It’s a brilliant mixer and with all the attachments I’ve made cakes, which I was useless at before. Quiches, mince pies,Coleslaw, squeezed oranges, grated cheese so it saves the labour and shop bought ready grated is flourly and yuk. But I love this machine and can see me making far more, as I’ve only had it 2 weeks. Easy to clean too. I’m really chuffed with it. I bought it for myself for Christmas, as I didn’t have much as a kid because my Mum didn’t have much money, so I buy myself a treat at Christmas. This is up there with the best ones!

Generally an great product. The functions I have used have all worked well. That said it is top heavy when the arm is raised and it falls over backwards with the slightest nudge. Also the k mixer which you would use to cream butter and sugar just tends to plaster the wall of the bowl so you are constantly scraping down. This could be because the bowl is quite loose in the stand and tends to rattle around. But for the price it’s a great machine and is very versatile. I wish there was a sausage attachment for the mincer though…

Have only used a few times and have not used all the attachments yet but the product seems great. It’s compact enough it fit in the cupboard and sturdy when mixing. The juicer attachment for the processor is fantastic. I feel every bit of juice is extracted! Great product for the price

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had this product for a few months now and feel this deserves an in-depth review.
Overall the machine is smart looking and compact on the work surface, where mine now lives.
The whisk- whipped up 4 egg whites to stiff peaks really well. Added hot sugar for Italian merrange and the stainless steel bowl took it like a champ.
When whisking two egg yolks it didn’t scrape the bottom enough to really mix them. 4 was fine. The curd came out really well. 4/5
The k beater – it’s a Kenwood cake beater. It’s good. Not much to compare it against. Could have rubber scrapers, but it’s a cheaper machine. 4/5
The dough hook- comes with a rubber seal to keep the machine clean from climbing dough. The head of the machine loves to bounce up and down. Not enough to over come the lock, but there’s substantial play. Made a large batch of brioche and it dealt with it. 3/5
The blender – crushes ice, could suck down a little more to stop pockets or air. It makes a decent smoothie bowl or soup. Really easy to pick up, shake and re blend.
Super easy to clean. Blades unit detaches for sink wash, the rest goes in the dishwasher.
Meat grinder. – not used this, but it fits while the machine is in the open position. The metal feels solid and looks like it’ll do the job.Doesnt come with a sausage spout, but I’m sure you can make one fit. Plenty of thread available.
This does mean the machine can be activated when locked open. Safety 2/5
The food processor- comes with this little cog stick that you have to ensure is located each time you remove and replace the chopper bowl. An integrated solution would be nicer, but it keeps the machine low profile and easier to clean. I see why the did it. The citrus juicer is decent for a gentle pulp drink. No seeds pass through which is good in my books. The grater disks work really well, nicely balanced with loads of space underneath. The chopper blades mince stuff down very well too. Made a nice smooth hummous, using the juicer for a lemon and then swapping to the chopper blades and adding the chickpeas and oil!
The centrifugal juicer- this had me worried as I could not find a review of this attachment. This machine obliterated carrots, cucumbers, beatroot, ginger, celery, even a lemon peel and all. No need to peel the veg, just top and tail, then cut to fit in the tube. We tried kale and spinach. You get a little bit of juice from them, but I’ve read you need a maceration machine. For the value/reward I don’t see why you’d need one.
Clean up is simple. I use a chopstick to scrape out the fiber from the lid and the catch tray. You can do 8-10 large carrots and fill up both the trash side and the cup. We share a full cup between two. (500mls approx)
The centrifugal filter isn’t too hard to clean. I use a little plastic brush that came for free with some microplane hand graters. Running water and a little brush, takes about two mins max. You’d only need to do this once you’ve finished as it keeps itself pretty clear.
I’ve not had a juicer before, so a score is a bit more difficult. Flavour and ease of use- 5/5.
Functionality, 3/5 compared to continuous juicers or maceration types.
Value 10/5. Seriously, bought this for the mixer, but used the juicer 3 times a week.
Overall the machine is a touch rear heavy. Having it open and without a bowel can make it topple back It has suction feet, but it was resting on the instruction booklet at the time. Since then I’ve been a little more careful and it’s stayed stuck to the work surface.
The lids and tools all activate safety switches, so there’s a level of safety for cooking with children… As little chefs not ingredients….
Mostly it’s dish-washable, except for a few gearings which stay clean, or can be sink washed easily.
It does take up a fair amount of cupboard space, but I think it’s worth it.
Tl/dr: If you want a do it all, go for it. If you want to bake bread everyday, get a 600 machine. The performance kneading is adequate but not a machine I’d leave running, sometimes having to hold it down.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m so impressed with this fabulous mixer. I love baking and creating all sorts of food. Since I joined a club who promote making meals from scratch I have had a need to kneed, desire to dice and passion to puree! So, I wanted a mixer to keep up with that.

