Love it. Have a standard hedge cutter but it was struggling through the larger pieces of hedging. This powers through really easy. Chain has come off a few times, but it is easy to get back on. Need to make sure you use it straight, like a chainsaw, and not sideways, then the chain doesn’t come off.
Easy to use and not too heavy.

The first chainsaw I received didn’t function properly as it would run for about 3 seconds and then trip on overload as if kickback safety feature mechanism was not releasing properly. It is the first defective product I have had from Amazon and I am extremely impressed with them for replacing it so quickly. The replacement is everything I hoped it would be and cut a pile of logs with ease so I rate it and Amerzons response highly.

Great chainsaw, used for cutting timbers and logs for my wood burner and is great. Not tried to take on a tree trunk by on its recent showing it should be capable to tackle smaller trees say 12-14ins in diameter. Happy with product.

All in all a solid piece of kit, easy to use and assemble. The only issue to note is that the chain can come loose if not tensioned correctly, which is the only potential problem. The tensioning system could be a little more robust.

With a few fallen trees to make useable as firewood the chain saw has proved easy to handle and use. You need to order the chain saw oil at the same time to be ready for action. Long lead makes access to power simple. Arrived swiftly.

Tree got blown over in a storm bought this chainsaw and it did a great job. Managed to do most of the tree and chop all branches in to small pieces for firewood with the chain it came with. Bought a new chain to deal with the stump. The saw made it a quick and simple job took 2 hours to chop the whole tree 2 hours to saw all small pieces from branches about 20 minutes on the stump which i just sawn bits off jere and there until it size reduced.

The chainsaw was easy enough to setup I googled the name and setup video and watched it took 5 minutes to setup while watching the video and it breezed through the tree like paper. This made the job really simple would 100% recommend.

No adverse comments,a well-designed robust item, cuts cleanly and without too much effort, the 2400 watt motor an advantage as have tried lower-powered electric units in previous years which although lighter to handle just didn’t do the job, this one a bit heavier but just slices it’s way through with little reluctance.Apart from the incumbent cable being a bit of a restriction it’s as good as an expensive petrol model,so far it’s had 2 day’s almost continuous use handling fallen trees from recent gales, saving well over the 150+ I was quoted by local tree contractors.Would definitely recommend this chainsaw.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNovice chainsaw users beware. When you first set the machine up, after you have installed the chain and are are about to tighten the cover. You need to ensure that you are pulling upward and outward on the distant end of the bar, as you tighten the bar/chain restraint.

If you do not do this, the chain will be slack and you’ll spend an hour shouting at the chainsaw and threatening to return it to the supplier.

Without ensuring that the bar is pulled up and out against the machine, the chain will constantly slip and if given anything but the lightest work, you’ll end up having to reset every 10 seconds and cut nothing.

It was only once I’d watched a ‘how to ensure correct tension on your chainsaw’ video on YouTube, did I see how to setup the bar and chain correctly.

After this correction, the chainsaw cut through 100 metres of old fencing without a problem. It was fun! Sharpened the chain and oiled it after this and I’m sure the chainsaw will last for a long while.

This was my second electric chainsaw and my first Hyundai. I wanted something fairly powerful with good safety features and a minimum 3 year warranty to tackle a large garden that had been neglected. Good points, a comprehensive instruction book (not just a downloadable PDF) with clear diagrams for both assembly, maintenance and use, a long power cable (abouit 40 feet), an easy to use lubrication system and more than adequate power. For the first few weeks everything went OK but I was aware that the saw did not seem to function exactly as described in the book and then the saw stopped working completely. I contacted the seller (Genpower/Hyundai Power Products Direct) and to be honest I expected I would have to jump through the hoops to get any help, but I was mistaken. They were prompt and efficient and once I described the problem arranged for the collection of the saw by DPD. I expected to have to wait for a lengthy asesment before it was repaired but again I was mistaken. A new saw was shipped out to me once the old one was received. At all times the customer service staff were efficient, courteous and straightforward. I am buying aan electric tiller in a few weeks and I’ll make sure it’s a Hyundai from this seller. I was very impressed with their whole customer service setup – and the saw too of course!

