Absolute Game Change
I have been contemplating for years on whether to invest in one or not. I’m so glad I did and so glad I chose this one. Very easy to use. Have made roasts, chicken and fries in it so far and 5.5l is more than enough space for my and my family. If you are filling the tray I would recommend that you shake it a little more often than the poorly written user guide states, but well worth it!
Easy to use
This is great for me as I have a big family and don’t always have enough room in the oven to fit everyone’s food in. I cook everything in this. Nuggets, sausages, savoury waffles, burgers etc. it’s huge too and fits almost a full bag of chips in.
It’s simple enough for my teenage kids to use and they do actually use it every day, as do. It’s so much less hassle than the oven or hob! Load it up with food, select the temperature and cooking time and press go. Easy.
Simple to clean too, takes 5 minutes in the kitchen sink.

Die Heiluftfritteuse oder man kann auch schon von einem Ofen sprechen.
Man kann in ihr wirklich alles kochen backen Frittieren und das ohne l nach Belieben.
Ich hatte vorher eine kleine Heiss Luft Fritteuse aber da passte nicht vill rein.diese hier hat stolze 1500 Watt und ein mchtiges Volumen von 15l.
Das Gert kommt mit viel Zubehr wie 2 Handschuhen und mehreren verschieden Blechen.
Betrieben wird das ganze ber ein schnes und beleuchtetes Touch-Panel.
Voreingestellte Programme fr die meisten Mens sind bereits per Touchfeld direkt auswhlbar.
Alternativ kann man die Hitze stufenlos als auch die Zeit einstellen.
Das Licht kann manuell zugeschaltet werden als auch deaktiviert.
Wir haben es zum Brtchen backen genutzt als Toaster als auch fr Kuchen und Hhnchen uns alles in bester Zufriedenheit.

Gute Endergebnisse
Die Heiluftfritteuse von Golmezil ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Alle Stellen machen einen wertigen Eindruck auf mich und mir sind auf den ersten Anblick auch keinerlei Fehler in der Verarbeitung aufgefallen. Optisch gefllt mir die Heiluftfritteuse auch sehr gut. Sie ist nicht zu gro und sie passt auch gut in meine Kche.
Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach. An der Vorderseite kann ich einfach mein Programm auswhlen oder manuell die Temperatur und den Timer einstellen. Bei der Eingabe gab es bisher keinerlei Probleme und die vorgegebenen 8 Programme reichen fr meine Ansprche vollkommen aus.
Ich habe die Heiluftfritteuse nun schon ein paar Mal ausprobiert und bisher bin ich mit den Ergebnissen zufrieden. Als es Letzens Burger gab habe ich die Pommes in ihr zubereitet und diese schmecken eigentlich genauso als wrde ich sie in der normalen Fritteuse machen. Sie sind knackig und sie haben eine gute Konsistenz. Aber auch Brtchen habe ich schon in der Heiluftfritteuse aufgebacken und diese haben auch super geschmeckt. Einsatzmglichkeiten gibt es bei der Heiluftfritteuse also ziemlich viele.
Reinigen lsst sich die Heiluftfritteuse auch sehr einfach. Alle Stellen sind gut erreichbar, so dass das subern immer schnell und problemlos funktioniert.
Fazit:
Ich bin mit der Heiluftfritteuse ziemlich zufrieden. Sie funktioniert einwandfrei und das Essen schmeckte bisher auch immer sehr gut. Qualitativ berzeugt sie mich auch und daher kann ich sie soweit auch weiterempfehlen.
Super Gerä
Diese Heiluftfritteuse gefllt uns von der Optik her schon mal sehr gut. Denn sie sieht sehr wertig aus und ist tadellos verarbeitet.
Ausprobiert wurde sie natrlich mit Pommes, die ohne l und fast ohne jegliche Geruchsbildung im Handumdrehen zubereitet wurden. Das Gert ist wohltuend leise, denn es gibt nur ein harmloses Surren von sich. Ausserdem hat es einen berhitzungsschutz und eine Abschaltautomatik fr wirklich sicheren Gebrauch.
Die Reinigung von Wanne und Korb ist in der Splmaschine problemlos mglich.

Air fried food tastes amazing!
