Solid construction. Comes with a reflector and LED bead guard. Long mains cable. Bowen’s mount will suit my existing modifiers. The light is brighter than I expected. Great value for money when purchased (135 December 2022). I have yet to give it a proper workout.

Okay, this light is SO powerful it perfectly lights up a medium sized bedroom (which is what I used for my office). Using this light in conjunction with a soft box has been a game-changer for my videos. The quality of the lighting in the videos is amazing and it makes my course videos look so much more professional! Highly recommend this. If you want to light larger rooms or more than 1 or 2 people I’d go with the more powerful models. But for us…this is perfect!

These are really remarkable lights, with a great quality of light and good colour rendition.

I have been using this light for studio portraiture and product photography tests, combined with another brand’s fresnel adapter and a soft frost filter.

With a fresnel the light is controllable and just bright enough for portraits at relatively low ISO (ISO 200, f/4 or so). The fresnel allows you to concentrate enough light in a controllable way, making the light effectively brighter and giving quite a good Hollywood-style effect, as well as beautiful shadows.

Without a fresnel it may be inappropriate for still portraits unless you’re comfortable using much higher ISOs. This is because the bare chip produces too hard a light and is painfully bright on the eyes, but once you bounce or diffuse it to soften it, you have spent a lot of the light’s power.

A simple clip-on frost diffuser may be enough to take the harsh edge off the bare chip’s light. You may also find this useful for addressing the secondary shadow that can be caused by the rim of the reflector.

None of these concerns matter so much for video where you’ll likely be using higher ISOs and slower shutter speeds; the one concern would be the fan, which is not very loud.

    Good light.

Just wanted to mention that in product description they say that it doesn’t include remote.
In my case it did, and if in your case it won’t, just get a Godox RC-A5 remote on eBay for 10.

Overall 4/5 stars for it being little bit noisy, but I’m a beginner so I can’t compare.

Very good lite for that price. Can be a little bit noisy but if you film with decent microphone it’s not an issue

Like many people, I have been working from home over the past few months.

I needed a video light to up the quality of my Skype calls.
The Godox SL60W fits the bill perfectly, its bright and not to loud in operation.

The Bowen mount sounds wonderful, but you need a decent light stand to use it.
With a large softbox you want a C-Stand with sand bag to stop the thing toppling over.
In the end I settled for using a basic shoot through umbella as a diffuser.
Works very well and my Skpe calls look much better.

The remote is handy as I can turn the light on with a simple button when making a call.

This is one of the momst popular video lights there is at the moment.
It’s easy to see why, buy it and be happy.

Perfect for home office Skype calls

What a great light this is, really bright clean light. Fits all my modifiers perfect and doesn’t get to hot in use. Mild fan noise but it won’t be an issue in 80% of my work

I wasn’t expecting to receive such a good quality. Do not underestimate since the low price, this is a good studio light.

This is a great light for the price! Yes, the fan is a little noisy but that is neither here nor there as far as I am concerned. There are a couple of “how-to – replace it with a quiet one” on youtube, if it matters to you.
It’s just so, let us say, inexpensive compared to the competition. Robust construction, very easy to use and gives off nice clean light. I highly recommend i

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat light, but it’s a shame the remote control isn’t sync’d to the light. If the light is at 40% and the remote was last used to set the light to 80% then you press the +/- on the remote to increase/decrease the brightness and the light jumps to 80% (in line with the remote control’s setting) rather than going to 41% as we want

Great light otherwise though and not overly noisy even when it heats up

For this price I am delighted with the output quality, it’s a good professional light that don’t break your bank, if you running a small studio or just starting your studio journey, I highly recommend this light!

I have several LED panels most of which are from China. This also no doubt being a Chinese light. It’s certainly not cheap in quality. I have no doubt it wont be up-to the standards of Arri Joker or even apature but let’s get real for around 100 it’s unlikely to be. LED panels are frustrating as it’s hard to modify the light from hard to soft, but these lights it can be easily modified with photography bowers mount softboxes which there are loads to choose from as well as Fresnals, Snoots, barndoors, Beauty Dish’es, space lights etc …. So purely based on shaping the light this deserves the 5 stars, the colour looks pretty okay I would of guessed it would be 90-94+CRI. The light cant be run from Battery but it can just be hooked up to a UPS if external work required. So I’ll prob get another two at some point and use the panels for lighting up areas such as walls.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI am writing this from a photographers perspective, not a videographers. I bought this to test lighting setups I will be using with portable flash such as the Godox AD200 and not to use on live shoots. Firstly for the money it is well made and I do not find the sound of the fan intrusive at all. The remote control works well and is easy to setup for groups and channels, this is the same with the head itself. The standard Bowens S fitting worked with the modifiers I tried and the light stand mount was strong enough to stop an 80cm popup beauty dish turning the head down.

Light is light and the main issue photographers would find is lack of power. In my testing situation it does not matter as I set the camera to manual and then the shutter speed and aperture to what I will be using with the flash and then put ISO to auto as I am not concerned with ISO noise.

This works really well for me as the images shot of my Dolly Dummy Head with this head are very close to the ones shot with flash. However if you are considering buying this for use on a live model or portrait shoot as a guide you will need to be shooting at F4 1/60th at ISO 400 or 500 with the light at 1m through a shoot through white umbrella.

If you put it through an 80cm softbox with inner and outer diffusers fitted then your ISO is going to be around 1600 with the light on full power at 1m.

Both umbrella and softbox gave nice soft lighting and if you can live with the higher ISO’s then this would offer a suitable alternative to flash. It is also a great learning and teaching tool as of course you can see exactly where the light is falling.

The Godox SL60w for the price is quite good giving a surprising amount of light out for it’s 50watt COB LED. It light output competes with the much more expensive Pixapro 100D mk2, although the Pixapro does have the edge . Plus it take all the Bowen S mount accessories. Where it does fall down though is the fan noise which although is not great is nowhere as quite as the more expensive Pixapro. The operation of the the SL60w with the remote control is very good with a very good range & very responsive. So for about 100 that you can get this light for it’s one of the best in it’s range. Just remember to be careful where you place it with the noise of the fan. If the fan noise puts you off then spend an extra 200 on the Pixapro 100D mk2.

decent enough. slight magenta tint. bought two, one had to be sent back immediately and i was only offered a refund. even light illumination but would be better if it had a lens on the cob. i tried it with a fresnel adapter and the cob tends to show up as a series of lines.
