I try not to kneel when gardening – or at least I used to. Now I have this thick and sturdy mat, it’s much more comfortable to do so, which makes weeding in particular less of a chore.

I like the design and the construction is good but I have to question the pocket, and especially the colour of the pocket – cream? really?

At 17.99 at time of writing this isn’t the cheapest kneeler out there but it should give many years service.

This has been invaluable for my mother in law to use in the garden, giving her a degree of comfort as she kneels to undertaken gardening tasks. If it gets grubby, she wipes it down with a soapy cloth

Anything that saves the knees at my age and this is handy ..I use it on top of a low stool for weeding etc. its so handy for the knees or rear end.
BUT! far too expensive for a small cushion at almost 17!!

This is a seriously comfortable kneeling pad. I was concerned the canvas outer layer might absorb water so it does a really good job at staying waterproof. The filling is generously thick, it’s dense enough to not feel the rough solid floor even under my full weight but soft enough to provide supportive cushioning. I did take the photo’s on my review indoors but I can say that we have and do use it in the actual garden. It’s in a totally different league to the old green foam one-piece one we replaced – it’s so much more comfortable but equally as convenient to move around because it still comes with a carry handle.

So much better than green foam ones, this is dense, supportive and comfortable.

Ideal for tasks in the garden or around the house, this kneeling pad is very comfortable and well made and seem robust enough to stand up to regular usage, so I’m hoping to get a few years out of it.

Good value at their current price of around 17, so I’d definitely recommend.

This is a sturdy, well made and practical gardening pad. It’s thick and well stitched which makes me believe it will be hardwearing. The pad has a handle and is lightweight, so it’s easy to carry. Good value overall

Excellent knee padding for gardening. Been using this to remove weed off my garden. It is comfortable and durable. Feels like a great investment if you do gardening often.
I feel I will keep on top of weeding my garden now I have a simple and comfortable way of doing it.

This is a useful piece of gardening equipment which is light enough to carry around but solid enough to really ease the potential strain on the knees from constant kneeling over flower beds. This is a lot firmer than the usual rubber pads and is more resilient to uneven ground.
Of course, the usefulness also extends to other work around the house. For the older knees it makes it a lot easier to kneel on the floor (carpeted or not) so it is worth considering as part of your do-it-yourself accessories. The strap makes it easy to carry in hand or over shoulder.
Price is a bit more expensive than other options but there is value in it so it can be justified.

    Thick but lightweight to carry.
Easy on the arms with carrying handles. I haven’t got to put it between my arms and chest to free up my hands for other items.
No plastic Canvas cover that will stain but is water resistant.
It might not be a bad idea to have the pocket side up and other for the dirty side down.
    So comfortable.

    Save your knees and plane

This Gardening Kneeling pad has changed the way we look at gardening – no more dirty knees or sore backs but hello effortless gardening!
The product is very high quality and super thick, making any gardening job from little to big just as comfortable.
It’s got a lovely colour and materials that make it fit in perfectly in our shed, not to mention the shoulder strap or pocket detail which is a really nice touch and a very handy, practical detail!
We love using it and have already ordered one for the parents.

Honestly the best gardening tool in our shed!

I never knew that a kneeling pad was a thing for gardening, as I only do very basic things in the garden (I’m no green thumb!).

Previously I’ve been using an old matt to kneel on to save my clothes from getting scruffy. When this arrived, I didn’t know how useful it would be and how comfortable! No more sore knees or bruises after weeding.

It’s very good quality, nice and thick and doesn’t feel flimsy. I don’t think this will sag after a few uses and I like that it has a handle to carry it around.

    Highly recommend.

    Game changer!

This is perfect for gardening on your knees without causing pain. It is perfectly cushioned and makes low down jobs much easier. Comes with a handy handle for easy storage. Very pleased with it.

This is smaller than I would have liked but still big enough to comfortably get both knees on.

It is very well padded – nice and thick and definitely protects the knees from hard or rough surfaces making prolonged stints on your knees more bearable.

It’s made of a tough canvass material with flawless stitching and looks very durable and well made.

