I absolutely love how stylish this kettle is in my kitchen. I really like how I can adjust the temperature for things such as filling hot water bottles. It matches my mixer, next up the toaster.

This kettle was rather expensive. But I really do believe that you get what you pay for. Looks great and does a great job. Thank you

It’s a beast. Solid, well constructed and good looking in a slightly retro way. Not too noisy and quick to boil it also has heat setting for when you make green tea and herb or fruit brews. First impression are all good but as ever, time will tell and I expect this kettle to be around for a long time or I shall want to know why.

I love this kettle so much that I treated my son and daughter-in-law to one. They chose one in red. They also love its superb sublime design, its quietness, its ease of use. Not cheap but well worth the cost for the value added feel of a beautiful kitchen appliance.

Expensive? Probably, but good looking, well made and does the job it should do perfectly. To say it’s enjoyable to use may seem odd and possibly a bit sad. On the other hand having used many a kettle over the years this is without doubt the best of the lot. By far. As a kettle is likely the kitchen tool used more than any other why on earth would you stint over a few extra quid.

Being someone who enjoys a variety of herbal teas and the occasional coffee, I found out that ‘boiling’ the kettle in order to make these beverages is apparently detrimental to the resultant flavour. So with this in mind looked at what alternatives to the norm are available and discovered the KitchenAid Artisan Kettle (mine is the Almond Cream version)

    The product:
Measuring H21cmxD21cm and weighing 2.15kg with the power outlet being 240v/3kW. A total capacity of 1.5ltr with fast boil and adjustable temperature range of 50-100C. Dual wall construction with concealed heating element, removable lime scale filter, temperature viewing thermometer, water gauge and soft grip handle. 360 stable base with non slip feet and cord storage. Cordless operation and cool touch wall.

    The verdict:
I purchased this kettle in July 2017 brand new at an extremely competitive price (ex shop display) and it is still going strong. I like the idea of heating the water to the desired temperature, rather than boiling the guts out of it. Helps reduce electricity consumption, thereby reducing cost and cutting down on carbon footprint, kinder to the planet and less wear and tear on the kettle itself.
Whilst some may think this is an expensive kettle, personally I think it is worth it for the long term savings in bills, the larger capacity and its sexy good looks. If it ever conks out, I can’t imagine going back to a standard 1ltr kettle that simply boils. A long lasting and robust piece of kit.
PS: I thought all KitchenAid products were made in the USA; kettles are made in China.
The above narrative is my opinion only and does not in any way represent KitchenAid or Amazon EU S..r.L.

Although this kettle is expensive – it’s our 2nd one and it’s just a gorgeous addition to our kitchen – very quiet and boils quickly. Highly recommended item and seller – it arrived before the quoted date.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCompared to other products on the market it was a bit more expensive but looks great in our new kitchen. Perfect for making coffee as the kettle can be set to ‘boil’ at a lower temperature so not scalding the grinds.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI have to say, I bought mine from another vendor who offered next day delivery, so this is a review of the KETTLE – not Amazon’s provision of it!

Ultimately, in terms of serving its primary function, this kettle boils water rapidly, so on that account I can’t fault it.
Where it elevates (or not!) is on the additional features:
First, the kettle keeps water hot forlonger than any I’ve had before; not to the extent that you can make another drink 20 minutes later, but it does mean it takes less energy to reheat the water next time.
Though metal, due to the insulation, the sides only ever feel “warm”, so no risk of hurting yourself on it accidentally if you touch it.
The variable temperature concept is great, but not accurate. I heated mine to 95c, then used a thermometer to check it and it was actually 90c. I then tried 60c and it came to 56c (consistently the temperature never matched the lever position, unless it was on full 100c – sometimes not even then) – so if this is a big influencer for you, a digital model might be a better choice.
The temp gauge indicator dial is wildly inaccurate. Sometimes out by as much as 20c – though this is only ever “under”, (I.e. says it’s 100c when it’s actually 80c) so not SO much a safety risk but not reliable for reference.
In the end, i just kept the lever on 100c for black tea, and 90c (which was typically really between 75 and 85c) for coffee or green tea. This set up always makes perfect drinks, but is trial and error which is a shame.
The “on” button is on the side of the base, which is fine in theory but means you have to be mindful where it will be positioned so it’s easy to access. It would be better being front and centre, or on the actual kettle, but I can live with it!
The cable is a good length, and can be neatly wound into the base – and the base is good and solid with a firm connection to the kettle.
The lid is permanently attached, flipping up with a button touch, and closing with a cool-touch pad/ button, and the filter slides out of the spout cradle for cleaning.
The entire build quality is great really – and the overall design (not gonna lie – the main reason I bought it!) is absolutely beautiful – it’s just the dial and temp adjustment functionality that are poorly executed.

So overall; if you need AN ACCURATE adjustable temperature kettle, e.g. for baby bottles, then I cannot recommend it; if you just want to boil water, the price of this is way too high; but if, like me, you’re driven by design/ aesthetic, this is a technically functional kettle but a truly beautiful one.

It just annoys me that the price tag and brand should ensure that the added (though admittedly for me, nice-to-have) features are well executed – not just extremely pretty!

I got it a week ago and honestly a life saver in this winter. Firstly I would like to applaud Amazon’s delivery timing. I was sick and needed it badly and as fast as possible. I ordered at night and it was delivered to me the next day morning. It heats water pretty fast. Take about a minute or two, depending on quantity on water. Haven’t used it for anything else other than boiling water though. But that’s good enough for me.
Time saver, easy to use, satisfactory.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks pretty well. Great value for money. If it lasts for at least a year I will be very happy – we make our electric kettles work hard in our household. Some parts of the handle and the body can get a little hot. But we are aware of this and we handle it carefully. all in all a good buy.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThe first thing I noticed as I unpacked this kettle was the sheer high quality. The finish is incredible, like enamel. I have this kettle in candy apple, which is a rich deep glowing red – like a toffee apple (darker than the photo here which may be the “Empire red” option. The kettle comes in 6 colours (depending where you buy it). The base is far more substantial than any kettle I have owned before; the whole thing is extremely stable.
I didn’t realise how much I would use the temperature variation options. There is a beautifully made lever which lights up and shows the temp process and then the kettle gives a discreet Jeeves-like beep when it reaches the desired heat and switches off.
It has a Rolls Royce quiet to it due to the double walls which also keep the water hot for a long time, very nice when you want a top-up. It boils the water very quickly.
It comes with a useful guide to optimum temps for various drinks, coffee, various teas etc.
It is especially useful for coffee buffs who need their water at exactly the right temp for an aeropress for example.
Also for filling hot water bottles it is brilliant as they shouldn’t have boiling water in them of course.
I have arthritis in my hands but this is so well-balanced with a comfortable non-slip grip I find it easy to lift even when filled to max. It pours perfectly. I bought my kettle from Aga cookshop for about 110 with free postage. When you think that a kettle will last for 5-10 years, this feels like the bargain of the year. I am so pleased with it I have bought another two; one for my daughter and one for a wedding present. I could not be more delighted with this. I love it.
