Good product, excellent sound
These do give a very good loud bassey sound in a small package. Son uses at uni and was quite pleased that he got a noise complaint. The sound is nice and crisp. Definitely above what i expected considering the size.
Decent speakers but poor volume
Nice looking solid speakers but not as loud as I was expecting. Will probably have to dig deeper in my pockets next time
Attractive compact bookshelf speakers.
Attractive compact speakers with a good punchy sound. Easy to set up and boasts a good range of connection options. Sound is quite ‘middley’ and lacks a bit of definition and clarity at the top end, but fills a medium size room adequately so can’t complain at this price.
Great looking speakers with some decent adjustment. Benefits from being used with a PC so you can tweak your EQ to suit your room and music choice. Pretty great sounding music been playing through them for a few hours and they certainly can be driven hard without distortion.

Great speakers, great value.
After seeing some of the written reviews in was slightly apprehensive about whether these would cut the mustard as monitor speakers for video editing. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d stop searching. These are great. They’re accurate, clear, responsive. There’s good seperation between individual sounds. Although they’re a bit bassy (you can dial it back a bit) they’re neither muddy nor overly muscular on the bottom end. I’ve been surprised at how good they are to listen to music on. Other reviewers have commented on the eq for music so maybe of you’re sitting away from them, you might have to eq them for the room but if you’re at a desk with these pointing at your ears, they’re near as damn pefect. You can mix sound with confidence.
They’re nice and solid and look great, with a perfect position/angle for editing My only grumble is the cheap, generic remote, which is tiny and easily lost. They’re better using the wired connection over Bluetooth – there’s a significant difference in quality. Give them a few days to run in and they’ll get even better.
Shock and amazeme
Wow I am so pleased with these speakers. TrueType shocked by the sound quality. I have all my music collection digitised and when played through these speakers linked by Bluetooth to my PC desktop the sound is unbelievable. I am hearing sounds on some tracks that I have never heard before on my other equipment. Sound separation is excellent, bass first class, volume carries a real punch. Cannot fault the product.

Gave 5 stars for sound quality based on value for money. Obviously if you spend more you will get better sound, but for this price range I have no complaints about these speakers. Bluetooth works well and they look nice too.

Had these for 4 months now and I do not regret buying them in any way. I would say they’re slightly unremarkable at lower volume but once you turn them up a bit….wow! Read some people saying the bass is too much but not for me….think the bass is awesome on these and if you want you can alter it using the side controls. Have had no need to use the remote yet but that appears to be a bit of a cheap after thought. However, for the money these are top top notch.

Enorm viele Menschen kennen das, Signalgerte, wie CD/DVD- oder ltere VHS Gerte funktionieren noch aber der Vollverstrker macht es nicht mehr oder integrierte Minianlagen stellen Schritt fr Schritt den Dienst ein. Oder der Fernsehton vom neuen Flatscreen ist derartig bel, dass zwei aktive Lautsprecher hier die beste Lsung darstellen.
Ich habe von der Marke Edifier den zweiten Satz Kleinlautsprecher erworben – der erste spielt seit 15 Jahren in meiner Kche.
Nun brauchte mein Vater ein Paar neue Lautsprecher, weil die Micro Anlage von Onkyo ihren Dienst komplett eingestellt hatte.
Da ich mich hobbymig schon mein ganzes Leben mit Lautsprechern beschftige, wei ich, dass derart preisgnstige Kleinstboxen, immer zu wenig Polyestervlies zur akustischen Dmmung der Bassreflexkammer enthalten. Also habe ich das bei der Aufstellung behoben.
Auch alle Kabel waren lang genug, sodass ich sehr schnell die ersten Tne aus den Lautsprechern hren konnte.
Zwar begnstigt die Aufstellung an der Vorderkante einer Schrankwand, den Bass aber ein so solides Fundament hatte ich wirklich nicht erwartet. Dabei kann der Bassregler durchaus nahe bei Null stehen bleiben. Den Hochtonregler auf 14:30 gestellt, wurde auch der Hochtonbereich optimal wiedergegeben.
Angesteuert werden die aktiven Lautsprecher von einem Fernsehreceiver, von wo sie auch in der Lautstrke regelbar sind, wenn man einen Maximalpegel an der Seite der Steuerbox justiert hat. Normale Wohnraumlautstrken und auch darber, werden locker erreicht und das bei einer klanglich erstaunlich hohen Ausgewogenheit, wovon der Kleinst-Basslautsprecher erstaunliches leistet !!!
Aktuell luft auch der Fernsehton ber die Lautsprecher, weil sie sich als klanglich deutlich hochwertiger erwiesen haben, als das Gebrummel, was der alte Flatscreen in die Schrankwand hinein dnst.
Allerdings ist dann Bild und Ton nicht mehr absolut Lipsync, was aber zu verschmerzen ist.
Unterm Strich sind diese kleinen Lautsprecher, jeden Cent wert, wo Andere fr dieses Geld, hssliche Passivboxen anbieten, erhlt man hier von Edifier aktive Lautsprecher, also mit internem Verstrker, die sogar ohne Abdeckung, optisch etwas her machen und dazu noch zwei von der Fernbedienung schaltbare Cinch Eingnge und Bluetooth Empfang anbieten !
Das ist ein absolutes Schnppchen, welches in jeder Schrankwand gut klingt, weil das Bassreflexrohr nach vorn heraus ffnet !!!

