He likes that it doesn’t take up loads of room on his desk and likes the lights.

My son loves this key board and mouse set bought to use with his xbox.

While mid-game, I was spectating a team mate and I pressed FN+W which is a shortcut on this keyboard to enable the function of the arrow keys (As they are located on WASD) which meant even though I was pressing WASD the key binds didn’t work as I was technically using the arrow keys not WASD

This set from ZIYOU LANG and branded as Mamgasnake, includes a wired mini keyboard, wired mouse and a mousemat. The mousemat is heavily branded as Mamgasnake with a large wolf logo in green, which in a UK context doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me becasue I havent heard of this brand before. The mousemat is effective though with a good woven upper and non-slip underside. The keyboard and mouse both have rather chunky USB plugs, which might make them a difficult fit with some computers but the cables are plenty long-enough and the keyboard/mouse are easily and instantly detected by Windows 10. Both the mouse and keyboard are backlit with RGB LEDs. The mouse has a honeycomb surface on the bottom and top which makes it quite airy and the LED shines attractively through all the honeycomb holes. The LED stobes between different colours in the mouse. The mouse buttons are effective with adjustable DPI using the buttons on the mouse. The keyboard has semi-mechanical keys which have quite a good action. The RGB backlight on the keyboard is nicely diffused and there are many LEDs, with seven adjustable patterns. Each pattern can be slowed down or sped up and the colours can be changed with some of the patterns. Overall this is a good mini keyboard and mouse for the money. I’m not taken with the mouse mat but its inclusion does make this a good starter or travel kit.

One or two reviews of this keyboard & mouse set have been less than generous which I think is a little unfair. Some have stated that the keys are hard to read, really? I had absolutely no problem reading the key markings, even without my glasses and especially in a dark room. Some have said the keys don’t ‘feel’ as positive as other keyboards, I disagree, I have a really top-notch professional keyboard which cost three times as much as this and, yes, that does ‘feel’ slightly better but not greatly so, and I think this keyboard is certainly as good or even better than many other keyboards at a similar price and that’s without the LED’s. Some have said that it is small! Well yes, it’s a mini keyboard! The actual keys are normal size but the separate number pad, arrow keys and page function keys have been removed and incorporated on the main board. These functions are still there, they are simply moved and incorporated on other main keys as additional functions. The effect is that it occupies a much smaller footprint but still functions perfectly. This is of course an advantage if space is at a premium. The mouse is, ok, again it’s not outstanding but it’s a good mouse. The LED colour effect looks great, yes it’s a bit of a novelty but it does look very cool and why not? Nothing wrong with looking cool. The mouse mat is a mouse mat!
My son has built a virtual racing and games rig and, because of it’s compact profile, this keyboard is ideal to mount in the rig and the LED colours really look good as part of the overall lighting scheme.
For 30 we think this kit is excellent value.

At 29.99, at the time of writing,

    This :

K61 UK Layout RGB 60% Gaming Keyboard Mouse Set Wired 62 Keys Mini Portable Keyboard 7 RGB LED Backlit 19 key Anti-ghosting + 2400 DPI Ultralight Gaming Mouse Ergonomic Honeycomb Shell +Mouse Pad

Looks to be a fun, funky, and nicely designed bit of kit.
    But…
    Is it any good?
    Is it good value?
Are there many of these annoying questions still to come?
Well, to find out, we should pop on our gamers caps… here’s mine: , and get the snacks in , as we find our inner gamers, and take a closer look… …

It arrives in a professional looking, bright, and attractive retail ready box.
It’s a very good first impression.

Out of the box, and the contents are easy to catalogue:
    1 x Mechanical Keyboard
    1 x RGB Gaming Mouse
    1 x Mouse pad
    Very nice indeed.
The mouse mat is a pleasant surprise.