I have had electric and petrol chainsaws before. This product is fine for lighter use.
With chainsaws, it’s important not to cut stumps too close to the ground. You’ll find that if it goes into the soil it will blunt the blade in no time. Make sure the oil reservoir is topped up and the blade wiped off after use. It’s quite powerful and can cut through 6″ trunks with ease.

Used this electric chain saw to cut down several Leylandi trees in back garden.
I must admit that i was initially sceptical that this chain saw would not be powerful eneough to do the job.
I need not of worried, this well built chain saw cut them down with ease.
3 trees chopped down with trunks of about 12 inches diameter easily.
The only issue i had was that the chain supplied with the saw blunted quickly ( but not before the 3 trees were down ! ). Anyway, i have now bought a couple of replacement chains.
Worked great with olive oil in the oil reservoir as well but its up to you to use whatever oil you wish and i’m not recomending olive oil but thats all i had to hand at the time LOL.

I have had at least 3 two stroke chainsaws over the last 20 years. All were used for heavy duty domestic use. Because my needs have changed and nowdays my requirements are restricted to use in the garden I thought that I would go for the ‘greener’ option of an electric model. So far I have been very pleased with the performance of this saw in terms of power and much reduced noise. I think that it was extremely good value for money.

Bought for my husband. Between us we assembled it easy enough, chain took abit of juggling to straighten it out but got there in the end. Initially we could not get it to go as we could not release the chain brake. This was very stiff to move due to it being plastic we were overly cautious but got there in the end. Being electric it’s much quieter and lighter than his previous petrol one. Much more suitable for him in his older years. Good value for the money and powerful enough for cutting the wood when it’s needed.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersLogs have suddenly become an everyday part of our life. Not only have we converted the fireplace we use every evening in winter to burn logs (because of the forthcoming ban on full fat coal) but also two huge mature beech trees that were growing within a few feet of our house have been felled as the roots were causing serious damage.
Finally, 6 or 7 mature beech trees on the other side of our house have been crown lifted. The tree surgeon (Craig) who did both jobs has been great and not only said we could have a lot of the wood but his oppo also spent a day or two cutting a lot of it down to manageable sizes.

When I said to Craig that I was thinking of getting an electric chainsaw as I could foresee that even when our wood bonanza is used up we will always have a need to cut wood he said it would be near to useless and petrol was definitely the better option. I stuck to my guns though and I am so glad I did. This little saw is not only surprisingly cheap but it is so light and small it fits in a cupboard in our utility room. I have only tried it on small pieces of fresh beech so far (up to 5″ dia) and it goes straight through them. I was less sure when it came to some holly trunks that had been drying for 3 or 4 years and were up to a foot in dia. No probs though, in half an hour I had a pile of holly slices.
I realise it is only going to be a part of how we deal with our glut of wood but It really has surprised me by just how effective it is cutting wood in these smaller sizes. I’m not as strong as I was and to have a tool which is so easy to handle is good.
One comment that someone made that has proved true for me too is that it does use a lot of oil but so far I am pleased that I am not worrying about whether it is getting enough of it as I once did with an old manually oiled petrol chainsaw. I guess that if it gets a lot of use then oil costs may be an issue (but maybe that is true with all saws).

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to use with a light to show the brake is off and ready to use and not too heavy. A little louder than the Makita I previously had but as long as you’re wearing ear defenders the noise level is easily bearable. It also comes fitted with a decent level of cable but with most applications you will need an extension cord. Do remember to take all safety precautions (wear ear defenders and a hard hat and don’t put any part of yourself in the way of the chain in case of kickback) if you don’t want to lose your head and you should have many years of use.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI needed a chainsaw to cut logs but didn’t want a messy, noisy 2 stroke one. I landed on this one based on reviews and I’m not disappointed. It’s super quiet and has ripped through 3inch branches and even did a good job breaking down 25inch trunk. When you order this make sure you also order chain oil with it as it needs that to lubricate the chain during operation. Its obviously aimed at householders/diyers rather than lumberjacks so would recommend.
