Great comfort, it makes a huge difference compared to the default head-strap that the Oculus Quest 2 device comes with.
Something I would highly recommend even if you do not spend too much time in VR, comfort is important to take into consideration.

The “KIWI design Head Strap Accessories, Elite Strap for Enhanced Support and Comfort” headstrap is the only strap that’s felt comfortable for both my wife and myself. We tried many straps, but they all felt too small for me or too loose for my wife or just had other major problems, like easily breakable bands or bad audio. This one, however, has been used somewhat heavily the past 2 weeks, and we haven’t felt like there are any reasons to switch to another strap. My wife’s head is somewhere in the middle area of its supported head sizes, and she really loves how well it stays on the back of her head and doesn’t wiggle. We also let a small neighbor kid try it on to see if it fits, and while it fits somewhat snug for the kid, it does wiggle slightly. Still, the only tight option we’ve found other than this one that works for larger heads is an elastic strap.
I use it for development purposes as well. That means I have to take the HMD off my face frequently to type on the keyboard and read my screens and all that. This strap lets the HMD sit on my forehead very comfortably. It can be tighted to stay put on top of your head instead of on your face, which helps me a ton! I really love this feature and have never seen it actually work in other straps before this one. I half expected it not to work when I bought this.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t issues, though. It’s not perfect. For starters, there’s no battery compartment here. You can easily attach a battery to it at the neck or at the spot right above the adjustment knob, mind you, using your own method of attachment. We have not yet tried to attach a battery or wear headphones with this strap, but it seems like it would be easily doable. The other problem is integrated audio or rather the lack of it. Having the strap on there, we use the Oculus Quest 2 built-in speakers, because there’s no integrated headphone solution. For $40, we kind of expect something more than just the strap, so the lack of a battery holder and lack of audio solution make this a little disappointing. That said, it’s sort of a blessing in disguise, because we’d rather use our own headphones and aren’t shying away from attaching a 3d printed battery holder or tying a battery to it at least.
Overall, it’s a good headstrap. A great one even. It just costs slightly more than it should. If you’re OK with a premium price, it’s a great option. It works well for practically any head size, even very small heads, and it’s extremely snug if you want it to be. It works for dev ops, and it works for active games like Beat Saber.
Great fit now and the Oculus feels much more balanced and comfortable to wear.
This makes the headset so much more comfortable. It’s also easier to adjust it when you let someone else have a go. Would definitely recommend it!
I wasn’t sure whether to bother getting this, after all I already had the original Quest 2 deluxe strap, but I’m glad I did. This is so much more comfy than the deluxe strap, easy to fit and doesn’t make my head after 5 minutes. Worth every penny for those long gaming sessions.

This head strap is very comfortable. I already have a non brand elite strap and this Kiwi Design one is way more comfortable. It is very easy to install as well. The cushioned padding is very very soft and when wearing the Oculus 2 you do not notice the straps, just the Oculus weight on your face. The tightening wheel on the back is easy to reach and feel for when the headset is on and loosening is easy too. I have played a few hours at a time with this head strap on and it is very comfortable. I even plugged in the link cable and played longer in one session and was very impressed that I did not feel like I had something pressing on my head for that amount of time. The strap comes with a gray cloth as well which is meant to wipe off any moisture / sweat after playing. They also say in the manual that you should not use any detergents or alcohol cleaners. The cloth is enough to keep it from getting mold developing on it. Overall I am very happy with this strap and it has now replaced my other strap. The whole device also fits easily into the carry case I have for my Oculus. Overall – very very happy.
I have been using this head strap for a month now and had no problems. Just make sure you for attach it the the Quest 2 upside down like I did. If you do you will find the back rest keeps popping out. But that was really down me rushing probably. The design is comfortable and not too bulky and fits well with the Quest 2 design.