I’ve heard great things about air dried food in the past, and now I know why. We are a family of 4 so would need a large air fryer in order to feed us all. This is an XXL 5.5L sized air fryer. Whilst it does take up a bit of room on the worktop, I have to honestly say the food does taste amazing! The instructions are really good and self explanatory, but very informative. There is also a handy recipe book too which comes with it. Who knew you could bake a cake in an air fryer!!? That’s next on the list to try. We’ve tried the usual potato waffles and fish, roast potatoes, and baked potatoes taste absolutely amazing. Crunchy skins and soft fluffy insides. The temperature only goes up to 200, so if you were using a recipe that needed a slightly higher temp you would potentially have to cook it slightly longer.
There’s two school of thought for air fryers to preheat or not preheat. We don’t tend to preheat but if converting a normally oven baked food, we would cook it slightly longer in the air fryer. The roast potatoes turned good, but could have either gone with preheating, or cooked slightly longer. Other than that it’s really easy to operate, the touch controls on the front are really easy to press too.
GOLMEZIL Air Fryer Wished Instructions Were Done Properly but Great Device
What you have to remember is not to overfill it nor put it on the heat up cycle then the time needed for chips else they might end up too well done. We’ve tried doing it both way as the item itself has a built in heating up time whilst cooking the chips we’ve found.
It’s a well built product such a lot of time must have gone into designing it. Just a shame that they didn’t get a company to write the instructions in proper English as some of the instructions do make you read them more than once. I think with the way they are done it makes it sound an inferior product of which it certainly is not. Seems like money and time spent on designing this as all bits and parts on it seem great quality it’s just the instructions. Think that if it it were redone it would sell more too as would look more like the big brands. It’s not cheap and nasty. Not cheap at all but weighing up the pros and cons of this compared to a deep fat fryer it wins every time.
It has a count down display on the front with little icons sometimes these don’t always correspond with the booklet but on the whole they do.
The chips we are having done in it are pretty good none greasy, not burnt and portions spot on for OH and myself means we can have a side order of fries or chips done quickly.
No smelly oils or fat and no steam or anything that causes a mess. Plus safer to use than a deep fat fryer plus healthier.
It’s a heavy beast so you need a heavy weight bearing shelf for it or worktop.
Cleaning is easy to do and even a health gym bunny not me but son thinks it’s a nifty big of kit.
Auch zum Brot backe
Die GOLMEZIL Air Fryer Heiluftfritteuse 5,5L ist echt stark.
Pommes und Rippchen sind kein Problem und schmecken richtig gut.
Ich benutze sie auch zum Brot backen und da ist sie einfach klasse.
Sie ist von guter Qualitt, nur am Anfang riecht sie etwas.
Die Reinigung von Korb und Wanne ist problemlos in der Splmaschine mglich.

Ideal für die Winterzei
Auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten Heiluftfritteuse bin ich durch Zufall ber diese hier gestolpert. Heiluftfritteusen sind mittlerweile kein Geheimtipp mehr und zahlreich vertreten. Bei diesem Modell hat mich der bersichtlich gestaltete Touchdisplay berzeugt.
Bestellt, ausgepackt und direkt in Augenschein genommen zeichnet sich diese Heiluftfritteuse durch bestechende Schlichtheit aus. Ins Auge fllt direkt der groe Bedienbildschirm, der via Touch verlsslich Anweisungen entgegennimmt. Was mir hier besonders gefllt ist die schlichte Anordnung: Gro und visuell sehr gut zu sehen sind die Zeit- und Temperaturanzeige, jeweils mit einem “Plus” bzw. “Minuszeichen” versehen zur manuellen Steuerung. Zustzlich sind noch ein paar ausgewhlte Programme vorhanden, die auf Knopfdruck eine passende Temperatur- sowie Zeiteinstellung vornehmen. Fr mich jedoch nicht wirklich relevant, da ich gern selbst einstelle. Die Toucheingabe verluft ohne Probleme. Ich konnte keine Verzgerung feststellen.
Vor dem ersten Betrieb mit Grillgut sollte man die Heiluftfritteuse einmal kurz auswaschen und dann leer auf die hchste Stufe stellen und fr mind. 20 Minuten laufen lassen, sodass sie ausdnsten kann. Hierfr bitte die Dunstabzugshaube einschalten, bzw. das Fenster ffnen.
