Double zip bliss
I have had this coat for a year now. I am really really pleased with it. Fits well, is warm enough ( I use it for walking in the uk) for my needs. I don’t know why everyone wants Rab levels of warmth. Those coats are too hot if you are active unless you are climbing Mount Everest of course. What I really love is the double zip . I often have a rucksack/baby sling which means I couldn’t open the coat from the top. The double zip allows bottom opening for coolness, access to pockets, phone lanyard etc.

Sehr leichter Daunenmantel! Ich liebe den und trage ihn tglich. Bei 1,65 und 76 kg habe ich XL genommen – ist somit sehr locker und hat perfekte Bewegungsfreiheit. Die rmel sind mir zwar etwas zu lange, was mich persnlich aber nicht strt.

Es lo que estaba buscando, un abrigo largo que fuera calentito para el fro pero que no pesara. Adems la talla me vino ideal, soy una M por lo general y como vi por los comentarios que tallaba grande, cog una S y me queda perfecta. Yo mido 1,60 y me queda por la rodilla.

Avevo ordinato questo piumino sul sito dell’azienda produttrice ma purtroppo la taglia M mi andava grande, perci sono stata costretta a restituirlo. Mi ero innamorata del design, della lunghezza, perfetta per il freddo invernale, della vestibilit avvitata ed elegante perci l’ho cercato su vari siti fino a trovarlo poi qui su Amazon. Ho preso una taglia S, vestendo una 42 ed arrivato nel giro di due giorni. Bellissimo, caldo, lungo proprio come serve a me, e morbido. Credo sia stata un buon investimento per l’inverno, da utilizzare tanto per uscite sportive nella natura, quanto per andare a lavoro.

Toller Mantel für mildes Winterwetter/Übergangszei
Schner mittellanger Mantel fr die bergangszeit oder einem sehr milden Winter. Ich trage normalerweise Gre M, bestellt wurde eine Nummer grer. So passt auch ein dickerer Pulver darunter. Bin mit der Qualitt zufrieden, auch nach mehrmaligem Waschen. Ich bin etwa 160 cm Gro und wiege 62 Kilogramm.

This coat is lightweight, but it does not let any of the cold in, have worn in on the coldest of days and it always keeps me so warm, and when you put the hood up it keeps your head and ears warm, I wear it walking all the time, and I like that you can undo it from the bottom to get into the car!

Mantel ist sehr schn, sitzt gut und macht eine sehr gute Figur. Leider war er mir zu dnn. Habe einen warmen Wintermantel gesucht, daher habe ich ihn wieder zurck geschickt.

I’m a regular 14/16 and went for a large which fits well. Like that the arms are long enough for me as normally jacket sleeve are on the short side. Good quality. Arrived early.

Ich hatte fr meine Tochter (12, Gre 158) den Mantel zunchst aufgrund der Grentabelle von Jack Wolfskin in XS bestellt. Unterhalb der Schultern passte er perfekt, spannte jedoch an den Schultern deutlich. Daraufhin habe ich den Mantel in M nochmals bestellt. Jetzt sa er an den Schultern perfekt, war jedoch unterhalb viel zu weit, schwang wie eine Glocke um den Krper herum und war auch etwas zu lang. Die rmellnge war sowohl bei XS und M mehr als ausreichend. Sie sind eher eng geschnitten, fr meine Tochter passend. Getestet haben wir unter “Realbedingungen” mit einem locker geschnittenen Sweathoodie darunter.
Ich finde, das Foto tuscht. Das Model wirkt so, als htte es breite Schultern und eine schmale Taille und Hfte. Der Mantel passt aber eher fr schmale Schultern und im Verhltnis etwas breitere Hften.
Wir schicken den Mantel mit Bedauern zurck, weil er sehr leicht, gut verarbeitet und schn schlicht ist. Der Preis mit ca. 180 wre sehr gnstig fr die Qualitt, aber an der Grenze dessen, was ich fr einen Kindermantel ausgeben wrde, der wahrscheinlich nur hchstens zwei Saisons passt. Leider gibt es im Kinderbereich nicht die Auswahl wie bei den Damen, so dass wir gerade eine preisreduzierte Damen Daunenjacke von Schffel bestellt haben, in der Hoffnung, dass dieser Schnitt geeigneter ist.
Perfekt - warm, feminin aber schlanker machend geschneide
Mit meiner 183 cm Grsse ist nicht immer einfach einen passenden Wintermantel zu kaufen. Dei Grsse XL ist ganz bisschen gross, aber passt sehr gut. Der Mantel ist allesamt sonst perfekt auch dicht gegen Wind und Regen. Besten Dank auch fr die schnelle Lieferung!