This mixer has a range of useful attachments which give you full food processor functionality. There is a 4.3L mixing bowl which is enough for most family creations.

Unusually with this processor, you can grind and even prepare unusual bread with the dough hook.
Three types of grating are possible which made me think of cheese scones and carrot cake for it’s next time out.

The mixer weighs almost 11kgs and needs a level solid base such as a kitchen worktop. I found the need to spread out a little due to the number of accessories that come with it.

There’s a great little juice extractor as well! I’m always buying too many oranges so this is ideal to mix with some shaved ice for a great slush drink.

The 1.5L blender has the mini lid for adding to during use. It feels quite sturdy and was easy to setup.

I’m working my way through an old BeRo cookbook so I really will be putting this range leader through it’s paces!
Have to say that I thought it might take up more room. The design has changed slightly from the Chef range and this whilst full size is still regarded as compact. It sits 30cm high without accessories so fits well under kitchen cupboards.
You will need a small box to keep the accessories in. They will be pricey to replace if lost.

Overall, I’m absolutely thrilled with this. The Kenwood name is a leader in food mixers and I’m already planning fresh seasonal soups, healthy burgers and of course a Victoria sponge or two.

An exceptional and versatile food processor.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis item arrived on time and was well packed. Easy to assemble and use. I have only used the main mixer so far and have found it fast and efficient. It is light but durable so easy to move around on the worktop. It has suction pads that secures it in place. The protective shield is great when adding ingredients to your recipe to prevent splashing. I would recommend but make sure you have storage space for all the other attachments.

I’ve used Kenwoods for years, with the combination of mixing bowl and the blender having been around for years. This goes one step further and includes the food processor on top. That makes it particularly appealing in terms of space saving. The mixer tools are slightly different to older versions as well with a wider reach.

Overall the breadth of capability is great, and the quality seems better than a few years ago.

Definitely recommended and essential for all sorts of cooking, not just cakes!!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is potentially a great space-saver, and has a great range of attachments. If you currently have a food processor, blender, citrus juice and stand mixer, I would estimate that this would save you 30% of the space of having those items separately.

If you are short, you may find that the food processor is not at a great height for you. Because it sits on top of the stand mixer, it means it’s about 6-8 inches higher than for a normal food processor. For me, at 5’2″, I find this a bit annoying, but my 6′ husband doesn’t see a problem at all. It does mean that you need to use it either on a counter with no wall cabinets above, or on the near edge of the counter.

My other reservation is that is is a bit lightweight. That could be a good or a bad thing. I like that it’s not a big heavy thing to hoy out of the cupboard, but I do wonder how durable it will be.

So, in summary: versatile, compact, lightweight, not perfect for short people.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a great set by a trusted brand that’s been around for years and that’s perfected its craft. I suppose that if you use every part of this appliance and were to buy the bits individually, you’d spend a bit more than the current selling price, so in that sense, it’s value for money. But, it’s a lot to fork out in one go if you want it, as I do, mainly for the bread-making part. And, it’s geared at larger households, so for one or two people, there’s a lot of space taken up by the appliance, which also means that a lot of storage is needed. But, it is a beauty to have and to use!

We tested this out by making the same bread – hoagies, one batch using the machine and one by hand. Both versions were delicious but the bread made with this machine took far less time and came out a little springier and seemed to taste more of the milk and butter that went into the mix. Maybe it was the use of the dough hook and the method of blending things evenly, so it was a good comparison to make to determine if the machine will be taken out for Sunday afternoon baking – YES!

