This is an excellent quality 3/8 air hose. Very tough yet very flexible. The spring retracting reel is easy to use, it locks on a ratchet mechanism and releases between every 3 or so clicks of the ratchet to wind itself up.
Metal frame is sturdy, the unit is heavy so you won’t drag it around.
The hose has 3/8 BSP male threads.
My only gripe is the leader hose is very short, about 1m and it would be better if this was 2m.

Good build quality, hose is light which is a plus so it does not move around when pulling out hose. Will see how it holds up but very nice so far !
Hose uncoils with little effort. Locks in place well, I’m very happy with this hose reel.
Its a little heavy but for 200 ft hard to beat. It has good retracting and holding strength and the rubber feet are great at holding it in place where you put it down.
Whatever the problem with the latching system was in the past, it has been corrected. 100% great product that works perfectly.
Really handy. Nice to have a 100ft reel of hose that can be moved around my shop. Beats the heck out of packing a pile of tangled up hose around!!!
Heavy duty, high quality right out of the box! All I had to do was install the fittings from the supply line to the reel and then to the working end of the hose – No additional assembly. Quiet, smooth glide with distinct stops and smooth rewind with a simple tug on the hose and rewinds into place without bunching up. Works first time and every time. Fits perfectly on top of my Rolair Compressor. I definitely recommend this hose reel.

This worked great for my air compressor hose. I have a 100 ft hose in my shop. Very good solid reel. Worth the dollars.
Purchased an Amazon warehouse unit, the ratcheting mechanism works fine and I am happy to be using a 100′ hose reel vs my old 25′ unit. I modified mine for ceiling mount (slight welding involved).
Holding up very well. We have had this hose reel for a while now and it is still doing what it’s supposed to. It gets it’s fair share of abuse and keeps on truckin..
I’ve had a manual one for 20 years that accepts 100ft of hose.
I need 100ft for blowing out the sprinkler system, and reaching up the driveway to fill tires.
In the winter, it is hard to get to the air hose reel with the snow blowers in the way.
I can pull out the hose, but can’t get back there to wind it back up.
And being 20yo, it’s still works, got my monies worth out of it.. but time to go, it’s getting cranky.
So are my knuckles with rewinding and how close the crank is to the wall of where it’s mounted.

Ok, but built well.
I built a shelf out of 2×4’s and plywood for it to sit on, at chest height.
With a couple of eye bolts, strapped it in place so it wont pull off the shelf.
Simple build and it holds the Reel’s weight just fine.
The rubber feet almost takes care of it slipping on the plywood, but not taking a chance, 1.75 for a strap at HD and a buck for a couple of eyebolts.
It’s above the snow blowers, easy to pull out, and the self winder is a dream.
So far so great.. expensive but works great.
When pulling out all 100ft, do not not work from the very end, but get back near the reel so as not to stress the entire hose with pulling out on the growing length of 100ft. You can feel the hose stretch.
Pulling out 20-30ft from the very end, seems not to be a problem, get past 50ft, and want to get back to the reel and grab mid hose and start again.
Same for releasing the ratchet spring.
With all 100ft out, I walk the end back to the reel, and pull on the hose near the reel to release and guide the hose back onto the reel.
The rollers work great, but considering the price, there should have been a leader that moves and layers the hose correctly as it rewinds, like you find on a $50 water hose reel.
This was not that big of a consideration for me, and didn’t stop me from buying it, but just saying at this price level.
It is working good. Like the thick hose. Wish it had more mounting capabilities.
So I dont know what some of the negative reviews are all about. I use this thing daily in my mobile detailing business and it’s worked flawlessly since day one. I’ve never had it not wind up or leak air. Hybrid hose is super well made and light weight. Its heavy and stays put while my trailer bounces down the road. Great and well made product.
This is a good heavy duty hose reel. It’s heavy enough to stay where it’s set but light enough to move if needed. The hose is a good quality as well.

Not only a time saver but on construction projects it’s very tidy. Good hose. Retracts good. One thing I’d like to add is some thin diamond plating to place on the top to protect the reel when raining.
Very long & quite useful but there’s one glaring problem for a portable hose reel. The lead in hose is too short. Unless you have an air line connection within 2ft of the floor you can’t use this thing without a table then you risk dragging it off said table to hit the ground. I would’ve installed a longer hose except it doesn’t have a standard lead hose with 2 male 1/4in pipe thread ends. I would use this more often if only they made the hose 6ft instead of 3ft.
The unit has a nice weight to it, can’t be slung around. I will purchase again.
It’s great when you need it. I didn’t think I’d like the light weight hose, but that has grown on me too and isn’t super smelly. I’ve not sent water through it. I may end up doing that, but right now it’s just great to have a long retractable and portable air hose.
Other than that it’s a good product. Just wish such a simple mechanism was QC’d a bit better before they ship em out.
So happy I got this. I had a Husky 100′ cord I bought from Home Depot but every time I used the cord I spent 20 minutes untangling the knots to put it back. The reel is awesome and is so easy to pull and replace the hose when finished. The hose quality is much better then the Husky hose also.
Had around a week and the hose inside the drum is leaking and there is no way to tighten. Dont even think you can change the hose. Update company promply repaced it for me and I’ve had no problem out of new one for several months of using it in my macanic shop.
This is the only decent free-standing hose reel I could find. Like others, I needed to modify the ratcheting hook with a washer. It took about 10 minutes, but I knocked off a star because it should have been properly lined up at the factory.
Great length for my driveway..
You have to watch real when coming back in..
Recoil has worked well, with 100′ out it does the job bringing the air line (which is what I am using it for) back in with little effort, has rewound neatly in place each time

Bought this to use as the hose that my husband fills a horse trough with. I was concerned about hoses lying around in our garage and the chance of tripping over them by us or our grandkids. The rewind function works wonderfully! I feel this was an investment to prevent a broken hip. Would highly recommend. Quality is great!

his is definitely a sturdy hose reel. It’s sold and heavy duty. I like that it’s very long and still 3/8″ in diameter. We use it on our farm every week and it’s help up well this season.

When I took the item out of the box, I followed the instructions. The hose extends from the reel as indicated with clicks every 1/2 turn, but the reel does not stop after the click. So the hose always trys to retract fully back into the reel without tension. On further visual review, there is a spring loaded catch, but it does not properly line up with the reel ratchet. Very disappointed in it not working properly right out of the box. Also it arrived late from Amazon.
Update: March 20,2019-The Ratchet did not work properly on the hose reel. Amazon sent out another reel super fast. The replacement works perfectly and I am very happy with it. It is a well built hose reel and I pulled the hose completely out and it retracts fully. Thank you Amazon for the problem free replacement.
Update: March-2021. Use it every day and works like new. Very satisfied.
Awesome! Building a portable garage and this covers the sight well. 100 ft is a blessing. And it is as beautiful as it looks. I know, time will change that. lol
So easy to pull out. It stops with every pull. Light weight hose but not light all together. Its so heavy duty that I had to physically pick it up to move the whole thing.