Das eigentliche “frittieren” gestaltet sich sehr einfach:
1. Einsatzteil herausnehmen und Grillgut einfllen und ab zurck in die Heiluftfritteuse
2. gewnschte Zeit und Temperatur auswhlen und starten
3. nach Ablauf der Zeit erfolgt mehrmals ein schriller (unberhrbarer) Ton, um anzuzeigen, dass die Heiluftfritteuse fertig ist.
4. Das Einsatzteil herausnehmen und Grillgut entnehmen
5. Zur spteren Reinigung das Gitter von dem Boden entfernen. Nach erfolgter Reinigung einfach wieder einsetzen.
Ergebnisse:
Die Grillergebnisse berzeugen mich komplett. Schn knusprig und das alles ohne Fett – herrlich! Auch von der Zeit bis zum Aufheizen ist es mehr als akzeptabel. Die Temperatureinstellung von 40-200 Grad reicht fr mich. Zustzlich verfgt die Heiluftfritteuse noch ber sowohl eine Vorheiz- als auch Warmhaltefunktion – praktisch!
Fazit:
Nach mittlerweile drei Einstzen bin ich nach wie vor von der Heiluftfritteuse berzeugt und kann diese uneingeschrnkt weiterempfehlen. Der Preis von 120 EUR ist fr mich etwas zu viel, fair wren 100 EUR. Die Langlebigkeit wird sich – wie bei allen Produkten – erst im Laufe der Zeit offenbaren…
Fab large size air frye
This Air fryer really looks the part on my counter top, it feels and looks great quality. I have only made chips & fish fingers in this so far and found it easy to use with its pre set programmes, be sure to give the basket a good shake every so often to ensure food is evenly cooked. Chips are delicious, golden brown and light & fluffy inside. It is a good large size for my greedy family of 5 and cleaning is a breeze, I just remove and wash the basket in the sink and then wipe around the inside with a cloth and then dry with another cloth. I have never owned one of these before so I cannot compare it with another, but I think this is a superb addition to any kitchen.

Fazit
Klare Kaufempfehlung
Diese Heiluftfritteuse besticht durch ein tolles Design, die sehr hochwertige Materialanmutung und die perfekte Funktion. Ich besitze so manches Kchengert. Aber in diesem Preissegment habe ich solch ein tolles Gert nicht erwartet. Es kommt fast nur fr Pommes und Bratwrste zum Einsatz. Und das alles ohne l und Geruchsbildung. Wegen der berragenden Qualitt gebe ich die vollen 5 Sterne Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
A great air frye
Although I already owned a Tefal air fryer, I was rather pleased with the far greater capacity of this model. At 6.5 litres, there’s space for enough tins to give even a top professional darts player a meaningful hangover. Not that you would want to pour thirteen cans of lager into the device, mind. Although I’m quite partial so some beer battered onion rings, I wouldn’t advise pouring on more than a swig or so of ale. If you’re cooking for yourself then you could measure it into your mouth and then simply spit it back into the batter. However, if you work in a commercial kitchen with health and safety practises, you’ll need to estimate the equivalent to a swig’s worth, via a brief pour.
Anyway, the device has proved to be very effective, with a nice even quality to the cooking. The large basket leaves plenty of space to ensure that food is properly exposed to the airflow. It’s generally easiest to cook oven chips within, although you can also do potato from scratch. If doing so, my advice would be to get one of those devices that sprays olive oil upon the chips. In this case, I definitely wouldn’t advise taking the oil into your mouth and spitting it over the chips. Even if you were to pucker your lips and blow it via a raspberry, it’s simply too difficult to make a fine spray. This method will not coat the chips with sufficient evenness. What you want is an oil sprayer that is designed to produce an oily mist.
On the slight downside, I don’t particularly like how the device has a preheat period before the timer begins to run down. I am used to just throwing everything in and allowing any preheating to be part of the timing. Seeing as that process is rather slow, I now have to wait for the initial alarm to sound before I put my food in, before then waiting for the timer to run down. Indeed, the following quote from the blurb is thus more than a little hypocritical:
“When the cooking time has expired and the hot air fryer makes a beep, a unique taste experience awaits you.”
