper vacuum, but it certainly does give it a good go! Picks up loads of dirt, dust etc! Once you’ve mapped the areas you can either do a full clean on that floor or select certain areas. It’s linked to our Alexas so we just ask her to turn on Bob (that’s his name) and off he goes cleaning.
Only reason it lost a star is because the mop function is pointless. It has a water reservoir and a microfiber attached underneath, once this is installed it then knows it’s time to mop. Water trickles out onto the microfiber and then that mops the floor, even on the highest water flow setting it doesn’t do enough to mop a floor.
Great RoboVac, but save some money and get the one without the Hybrid/mop function.
I purchased the Ecovacs Deebot N8 three times, which are for myself, my mum and my friend, and I am absolutely happy with its performance! This robot vacuum has been a game-changer in effortlessly keeping my home clean. From its sleek design to its impressive features, the Deebot has exceeded my expectations in every way.

However, it’s a shame that I still can’t ask Alexa to clean a partitioned area of my home by telling Alexa the area name.

The whole downstairs area of my house used to be tiled, I would set this to hoover mode to pick all the dust up and if I was going to bed I’d get a spray bottle of some sort of floor cleaner, spray it over the floor, attach the mop and send this robot on its way and my floors were perfect the next morning, no marks, nothing.
I’ve recently got carpet fitted in the living room, with a rather large floor bar gap between the living room and kitchen, I never thought the robot would get over it but it gets over it with ease, you can set the suction modes for different flooring types so it uses less battery and it will automatically detect if it’s on hard or carpet floor adjusting the suction power on its own.
The mapping on this is 10/10. I take the hoover upstairs and just press play and it does the rounds upstairs, gets to the edge of the stairs and decides not to jump down them and turn around. No virtual boundary was needed for it, it just automatically knows not to jump down the stairs.
It does everything you need. It has no issue picking anything up, it hoovers everything up with no issues whatsoever. It’s perfect and like I said the best thing I have EVER purchased.

Cleans epoxy floor perfectly, streak free. I have it set up on a timer And when I’m back from work I come home to shiny clean floor. Had a issue with moisture in the sensor but have contacted the company and they are going to fix the issue so can’t really complain, only issue at the moment is because it’s getting fixed I have to go back to manually cleaning my floor which isn’t a drama but this thing does it for you so hurry up and get fixed please . It really is noticed when it’s gone fantastic product just hope it gets fixed soon so I don’t have to go back to the dark ages with my mop and bucket.

so impressed i since bought a N8+ thinking I would sell the n8 but now I have two so I don’t need to move them between floors. They are that useful!
Life changing
Having the bit run around the house once a day has massively increased the cleanliness of my house. Its also got me into a Habit of keeping the floor clear of clutter my house looks great.
We’ve had 3 robovacs and this is the best.
If you want to spend 600 plus then look elsewhere but if you want a 250 efficient robovac this is the one.
Intelligent enough to map out the areas then allow you to select which areas etc.
The mopping feature is ok but don’t think you won’t need to manually mop. It’s ok for light spills etc but not so effective.

really impressive
After looking at other reviews & having decided to take the plunge into a robot vacuum cleaner, i waited a month to right a review just to get a feel for the product. well i have to say its very very good. The results are impressive on the vacuum. its very easy to set up when you down load the app. it maps the rooms our incredibly well & then off it goes. It doesn’t matter if there are obstacles it works it way around them. we have carpet, wooden & tiles floors, it copes with them brilliantly. The mopping function works very well although not as well as hand mopping, but close enough its a bonus to use. We have got a Dyson cordless & a shark cordless. Frankly speaking since we purchased this they are now only used to vac the car out !!. if you are looking for something reliable, easy to use and doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a great buy in my opinion.

Robot Vacuum Cleaner with Mop
We have 2 kids and a pet in the house, and it’s a challenge to keep floors clean. This robot does it all, including the mopping, with its water tank. The vacuum cleaner has a really good suction, The mop function is also good, it cleaned up the hardwood floors well. The cleaning coverage of the apartment is up to our expectations. Overall we very happy with our new robot cleaner.

I love my little robot and wish I bought it sooner. We use it every night and love walking to a clean house! I have today used the mop for the first time and I am very impressed! I would highly recommend.

Cannot believe how much dust is sucked up on a daily basis!
Vacuum and base fits perfectly under my sofa so it’s out the way. It has an easy to use app which allows me to custom the areas I would like to clean as well as cleaning all areas. Suction power is very good and get into the corners and sides of the room! I would recommend