Bought due to the original Elite strap from Occulas cracking in the first week of use. So far my son has used this strap without issue for a couple of months.
It’s so easy to use and so much more comfortable than the stock strap.
The tightening mechanism allows you to easily adjust on the fly.
It does make the whole headset bulkier in terms of storing it away but that’s totally fine in terms of how comfortable it is now.
Definitely going to order more KIWI design stuff.

Straight away comfy, massive difference to game play, easy to use and install, and (insert disclaimer here) if you tag a powerbank to the back of this headrest you can balance the weight of the oculus and make it last a full week of use on one charge, loving it.

Huge improvement on the original headband takes all the pressure off your head and is very comfortable
Solid, quality build that is very comfortable. Great twist lock mechanism which is easy to use. It’s expensive but completely worth it, and is night and day compared to others. The hinge is surprisingly usefull, even if you wear glasses you can hinge up the back to take it off easier (rather than hinge the front).
Fits like a glove I cannot believe I have put up with the standard strap not knowing that there was more comfort to be found elsewhere this product has changed my experience with the Oculus Quest 2 and is made by overall experience 10 times better just the added immersion to having a comfy strap-on your head makes all the difference very sturdy and made of top quality materials my favourite part of the headstrap is the cushioned strap that goes over the top of the head as before the stockstrap used to give me migraines
I would recommend this to all Oculus users and find it would be even amazing if Oculus itself would team up and make this the strap that is sold with the Oculus Quest 2 as default what an amazing job you have done with this product kiwi designs you have outdone yourself I’ll be looking forward to trying more of your products in the near future….
I bought this mainly to enable me to share the Oculus with others as the strap is easy to adjust. It is also easier to put on if wearing glasses.
This is really comfy and holds secure. But if you want to use headphones. Your going to have to feed them through, so that the head strap goes over the top of the headphones band.
Other than that seems fine.
Being able to quickly flip it up without adjusting the knob at the back is pretty fantastic as well.
It’s rare that I review something on Amazon, but this one warrants it.
Definitely will keep an eye on KIWI products for the future
Just the strap alone, makes it so much easier to actually put on, take off, share with friends.
But because of the design, it actually balances out the Quest 2 and makes it feel like it’s sitting on your head instead of just dangling off your face.
Well worth the money
This head strap is comfy. One suggestion for this, is the top strap needs more adjustment as the strap still can’t sit on my head without there being a gap, so I still need to over tighten the sides/back. Because the strap is think I can’t pull anymore through, so a bit more strap needs to be narrow and unpadded.
But very good and easy to use.
Now if you are reading this you probably already have the Oculus, know how amazing it is, and want to do something about the comfort issues.
After some research I found there are 3 choices.
The Oculus Elite strap – which is undoubtedly excellent, but is also prone to breaking.
The BoboVR M2 – which is apparently superb, but finding one in the UK is difficult at time of writing.
The Kiwi Design Elite strap – which is absolutely brilliant and also easy to buy!
What this, and the other improved straps, do is that they distribute the weight of the Oculus (it is not exactly heavy) better across your head and have much better padding.
The result of all of that is comfort levels that allow you to play for as long as you wish (or the battery lasts)!
Fitting it is simple enough. just watch the youtube video and it becomes obvious.
Others on here have written in more detail, so if you want more, go read them.
I will just say, if you buy this, you won’t be disappointed and you will understand why people do this upgrade.