After I’ve had to wait for the device to both preheat and cook my food, I think you’ll find that it’s *me* who has been “awaiting”, thank you very much. I’ll not have the unique taste experience start behaving as if it’s been the one that was sat about on its backside, wondering when I’d pull my finger out (of mine). However, if you’re patient then you can at least expect your wait to be rewarded with some chips.
Gutes Gerä
Bisher haben wir immer in einer konventionellen Fritteuse unsere Pommes zubereitet.
Eine Heiluftfritteuse wie diese hier stellt eine Variante, um diese auerhalb des Backofens trotz allem fett-/lfrei hinzubekommen.
Natrlich ist es wichtig, die richtigen Pommes dafr zu finden. wir haben diesbezglich etwas herumprobiert und nun eine Sorte gefunden, die super lecker wird. Mittlerweile gibt es aber auf vielen TK-Produkten schon Zubereitungshinweise fr Heiluftfritteusen.
Die Fritteuse selbst macht einen ganz guten Eindruck. Das Touch-Display ist relativ gro und gut zu bedienen. Es gibt die Mglichkeit, voreingestellte Programme zu nutzen, aber auch eigene Einstellungen sind mglich. Diese haben wir immer gemacht, da wir mit den Programmen kein zufriedenstellendes Ergebnis bekommen haben.
So bin ich mittlerweile mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.
Das Gert kann auch andere Dinge, wie Hhnchen zubereiten, was wir aber nicht probiert haben. Wir nutzen sie nur fr Kartoffelprodukte.

Better then the airfryer I had which was a masterchef one, this is huge and every Monday we have family night so this has been perfect for that, has a huge capacity looks and feels sleek, easy to use does take up more space but that’s a given, really pleased
Fabulous airfrye
This is a really sleek looking air fryer that is perfect for any kitchen. It has a really nice capacity and is perfect for frying anything you can think of! It makes food crispy with little or no oil.
It is very simple to use and it is easy to clean. So far everything I have made has come out perfect.
The price is comparable with others on the market making this excellent value for money.
Not as good as Tefal Actifry
I have a Tefal Airfryer which is fantastic. This is fine if you cant afford a Tefal one, but the Tefal is far superior.
This is fine dont get me wrong, however because it doesnt have a turner function you need to pause the program and shake or turn over the items in the basket because if you dont it wont cook evenly. In comaprison the Tefal constantly moves the food around for an even cook.
This has a variable temperature option which i dont like because it makes cooking things too tricky, there is an interesting booklet that comes with it, but it hasnt been translated well, i love how they describe Lamb as “The Sheep”
At time of writing this was more expensive than a Tefal easyfry and tower airfryers and i dont think its worth it.

I’ve always wanted an air fryer but generally any I’ve seen have been too small or too large… especially when taking into consideration the space needed on the counter. This one was perfect in shape and design and size. A 5.5L, metallic and black, with a digital face. I’m so glad it came with instructions because it isn’t the easiest to use without them. The screen does have pictures, little icons with chips, fish, chicken etc that you can set to cook those products to the right degree and time. It does require you to preheat it for five minutes before you cook. I tried making chips without an oil but they didn’t really come out as tasty as advertised. The next time I added a tiny spoon of oil and it definitely helped. This is one of the lesser known models but it is a great machine. It’s certainly more healthy than the alternative. It’s so easy to clean and keep clean. If you read the instructions they also come with recipes and all the things you can make and bake in the air fryer. It’s definitely worth the money when you think of how quick and efficient you can cook and with the added health benefits. I love it. And it doesn’t leave a greasy scent lingering in the house.

Not being a big brand name i was a bit skeptical when we got this air fryer,but turns back that i was
wrong this its actually a really amazing machine. And can make some amazing dishes without a drop
of oil.The chicken and the chips are so good without oil and i didn’t know it. It is very easy to use it has
a few pre setted programs,but its coming with a book with a lot of recipes it has a display where you can
set your own temperature and how many minutes you want.When i used for chicken and chips half way
to the program it start bipping which let me know its time to turn the chicken pieces on the other side
and the chips to shake them.I would advise that when you use the fryer to keep him away from other
appliances because it can get a bit hot when its used for longer.I can say that me and my wife we are very
happy with the performance of this fryer and we do recommend it.
