Beyond expectations
Indoors and outdoors it has exceeded my expectations for sound quality, battery life and very lightweight. Not the most convenient to take with you when travelling abroad and going through airports but the satisfaction you get when you are away and able to play your music as you like makes up for the hassle.
Great speake
JBL Extreme 3 Speaker is great, however, i have just messaged Amazon about a fault with the speaker not charging, they put me through to someone who after a lot of questions is sending someone to pick up for repair, will update once its fixed, Not a happy camper as i now have no speaker to use.
Bigger is bette
This JBL extreme 3 is bigger and better than my 3 year old Wonderboom.
More than enough power to fill a room with plenty of base. The JBL has its own equaliser app, but I don’t think it comes anyway near my downloaded ‘Sound Beautifier-Swiss made’ music equaliser app. This app really impresses once you have played around with it for a while.
Amazing sound quality and volume.
It’s a great speaker with an amazing sound quality. It is a bit more on the bassi side if you like that (you have a EQ on the JBL app so you can turn down the bass if you don’t like it). Has great features. Is a bit big so you would have to squeeze it into a backpack but with the shoulder strap it’s very easy to carry on the go.
The speaker is a bit pricey so at 300 so I would wait for a discount.

Absolutely love this JBL xtreme 3 , very portable, sound quality is very good , I’m an HGV driver and I’ve had this blasting in the lorry ( comes in handy if I cross the border and can’t get a radio signal from lorry stereo or there’s nothing on the radio that I like , so that’s where the JBL comes in handy, stick on tunes that I want to listen to ) over all build quality etc is excellent , it’s also perfect for the poolside, beach , garden party , or to have in the kitchen with tunes on while having a few beers with friends
Sound
This is a very good speaker it is loud and should be with it wattage of power but its also very good with the quality of the music it delivers with a good weight to the bass would recommend it certainly fills a room and battery life is very good

Secondo me, un prodotto creato da un’azienda che da sempre si occupa di tutto ci che riguarda suoni e musica, che resistente ad urti, acqua e polvere, come certifica la IP67, che ha un suono eccellente, dinamico ed impressionante grazie anche alla presenza di quattro altoparlanti e due radiatori per bassi, dovrebbe quantomeno essere preso in considerazione. Io personalmente la uso anche a casa collegata direttamente al computer (ho una piccola cameretta) ed il suono via cavo ancora pi sbalorditivo!
E poi resta sempre il design, creato per portarla ovunque, in modo che ti segua fedelmente in ogni avventura, grazie anche alla praticit della tracolla.
PS: la tracolla ha anche un apribottiglie!
Brought this for our vacations
Okay, this was purchased purely for our vacations we take during the year. We tend to put this in our carry on. Great to pop on a table or even by the pool. Has a great range & if suitable, is fantastic for a small party or gathering. Highly recommend this Bluetooth speaker.

Good: price, battery life, Bluetooth connectivity
Less good: Volume and sound quality very noticeably reduced when on battery power. The sound quality is overall much less clear and a bit “muddy” compared to a HomePod or Sonos.
It needs time to "run in" before it sounds ok, but then it's very decent indeed.
It’s very solid and easy to use. There is an app where you can get firmware updates and tinker with the sound profile (but not by a lot)
Initially I was quite under-whelmed by the sound quality and was all set to send it back, but let it play for 5-6 hours and it improves a LOT. Now very happy.

Sound quality good and pairing simple. Haven’t had long enough to assess battery, I used for ten hours before I charged it. Battery indicator seems inaccurate. After an hour or two it appeared that it was out of charge but I used it for another 8 hours before I recharged. Correction just discovered indicator goes off and reappears if you press volume butto

Solid, extremely well made, excellent sound quality. Smaller than I imagined, but the sound quality is rich, loud, and with a good bass. Bluetooth connection was almost instant.

There have been firmware updates that have totally improved the audio output by 100%.
This my second purchase of an xtreme 3 out of the box did a firmware update before playing a note.
Using the JBL Portable app at a family gathering we had 11 variouse JBL bluetooth speakers operating in party mode all together and the sound quality was great and the volume was loud enough to fill the rented hall.
I cannot fault the xtreme 3 now but it took almost a year of firmware updates that should have been done before release.
I have versions 1,2, and now 3 of the xtreme bluetooth speakers.
This version 3 differs from v2 fundamentally in the sound output being a more rounded with less bass focus.
At first I didn’t like it but after I adjusted my Spotify equalizer to the flat profile it totally changed the sound. So much so I heard mid range that I never heard before. Now that the bass is not the focus but a component I think this is probably the way the artist wants it to be enjoyed.
One problem is if the volume is turned higher than around 75% the sound becomes very high frequency with no bass at all and flat tops. Not good, neither v1 or v2 do this.

This product sounds superior and more refined than the previous Xtreme speakers by JBL. The highs and mid ranges are smoother and polished out. Usb type C charging is game changing.