This strap has improved my VR experience greatly. Using the default elastic strap, I found that I could only play comfortably for 15 minutes before feeling like my head was being crushed but using this strap I have been able to play for more than 3 hours at a time with next to no discomfort. I no longer have to take a break from VR to rest my head and it has made playing VR a joy.
In the box, I found the strap, rear cushion and top strap, a microfiber Kiwi Design branded cleaning cloth and the instruction manual. The manual was very neat and featured simple graphics to explain how to install the strap. This was very easy to follow. I really appreciate the addition of the microfiber cloth as this is something that I did not expect and to me, it shows that Kiwi Design care about the user experience.
The strap can be adjusted easily with a clicky knob on the back Velcro on the top and the strap itself is well built and mirrors the design aesthetic of the headset perfectly. It looks like a genuine meta product. I love the memory foam back padding and top strap as it can mould to the shape of your head to improve comfort greatly. The PU leather is also really good as it does not absorb sweat and oils and feels cool on the head. The fact that the cushioning can be removed simply with Velcro is also appreciated as it means for easy cleaning. I have also found that the strap is so comfortable that I can use it for 30mins plus with no discomfort without the top strap applied (not that there is any reason to).
I also really like the addition of the rotating hinge as I have been (attempting) learning VR game dev meaning that I have to take the headset on and off frequently to see my screen but this feature means that I can simply tilt the headset up and down whilst still being on my head.
Some tips that I found whilst using the strap are to have the hinge tilted when putting the headstrap on as it means that you do not have to loosen and tighten the knob every time you want to put it on or take it off. My second tip is to attach a power bank to the lower part of the rear cushion which can be done easily by attaching it with cable ties underneath the cushion Velcro as to not impede comfort. Adding this powerbank means that you have more power to keep your headset running for longer as well as balancing the weight of the headset on your head making for an even more comfortable experience.
In conclusion, this is an excellent headstrap with some excellent comfort features that has clearly been thoughtfully designed. I would reccomend this to anyone who finds the default quest 2 strap uncomfortable.

Bought this because the oculus original head band very uncomfortablethis is a lot better, easy to change and the padding makes it more comfortable and takes the weight of your cheeks.
I didn’t plan on getting a new strap when I first bought my Quest 2, but after hearing a bunch of people recommending it I decided to a better when. It was either this or the elite strap and more people suggested this, so I picked it. They were right!
It’s far more comfortable than the stock strap and balances the weight out nicely. Now i’s not as uncomfortable to wear the Quest for long periods of time. I really like that you can also use the screw on the back to tighten the whole thing, and that you can use the hinges on the side to flip the headset up when you need to do something, and then flip it back down when you’re done. The padding hugs your head nicely when you tighten it up. The whole thing is just well put together full stop.
TL;DR: Great purchase, and if you’re planning to get a new strap, I’d definitely recommend it.
Excelent design, simple to assemble and use. Very conferable, a must have in my opinion if you have a Oculus Quest 2.
The stock Oculus 2 strap is junk – fiddly, uncomfortable, worse than the Oculus 1 strap. This Kiwi set is so much better, it takes the weight off your face and distributes it evenly. It’s quck and easy to adjust and very comfortable.
If you still have the original strap, do yourself a favour, get this and bin the stock one.
Now I can waste more time by playing games without pain in my forehead! Sweet!
Wow did not expect the Quality of this product to me so amazing!! The old straps was always giving me headaches either the straps was to lose or it has to be tight on you’re face and with the old straps it wasn’t comfortable at all it was fiddly to tighten when letting my nephews or my mum on the oculus like they couldn’t tighten it what so ever they struggled with it, but this new strap is so easy to take off and put on it’s amazing all you have to do is tighten the wheel on the back you can literally do it with one hand it’s that easy, and the fact that it has super soft almost like a plush feel material is just a game changer as soon as I put on the new strap it’s a whole different experience it’s so comfortable, say good bye to headaches and hello to finally gaming in Comfort such a game changer I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of changing the straps I’d even say it’s better then the official quest 2 one that looks similar but the official quest one has no padding what so ever so this product makes it so much better , if your thinking of buying one and you’re thinking would it even make a difference, trust me you’ll be happy you did and you will probably chuck the old strap in the bin haha. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

Like many people, I got my Quest 2 for Christmas and realised I needed a new strap. Lot of research said the Elite wasn’t great, but the KIWI one was. But they cost the same. Should I go for a brand I don’t know? In the end I did and I’m really pleased with it.
I am going to use this for a very long time
Very comfy, easily adjustable – I am moving around alot as I like playing cricket VR games – so feels like a helmet in that case – just more fitted. Would recommend if you want to do with the flimsy straps Oculus comes with.
Love this headset why something like this wasn’t included with the oculus is beyond me.