Does good job
Amazing quality for price. My chips turned nice and Fluffy inside and crisp on outside. Easy to use and trays can be washed in dishwasher. This is descent quality airfryer compared to big brands.
Uses much less oil, healthy and saving money
For a family of four, I feel like this is a little big but honestly it leaves so much options for cooking for more. Easy to follow instructions make using the air fryer a breeze.
Simply remove all cardboard/plastic packaging, plug into power and press power switch. The air fryer is all touch screen (pics of items you want to cook, chips, pizza, fish etc), simply press what you want to cook and it has a preset time and temperature. This can be adjusted by pressing the +-.
It is recommend to preheat the air fryer before cooking for best results. It is so easy to clean as everything pops out with ease.
On the first use I could have done with shaking the chips a lot better. The top ones were excellent and tasted exactly like popular burger joint fries. However, the bottom ones, although they were cooked were a little pale on the outside.
Definitely will be replacing my chip pan with this, much less oil is used so safer and much healthier and a lot less hassle to clean.
I’m excited to try some of the recipes that came in the handy little book that comes with it. 5*
Great flexible cooker without the mess or additional calories.
Golmezil Air Fryer 1500W : I have a rather antiquated air fryer which I love but every time I use it it seems that another bit falls off. So was delighted to have the chance to try this more modern version. My old fryer is limited to what it can cook as it has a rotating paddle so only certain foods are appropriate, not so with this machine as it has a static basket which will take any number of food options.
While it has a larger capacity than my elderly fryer it doesn’t take up any additional counter space, it’s a bit taller but sits neatly under my cupboards as the basket pulls out rather than having a lid which lifts up. The LED display clearly identifies a range of menu cooking times and temps, however you can also go “off-piste” and set your own desired temp and timings, the default for which is 180c. It does suggest warming up, which I’m not used to but not a big deal.
I’ve obviously cooked the “mandatory chips” which were actually much nicer than I’m used to as they crisped and browned better, also cooked some home made southern fried chicken, sausages and burgers ( these were a little dry and I think timing needs to be adjusted as these were butchers skinny burgers and had less fat than many branded types) on the whole all items have been easy to cook and come out well and with minimal added oil. I think the best advise is not to overload the basket, It seems the hot air can circulate better and so cooks more evenly.
The baskets can go in the dishwasher if preferred, but easy enough to wash in hot soapy water and probably less damaging in the long term. The instruction booklet also provides some interesting recipes, many of which I wouldn’t have thought of trying but I intend to. While there are a couple of language discrepancies, I’ve seen worse and instructions are perfectly understandable.
For the money I think this is a good machine (89.99 at time of review) it cooks a wide range of food options quickly, cleanly and without busting the calories on oil. Great item.
Good looking and working well
That’s my first air fryer.. I’ve been thinking of getting one before but just never really came around it..
When I’ve been offered Gelmezil oil free air fryer I didnt hesitate any longer.. its time to finally try new stuff and get used to healthier eating. It’s not like I dont healthy, but sometimes I allow myself some oven baked meal from frozen..
Any way, when this fryer arrived i was impressed how good it looks and it’s quite big too.
Air fryer is easy to use but we should take special care when using it as the fryer gets very got. When reading the instruction i found rhat it needs to be 35cm away from any objects when fryer is in use. So we can put it on kitchen worktop’s edge as its 60cm wide so 35cm of free space giving us 25cm by the edge for fryer to stand.. I dont think it’s very safe neither.. having cupboards above the fryer it’s also a risky thing.. open area would be ideal…
The instruction itself has many translation mistakes but I understand..
Instruction also tells how long certain food should be cooked but as soon as we pick the product we want to cook on the touch pad of the fryer, it comes with pre-set timer, which still, we can adjust manually when needed.
After cooking we should remember that basket and pan inside is still very hot and oven glove should be used.
The food coming out of the air fryer is surprisingly good, tastier and more crunchy. I wont be using deep oil fryer any more, as this gives me better results..and healthier too.
With handy food recipe booklet we can try new food, that’s very interesting.
Seeing many air fryers on the market now, some cheaper, some branded more expensive, I can admit that I’m glad I own one fryer now. If I didnt have one yet, I would probably get a branded one any time soon..
