Enegitech Mini Chainsaw, 18V 2-in-1 Cordless Mini Chainsaw Portable Handheld Chainsaws with 2.0Ah Battery, 2 Guide Plates(4-inch and 6 inch), 2 Chains and Fast Charger for Tree Branch Wood Cutting

    The product.
This is an 18-volt hand held small branch cutter. It comes with two sizes of chain and two rechargeable batteries.

    Set up.
You can use the short or long chain (4 and 6 inch) and the tools are supplied to do the changeover. The batteries fit onto the base and a charger is supplied. It can be a bit fiddley to change the chains over but once you have done it a few times it is easy. It also comes in a nice carry case so everything can be kept together.

    In use.
I have found this very useful in the garden and on our smallholding. It is great for pruning small twiggy branches and saves using loppers. I have used it also since getting it and it has been a great tool to have. It works really well. I suggest getting a thick pair of chain proof gloves to protect your hands in case the chain jumps. Battery life depends on the load put on it but it usually manages 20 minus before it runs out and I need a cup of tea!

    Overall.
This has proved very useful. The design is not perfect and chain changing can be fiddley. However, it is one of my most used tools now.

10 years ago I borrowed a full size chain saw and nearly lost my fingers! My husband would not let me use one again until now.

This is so much easier to use, and safer, the lightness makes it easier for older people to be able to do jobs like trimming branches.

It was a bit fiddly to set up but once done, I found it really easy. My husband is really impressed with it. It is much quieter than a regular chainsaw too.

In terms of value, I think its good and much nicer to use than a regular chainsaw but seems to have almost the same power.

    Overall its pretty great.

After you are done assembling and setting everything up (it does require assembly, setup/checking; chain tensioning/oiling) it is super easy to use and convenient to handle… works really well with quite thick branches and battery life is dece

This is a terrific little mini Chainsaw that comes with a choice of cutting blades. One is 10cm long and the other 16cm. The shorter one will cut up to 9cm and the longer once up to 15cm. Once it is assembled it is actually good fun to use it in the garden. It is great for all pruning and cutting tasks. I have an aged holly hedge that I am trying to get rid of and it cuts through the hard woody branches with ease.

The only problem is the assembly. The instructions are not great but as Mr K. had already used chainsaws he had a fair idea of what to do. Other reviewers have mentioned about being careful to get the chain on the right way round.

It works really well and is a great addition to my gardening tools.

I’m one of those people who’s absolutely fine with power tools they’ve experienced before – drills, electric screwdrivers, that sort of thing, but I get very nervous around the more powerful, cutting tools that are available. When I needed to cut through some timber and had to get the jigsaw out, I had to work myself up to it for a good couple of hours. So it was with some trepidation that I ordered this mini chainsaw.

The chainsaw comes in a neat box. It does require some assembly but I actually liked that part. There’s something about actually putting something together that makes me think I’ll know what’s happened should anything go wrong with it (I’m not really mechanically minded, so I doubt it). The completed chainsaw comes with a good, strong battery which holds its charge remarkably well and the machine can cut through small branches and hedgey stuff with ease. I’m still a little nervous using it – I watch too many horror movies – but it’s behaved itself admirably and it’s a great thing to have for the garden.

The chainsaw is about 1kg in weight and does not get my arm tired when cutting off branches during pruning in the garden. The motor is surprisingly powerful cuts through with ease and does have a splash protector. Battery life is good however i would recommend getting extra battery for when you have a big task it may not be enough there is a safety lock so its important to use when not operating.

This is truly a single-handed chainsaw, powered by its own rechargeable battery. The kit is complete with everything you need, including charger, instructions of a sort, oil bottle, spanner etc. Some assembly is required, for which the instructions are just about adequate. There are two different lengths of chain provided, with corresponding guides, but only one “splash guard”, which fits the shorter chain, but is quickly being chewed up by the longer one. Perhaps I have got something wrong.
I have always been nervous of chainsaws, and even a tiny one needs treating with respect. There is a safety lock on the handle, but it isn’t sprung, so the device could easily be left in a “live” state. Just be careful out there.
It is easy to hold and operate, and cuts very well. I tried it on a big cardboard roll and on a spurious tree, and it dealt with both in a flash. It can catch on lighter stuff, so it’s probably best used on well-supported solid objects. There is no carrying case, so the box is kept for storage purposes. It will just about go back in assembled. I remove the battery for peace of mind. A useful gadget to have.