The keyboard is a cut down, compact design keyboard.
It is made entirely from plastic
The build quality of the keyboard is excellent.
It feels sturdy, tough, and durable.
It is chunky, and solid, with a nicely designed layout.
It is a compact, and squat looking keyboard, with a compacted down right-hand side, without a Number Pad though, allowing it to be housed in a less wide keyboard case.
It doesn’t feel limited, or too compact though, with its full sized, chunky keys.
It feels full sized, grown up, and just like a traditional keyboard.
It is a low noise, but full travel type of keyboard.
There are no flaws visible on the keyboard, and with no manufacturing marks, no ragged edges, or poorly finished junctions, it all comes in perfectly complete, and nicely polished.
The only question here is: could you live without a Num Pad?
I can get by without one, and it isn’t a dealbreaker for me.
The USB cable is fine, if a little bit low quality.

The RGB mouse is excellent quality too.
While it hasn’t got the styling of a true gaming mouse, it has the features, and quality.
It has cool RGB lighting, with four different RGB effects to choose from.
You can also choose the speed and sensitivity of the mouse too.
The mouse has been lightened, to make it light, sensitive, and easily moved around.
It isn’t the feather weight that top-end gaming mouse weigh in at, but it is a very decent light weight, and you can see the effort put into making it light, and manoeuvrable.

It was installed in seconds being plug and play, there were no drivers to download, or no software to install, it was up and running immediately.
The keys feel good, tough, fully resistant and with a very positive action, and they are a joy to use for gaming.
Both for FPS, and slower strategy games, it was brilliant to use in testing.
The keys are full travel, and full sized, with a nice solid click on each keystroke, and a nice action that gives plenty of feedback, you will always know when you have engaged a key properly.
It was a pleasure to use, and I very much enjoyed using the keyboard to revisit some of my favourite games,
It did not miss a trick, or a beat, and was faultless in every game.
It had no missed keystrokes, no missed presses, and was perfect to play with.
I am a very happy owner of this keyboard, and use it as my main keyboard now.

The mouse is similar quality, and similar in its performance.
It is a joy to use, and feels brilliant.
It is a lovely compromise between a regular mouse, and a gaming mouse.
It looks cool, mainly due to the RGB lighting, and it is a pleasure to use, due to the styling, the lightness of it, and the design, which is clever, and well-thought-out.

The price, at just under thirty pounds, is fantastic.
    It is very good value.
A keyboard for this price, plus a gaming mouse is fantastic.
Yes there are compromises, with a compact layout, meaning less keys, but it plays perfectly the same as my old full sized keyboard, with a much nicer action.
And the mouse is a similar compromise, with a few deals being struck between cost, and features.
The overall results are excellent, and produces a nice blend of good for beginners, good for intermediate, and something there for gamers too.
It would make a great first keyboard/mouse combination set.

    Overall,
This keyboard and mouse set is brilliant.
It is very well-designed, with a nice layout, and good features.
It is very well put together, with a nicely finished and polished standard, on both mouse, and keyboard,
It plays perfectly, with it never missing a beat, in gaming.
It is priced very keenly, and a genuine bargain.

I can highly recommend this keyboard and mouse set.

I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .

This gaming keyboard set comes in a nice display box and inside you’ll find the keyboard, a gaming mouse and a mouse mat. The keyboard itself is wrapped in a protective wrap and is secure within the box.

Removing the keyboard from the box, it has a good weight to it and feels like a quality keyboard. It feels solid and well-built with no squeaks or creaks while handling it. The bottom has 2 rubber feet, to stop it sliding on smooth surfaces, and it does have legs to raise the rear of the keyboard.

The keyboard feels nice to type on and each keystroke has little resistance to being pushed. The keys must be pushed halfway down for the keystroke to register so that helps if you accidently press the wrong key.

The RGB keyboard backlight looks very attractive with its neon colours contrasting through the white keys. I like this a lot and I think all RGB keyboards should be in white as it makes the neon colours pop a lot better than black. You can increase and decrease the brightness by holding the Fn key and then ; or ‘. You can scroll through the various light features by pressing Fn and P. Most of the functions you would find on a full-size keyboard are here, but they are accessed by pressing the Fn key. Check the pictures and you’ll see that on the bottom of some of keys, is printed an alternate button. Those functions are accessed by pressing the Fn key. The keyboard is of the standard UK layout, and I had no problem transitioning from my main keyboard to this one as all the keys are in the correct place. The ESC button is a strange one though as you must press the Fn key to use it as escape but pressing the button on its own doesn’t do anything.