There is a pocket on one side for storing essential tools or gloves and a carrying handle which can be used for hanging.
I’m a bit concerned though about leaving the secateurs in the pocket and kneeling on them – it won’t do my knees or the secateurs any good. I’ll probably just keep gloves in there…

The canvass material does attract dirt and is not as easy to clean as say – plastic, but it looks much better and with a bit of soapy water it does come out easily enough.

At 17.99 it’s not over priced. There are cheaper plasticcy ones about but the quality, design and feel of this one does warrant the few extra quid.

This kneeler is bigger and twice a thick as I have received in the past. You can kneel on this but it’s also big enough to sit on. It has a carry handle and a pocket on the front. Not too sure what you’re supposed to put in that. The good thing is you can’t feel the ground, but the bad thing is it’s a little firm.

This 2″ thick kneeling pad in a dark sand colour is very shock absorbing and comfortable to kneel on. A decent size at 40x25cm, it’s lightweight and easy to carry with the attached black vinyl handle and it looks good. It can even be carried conveniently over the shoulder if the top of your arm isn’t too big.

On the front is a large but slimline pocket which may be useful if you were carrying a weeding tool or trowel around as it could be slipped in there when taking this between different areas of the garden.

This is that rare thing – a kneeling pad that actually works. So many are too thin – and too small – to be useful. The fabric here is a hardwearing PVC backed canvas so it won’t absorb water and it’s easy to wipe clean.

But this is no one trick pony and there are loads of uses this can be put to around the home whether you need to kneel to clean, to organise a kitchen cupboard or undertake DIY. It can be hung up with the extra long handle so it’s easy to store away too.

Designed and made in the UK, this GooD Element kneeling pad is good quality, simple – but works well. It has the feel of an item that should prove long lasting. Given this and its plus points, in my view it’s worth the asking price. Nothing to indicate what exactly the inner pad is made from but whatever it is it’s perfect for kneeling on – firm, supportive and not too soft.

This mat is heavier than any I have used before. The inner must be very dense as you can drop to your knees from standing and not hurt yourself. It is certainly the best for in the garden although it could be used inside when doing diy jobs. It has a carry handle that is a good idea and also a pocket but not sure what that would be used for.
    Highly recommended.

Great, just what I was looking for – great help for those gardening jobs that you just need to get down on the ground for, helps preserve the knees. Good size and cushioning. Carry handle and wipe clean. The pocket is a little annoying though, not necessary. I’m using the other side otherwise it’s slightly uncomfortable to kneel on the seams. Not cheap, but so useful

The GooD ELEMENT Kneeling Pad is a solid 2″ thick pad that protects your knees from damage. It’s covered with a beige-coloured waterproof canvas cover that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and has a long dark brown strap for carrying on your shoulder leaving your hands free. There’s also a beige pocket attached to the front that may be useful although obviously can only hold something flat otherwise it’ll hurt your knees. It’s especially useful as it can be used outdoors in the garden and also indoors wherever you need to kneel. I’ve been a bit dubious about kneeling since having a knee replacement but I feel safe using this pad as it gives enough padding to protect both knees.

    Extra thick kneeling pad!

The photograph on the product page of a gravel garden with wooden sleepers holding in the outer soil was almost a perfect representation of my own garden so it was a good sign for this product as that is exactly what I would want it for.

It’s got a pleasing “sturdiness” to it without it being too heavy to carry around. It’s soft and squeezable in that sense and offers good padding and protection but still retains something of its shape when you are kneeling on it. It’s large enough for both knees.

It stayed in place well on my gravel and I never felt like it was going to slip from underneath me. It’s waterproof too although I don’t think I would be using it in a downpour or anything anyway. Along with outdoor use it would be perfectly good indoors too.

I’m not sure what use the pocket will ever be other than for perhaps storing something in it when I’m not kneeling on it.

This kneeling pad is very well padded which is very comfortable and sturdy. The kneeling pad measures 40cm x 25cm and is 2 inches thick so it’s a great size and it’s very comfortable and well padded. It also comes with a handle which makes it easy to carry and take around the garden with you. Also very lightweight which is brilliant and it’s very easy to wipe down too. The design of this is lovely and I’m really happy with this. Great quality for a good price.