This cuts well when set up, I sliced up a fairly large cordyline using the longest chain. It was very damp “wood” but the chain did not get clogged up like my reciprocating saw did.
I initially put it on charge expecting it to perhaps bleep when charged however it plays a tune and when I heard it I wondered where it was coming from.
Before use it needs assembling which is quite easy and a wrench and screwdriver is supplied so you don’t need any other tools. However the chain needs oiling before use and although a small oil can is supplied you have to get a suitable chainsaw oil.
It is quieter than I expected and well balanced for one hand use, keep the other hand well out of the way.
    BUT
A chain saw whatever size can be dangerous if the chain is not tensioned correctly, unfortunately the manual is of little help with this, it just says not too tight and not too loose. You certainly know if it is much too loose as it will chew up the fairly flimsy chain guard.
It takes a couple of seconds to stop once turned off and although there is a lock button to prevent accidental use it is not locked unless you use the button which rather defeats the object of having it.
    In Summary
A good small lightweight chainsaw but I would get a more substantial on if I was going to use it extensively.

There’s a lot of value in this handheld rechargeable mini chainsaw. It’s a very effective little chainsaw with two different size chain guides (4 & 6 inch) and a li-ion rechargeable battery & charger.

On unpacking everything you need to assemble the chain guide, chain itself, chain guard and adjust the chain guard. I have removed a star from the overall score because the ‘manual’ is so barebones in the guidance it gives you here that it’s amazing, I’ve had much much more comprehensive instructions in far less dangerous gadgets! Once I’d gone online to ensure that I was putting the chain on facing the right way, it was then a bit of trial and error to work out how best to adjust the chain tension etc – the manual is no help here whatsoever.

However, once assembled it’s a fantastic little tool that I was able to immediately put to use by cutting off some meaty branches that would be a step too far for normal branch loppers. The mini chainsaw made short work of them and I can see I’ll get a lot of use out of them. I wish these had come with proper instructions so I could have given them 5 stars.

    Powerful handy chainsaw!

When I first opened the box, I sighed !! Everything needs putting together. Fortunately instructions are enclosed, basic but they are instructions.

    What’s in the box .

    – Cordless chainsaw body
    – 18v battery (2.0Ah)
    – Battery charger
    – 2 x guide plates – 4 inch & 6 inch
    – 2 x chains – 4 inch & 6 inch
    – 1 x guard plate
    – 1 x screwdriver
    – 1 x wrench
    – Small oil can
    – Instructions

First things first, to charge the battery using the charger provided. Power on and a few seconds of Mozart plays. I laughed. Not what I was expecting from my tools. Not sure whether this is a positive or a negative. I will reserve judgment for now !! Red light indicates charging required. Green light indicates charging has completed. Fully charged and a lot more seconds of Mozart plays again !! I laughed again.

Next to put the pieces together. Simple to do, intuitive but also confirms my initial view that the instructions are basic. The instruction states “Do not screw too loose or too tight” the chain. This is not being particularly helpful. A guide on tension, particularly with something so dangerous, would prove very helpful !! It helps that I am familiar around chainsaws.

Disappointingly, the splash guard is a little too short for the 6″ chain. I don’t understand why a longer guard wasn’t also included.

Initially, I assumed that the chainsaw had an oil tank that needed filling, especially considering an empty oil can was supplied (No oil is supplied, but it is easy to get hold of, whether from Amazon, Screwfix or other). Looking at the chainsaw, it does not have an oil tank and the instructions make no mention of oiling.

I will assume that the chain will need direct lubrication.

Battery charged and installed and this Enegitech chainsaw is ready to use.

The chainsaw is very comfortable to hold, it’s weighty but not too heavy. The plastic body feels solid enough, but by no means does it scream quality. That said, the chainsaw is very easy to hold with one hand. There is no safety feature but there is a trigger lock button. This has to be pressed off before you can press the trigger.

Straight away I note that the safety guard is flapping because the chain is too loose. Tighten the chain further I will have to, albeit by adjusting 2 different screws. I will also have to adjust the safety guard by adjusting its screw. You will also need a small spanner or set of pliers to complete. Even after adjusting the safety guard, it loosens and touches the chain whilst the chain rotated. The safety guard will not stay whole for much longer. It will break.

This Enegitech chainsaw is really easy to use, and fantastic that I do not have to worry about trailing cables. Surprisingly, this is quieter than I thought it would be.