This is one of the most comfortable coats I have had. It wS my first Jack Wolfskin purchase and I have not been disappointed at all. It is totally windproof and keeps you warm. I don’t use it for the most coldest weather but I wear it also in the rain so it keeps me dry also.

Schöner Wintermantel
Ich mag diesen leichten, schn geschnittenen Daunenmantel. Er ist nicht zu warm, aber bei +/- null Grad, genau das richtige, dass man sich rundum gut eingepackt fhlt.

J’esprais avoir quelque chose plus rampli et plus grosse. Il me samble trop lgre. J’ai pris S comme c’t conseill dans les commentaires. Mais avec le pull en peut grosse a fait juste surtout sous les bras et au bras car les manches sont trs troites. Alors je conseille prendre votre taille habituelle. Couleur est plus antiraciste que noir. Si non la coupe est bien centr et qualit est bien.

What is there not to like? The coat is light and yet provides the warmth of a sleeping bag. Cleverly designed to give good support and cover around the neck; the hood cradles the head. The zipped pockets are excellent, including one on the inside. The size Small was as expected and a perfect fit for a size 8-10. I’m very pleased with the coat.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer etwas lngeren Jacke. Leider war mir diese Jacke (Mantel) doch etwas zu lang (ging mir in der Gre M bei einer Krpergre von 1,64m bis zur Mitte vom Unterschenkel. Bin leider kleiner als die Dame am Foto, bei ihr ist die Lnge ideal). Das war mir fr mich dann doch zu lang, weil es so aussieht wie ein Sack. Das Material hat sich aber sehr angenehm angefhlt und sie ist sicher auch sehr warm. Hab sie nur aufgrund der Lnge wieder zurck geschickt. Fr grere Personen als ich aber sicher ein wunderbares Kleidungsstck.

and I’m delighted with it. It’s roomy enough to wear a jumper underneath( not that you really need the added warmth of a jumper) whilst wearing this extremely warm, comfortable and lightweight coat. The coat isn’t tight fitting but it is has a fitted shape and doesn’t make me look like Michelin man !!! Which is an added bonus. It’s stylish and practical and incredibly warm. I love the warm lining of the pockets and the well fitting hood which remains in place in blustery conditions. This has got to be the most comfortable and warmest coat I have ever purchased. The only thing I did notice is it’s smell! The smell reminds me of the smell of a dogs wet coat after it’s been out in the rain (it may be the smell of the feathers I don’t know).I’m hoping the smell will disappear after I have washed it. Otherwise fantastic investment – thanks

My old Jack Wolfskin coat needed to be replaced and I am so glad I was able to find a close replacement. Handles the cold beautifully and is very light. I do wish it had both a zipper and buttons on the front but you can’t have everything.

Der Mantel hat eine schne Passform auch fr groe Gren. Die Lnge, kniebedeckend, ist optimal. Das Austreten von Daunen konnte ich bisher nicht feststellen, dann gbe es ja noch immer die Mglichkeit der Reklamation. Ich bin bisher mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden. Durch die abknpfbare Kapuze ist der Mantel zu vielen Gelegenheiten tragbar. Er wrmt sehr schn aber nicht so, dass man schwitzen mte. Der Zweiwege Zipper schafft beim Autofahren Bewegungsfreiheit. Insgesamt ein tolles Basicteil.

I bought this item for my wife mainly for use on winter walks. She is delighted with it and reports that it is very cosy but not too warm. Based on the views of other reviewers I bought a large size for my size 14 wife and the fit is perfect.

Der Mantel ist leicht und warm, bislang nicht bei Minustemperaturen getestet, aber ich hoffe auf das Beste. Die Manteltaschen sind mit Flies gefttert, das ist sehr angenehm.