The mapping in this robo is amazing, it can map each individual area which gives it capabilities to navigate to these areas if you want to have just 1 room clean.
The suction is good so far, picks up almost everything.
The mopping is pretty decent, if you do it just once. I usually mops the entire floor twice(first with high water flow and then with lowest water flow) which makes it better.
Have been using this for a month now and fully satisfied.
As an 11 year old I used to love lazing in bed listening to my mum hoovering, the mixture of the white noise & the bliss of being one of 6 kids who was not on hoover duty that day, roll on 53 years later and that feeling is back. Except now it’s 3 cats instead of 5 siblings making the mess, it’s ‘Jeeves ‘ doing the hoovering instead of my mum ( now I don’t have to pretend to be asleep)
Jeeves arrived yesterday, he was easy to setup and the app worked fine, connected to Alexa with no problems. I let him do his own thing yesterday so he could find his bearings, I tried out the mopping option on the kitchen floor and was impressed, before I went to bed I popped things up out of the way, chairs on the table, cables off the floor, shoes in the rack.
I woke early today, nipped down & made a coffee, opened all the doors and gave Jeeves his orders, then went back to bed with my coffee & cats.
Jeeves did a full sweep of the downstairs this time & saved the map, it was easy to edit this and mark off a little section I didn’t want him popping his nose into.
And it was bliss lazing in bed, watching him on the app doing his thing. I’ve had 2 operations on my hand & shoulder, and more ops to follow, so I feel this is a justified expense;)
I just need a robot to feed the cats now.
This hoover has literally changed my life. No seriously! The suction on it is amazing, always collecting dust, and I have carpet! I’ve read some robot hoover has trouble with thresholds, but I have on between my kitchen and living room and it doesn’t have any issue at all! This hoover gets right into the corners with it’s sweeper arms. I love that it comes with a mini brush and cutter to help clean the rotar where hair can get caught. Honestly couldn’t live without this.
This was our first robot hoover and it’s been a brilliant purchase so far. Super easy to set up and use. No issues connecting to our Sky Wi-Fi. It’s been a revelation and not sure why we didn’t purchase one sooner. I’d thoroughly recommend. The virtual boundaries are a must to prevent her (we named her DeeDee) from hoovering up our cats and dog food bowls. Also I put up boundaries around a fragile light or areas she might get a bit stuck. Also against our french doors as the glass means it’s hard for her to detect a barrier. Noise wise it’s pretty quiet as we have her on most mornings before we get up. Definitely very impressed! I need to empty her everyday- but we do have two cats, two kids and a dog! Wish I had forked out more for the self emptying one now but maybe will get that next.. you can do two or more floors with this robot but I think we will end up with a robot For each floor in the end as it’s a hassle moving her around. Very impressed overall.

This machine is amazing. The vacuum part is strong and able for a family home. I had swept the floor a few times in anticipation as there was cereal and other bits on the floors from the kids. Check out my photo on how much it lifted after the fact. I have hair to my waste and I’d left some on the floor to see if it would get stuck. It didn’t. The mop version is very good but you only use water. I have added detol for a good safe clean. You do need to change out the reservoir thing but that fine for me. I set it to mop in the night.
The app is super and straight forward. Look all in all I love this thing my life and easier and it’s one less thing to worry about. I am tempted to but a second one for upstairs so I don’t have to lift it up and dow
Does the job really well. Vacuum only and mop function. Ground floor hard floor gets mopped, rinse out the mop mat afterwards to clean the dirt off. Negotiates round tables and chairs most effectively. I have the charging station on ground floor and this allows it to save a map to the app. Map shows the route it has covered. Vacuums carpets on first and second floors well. Map created and route displayed during vacuuming but not saved as charging station would need to be moved to relevant floor to give it a reference point. This is not a problem. Just put it on the first or second floor carpet and it figures it all out, negotiating coffee tables, under sofas, under beds. App easy to use. Set up instructions OK. Only issue is to make sure there is enough space either side of charging point, 0.5m. I had to move charging station away from a corner wall a little. It would not return to charging station until I made that adjustment. It stopped a short distance from the station and spun around. Once I moved station it found it OK and has always found it since. Have to recommended this product, does a good job.
I was always sceptical of these but saw a great deal on this so gave it a go. It’s the best buy I could have imagined. Maps the house on the first run and then follows a linear route to clean the floors. When you add the mop it knows to avoid rugs. You can put this on and leave the house and everything is clean when you come home. Really clever and well designed. Occasionally gets confused when you move things around but all in all it’s really good. The mop won’t deep clean, it’s more of a soft wipe but if you do it every couple of days, the floors are sparkling.
This is absolutely EPIC. We have a new house cleaner and pet. Our new family addition is a clever little thing. 🙂 We have named him BOB haha. He worked out quickly after ‘mapping’ out the lounge etc exactly where he can and can’t go. He has a laser sensor so knows when obstacles are there so no bumping into stuff. We are pretty lazy tbh so don’t take the time to move chairs up on the table etc we just let him do his thing around all our stuff. Only thing we do move now is cables and wires. The set up is very efficient – step by step the app spelled out easily what to do next. The mapping showed an ingenious detailed diagram of our whole bungalow. You can set zones easily on the app so avoiding certain places and you can choose where you do or don’t mop. The large black plastic side part is the water holder and inside the lid is the dust collector. The mop attachments are easy to swop and clean. So Bob just does his magic now ! We have only had him a few weeks but we have grown very fond of him. He has very big bouncy all terrain wheels which move over our rigs without any issues and the only thing he didn’t like was we had a large thick mud trapper mat on the front door so just changed the app settings so that’s now off his course. I just bang it outside. The mopping is actually way better than I expected even though it’s only water inside the tank; because we mop every day now there is no build up of muck so tbh water is enough. Once a week I’ll get the wood burner floor wash and shine stuff and give it a quick flick but I’m so chuffed that the every day cleaning makes the house look so much better – absolutely in love with our little robot. He’s not loud at all and even on powerful hoover it’s not noisy like our normal hoover ! Always wanted one and as a Xmas gift to myself I got it at a good pre Xmas price. Oh mopping doesn’t leave the floor ‘wet ‘ it dries fast too. Really lovely gadget that actually does exactly what I hoped it would and I can come home to a clean house with zero effort. LOVE i

