Excellent value for money
Exactly what it says on the packet. Was a present and he loves it .
Looks fantastic
Looks very smart, sporty but looks robust as well. Very sturdy as expected for a G Shock watch. If I have one nighle it is I wish that the face had been a tiny bit larger as it would have given it a bigger wow factor. But I’m not complaining it is a beautiful watch. It is made strong the strap is robust but has a soft feel and is comfy. The watch is not light weight but has a good solid feel.
Hard to set up but a good sturdy watch
Had to go to a watch dealer to get it set up even though instructions came with it.
My partner bought this for himself, and was impressed with it. It’s a good size; large and chunky, but not too bulky for his wrist. It doesn’t get in the way of his work. He ended up buying a fabric strap for comfort, as he prefers these over the stuff rubber. The original strap is fine, just not his preferred choice. It was really quick and simple to change, so that’s a plus. The only downside is finding out how it all works! It’s a bit confusing and needs some patience.
I have always liked G-shock watches, and the carbon core design is great. As most of the online reviews state, the digital displays are not easy to read in some lights, but I like the design, and the 5 alarms. I also like the quick release straps – more comfortable to wear than some earlier models, and if you want to change them, Barton watch bands (on Amazon) do a lot of possible replacements (24mm lug width). The Amazon price is currently well below the RRP.
The manual is the usual tiny printing from Casio, but there is an excellent video from Watch Geek on YouTube that demonstrates all the watch features and how to access them.
Nice robust statement watch
Needed a bigger watch to view the date. Watch brill, date a little small for older eyes.
I’m a big fan of both digital and analogue watches, so having a combination of both is just fantastic!
The initial set-up was a bit confusing but once I figured it out, I do wonder how I was confused to begin with as it’s not actually that complex (maybe it’s just because I was new to the watch).
I don’t think there’s anything I dislike about this watch: The style is eye-catching with the black & blue coloured theme, the build-quality feels durable, it’s comfortable to wear and it has some great features you wouldn’t typically find on an analogue only watch.
Really pleased I purchased it, no regrets whatsoever!
Belter of a watch
Great watch and gets lots of compliments. Really stands out on the wrist. Takes patience to set up but once you get the watch into GMT and see the hands glide round to set local time, there is no looking back. Intend to buy in the darker midnight blue also.
Best watch I have bought from amazo
I try to find a fault but I can’t, this wstch exceeds my expectations very good value for miney
Yes this is a very pretty thing, but not much of a watch due to it being a little hard to read. At my age I need binoculars to read the day/date and no second hand. You can’t read the time at a glance, hence while driving it’s pretty much useless. As for the Gshock factor, my old, very cheep casio W-210 (still working by the way) survived ark welding, heavy grinding, working on small to large plant and generally hitting stuff with big hammers without batting an eyelid!! Like me, if you like this watch, you will get one…
Bought this to update an old G-Shock which was showing signs of age. Liked the colour combination, and for the money thought I’d give it a go. Glad I did. I was worried it would be too big for me, as I have thin wrists (17cm) but the case size is actually fine and looks good when on. Setting the time required a little use of the manual, but wasn’t too difficult. Liking the blue hands, and the light works well, although could stay on a bit longer. The optional black strap would also look good on this watch. Overall really pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it.
Yhe watch looks very smart on not too heavy, As usual with some casio watches a pain to set up,and finally the hands would have been much clearer if they had been all blue and not just edged in blue
Great, sturdy watch
Bought this as a gift and it was well received. Very good value and considerably cheaper at the time than G Shock site. Well packaged and great looking watch.
Grea
Looks great even though the girlfriend got it for me for Christmas. So not actually allowed to play with it yet but it looks amazing
Light weigh
Loverly watch. Very light weight. Could still bennifit from a decent back light though but very nice and easy to use very pleased
First – the packaging. The watch is packed in a translucent plastic bag with foam packing in a metal tin which itself is packed in a box. I though this was a nice touch for a watch of this price. However, the watch was a gift for my daughter and while she is very pleased with the watch I’m not sure it gets to live back in the tin at the end of the day.
This G-Shock is slightly smaller in size than some of the other G-Shock models and that appealed to my daughter.
The watch performs as expected and it’s too early to say what the battery life will be like, though my daughter doesn’t use the alarm.
Fast and safe dilivery
Great watch. I use it for daily watch, going for swim etc
I like the overall design of this series of g-shocks. They are lighter, better fitting for people with small wrists and a very good price for people wanting to start with g-shocks. For the price you will see a few cheaper parts to the watch but again it keeps the cost down.
i like just about everything about this watch, the colour of the strap especially.
Although the digital functions are a little small if you don’t see too well, but this isn’t a problem for me.
I really like the look of the watch and the functions on the digital side are secondary to me.
I have other watches that tick the functional boxes.
……… Well this is most definitely a different kind of breed for a G Shock watch that we are all normally used to with the previous other models from before there’s no more thick resin or metal material anymore it’s now 2019 and Casio are using the all new Carbon Core Guard so this means not having the button guards surrounding the bezel hence making the whole watch much slimmer, lighter and smaller than the older G’s of the past. It feels like this new generation of G Shock watch has been on a diet yet apparently Casio claim it is even more robust than ever more so than any of the other resin and Metal G Shocks? The interchangeable straps are a very neat idea. The buttons are very easy to use and very responsive too with a nice knurl pattern grip on each one. The led light is on the front of the watch however I find that you can accidentally push the button on the front sometimes by mistake? The light though is very good and effective and The illuminous coating on the hour markers are very good to in low light / night time conditions. The straps feel good quality and its now nice to be able to put your watch down flat instead of only being able to have it on its side when taken off your wrist. The buckles on the straps are only made of plastic even though they look robust also there’s no Tough Solar or Waveceptor feature, but Casio do claim the batterys will last for up to 3 years? For the price I don’t think you can really moan to be fair as this is your lowest priced Carbon Fibre watch in the new 2019 range yet it doesn’t look cheap at all. Overall it is a very nice watch with a new complete different design from Casio due to the Carbon Fibre. So it’s Goodbye Resin and Metal materials And it’s Hello Carbon Fibre!!