I purchased this coat as JW don’t use down from live plucked or foie gras ducks and geese (see it online to believe it). There are a few other companies who adhear to this standard but many of the cheeper brands come from companies who support this barbaric and unecessary method of keeping us warm. WELL DONE JW. Its a massive step in the right direction.

I have not stopped wearing this coat since I bought it. Its very warm and super lightweight. I was reluctant to spend this much but it is far superior to cheaper down coats so well worth it.

I am a 1.64m tall person who fits well in UK 10/ EU 38. I bought S and it was a perfect decision. It is not too big and not too tight, thus I can still wear a thick hoodie or jumper underneath 🙂 Moreover, it is super light but yet very warm. I cannot expect more than this. Highly recommended 🙂

Leichter Wintermantel
Der Jack Wolfskin SELENIUM COAT Daunenmantel gefllt mir sehr gut.
Gre M entspricht einer Kleidergre von 38/40.
Der Mantel ist sauber verarbeitet und hat eine abnehmbare Kapuze. Diese lsst sich in der Weite regulieren.
Vorne hat sie zwei Taschen, die je mit einem Reiverschluss geschlossen werden knnen. Eine kleine Innentasche gibt es auch.
Die rmel haben einen elastischen Abschluss und schlieen gut ab, sind dabei aber nicht zu eng.
Der verarbeitete Reiverschluss ist ein Zweiwege-Reiverschluss. So hat man z. B. beim Autofahren etwas mehr Beinfreiheit.
Der Mantel besteht aus:
Oberstoff: 100 % Polyester
Futter: 100 % Polyester
1. Fllung 90 % weie Entendaunen, 10 % Feder
2. Fllung 100 % Polyester
Waschen kann man den Mantel bei 30 C im Schonwaschgang. Anschlieend darf er bei Stufe 1 in den Trockner.
Angezogen macht er durch seine Lnge und der diagonalen Steppung eine sehr gute Figur und hlt dabei gut warm. Dabei ist er sehr leicht und angenehm zu tragen.
Der schwarze Daunenmantel “Selenium” von Jack Wolfskin ist der absolute Volltreffer: Lang (bei meiner Krpergre von 162 cm reicht er bis zu den Knien), federleicht, sehr warm und angenehm weich, dabei trgt er durch die Daunenfllung nicht besonders stark auf.
Die Ausstattung des Mantels lsst fr mich keine Wnsche offen: Eine abnehmbare und in zwei Richtungen verstellbare Kapuze, ein mit weichem Stoff ausgekleideter Kragen, ein leichtgngiger Zwei-Wege-Reiverschluss sowie ein Kinnschutz. Weiter besitzt der Mantel zwei gerumige, optimal platzierte und mit kuscheligem Fleece ausgelegte Hfttaschen und eine Brusttasche links in der Innenseite des Mantels – allesamt mit Reiverschluss versehen – und einen Wind- und Klteschutz an den rmeln durch einen extra breiten Gummizug.
Der Daunenmantel ist zu 100 % winddicht, dabei atmungsaktiv und dauerhaft wasserabweisend, lt. Herstellerangaben ganz ohne Einsatz von PVC. Weiter versichert der Hersteller, dass nur qualitativ hochwertige, nach ethischen Standards zertifizierte Daunen verwendet wurden.
Gereinigt werden darf der Mantel auf links gezogen bei 30 Grad mit einem speziellen Daunenwaschmittel im Schonwaschgang in der Waschmaschine.
Ich trage normalerweise Kleidergre 36/38. Oft passt mir Gre S, manchmal muss ich zu M greifen. Im Falle des Mantels ist mir Gre M lieber, denn obwohl ich zwar noch reichlich Platz habe, kann der Mantel fr mein Empfinden wegen der dicken Winterkleidung ruhig etwas weiter ausfallen.
Der Daunenmantel ist sicherlich fr kltere Temperaturen ausgelegt, doch mangels Alternative habe ich ihn im Oktober bei 13 Grad, leichtem Regen und ziemlich starkem Wind getestet. Drunter hatte ich lediglich eine dnne Bluse angezogen. Nach einem fast einstndigen Spaziergang bin ich trocken und warm zurckgekehrt. Die Oberflche des Mantels hat wunderbar dicht gehalten, den Wind habe ich nur im Gesicht wahrgenommen, nass wurde auch nur die Oberflche, die bei Raumtemperatur jedoch schnell wieder trocken wurde.