Very well made, I do see it breaking any time soon. Very comfortable to wear and stays firmly in place. The strap over the top of the head is nicely padded. I love the fact that it is hinged at the side, which facilitates easy fitting and removal, without constant re-adjustment.
It’s actually the first time a buy something like this and I have to say that I was actually surprised. It’s the middle range product, with this I mean it’s not too cheap and it doesn’t feel like it, and at the same time it’s not too expensive.
My impression when I used it is that the visor actually is well balanced on my head, with this I mean that it doesn’t feel like all the weight is at the front, so weighing on cheek bones.
It feels sturdy enough to support for long plays, as I love playing beat saber I find myself wearing the headset for a couple of hours with no issue. With this new gadget the weight of the headset feels well distributed on and around my head, which is the reason why I bought it in the first place.
It really changed the way I play games on the oculus.
The only downside is that it doesn’t fit a standard oculus case, I need to remove the padding to be able to close the case.
But that’s just a minor issue that is compensated by the actual comfort.
I would recommend this product to other oculus users?! Yes, definitely.

Title says it all comfy I used to only be able to play for 2 hours max without it causing discomfort to my head but this strap I can play for 7/10 hours and still be comfortable
My husband ordered this as the original head strap was hurting his head after a little while. I didn’t have an issue myself but always made sure i had a ponytail so i had extra cushioning i guess. I will admit, it is far more comfortable and feels more secure than the original strap and my husband has noticed such a difference. It’s so easy to adjust too, which is a bonus. The only reason i decided not to give the full 5 stars is that the hinges that let you lift the front up are so stiff i can’t use it. My husband has managed but we’re not too bothered about that aspect. It may loosen up a bit in time, we shall see.
Omg the difference in comfort is amazing, I didn’t even realise how uncomfortable the original strap was until I got this, no more sliding down when working out, can even see better as more aligned with my eyes!
Does exactly what you’d imagine and hope it to do; namely that it makes the whole experience significantly more comfortable and all round enjoyable. I opted for this version over the Oculus original as it fits smaller head sizes for my kids and looked more padded – which it is. I can’t see why anyone would be disappointed in this product over the Oculus original product.

This is the most comfortable head strap I have used to date
It’s much better than the strap that came with the quest 2, well worth getting and only downside is the tightening ring is not flush to the headstrap so if you plan to lay down you can’t do on hard floor comfortably.
However, and I hope my case isn’t a reflection of many, the strap has broken after a little over 3wks of use. To put this into perspective, I use the Quest 2 infrequently – roughly 5 a week give or take. So I can’t say that the fault is due to excessive use.
Specifically, the fault is in the release/tightening mechanism at the back of the headset. After tightening, as usual when putting the headset on, the mechanism has completely locked itself in place and so now cannot be released. The only way to get it on off is by undoing the side clips and taking the whole strap off which isn’t exactly a viable option.
The long and short of it is, this should have been and probably is a great product but I’ve simply received something that is defective and is now practically useless meaning the experience has unfortunately not been a positive one.
UPDATE – Kiwi reached out to me directly on this product and offered a full replacement sent directly to me. Upon receipt, everything worked as expected and I’ve been using the product without a single issue. Let me say this – the products Kiwi put out are to a great standard however, what’s more impressive is the customer service. Absolutely top notch.
Only had this delivered an hour ago got it set up no problem and I’m so glad I bought it. The difference from the normal strap to this is a 3 to a 10 so much more better and comfortable definitely recommend to anyone that wants a better quest experience
This is on the pricey side but is FAR more comfortable than the default strap and not as expensive as the elite strap so I am happy with my purchase overall.