This is definitely of the highest quality. The stitching and canvas are very well made. This Kneeling Pad is 40cm long and 25cm wide so it a nice size for kneeling on but still very portable. The biggest thing is it’s 2 inches thick and firm which I thought at first was a bit too much but it means you could place it on almost an surface and not feel anything through it. I’ll be using this for all sorts of jobs in the garden or diy around the home. Highly recommended and would make a great gift too.

    Very high quality kneeling pad

Beautiful design with modern trendy style. Strong and durable material. Garden knee pad of a convenient shape and size. Quality tailoring. Comfortable and convenient to use. I advice!

This kneeling pad feels a bit like somebody has taken a yoga mat, and wrapped it in a slightly hessian-like outer bag in order to make it an outdoor item- but it works.

It’s fairly firm, but for me that’s ideal- I didn’t want some memory foam style item that would let your knees feel the gravel underneath the mat. It’s broad, with easily enough space for two knees in a kneeling position. I find it comfortable to kneel in, at least as much as anything else I find myself kneeling on- I’m not somebody who’d want to kneel all day, but for the length of time I spend on gardening tasks, this covers it.

The brown is fairly pale, and the choice of colour does seem a little odd, especially with the cream-white pocket. For gardening it gets mucky quickly. But this isn’t an item that’s designed to be kept pristine- it can get dirty and stay dirty, since you’ll probably be leaving it in the shed or by the back door between uses. It’s not an item for showing off!

The handle is a nice addition I suppose, personally I don’t entirely see the point of it as the whole mat isn’t particularly heavy and it’s easy enough to just carry it around as a block, but in some cases it could be handy to hang it on your wrist while carrying other stuff. Or maybe it’ll be handy if you want to hang it on a coat rack between uses. It’s an option to have.

For twenty quid, it does seem a little bit steep for what’s included, especially given the lazy product presentation (a basic clear plastic bag is the only wrapping). However I’m going to give it five stars anyway, on the grounds of comfort, as it’s clear care has been taken to pick the right materials and the right thicknesses to make this a really useful mat.

This is a good size. It has a decent thickness and a firm feel. It has a handle which makes it easy to carry or hang up. It is just the right size for kneeling on and is good for use in the garden or in the house. A good size to use as a cushion to sit on a hard seat or on a picnic as well. Well made, simple and useful. Well pleased.

Feels soft, squishy and comfortable for kneeling on. It is a good size for both knees and it has a pocket on the top, although I’d be worried about kneeling on something in that pocket and hurting my knees. It is made from canvas so I worry about it getting dirty and how to clean it, there aren’t any washing instructions so I don’t know if it can be placed in the washing machine. It could be sponged down but that might not get it properly clean. It has a handy carrying handle so that you can pop it over your arm when you are carrying other things, it’s very lightweight, so it’s not going to dig in and mark your arm, unless you have something very heavy in that pocket, lol.

We have a solid rubber kneeling pad already and this one is bigger and more comfortable than that one, but not as easy to keep clean. I do think it’s expensive at 19.99 (at the time of writing), so hopefully it will last and we will be able to keep it clean. I can’t fault the comfort factor, though.

This is a good kneeler to use in the garden to protect your knees. The foam inner is harder than other kneelers I have used, thicker and actually more supportive as a result. I considered whether a softer foam would be preferable, but the thicker, denser foam that has been used will actually provide better protection for your knees by preventing damage caused by kneeling on stones, concrete, gravel and so on. The foam does give, it just does so in a supportive fashion.

I hurt my knees a few years ago by kneeling on concrete without using any protection. I wish I could go back and use this as it has been a long road to recovery.

I like the wipeable fabric cover, which protects the foam inner. A carry handle makes it easy to grab along with other tools and it is a good size for the task. This should be durable and it is likely to outlive many alternative kneelers that are likely to fall by the wayside, either because they have not been made to the same standard or because this one is far more comfortable and effective in use.

It is a good gift for anyone that gardens.

I found this kneeling pad to be supportive and comfortable with out being too soft that you sink too far into it, I am not a very heavy person. The cover can be wiped clean after use but the material is rough so it is more of a scrub than a wipe and it has a handle to hang it up. It has, to me, an unnecessary pocket at the front but you may find a use for it. Good value to, to me, for what you get.