Plus points
Our house is cleaner than it has ever been simply because with the robot we can set a schedule and it’s done daily. Which is masses better than me getting up at 6am on a Saturday clearing the rooms to mop and sweep then putting it all back again. Now I do this monthly instead of weekly.
It’s very sensitive to obstructions, it slows right down and just barely touches the obstruction to confirm it’s real them works around it.
Set up was very easy.
Very Quiet.

Naming of map area’s can’t be done all you can do is put a silly icon on the area which is to small to see
You can only edit the map that is in use, so to edit the upstairs map, you have to take N8 upstairs and have it start a cleaning cycle before you can start.
Using with Alexa is poor, you can tell it to clean the whole area and that’s it, maybe an Alexa app issue but whatever it needs work.
Major minus points
The app is very poor, not intuitive at all. The basics clean the whole area no problem, but map management is not easy to find. Two and a half mints in I can find things mostly and it’s hard to remember specifically what I struggled with but I remember being very frustrated.
It gets stuck on our rug, and the door mats, they are only 2/3mm high but with the mopping plate installed it can’t cope.

Use this product in my kitchen/dining room as I have a cat that maults a lot so want to keep this area clean

Just got this so early days but so far so good it does a good clean and is better than I thought it would be
Really good, I use mine daily, it’s amazing how much it actually picks up. The negatives are that it needs the docking station to be plugged into the mains for the machine to find it and return to it after cleaning has finished, this means if you want the upstairs doing you need to unplug and move it around. other than that I am thinking of getting a second one for the upstairs.
Really impressive vacuum
This vacuum is saving me a lot of time and energy. It is great on both hard floors and carpet and the little brushes flick out dirt from edges. I was surprised at how much dirt it picks up in the dustbin inside. It’s easy to empty and the brush is easy to clean. It cleans under beds and furniture that have enough height for the vacuum to fit. My house is quite large so I usually use the Custom setting as the battery doesn’t last long enough to just let it go do its own thing. I have only used the mopping setting a couple of times due to the battery not lasting long enough after it has vacuumed. This aside, I am very pleased I bought it and it has taken the chore out of floor cleaning for me. Wish there was a robot that dusts too!

This is a great cleaner. In my home it predominantly cleans hard flooring, but it does a great job on carpets too. The mop is pretty good, but I suggest you give your floors a really good manual mopping and then keep on top of it with this mop. The app is great, the control features for each room, such as suction speed and mopping saturation is excellent. My only gripe is it’s like a lot of robo vacs in that it can struggle to find its way back to charge. Seems like such a simple thing to correct. It does eventually find its way back but not in a very logical way.
I have been eyeing up l a robot vacuum for a long while, however I could never justify the outlay. In particular, it was important for me to have one that mapped the room rather than randomly covered the room.
I bought the deebot N8 as I’d seen some excellent reviews for it online and the price hit my bighting point. I wish I had bought one sooner.
The vacuum was incredibly easy to setup after it was taken out of the good packaging. The hardest part was clicking in the side brushes and choosing where to put it. According to the manual it needs to be placed against a wall witb 0.5m clearance either side and 1.5 m behind it.
Multi floor mapping was enabled by default and the app was very easy to use. It is now part of the routine that I put the dining room chairs on the table before going out and tidyup any loose cables on the floor. I then set it off on its merry way to cleanup the Weetabix and debris from the kids’ breakfast.
It’s definitely better on tiles but we have been surprised at how good it has been on carpet. It initially picked up a lot of hair and I had to clean the roller, which was very easy – pops out and you use the supplied cutter. I have to do this less frequently now and I’m now hoovering a few times per week as it makes the process so simple.
The vacuum can be triggered using the app or by pressing the button on the machine. The main advantage of the app is that you can choose where to clean using preset areas, or custom areas.
It’s also been good not falling down stairs but to be sure I have since used the app’s virtual boundary feature to prevent it going to close to stairs.
It really isn’t good with cables or debris on the floor so you need to ensure it has a clear path. Otherwise it can get tangled and stuck. However if this does happen, you get a notification to fix the issue before it’ll continue.
We’ve only had it a short while but I love it. It will be interesting to see how it performs over time but so far so good. It’s not as good as my Henry but it’s so much more convenient and easy to use that I feel my house is cleaner.
Also a special mention to the deebot support. I could hear the radar tracking spinning after my first couple of cycles and contacted them for help. They were amazing responsive and helpful. In the end the issue resolved itself and I believe I introduced it when mucking around with the maps.