Release the trigger and the chainsaw stops after a couple of seconds.

Top speed is reached pretty instantly and cutting is straight forward. This is a very easy to use chainsaw and it is very effective and quick cutting through either fence panels or tree branches. This made light work of 4cm branches but that safety guard really flaps and is starting to cut up. Thicker branches and you have to cut in stages. This is not a criticism of this chainsaw, merely it is held back by its size.

Initially, I was concerned that a battery powered chainsaw would be underpowered and unimpressive. It’s not. This Enegitech mini chainsaw is effective with less troubling items. No dragging cables particularly appreciated. It has everything that I need to complete my most basic of domestic wood cutting requirements. That’s the positives. The negatives are the instructions, plastic body and a safety guard that doesn’t stay solid or in place and the chainsaw will very soon destroy it.

Overall though, a thumbs up from me.

Portable chainsaw and effective at sawing smaller pieces of wood

The instructions were clear and easy to follow except for a rather vague description of tightening the chain ‘not too slack, not too tight’, as if I should know how tight that is. I opted for slack enough to pull the chain away from the guide slightly, without the pegs coming out of the groove. As it happens, I might have set it a little tighter as it slackened during use (see photo)
I was pleased to find the saw fully charged and ready to use, but putting the battery on the charging station did give a little tinkle of classical music before the light went green.
The saw has a safety lock button which can prevent the trigger being pulled, although this does not default to on and can just be ignored which rather defeats the object.
In use, it is light and manoeuvrable, easily tackling branches up to and over the thickness of my thumb, probably slightly thicker than I could manage with secateurs.
It does struggle with anything much thicker which is disappointing as I was hoping it might replace my ancient reciprocating saw, but it won’t, at least not completely.
Overall, it’s a sturdy little tool and it saves work on the hands when pruning, with a choice of 4 and 6 inch blade guides. I didn’t flatten the battery so I can’t comment on its durability and it remains to be seen how long the chains last and how easy it is to obtain replacements , something I’d recommend potential buyers research before parting with their cash.

    An adequate tool

I’ve been looking for a portable saw for so long! This product is honestly so convenient, the saw is fairly small which means that it may not be able to cut large branches, however I bought it for the purpose of tidying up my garden so it’s perfect for that, the drill comes with 2 sets of chains , I have only tested out the smaller so far and it’s worked great on branched around an inch thick, so I’m presuming the larger chain will only cut better, the battery life is fairly good and I have not had to re charge it for the whole back and front yard. This is a must have for people who love gardening and DIY , as it makes everything so much easier but having to drag a wire around or trip over it!

Must have for DIY or gardening

I just gotta say, I absolutely love this mini-chainsaw! I really wasn’t sure that a cordless chainsaw with a 4″ or 6″ blade would prove to be much more than a gimmick tool with limited applications, but I am now prepared to attest otherwise.

Word of warning; this arrives pretty much disassembled and has to be put together by the end user, so if you’re technically inept you’ll need a hand in putting it together.
Unfortunately the accompanying manual is deficient in one or two important aspects, the most egregious being the lack of help in adjusting the tension to put the chain on.

One has a choice of 4″ or 6″ blade so there are two guide plates and two chains. When installing the chain it is essential that one adjust the screw under the plate (as shown in one of the accompanying images) or you’ll find it impossible to get the chain to fit. I’ll admit it took me a little while to realise this. As I say, the manual is not very helpful in this matter. The appropriate wrench and cross-head screwdriver required for the assembly are provided, so it can be assembled immediately out of the box with no other tools necessary.

The battery charger is a separate unit – naturally – and I have to admit it got a chuckle from me when I heard to audio alerts for full charge etc, as rather than emit a mundane beep it actually plays a little tune. I mean come on, that’s (almost) worth an extra star on the rating itself!

Anyway, having assembled and charged it, it was time to put it to the test on a mature Elder tree on the Asparagus Estate that requires annual trimming, and frankly, secateurs and loppers were no longer up to the task. But this was… it came through with flying colours, slicing through branches with ease. It doesn’t work well if the branch is too thin or are trying to remove to short a length, as the branch in such cases tends to shake as soon as the teeth of the saw bite. Holding the part to be removed steady can be beneficial in such instances.

Having engaged in some pretty heavy pruning – the Elder was practically pollarded (I got a little carried away!) the saw showed no indication of any reduction in power, nor did it when I spent another 10m or so the next day doing a little more trimming and cleaning up.