Having used the original quest 2 head strap, I found that it was uncomfortable and difficult to sit on my head nicely. After finding this one on Amazon, I was impressed with it, it feels so much more comfortable on my head and it is easy to tighten up. It is so much better to use than the original and I’m glad that I chose this headset strap.
Kiwi Design Elite Strap
Straps for VR are a very personal thing, what some people may find comfortable, others not so much. However, I bought this for my Oculus 2 since the stock strap seems no more than some knicker elastic that has to be over tightened to provide any support. Most agree that the stock strap is one of the first things you need or should replace, this is where online video reviews come in.
This strap has a pretty universal loved rating, it’s strong, light and above all the comfort level is amazing. It’s a replacement for the official elite strap since there has bee. ‘issues’ with them Kiwi made their own, and its a thing of beauty.
Easy to use, just clips onto the standard arms of the Oculus and off you go. Once in place and tightened there is zero movement even on my big bonce it just hugs your head in a memory foam cloud.
It could be cheaper sure, but you only really get what you pay for so as far as value for money goes, I’m more than happy with the price. The only negative is the adjustment dial sticks out a little making movie watching a little uncomfortable but for gaming, working out I don’t think you’ll find a better strap unless you want a halo style then is this obviously isn’t for you.
In short…. If you need a strap (and if you’re still using stock you probably do) then buy this one, it’s comfy and so easy to use you can’t help but join the masses and love it.
The following is my personal opinion only.
This head strap is fantastic.
Now we’ve got that out of the way I can give you some details.
I’ve tried 5 separate head straps – not including the stock version, and this Kiwi design version is simply the most comfortable I’ve ever used.
I’ve alwats had an issue where after about 30 – 45 minutes of playing I get an ache on the rear of my head where the rear part of other head straps sit.
Not with this baby – it’s padding is really thick – coupled with the (I think?) first use of a padded cross-head strap makes it a no brainer for me.
I would really say that you shouldn’t waste your money on any other replacement head strap (at the moment) as this is the best.
Forget the Oculus version, forget the Chinese imports which, for the money, do a reasonable job, just get this one.
Also, the joint allows you to raise it up to an angle almost like a flip-up headset which can be a real boon when you’re fiddling with settings etc. on the fly.
So, all in all, it was the best accessory I’ve purchased for my Q2!
I just got my quest 2 a couple days ago and one major issues I had was the battery life so I was looking for a while and most alternatives I saw looked good but most were sold out (understandable).
I then came across this, I knew of Kiwi through YouTube video recommendations so I decided to go with it and take the risk given there were no previous reviews and boy was it worth it.
It’s easy to install, feels very durable and is so much more comfortable than the original strap. It also works very well with the GETIHU powerbank I bought. I feel with the strap and powerbank it balances out the weight so it too so it isn’t too heavy on your face.
Overall a great purchase and will definitely buy from Kiwi again, should I need anything else.
Fits great and feels so comfortable, this is the third I have tried and this makes all the difference, can play quest for hours now, easy to fit and adjust. Really pleased. Seems expensive for what it is but worth every penny because it makes using the Quest 2 so much better!!
Had bobo VR for 6 months, was great but then snapped. amazon refunded so I bought one of these – seems really solid and hopefuly won’t break
So I researched the alternate straps, ruled out the Elite Strap due to the sheer number of breakages (thanks everyone for the feedback), and eventually decided this KiwiDesign strap seemed to get the best overall review. I don’t usually leave reviews but just had to for this product, this is truly a great design with solid build qualitycomfort light years ahead of the default strap, the headset is now supported rock solid but with the weight distributed/supported, the balance is perfect. A forward weighted product demanded a headache inducing tight strap to hold it semi steady, except it never did which in turn induced focus/blur issues.
This Kiwidesign strap deals with the issue perfectly, it’s incredible just how much better this feels. With the massively padded rear element it doesn’t even feel tight, but everything just stays in place, hallelujah! The hinged design is such a bonus, easy to get on and off with no messing around with the straps, and readjusting for my son has become a breeze, again a great design and blows the original and Elite straps out of the virtual waterMeta/Oculus take note, give this headset design some recognition for how it hugely enhances your product and effectively deals with the tricky focus issue associated with VR headsets.
Note that the fitment instructions omit to tell you how to get the original strap sides off, thankfully there’s lots of Youtube videos to demonstrate and it’s actually very easy and part of the original design (in terms of being removable).
One last note for any newbs like myself, you really need to invest in a pack of decent micro fibre cloths (the ones used to clean eye glasses), was so disappointed with blur on first use before realising those sticky plastic lens protectors had left behind lots of residue. It’s worth a quick lens wipe before and after every use.
I thought this may have made the quest 2 slightly more comfy for anything more than 30 minutes but this is night and day different! Do it!