Price for this 5.5l fryer is a bit high, not much away from branded one though..
This is such a fab air fryer. Something I’d heard mentioned before but never really looked into it before ordering this- and I’m so glad I ordered it. As it happens I took it to my parents house for them to experiment with it and they have claimed it for their own- they are that impressed with it.
What a absolute brilliant alternative to the dangerous chip pans. Or, if you are like me, a far quicker way to do things like chips than part boiling and oven baking them.
However this isn’t only for chips (although that is the main thing my parents have been using this for), it can do so many things. Comes with its own clear instruction manual that details how you can make items with this, from chips, to meat, to baking cakes.
I’ve attached pictures of making chips. You literally cut the potatoes, add 1tbs of oil/salt/paprika, mix it all together, put in the basket, then 13 minutes later the chips are ready (see pics) and they are yummy! The very limited amount of oil used is the same in a lot of other recipes, making it a nice healthy alternative.
The machine is touch screen and very self explanatory. The basket disconnects from itself so you can clean out the inner basket after use. This is super easy. Reminds me of a good quality tefal pan, where you hardly scrub it and it’s clean. Cleaning the rest of it is just as easy (as it doesn’t make mess)- you can literally just wipe it around.
It comes with a clear warning that it does get very hot so you should make sure it has nothing in a 30cm radius around it. I accidentally had my parents toaster too close to it and it started to overheat the toaster- lesson learnt.
It says it can replace your microwave and cooker and I actually think it could achieve that. Makes me think how handy this would be for students or someone moving into a flat that has little appliances. I doubt you could take it camping as it’s quite big and would require quite a bit of power- but I haven’t tried that out so never say never.
Priced at 80 feels good value for money for the quality of the item and the amount of things it can do.
Overall we (my parents especially who have robbed this from me) have been very impressed with this and would be happy to recommend.

I love fried food, but I prefer eating healthy, as well. So, using an air fryer is my best option.
When I was new to using air fryers, my first consideration was the price as I don’t want to buy something expensive and may regret if I won’t be able to utilize it properly.
Comparing this product with my Digital Tower Air Fryer, I could say that I like this better. This air fryer is more efficient to use. It needs to be pre-heated like an oven, which I never thought of doing with my Tower. It gives a better result by not burning the breadcrumbs of my cotoletta. I’ve done the same procedure as to how I did with my Tower that I needed to constantly check to make sure that the breadcrumbs won’t burn.
It gives a perfect texture, crunchiness, properly cooked insides. But just to make sure, you can always use a food thermometer.
The LED display is easy to read. What’s best is it tells me when to shake or turn the food, which I find amazing. The recipe book is a great help as well.
I’m ditching my Tower for this. Recommendable.
pretty compact for the capacity
We’ve been transitioning away from oil frying for a while and used our combo micro to roast the chips etc
After looking at air fryers for a bit and being skeptical I finally thought we would try it out
Firstly I must say that the results are amazingly crisp and done pretty quickly. This comes with a few presets for things like chicken, chips and cakes, so that takes the guesswork out of its a bit
Pros:
-very crisp results as long as you remember to flip larger food over
-pretty quick
-nice big capacity
Cons:
-gets pretty hot, including underneath. to the point we’ve put ours on a heatproof board
-new factory smell when initially cooking took a while to go
-lack of multilayer stacking tray to allow more things to be cooked without stacking them together
overall I am very impressed with this. I’m glad I found a spot away from under the cabinets as I imagine they would have gotten very hot
price wise its not the cheapest but it has that large capacity and we haven’t used any extra oil as some others require you to do
brilliant air frye
I am so pleased with this Air Fryer, I thought I would try it out with bacon for breakfast first and it was amazing best cooked bacon I have tasted. even cheese on toast was amazing.
It is quick and easy to use, with clear instructions and a nice little recipe book, and a decent size.
As we are trying to eat healthily this will be the perfect thing to cook everything in, we will be using it a lot more now we know how good it is, no more burning your arm on the oven when trying to get stuff out, easy to clean and no mess.
I would highly recommend this item!