Having something of a mobility issue currently that makes two-handed tool use somewhat problematic, this mini-chainsaw was a godsend – it’s very light for a power tool, I have a power drill that is heavier – and I’m happy to report it exceeded expectations. The only real demerit I can find is the lack of clarity in placing the chain on during assembly. Having eventually crossed that irksome bridge I have nothing but praise for this very handy and very effective tool.

This isn’t the first chainsaw I’ve used so I was less fazed about setup.
Chain tension should allow you to pull the chain away from the guide just a mm or 2.
The chain will need oiling for which a bottle is supplied but no oil.
Search Amazon code B00B4E8IH8 for the oil I use with this.

Bigger chainsaws have an oil reservoir which you fill up but this one requires manual oiling which seems a bit rudimentary to me as it should ideally be oiled as it cuts.

I’ve been up trees lately, taking off in-between and lower branches to raise the crown (as they say).
This is ideal for that purpose as It’s light enough to dangle off my belt on a cord, leaving my hands free to manoeuvre cut branches.
It also allowed me to reach (NOT over-reach!) further out, allowing me to nibble branches off in smaller sections rather than doing a whole branch in one down to the collar, which could potentially take a fence down as it falls.

But unlike loppers or even a cordless drill, you don’t just get this out of the shed and work away.. it does require setup/checking; chain tensioning/oiling and in time you’ll need to sharpen or replace the chains which may be tricky as these are non-standard sizes.

Still, if you were thinking of getting a larger electric chainsaw to make mincemeat of pallets or thinning out a tree/cutting stove sized logs then this should suffice for occasional/light use and would be easier to use and store.

An easy to use a mini chainsaw that was delivered quickly and in good quality packaging. There is a lot included, like different heads, and a charger for the battery and stuff like that.

It is really high quality and works really well. The fact that it is wireless is really good, and it makes it a lot easier to use and store. It is super easy to operate, and it actually isn’t too heavy which is great.

The battery charges quickly and has long battery life. It can cut through quite annoying things which are quite solid and rough so that’s really good. The price is good and I recommend it.

I’ve given this mini chainsaw 5 stars because for its size and price its really does the job. I did however, find it a bit fiddly to put together but honestly think its more the nature of these type of things rather than this particular chain saw, I wish it was already assembled but then it might be too dangerous to post?

As for the work it can do I was really impressed, I did use the charge within 15 minutes but then I was using it non stop on pretty tough branches. I think is very important to keep in mind this is only a mini chainsaw, hand held 18v rechargeable so it has its limitations. I think when using this type of saw its often a misconception it can do more than its made for and I’m definitely guilty of that , I got carried away with the size of wood I was cutting and then got slightly frustrated when the saw wouldn’t cut through the way too big branches! Overall very good, very impressed.

    Very good for the size

This Mini Chainsaw is extremely lightweight and manageable. It enables you to get into little places for delicate surgery. Super useful on tight growing bushes. It cuts though branches cleanly and efficiently. Although I haven’t tried it on branches bigger than 3 inches there is no reason to think it couldn’t manage the 6 inches advertised as it cuts with such ease. It is comfortable to hold and can be used for long periods of time. A pleasant little surprise was that when you plug it in to charge it plays a little tune and then does so again when fully charged and this doesn’t take long.
The only slight negative is that you have to build it yourself (necessary tools included) and the instructions were not all that easy to follow but we got there. Tools are included. Make sure the chain is put on the right way round which isn’t fully explained in the instructions but I have put up a photo to show how it goes.
All in all a super useful machine that I am really happy with and value for money. Remember to keep it oiled!

Wow! A super efficient little machine

This is great for cutting small trees and logs at the bottom of our garden. Fully charged the battery and took only 1hr and 30 minutes then away we went to the garden and it works excellent I loved cutting through the old branches that we did not need. This is a great little chainsaw. Price is a little high compared to some others on here hence the 4 stars.

Mini chainsaw that does a great job of trimming back hedges and smaller branches.

One star knocked off for the poor instructions. It took me about half an hour to figure out how to assemble it. The battery easily lasted for an hour’s use in the back garden.

It’s lightweight and easy to use. One flaw is that the safety lock kept engaging itself without me touching it, which was a little annoying.

