JBL PROFLORA CO2 REGULATOR PROFESSIONAL

In order to reduce the pressure from the pressurized gas cylinder, a pressure reducer is screwed on. It reduces the 50-60 bar cylinder pressure to a working pressure of approx. 1.5 bar. This 1.5 bar is then dosed with a small hand wheel (fine needle valve) so precisely that individual CO2 bubbles can be seen and counted in the connected bubble counter. In addition to the two pressure gauges for the cylinder pressure and the working pressure, this professional version has a directly attached solenoid valve via which the CO2 supply can be switched on and off via a timer (not included) or a CO2 pH control device.

All JBL PROFLORA CO2 REGULATOR types are equipped with an adapter so that they fit both returnable and non-returnable bottles. Anyone who has a Dennerle pressure reducer for Dennerle one-way bottles can use the JBL PROFLORA CO2 ADAPT U-Dennerle adapter to make it suitable for JBL one-way bottles.

Optimal nutrition for plants

An optimal proportion of CO2 in the water is of great importance for aquarium plants. Carbon dioxide serves the plants as the main nutrient and thus as a growth promoter for full development. Plants use the CO2 for photosynthesis and thus supply the water with vital oxygen. They remove pollutants, prevent algae growth, offer hiding places and reduce germs.

First screw the fitting onto the reusable or disposable CO2 bottle. Then connect the hose connection of the permanently connected solenoid valve with a hose to a bubble counter / check valve and then to the diffuser / reactor before you set the number of CO2 bubbles on the fine needle valve. A permanent CO2 test tells you whether the amount of CO2 added is correct.