Super Klang und Optik sehr edel. Satte Bsse und als PC Lautsprecher perfekt. Bluetooth leider nur per Fernbedienung einschaltbar.
Fantastic for the money
I’m by no means an audiophile but I listen to a variety of music any chance I get. These speakers have pleasantly surprised me. Easy setup. Nice amount of bass but not obnoxious. Plenty range of volume, especially for the size. BT works as expected. My tiny complaint is just that you can’t change to BT mode from the buttons on the R speaker. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic compact speakers
Bought these to go with a turntable and they compliment each other well. The speakers sound is great and they look good too.
A good bang for your buck
Firstly I have to say that I’m only using these on bluetooth to play Spotify via my phone, which limits the sound quality. However for the price they’re pretty damned good. If I was to nit-pick I’d say they’re a little too bassy for my taste, but dialling down the bass and boosting the treble makes them sound pretty hot.
Despite the upward angle of the face of each speaker where you place them is critical – they sounded rubbish on the floor, but good on shelves (pretty true of any speaker).
If you’re looking to get a decent sound playing spotify of your phone then buy these – you won’t regret it.
Nicely made but bass overrides vocals leaving a audible mess. No clear sound cannot handle complicated tracks build quality is good but sound is poor. But to be honest you cannot expect great sound at this price point. *****update connected via rca leads from audio technica turntable much better than blue tooth from iPad so upgraded to 4stars
A lot for very little.
I have to say, I was surprised with the quality of the speakers build. Sound quality, for the prices, you can’t complain, but in fact be greatful that not having spending that much, that you get some degree of high standards in return.
The bass is too keen, but that can be easily adjusted.

I bought this product as part of a pre-wedding gift for my Nephew along with an Audio Technica Turntable. He had just got a vinyl copy of War of the Worlds and I was about in tears thinking how it was about to be ruined on a Crossley!!
We set it up in my home before he got it and the sound quality and amount of volume from these speakers was very surprising. These would definitely suit anyone with limited space and also where the neighbours might not appreciate a big hi-fi system. The fact that you can also link in CD player or do streaming from music on your phone was excellent!

Ich habe die Speaker als Desktop-Lautsprecher fr Musik und gelegentlich ein bisschen Rumgeddel in GarageBand.. diesen Job verrichten die Boxen berragend, unaufdringlicher, prziser Sound, super aufgelst, ausgewogen und klar.. das Preis-/Leistungsverhltnis ist hier m.E. schwer zu toppen, einzig die Fernbedienung wirkt ein bisschen minderwertig, die brauch ich aber aufgrund des Einsatzgebietes ohnehin nicht wirklich..
Better than a £50 pair.
Rest of house is Sonos so these at the side of them shows they lack a bit in sound quality. Compact. Easy to use. Decent sound. Would like the option of a sub add on though for gaming.

The only thing stopping the 5 star review is the fact that the speakers are too bassy even with the bass turned down but other than that they’re great and I would 100% recommend.
Ok – the speakers are good to look at and reassuringly heavy, Who wants light speakers if you want a good sound.
Connections all good and solid. Loads of bass. So far so good BUT the treble was very low SO… I turn up the treble control on the speaker – no change. I turn it upon to MAXIMUM and… NO DIFFERENCE. High end still dull especially on the open / closed hi hat sounds. Turn the treble to minimum and it makes no change in the sound. There must be a duff connection in there.
I was in a quandary as I really didn’t want to go to the hassle of repacking and sending back etc etc so thought about using an external graphic equaliser – Spotify doesn’t have one ( I’m pretty sure ) and nor my MacBook Air
( again I don’t think so )
So looked on the net and came across an app called eqMac. It’s free. It’s also excellent. It opens up each time I use Spotify and I have tweaked the mid range and most importantly the treble. The speakers now sound fabulous.
I would obviously have preferred to have been able to get this sound from the start but eqMac was free and I’m happy with what I have now.
They now sound 5 STAR. Without eqMac they would have been 2 STAR. I’m sure I was just unlucky, the speakers having one bad connection , as none of the other reviews I read mentioned the same problem.
Third photo shows speakers being used with top knob ( treble ) dialled to 10/10. Bass is so good that I dial it down a little.
With eqMac I am really loving these speakers. Listening to LemonJelly at the moment ( Only Time ) and the sound is v v good indeed.
PS the Bluetooth works perfectly