I am really pleased and impressed with the battery life of this and while cutting a an hedge and sawing some branches for fire logs the battery kept going for a couple of hours and still had more life in it. It comes with all the instructions however i did find putting it together still a task.
I dont know if it is me putting it together but the chain guard is not in the middle properly on the chain but like i said this maybe just my putting together. Other than that it is a brilliant piece of kit and perfect for if you only need small jobs done in the garden or cutting smaller logs.

I was looking for a Mini Chainsaw that used Makita LXT 18V batteries and I finally found one. Most of the ones I had found to date used proprietary 20V – 22V batteries.

This model comes with an 18V 2Ah battery but I also use my aftermarket Makita 18V LXT 6Ah batteries which fit perfectly and give me a much longer run time.

The saw is great for fast smaller jobs that don’t require a full size chainsaw. It’s small enough that I can throw it into my bike pannier bag and take it on trail rides to cut through underbrush and low hanging branches. At 2.2lbs it doesn’t add much weight to my bike and can be easily used with one hand.

It comes with two chain bars (and chains) 4″ and 6″. The bar and chain are easily swapped out with the included tools. There is a spring loaded chain guard along the top of the tool and a trigger safety lock. They also put in a small bottle of bar oil.

I am a single mum so chores like gardening can be quite difficult when it comes to the more complex jobs. This mini saw is absolutely fantastic for tackling certain jobs with ease thanks to it being cordless and incredibly lightweight. It is also suprisingly powerful considering its size, I was impressed I managed to cut through some quite thick branches using it. It is quite loud when operating but I dont think there is much choice noise wise when it comes to products like this. The set comes with a quite detailed guide on the various parts of the saw and how to use it all which was great for me because I’m not the most savy when it comes to these kinds of tools. The set includes a mini saw, 2 replacable guide plates and chains (different sizes), the charger stand and the manual. A couple great features of this particular model are that is has a safety lock switch and a splash guard to prevent damage and accidents. Would make a great gift. Would recommend.

Handy handheld not just for me

  23. XPQEddymnevfdib says:

What a so and so nuisance to set up . The instructions are next to useless and while it comes with a screwdriver for the tension adjuster and a wrench for the large nut, there is no wrench for the smaller nut that holds the chain guard in place. Chainsaws are highly dangerous so detailed instructions and safety tips should be included.
Being able to use it one handed is a plus and also a big minus as it is imperative that the other hand is positioned well away from the cutting action. I prefer to have both hands in the saw handle just to be sure.
Having said all that, it does cut well through various thicknesses and is obviously much lighter and more manoeuvrable than any full sized chainsaw. A spare battery would be useful as a reserve for larger undertakings.
All in all, apart from the very frustrating set up, it is a very useful tool.

Enegitech Mini Chainsaw, 18V 2-in-1 Cordless Mini Chainsaw Portable Handheld Chainsaw

This is a great bit of kit to have handy in the shed, it cuts through wood with ease, I have quickly demonstrated it in the video but afterwards I thought I’d go round my garden pruning those stubborn branches with this cordless chainsaw, it was quite fun actually and a doddle plus after I had finished I still had power left in the battery. 65.99 is a reasonable price to pay, the product seems well made and it works rather well, very happy to recommend.

This comes very well presented making it ideal for gifting, in the box you will receive the following:

    1 x 18V Chainsaw
    2 x Glide plates – 4 & 6 inch
    2 x Chains – 4 & 6 inch
    1 x Guard plate
    1 x Screwdriver
1 x Mini oil can (No oil included)
    1 x Wrench
    1 x 2000mAh rechargeable battery
    1 x Battery charger
    1 x Instructions

I personally have never owned a chainsaw before, I normally use a good old fashioned saw or loppers, depending on the thickness of the wood, so I was intrigued with this cordless mini chainsaw.

Once I had laid all the bits out of the box, I immediately placed the battery on charge, even though it comes partially charged, it’s always best to fully charge rechargeable batteries before first use as this will prolong the overall life of the battery. Whilst that was on charge I looked at the instructions to get the chainsaw ready. Unfortunately, the instructions aren’t the best to follow but I did get their in the end.

All that needs to be attached is the guide plate, which I chose the 4 inch, the 4 inch chain to go with it and the guard plate. Firstly, take out the large bolt and washer, wrap the chain around the guide plate, attach the guide plate to chainsaw and place the chain around the cog wheel. You may now have to adjust the screw which alters the chain tension to ensure the guide plate lines up correctly, then place the guard cover on and reinsert the bolt and washer through the guard plate, job done. Then adjust the tension screw to ensure the chain is firmly in position, not too tight or loose.