I’m not quite sure who this keyboard is aimed at if I’m honest. I would think it would be aimed at a gamer due to the RGB lights and the red buttons but then you’ve lost the arrow keys behind pressing the Fn key. The size of this keyboard also makes it great for portability but again, it confuses me on who it’s aimed for. If you want a great looking keyboard which is compact, then I can highly recommend this one. It’s well built and for the features you have with the RGB, it’s very nicely priced.

I’ve been using this keyboard for a while and now I’ve got used to the little shortcuts, I think I prefer it over my K95 Platinum which cost well over a hundred pounds. The RGB lights are brighter and are more neon in colour, the buttons have a better feel to them and it’s more compact on my desk. I am more than impressed with this keyboard, I absolutely love it and can’t recommend it enough

A nice LED gaming set all in one package...

This gaming keyboard set is good quality and feels entry level as I handle and check it out. The key board is indeed smaller format and compact size. This set is made from good quality ABS plastics and feels good to the touch. The Ultra durable modular mechanical keyboard sounds quieter when in use and is actually aural for game players. The white characters against black background is good and they also light up in different colours and look awesome at night or when it’s dimmer lighting. This keyboard doesn’t take up much space and I have grown to like it. It has small flip up feet to raise it at an angle.
The keyboard works well when used for typing and the key strikes feels lighter, cushioned a little and quieter, but accurate.
The mouse is very lightweight and made from plastic which is skeletal in design. The buttons and roller click wheel button works great and doesn’t give the sense of premium or luxury, but standard. It’ll do what it’s designed for and I was able to navigate rather well during game play and button clicking.
The kit includes a nice looking green mouse mat which is very good quality and works good with the mouse.
This keyboard set represents excellent value for money.

Compact fun and great working gaming keyboard

Definitely a gaming keyboard, it feels robust and though not mechanical/or cherry switches they do feel great when playing and even decent to type on. The key travel feels ergonomics and typing this review didn’t feel fatiguing, even if only a few sentences. I don’t see any lag in gaming for a obviously cloned type keyboard and the rgb lighting actually looks cool with various options to change colour, speed and style or off. The biggest thing missing, even for a compact are arrow keys, which I use a lot on full sized keyboards and my small wireless one.
For that you switch your arrow keys to WSAD for gaming with the FN options.
The mouse is decent for a basic gaming mouse, with extra buttons you can assign for gameplay.
It’s tracking and response is quick, I couldn’t detect any lag, although for hard-core gamers they’d probably need better. I used this mouse for editing in Photoshop and Lightroom and feels much better than my aging Microsoft intelli mouse from about a decade ago.
All that remains now is needing a modern PC or laptop, when I can afford it, as the mouse feels faster ha. Making money as a photographer is not great, so will take a while, especially since covid.

This is a really great keyboard, mouse and mousemat set. It’s funny that I always pick laptops that have very slim and quiet keys and yet sometimes I just crave the old mechanical style keyboard with the big noisy keys. That’s why I wanted this set. Not only have I got the joy of typing on the big keys, but they are also backlit which I really really love. I have to admit that I had to turn the mode of lighting to stable, boring I know, when there are some great patterns of lighting on offer. But I’m old, and too much distraction is no good for me!
The keyboard is the perfect size for me to use with my 3 in 1 PC. It feels solidly made and has two legs to raise the top end of it if you want.
The mouse is really fancy looking, again with lighting options. I haven’t tried to figure out how to change them yet. I am just happy using it on factory settings for now. I will definitely take some time to change the various things it can do when I have got some quiet time.
The mousemat is pretty blah, I much prefer metal ones, but it’s a nice touch to the set and good for a backup mousemat when you need one.
All in all I am really happy with the set and am happy to recommend it.