This is by far the most comfortable head strap you can buy for the quest 2 imo, Build quality is second to none compared to the official elite strap (which cracked after 3 months of careful use) definitely a must buy five stars.
This headstrap is 10x more comfortable and has a very premium feel. The leather padding is super soft, and the design allows for the quest to hinge upward so you don’t have to take it off your head when you want to look around. Additionally, The tightening mechanism is extremely strong and feels very secure. I haven’t had a single issue or complaint, even when playing the most strenuous games like Thrill of the Fight (boxing). This headstrap has kept me comfy and never loosened once. Don’t waste your time on the other cheap Amazon ones – this is my go to recommendation for sure.
However, I’m pleased to report that the Kiwi strap has fixed this issue.
Pressure is now nicely distributed between the front and back of my head – and I’ve played Resident Evil 4 sessions until the battery ran out!
However, I have to knock one point off because it doesn’t QUITE fit into the official Quest case.
I can fit everything in – but the zip won’t go the whole way around.
I travel constantly and rely on the case, so this is a little annoying.
Otherwise, it’s excellent.
With reading so much about the issues with the official elite strap I wanted to try something else. Being a Youtube content creator im constantly using the quest headset with long sessions. This one from kiwi is so comfortable and easy to use.
The setup is simple and fits snug on your face removes the pressure and you can control the size with a lever on the back. It also has a hinge so you can hinge it up from your head while still keeping it on.
Its a must buy for all vr users

I have had this strap for a couple of months now. I have to say I really like the strap, it is so much more comfy then the normal strap. Also as a add bonus my battery pack still fits on this strap too.

Never mind what type of game I have played with it, from rhythm games, shooters, or more relaxing games like fishing/golf it has kept it’s comfort and support to a level not achieved by the even the official strap.
If you are looking for a strong and conformable head strap replacement for your Quest 2, this is certainly the product you want.
It took a little while to install, but it’s fairly straightforward when reading the instructions.
The dial on the back is easy to use and kept it securely in place.
Very comfortable – The head strap is very comfortable, the support piece at the back seemed well shaped, and the cushioning at the back of the head strap means it sits well with no discomfort. I find it much more comfortable that the original elastic head strap and the Oculus elite head strap. I can play for hours with no discomfort.
Easily adjustable – The head strap is easily adjustable with hinged pieces at either side and a turning adjuster at the back.
Sturdy and secure – With playing movement intensive games a sturdy and secure head strap is a must, and I feel that the Kiwi Designs head strap certainly fits that description. Once on I did not have to adjust and reposition my headset at all, even after active movement. The build quality and material quality seem high and even the colour of the head strap matches perfectly with the Quest 2.
Overall, very happy with the Kiwi Designs head strap.
Very comfortable, compared to the original Oculus strap which not comfortable and keeps slipping down. This strap is very firm and your Quest 2 stays still. A bit expensive though.
Comfort for me is just incredible. Very easy to fit to the quest 2. I was previously using the HTC deluxe audio strap.