Great value for money – look good, sound decent for the price. I’m not sure you could expect much more in terms of sound quality from this price bracket. Good lows and mids. They look good, and they also have the easy to use Bluetooth function included.
Amazing product with a really good sound quality
The quality of the speaker really amazed me and the design is spot on and very chic.
They came well packaged and wires seems to be really strong and of good quality too.
I use the speakers to play (DJ) at home in my free time and I’m totally satisfied with it.
This is the second set of these i have bought. The first were as a set of reference speakers in addition to my music studio monitors, as they have the expected mid scoop typical on mot domestic systems. The bass and treble controls provide a decent boost, the bass can get a little obnoxious, which im sure will reassure some. The treble boost doesnt quite match the power of the bass boost, but combined they give sufficient possibilities. The white finish is sleek and quite pleasant.
The second set i bought was as a set to listen to spotify in my kitchen. They are more than powerful enough for this, and my kitchen is quite large. These 4 inch speakers are far louder and more balanced than a 3 inch Sanyun carbon driver set i initially bought. I connect these to my google home mini via bluetooth and google home still hears my voice over the loud music. One issue with this setup, if you dont leave these speakers switched on 24/7, youll have to open the Google home app everytime you want to play music through them and reconnect the two via bluetooth. Only takes 20 sec, but a bit of a shame the pairing doesnt result in them auto connecting. Perhaps this is googles fault, i dont know. I like the fact they have a 5m cable linking the two speakers.
To be honest, its amazing what you get for your money these days. Dont bother with Bose etc. Get these for a quarter of the price.
I hope these have longevity… given i have two sets now! Time will tell.
iF ONLY
The speakers arrived when promised and were well packaged and the quality is what I expected. They should have been easy to install from the limited connection description BUT why didn’t they mention that if blue tooth is on the wired connection is disabled?.. I suppose it should be obvious but I spent several hours in consultation with a freind trying to work out why nothing was happening.

Excellent delivery 3 days before quoted date. The item is as described. These speakers perform very well but are just a little boomy in the bass. With carefully location and the use of stands the bass can be improved. Overall I an very pleased with this purchase.

Los uso como equipo multimedia y quizs son demasiado para este uso pero ya no los cambiaria por nada debido a la calidad de sonido que tienen. Para otros usos no los he probado pero van sobrados de potencia y calidad de sonido y construccin as que pueden cumplir en muchos usos diferentes con el bluetooth. Estticamente no defraudarn a nadie. Llaman la atencin.
These speakers do not cost the earth but they are good for listening to classical music.In my experience, very few reasonably priced computer speakers work well enough for classical music. They tend to be But these shine in bringing out the clarity of sound in the middle range & the sound is very natural, not synthetic (overly sweetened as in more expensive speakers like BOSE). Therefore good value for money if you want speakers for classical music. Now I am much happier listening to live streaming of classical concerts.
Easy to set up and a delight to listen to.
Oh yes, we’re back! My vinyl records that have sat dormant for thirty years or so are now in vogue once again. I could make a mint selling them now but am I going to? Not a chance! Keep yer filthy mitts off my collection! These Edifiers look the part, act the part and sound the part. Oh listen to that Argus LP…oh yes I can now write LP! Yes that long lost term that is probably not politically correct anymore, LP, LP, LP! No not album, not record, certainly not CD or tape, but ELLPEEEE! Am I going potty…probably…but listen to that LP….never mind all that vinyl cleaning and crap…just wipe it with a cloth, then lightly use the velvet brush and Bob’s yer uncle play the damn thing…a few cracks and pops and we are off! It took two minutes to set these Edifiers up, I probably won’t use the Bluetooth option but at least I can alter the bass and treble to my liking using the knobs on the side of the speaker. I’m not going into the specs or try to describe the sound, all I have to say is that they sound great to me. As they are powered speakers I don’t have to buy an amplifier and fiddle with any more wires. A good deck (I bought the Audiotechnica 120 USB Bluetooth from Amazon) and these speakers, that’s all I needed. Way to go!
Competent speakers that make listening to music fun again.
These speakers are fun: Get the right distance away from them (about 2.5m to my ears) and these speakers sound really good. I mean really good. Lots of scope to find the tone you like – the forward firing ports help in that. The sound is maybe a bit on the harsh side, but it is involving and enjoyable, and the 1700 speakers are great to play around with: Get the positioning of these speakers right and I think you will be impressed by the 1700s.
These powered monitors, whilst relatively small, pack some serious punch.
They are easily adjusted to suit the users taste and are incredibly easy to set-up.
Personally, I run them through a DAC/AMP that I bought cheaply a few years ago.
Whilst these are perfect to use in conjunction with a TV or PC just to provide sound, the listening experience is incredible regardless of configuration.