After an hour the battery was fully charged, the indicators on the battery charger will notify you when charging is taking place and completed. The battery just clips in the chainsaw and you’re ready to go, I would point out that the battery itself has no power level indicators like some power tools I have, you can press a button to see how much charge is left, with this you’ll have to play it by ear.

The handle has a comfortable grip, the safety lock switch is easy to operate whilst holding the saw. I would’ve preferred the safety lock mechanism to operate so that I would have to press it in for me to then start the chainsaw up as we all forget to put the safety lock on tools now and again, as it is, once the safety lock is off it stays off until you switch it back again.

I started on small branches of wood, it made light work of them to be honest, I found it easier and quicker, as I started going round my garden, to actually move the saw back and forwards, just like on a manual saw, and that cut through the wood even quicker.

The guard plate worked effectively, I had no wood chips flying in my direction, I do suggest wearing glasses though!

I will admit it has some power, it never slowed down on a thicker branch, it just kept cutting, the 2000mAh battery is just about spot on in my opinion.

I spent about half an hour pottering around in the garden pruning branches and the battery was still going, my estimate is that this probably would work for about an hour before needing recharging.

After use I would suggest oiling the chain and guide plate with chainsaw chain and guide plate oil to extend the life of the chain, a small oil bottle is included for such a task, shame they didn’t include any oil.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the results, it’s a useful tool to have, doesn’t take up much room, no fumes or trailing wires, just simple and straightforward.

    Very happy to recommend.

    Specifications:
    Voltage: 18V
    2000mAh Lithium Battery
    No-Load Speed: 0-850 m/min
    No-Load Power: 200W
    Guide Plate: 4 inch/ 6 inch
    Chain: 4 inch/ 6 inch

Exceeded my expectations - I no longer will use my manual saw or loppers!!!

An excellent mini chainsaw that is easy to put together. Very strong and compact, the material of the chainsaw itself is top quality. Quite surprised by how good this worked. It can cut through thick things, very good for gardening. The battery life is quite good, there is also a lock and unlock button on the chainsaw itself which is always good to have for safety reason. Ensure that you use this for the right things only, using it for very small things means that you can loose control of the chainsaw and it could lead to some sort of injury. Need to have a tight grip, it is held very easily and is not heavy at all. It can be recharged, which does not take too long to reach full capacity. Overall, a very effective and efficient product that will save you a lot of physical energy and hard work. Very satisfied overall!

I love this 18V 2in1 cordless mini hand held chainsaw and think it must be one of the best on the market , I put the 6inch chain on and went to work pruning Leylanii and cutting some long branches into the right size logs for my fire . The only draw back is no spare battery which several other sellers include but saying that this chainsaw punches above its weight that is for sure , I did plenty of work and still got some power left in the battery . It comes with 1x battery , a 4inch and 6inch chain and the two guide plates , 1x mini chainsaw and a fast charger a socket and screw driver for tensioning the chain and an oil bottle . Weight is 2.2lbs and a good nonslip handle . It passed my trial with flying colours and I think it is priced right I have no hesitation endorsing this little gem of a mini chainsaw .

This is an excellent mini chainsaw !

This is a very handy little chainsaw that’s great for pruning bushes and trees. It can fit in where a full-sized chainsaw wouldn’t go, and can be used with one hand.

You get the chainsaw and battery/charger, tools for assembly and maintenance and two length chains.

Assembly is quite straightforward, although the instructions are a bit blurred. You need to get the chain the right way around (see picture) – if it’s the wrong way it will just feel like it’s blunt. The chain should be loose enough to pull up at the middle just enough to be free of the guide.

You get a small bottle (empty) for chainsaw oil but no clear instructions of what to oil and how often. I’d just keep it ‘moist’, especially when leaving in storage.

It’s slightly loud but makes a great cut. Damp live wood is just as easy to get through as dry dead wood. Having less chain compared to a full-sized saw it’s safer as long as you keep your other had out of the way. You can hold the end of a branch to keep it steady when cutting. The guard on the top will prevent some debris from flying towards you, although in the picture you can see it does bounce off the chain and wear at the end a bit.

There’s a lock switch to prevent accidental use.

Battery charging is fairly quick, although the charger seems unnecessarily large and does play a short annoying tune when charging. It lasts for hours with on/off use.

Good cut for hard-to-reach areas. Safer than a full-sized saw.