Fazit: Der schwarze Daumenmantel “Selenium” von Jack Wolfskin gehrt ab sofort zu meiner Lieblings-Winterkleidung. Klare Kaufempfehlung fr alle, die einen bequemen, leichten, exzellent verarbeiteten, langen Daumenmantel suchen.
Für mich ein Volltreffer!
Der Mantel ist superleicht, wiegt in Gre L keine 150 Gramm und macht trotz Daunenfllung eine gute Silhouette. Er fhlt sich sehr angenehm an. Der Mantel wurde in Kambodscha gefertigt und bewegt sich von Material und Verarbeitung her gesehen auf bestem europischen Niveau. Die ueren Manteltaschen sind vom Schnitt her fast unsichtbar, innen gibt es noch eine kleine Brusttasche frs Handy etc. Der Reiverschlu wird mit der linken Hand eingehngt und lt sich bei Bedarf auch nur unten ffnen, was beim Sitzen und besonders auch beim Autofahren eine feine Sache ist. Fr eine optimale Sicht kann man die Kapuze am Rand einfach umkrempeln. Die rmel sind mit einem komfortablen Gummizug am Bndchen zusammengenommen, damit es beim Glhweintrinken nicht hineinziehen kann 😉 Noch wartet der Mantel auf seinen ersten Outdoor-Einsatz, ich freue mich aber jetzt schon drauf! P.S. Durch die Herstellung in Kambodscha lt sich die Herkunft der Entendaunen aus den Produktinformationen leider nicht nachverfolgen. Hier knnte Jack Wolfskin noch die Transparenz erhhen.
Wolfskin Coa
Sehr warmer, leichter Daunenmantel. Er fllt grssengerecht aus. Leicht tailliert macht er eine schne Figur und trgt nicht auf. Die Microgaurd Funktion hlt Wasser und Wind ab. Wunderbar warm auch fr frostige Temperaturen.
Von dem Jack Wolfskin Damen Selenium Mantel bin ich wirklich begeistert. Das hat mehrere Grnde:
– Der Mantel schaut in echt viiiiel besser aus als auf dem Produktbild (da wirkt er eher wie ein unfrmiger Sack).
– Der Mantel ist sehr leicht und hlt trotzdem schn warm. Durch seine Lnge (die fr mich eher untypisch ist) ist man wirklich gut geschtzt.
– Aufgrund des Zwei-Wege-Reiverschlu kann man den Mantel auch super beim Autofahren anlassen und wird nicht im Fubereich gestrt.
– Jack Wolfskin lehnt Daunen aus Lebendrupf und Stopfmast ab. Das wird leider beim Produkt selbst nicht beworben, was ich schade finde. Denn ich achte schon auf so etwas und finde es knnte entsprechend deklariert sein. Ich mute erst im Internet recherchieren wie diese Firma zu dem Thema steht.
Noch was zur Gre: Ich trage bei Jacken normalerweise M / 38. Mir passt der Mantel perfekt (auch ein dicker Pulli passt noch drunter). Meiner Schwiegermutter (Gr. 40) war er schon zu eng.
Der nächste Winter kann kommen!
Verarbeitung und Schnitt dieses Mantels sind toll! So viel gleich vorweg. Eine erste Untersuchung ergab keine losen Fden, keine Fadenbrche und gerade Nhte. Der Schnitt trgt nicht auf, er verleiht eine tolle Form und man kann bequem noch einen Pullover und winterliche Hosen darunter tragen. Der hohe Kragen mag Anfangs etwas Gewhnungsbedrftig sein (fr mich war er es…), hat aber durchaus seinen Sinn. Man spart sich einen Dicken Schal. Wer empfindlich ist, kann hier jedoch ohne Probleme noch ein Tuch tragen.
Die Innentasche ist gro genug fr eine schmale Geldbrse. Es empfiehlt sich nicht eine grere darin aufzubewahren. Das ist platztechnisch nicht so gut, auerdem trgt das dann schon etwas auf, was die sonst sehr elegante Optik strt. Mir ist bewusst, dass es allein durch den Namen ‘Jack Wolfskin’ gleich etwas teurer ist. Die erste Analyse hat jedoch fr mich ergeben, dass es sich auf jeden Fall lohnt.