An effective good quality air frye
This air fryer arrived well packaged and with great instructions. I found the instructions super easy to follow with simple instructions on how to use the air fryer and how to use the settings etc. It took me 3 mins to scan the manual and work out how to operate the machine which is exactly what I want from my instructions. I used it took cook some french fries and selecting the right temperature and cooking option was straight forward. I checked on the chips about 15 mins in which is great as you just pull out the handle and this exposes the fryer with the chips in. So extremely safe and no spillages or accidental burns like when using the oven. They needed a few more minutes so you simply just put the fryer back in and the digital settings continue with the countdown. The end product was delicious french fries cooked perfectly. So the air fryer did exactly what I wanted, the noise wasn’t excessive and there is no mess. So a great product with excellent digital display and it also looks modern so not out of place in the kitchen. I have given it 4 stars as I feel the price is rather high but if you are happy to pay this price you won’t be disappointed. Oh and it’s dishwasher friendly.

Put simply; I love my air fryer. Its healthier compared to frying and oven baking, as you don’t add oils/fat or grease the basket to prepare the food. It takes less time to prepare food; for example, we used to buy oven bake wedges which took 50 minutes to cook, but now I cut a potato into wedges, pop them in the air fryer for 20 minutes and they are ready. Washing up in so quick now; there’s no pans or trays to scrub, just use a soapy cloth to wipe the removable basket (don’t place in a dishwasher, as it’ll damage the non-stick coating).
Very useful appliance
It’s a very useful appliance. Replaced our worn out basic actifry. We use it most days, very rarely use our oven, its so easy to use, Just chuck in and cook, no need to watch over. Also everything is healthier than deep fried and it gives fantastic results every time.
I’ve used it for fried rice, stir frys, crispy kale chips & roasted chickpeas..However, the manual isn’t that great though, as it should be much more clear about using the dual cooking etc, so some programs probably don’t use the manual but I can’t see details of what each program does, in terms of the temp. Yes it’s pricey but worth it!
I was sent this GOLMEZIL 5.5L air fryer for free to test and review as part of the Amazon Vine programme. We have been thinking of replacing our small deep fat fryer with an air fryer for some time. The reasons are probably obvious in that deep fat fried food is unhealthy and the smell associated with cooking these foods in a kitchen is not altogether pleasant.
When the air fryer arrived, we unpacked it from the polystyrene packaging and thick cardboard box. Apart from the air fryer, there was an instruction manual and a small recipe booklet. The instruction manual advised wiping over the air fryer inside and out before first using. We did this with a damp cloth with some mild detergent and then wiped over with a clean damp cloth before drying with paper towel. You cannot submerge or put any part of the air fryer in a bowl of soapy water or a dishwasher — it’s not recommended. We also put the air fryer on a short cooking cycle (please note: this is *not* recommended or suggested in the instruction manual) to rid it of any remaining oily residue from the manufacturing process.
The instruction manual is quite basic and in the main it is easy to follow, but some of the words are obviously translated from another language and are not quite accurate but it’s not an issue as you get the gist of the meaning. We’ve not utilised the cookery booklet as yet, but there is a nice selection of recipes in it so we will probably try a few of them.
The air fryer is fairly large capacity (5.5L) and is a fair size overall, but it fit well on the part of the kitchen work surface where we had a small deep fat fryer so if you’re doing similar, replacing a deep fat fryer with an air fryer, then it should hopefully work on your kitchen worktop as well.
For our test run, we decided to cook some semi-frozen sausages. As it’s an oil free air fryer, you literally put the sausages straight into the basket and close the air fryer. You then select the appropriate menu button on the LED screen on the front of the air dryer and it automatically selects the temperature and time of cooking. You press the start button on the LED screen to start the process.
The menu buttons show a selection of foods, but if you want to do it manually then the default setting is 180 degrees for 15 minutes, or you can adjust the temperature and time of cooking before pressing the start button. You can pause or stop the cooking process at any point. The LED screen also shows you how much cooking time is left and beeps to let you know when the process is complete.
Re: the test run. The sausages turned out really well and were, as you would expect, not at all greasy. They were golden brown and very slightly crispy on the outside and thoroughly cooked in the centre. They took about 20-25 minutes to cook.
This air fryer is currently retailing for about 89.99 (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) which seems fairly reasonable for its build quality and usefulness. We are pleased with this product and we are happy to recommend.