Whilst I’ve not used the other parts of this appliance (meat grinder [would most people bother, I wonder, seeing store-bought mince is quick and easy to use?] food processor, centrifugal juicer, juicer, whisk, grater) other than the blender, everything seems sturdy and solid, with some serious sharpness to the blades, which will need to be stored carefully (there are no guards). It’s up to individuals to decide if it’s for them, as for me, much of this set will go unused, which is down to the fact that I have a two-person household and work long hours, and therefore take shortcuts. It’s definitely not a reflection on the appliance, which actually, could be shared between households if not in daily use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy biggest problem with large kitchen appliances is where to store them all. Then once I have them stored I never use them because it just too much hassle to dig them out. This product solves this dilemma and then some.

Firstly it looks very tidy and understated as the base product with just the whisk and bowl on display and most importantly does take up nearly as much space as some of those mixer designed as decoration rather function.

The sheer amount of extra accessories is staggering and in the few weeks I have had it I still haven’t tried them all but the ones I have used have all been great. I use the blender every day for smoothies and the various mixer attachments every weekend for home baking with the kids. Having made a variety of cakes and breads I can strongly recommend it solely as a mixer.

But it’s not solely a mixer and from what I have experienced it does everything else pretty fantastically. I would say the juicer seems a bit unnecessary as I don’t think the result are any better or quicker than doing it by hand.

Overall I think it’s fantastic and it’s already had more use than all of my other kitchen appliances.

Everything you could need in one tidy machine

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe had researched many mixers over last few months, we decided on this one, having only used it once our view is a little restricted. Hubby used it to make bread and found the dough hook was not strong enough to mix properly. Other than that we are very pleased with it. Lots if extras at a good price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy daughter really likes to make cakes and try new recipes and when I showed her that I ordered this multifunction kitchen robot for her, she was happier than with her birthday presents.

I can say that we all love this mixer. My husband likes to try his talent as a chef and often makes pizza dough with this great mixer.
I tried most of his functions and I can say that I adore him. I grated parmesan cheese for caesar salad, we made dough, apple juice and smoothie and much more.

It has just about everything you could want in a kitchen. It is very easy to use everything click in place as it should and as a safety measure if anything is not properly placed the mixer will not power on.
Everything seems to be of a superior quality. I can say that the price reflects the quality.

It is also very easy to clean. The accessories that we don’t use too often, we deposited in a box in the cabinet so it does not take up too much space on the table.

I can highly recommend this to everyone who needs a top quality food processor for their kitchen.

    Top quality

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell this certainly provides everything you’ll ever need. You can’t move for attachments what with a Stainless Steel Chopping Blade, Thin Slice Fine Grate Disc, Think Slice Coarse Grate Disc, Extra Fine Grate Disc, 4.3L Mixing Bowl, K-Beater, Whisk, Dough Tool, Blender, Food Mincer, Juice Extractor and Citrus Juicer. Having said that the mixer itself doesn’t take up much room on the counter so there is plenty of space for getting your cook on. Having said that, the user manual isn’t great and I’d knocked half a point off if that were possible. But a bit of guesswork and fiddling around and I got to grips with it. Expensive but quality.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have a bit of an emotional attachment to the Kenwood Chef. My mother got one in the 60’s when I was a child and so it is embedded in a lot of my fond memories of family life – from bread making to cakes. I remember learning to whip cream with the wisk until it was just right (and what happens if you leave it too long). Then there was the thrill of milkshakes with icecream and icecubes added in the blender. I could go on…..

The thing is, I could never justify the outlay for my own. So a whole number of cheaper food processors have passed through my kitchen since then. Until now. This Kenwood is like the model from the 60’s – but better. It comes with all the attachments and I am pleased to say the build quality still seems to be good as my Mum’s (that lasted at least 30 years to my knowledge). I love this machine. You probably need a whole cupboard to keep all the bits in, but that is a small price to pay. Really pleased to have my own at last!