Von diesem Mantel bin ich rundherum angetan. Aber der Reihe nach.
– Die angegebene Grsse M passt fr Konfektionsgre 38/40, und zwar auch so, da man im Winter noch einen dicken Pulli drunter tragen kann.
Der Mantel reicht bis oberhalb vom Knie, so da Ges und Oberschenkel gut gewrmt bleiben.
– Die Fllung ist aus Entendaunen, was den Mantel leicht und warm macht (bei Minusgraden noch nicht getestet) Jedoch wichtig: man wirkt in diesem Mantel nicht aufgeplustert, was hufig bei anderen Daunenmnteln der Fall ist. Zum Transport kionnte ich den Mantel sogar problemlos in einer normalen Einkaufstte verstauen.
– Der Mantel hat eine zweifach verstellbare und abnehmbare Kapuze.
– Der Kragen ist innen mit einem dnnen Fleece gefttert, und das fhlt sich angenehm und kuschelig am Hals an.
– Es gibt drei Taschen: 2 Auentaschen in Hfthhe mit Reiverschluss und eine Innentasche auf Brusthhe ebenfalls mit Reiverschluss zu sichern.
– Der Mantelreiverschluss ist ein 2-Wege-Reiverschluss, d.h. dass dieser Mantel auch auf dem Fahrrad zu gebrauchen ist.
– Das Material soll wasserabweisend sein. Ich zweifle nicht daran, konnte es aber noch nicht testen.
Denn – und das soll die Zusammenfasssung sein – der Mantel und seine Verarbeitung machen einen sehr guten Eindruck.
Der Mantel kostet momentan knapp 158 , was ich in Ordnung finde. Er geht mir bei 163 cm bis ber die Knie, was ein bisschen komisch aussieht, aber wenn es drauen superkalt ist und ich mit dem Hund raus muss, ist mir das egal. Auerdem kann ich mir ja hohe Stiefel dazu kaufen. Der Mantel ist federleicht, super bequem und er trgt nicht auf. In Gre M habe ich noch Luft fr einen dicken Pulli darunter. Die Kapuze ist mit einem Reiverschluss befestigt, kann also abgenommen werden. Der Kragen ist schn hoch und weich. Der Reiverschluss ist leichtgngig, ebenso die Reiverschlsse an den beiden Auen und der Innentasche. Der Jack Wolfskin Schriftzug vorne ist klein und unauffllig, ebenso die kleine Pfote am rmel. Die Armbndchen sind nicht zu eng und nicht zu weit.
Der Mantel ist 100% winddicht, wasserabweisend und atmungsaktiv, er ist frei von Fluorcarbonstoffen. Hergestellt wurde er in Kambodscha. Er ist waschbar bis 30C und trocknergeeignet. Jack Wolfskin gibt an, dass die Daunen RDS-zertifiziert sind, was bedeutet, dass diese Daunen ausschlielich von bereits getteten Tieren (Schlachtrupf), die nicht aus der Stopfmast kommen, stammen.
Meine Frau trgt normalerweise Gre 36 und mir wurde der Jack Wolfskin Damen Selenium Coat Mantel in der Gre M angeboten.
Natrlich war die Verlockung gro und es bestand ja auch die Chance, dass er etwas kleiner ausfllt.
Nach Anlieferung war die Freude gro; wow, was fr ein toller, leichter Daunenmantel, meine Frau war hin und weg, denn so einen wollte sie sich schon immer einmal kaufen.
Dann die Enttuschung; in M war der Mantel definitiv zu gro.
Meine Frau war aber so von dem Mantel angetan, dass mir nichts anderes brig blieb als den Mantel auch noch in der Gre S zu bestellen bzw. zu kaufen.
Hier ist nun die Gre fr mein Frau perfekt, der Mantel sieht einfach super aus.
Die Verarbeitung und der gesamte Eindruck sind hervorragend, man sieht auf den ersten Blick, dass es sich um hochwertige Qualitt handelt.
Fazit:
Superschner Daunenmantel, der in der Realitt noch schner als auf der Produktabbildung aussieht.
Meine Frau ist begeistert und wrde ihn sofort wieder kaufen (lassen ;-))…
Die Gre M ist bei Jack Wolfskin eigentlich Gre 40. Ich habe die Konfektionsgre 38 und mit passt der Mantel sehr gut. Von daher knnte er fr die Gre 40 etwas knapp sein.
Der Mantel ist sehr lang. Er reicht mir bei einer Krpergre von 170 cm bis ber die Knie. Fr mich etwas ungewohnt aber damit ist man im Winter gut “eingepackt”.
Er ist sehr leicht, lsst sich angenehm Tragen und trgt nicht auf. Da wir derzeit noch keine Minusgrade haben, konnte ich nicht testen inwieweit er warm hlt. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass die Daunenfllung gut isoliert. Der Hersteller gibt an, dass die Daunen nach ethischen Gesichtspunkten zertifiziert seien.
Die beiden Auentaschen befinden sich zwischen Hfte und Taille auf angenehmer Hhe und sind mit Reiverschlssen versehen. Auf Hhe der Brust gibt es innen noch eine recht kleine senkrechte Reiverschlusstasche.
Der Zwei-Wege-Reiverschluss lsst sich gut einfdeln und luft gut ohne zu haken. Die rmelbndchen schlieen gut an den Handgelenken ab.
Gewaschen werden darf der Mantel bei 30 Grad Schonwaschgang.
Von meiner Seite aus empfehlenswert.
Ich muss sagen, ich bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Mantel. Sicher sind die Geschmcker verschieden, aber ich bin sehr froh, dass die Fllung eben nicht so dick ist. Ich finde, diese arg “aufgeplusterten” Daunenfllungen lassen einen schnell wie ein Michelin Mnnchen aussehen. Dem ist hier Gott sei Dank nicht so. Auch der leicht taillierte Schnitt sorgt dafr, dass man trotz Mantel immer noch eine Figur hat.
Die Passform in M ist bei Gre 40, wie ich sie in der Regel in Jacken trage, optimal. Nicht zu gro und dennoch passt auch noch ein Pullover darunter.
Die Verarbeitung ist, wie bei Jack Wolfskin nicht anders zu erwarten, tadellos. Keine losen Fden, schiefe Nhte oder hnliches. Das Material ist angenehm weich und nicht so “plastikmig” wie man es von anderen Jacken vielleicht kennt.
Die Armbndchen schlieen gut ab. Schn finde ich auch den hohen Kragen, der mir im Winter, ebenso wie die Kapuze, gute Dienste leisten wird.
Bei den derzeitigen Temperaturen ist es noch etwas schwierig, herauszufinden, wie warm die Jacke wirklich ist. Wer Kleidung von Jack Wolfskin kennt der wird aber wissen, dass wenn sie “sehr warm” versprechen dies auch meist der Fall ist. Aber auch hier spielt ja immer das persnliche Empfinden eine Rolle.
Der Mantel geht mir, bei einer Krpergre von 1,69, bis zum Knie und diese Lnge finde ich genau richtig.
Er lsst sich wirklich angenehm tragen, ist leicht und man kann sich sehr gut darin bewegen.
Keinesfalls fhlt man sich eingepackt oder eingeschrnkt.
Ich bin zu 100 % begeistert und finde keinen Kritikpunkt.
Meinewegen kann der Winter jetzt komme
Ich persnlich finde diese Mantel ganz ok. Ich hatte mir die Fllung etwas voluminser vorgestellt aber der Mantel gefllt mir.
Der einzigste Abzugspunkt gibt es dafr da hier keine Angaben zu den Daunen gemacht wurden / sind. Dort steht nicht um welche Qualit es sich handelt und erst recht nicht ob diese von Lebendrupf stammen. Viele Bettwaren Hersteller knnen ganz genaue Angaben machen ob es sich um sibirische Daunen handelt bzw. ob die Daunen von Lebendrupf stammen oder nicht. Als Kunde mchte ich wissen ob die Tiere fr dieses Produkt leiden mussten oder nicht weil das fr mich ein wichtiges Kriterium als Tierfreund ist.
