The Ledger Nano is a great way of keeping your crypto secure. However there have been reports of third party sellers tampering with devices to steal funds. For this reason it is recommended to by the device direct from the manufacture
More simple to use than the ‘Safepal’ hard wallet I bought a few years and which never worked.
The Ledger nano x is relatively easy to use but has a very limited user manual, you have to get instructions online. The main problem with the nano x is its lack of memory space. I’ve stored ethereum and xrp apps with only room for one more.
I don’t deal with many different cryptos so I thought the S would be perfect- the 3 apps I needed were ETH SOL and BTC. Unfortunately there wasn’t quite enough memory to store these 3 different apps on the S so I bought an X

Yes. Amazon supplied me an Authentic Nano S from Ledger at a good price, a tenner cheaper.
Even a person in their 70’s managed to get to grips with it after some research and practise.
It came supplied with a standard USB to PC lead, I didn’t need to use the extra Lead pack x3 (12)
unless I start using an Apple or other type C plug.
All in all, working fine, with a few cryptos on the wallet.
If you want keep your crypto tokens safe , please use only LEDGER
Very well designed gadget. To clarify, you still need to store your backup seed in paper. You won’t loose your money as long as you don’t loose that paper. The device has a password and it allows you to sign transactions easily, if something happens to it you can just get another one. It’s the seed you need to protect.
Easy to set up after watching a video on line. Easy to use once you’re up to speed with how it operates. Comes with a usb lead to connect to a pc, would be great if it also had an adaptor to connect this lead into my phone as well. A separate purchase sorted this issue. Would also be better if you could keep more than three apps on it at a time, I think removing and reinstalling apps might become trying over time. The more expensive Nano X device solves this issue apparently so might be worth considering.
Great to keep your crypto on. I bought the nanox as it holds more apps so I don’t have to keep deleting to add other crypto. Get the Nano x then nano s, as a back up. That is now what I do. Remember keep your private key safe and never give them anyone EVER

The Ledger software is very easy to set up and secure your crypto. The first time you use it it’s daunting when you’re putting your crypto on the blockchain but start with a small amount (not Bitcoin, something with low fees) and then you can check you’re using it all correctly.

Very easy to set up and transfer into, the app is great for checking your portfolio. Only snag is that it realistically only holds three different currencies via their own app. Bargain for the money but if you hold a lot of different crypto go for the X

Received quickly. All sealed. However i had to return it due to not being compatible with my Windows Laptop. The Nano only works with 64-Bit Windows so check yours before you buy. I was disappointed that i had to return it as it was a good deal.
Take time and concentration to set up and the process is a bit laborious but worth it when you consider the risk of losing your assets of you do it wrong. It’s well worth watching some tutorial videos before you get started. All in all everything went smoothly for me. It’s worth noting for newbies that your coins aren’t stored on the device or with Ledger, this is just a secure access wallet. Even if your Ledger device is lost, stolen or broken you can still get access to your coins by using your back up seed.

The majority of negative reviews come from people who seem to not research exactly what they are buying. If you are aware of its limitations in terms of storage and how to work around this you’ll be fine. If not, do yourself a favour and just buy the Nano X.
Yes, you can only have around 4 apps installed at a time but this doesn’t impact the number of coins or tokens you can protect. Yes it can be cumbersome to uninstall and reinstall apps to send crypto but for me it wasn’t a dealbreaker. It’s half the cost of the Nano X and with supply issues of the X I needed one sooner rather than later so was happy to settle on the Nano S.
Would I buy the Nano S again? Yes but not if the availability of the Nano X is better when I need to buy another. Why? The Nano X has capacity for 100+ apps compared to around 4. It has Bluetooth functionality and works with their mobile apps and therefore doesn’t need the cable when interacting with Ledger Live which makes things a little easier.

So I have many different coins can only get 4 different coins currently on this and the pin security is annoying, after buying the ledger I have read that it only lasts 5 years before the inbuilt battery dies now the while point of this was to hold for ten years.
Its not worth it get the X
This product worked perfectly. Easy to follow instructions were great. Always videos on YouTube or help on the exchange you’re using if you’re unsure. All a bit daunting as a first-timer buying crypto but my crypto feels safe now. Only issue I could point out is whilst this is a cold storage hardware wallet, I’ve read you will still need to plug-in for updates every so often so watch out for that.
It is a decent product and software is good to use but I feel it’s abit too pricey for what is a USB really
If you need to add more than 18 Crypto’s you need to buy Ledger Nano X. Other than that, a great product, definitely safe.
Following the instructions carefully I found this very easy to use.
The problem with the Nano S is this: Some apps are a lot larger than others, so I was expecting to get 5 on there, but ended up with 3 due to the S having a tiny amount of storage. On my Ledger, one app in particular is taking up half the storage!
Long story short: If you are only interested in collection a couple of different currencies the Nano S is fine, but if you think you might at all expand your portfolio in the future, pay the extra and get the Nano X (as I will be shortly). The X isn’t double the space of the S, it’s many many times the size.
Also, never ever ever buy a crypto wallet second hand or from somewhere like eBay where you have no idea who’s touched it. Only ever buy it new. You want to know, 100%, that you are only person who’s ever used it. It’s not like buying a physical wallet. It’s the keys to your digital safe. You wouldn’t buy a safe from someone if you thought they might be able to come to your house and open it, would you?

Really happy with my purchase. Feels well made and looks the business. Pretty easy to use it says to sit in a quiet room out of the way and you do need to concentrate setting it up. But once its done its really simple to use. Take your time setting it up and you will have no issues.
Very good device, follow instructions to set up no problems. If you’re a new or old hand at crypto you need one of these . Remember- with online wallets, not your keys not your coins. With ledger you are in full control of YOUR assets.

I’ve been using this wallet for a while now, having only just got into crypto trading, it has been very easy for me to use. Easy to set up, with a great computer software. Secure and easy to use, what more do you want from a crypto wallet?
My only criticism would be the low storage so if you’d like to store more than 5 different currencies, you may want to go for the Ledger Nano X
I used to rely on online wallets and have lost hundreds of pounds over the years. Tbh I thought it would be harder to use than it is, so it really is a worthy investment. Hopefully it’s sturdy enough to last the test of time!
The price reflects the security. In that respect it is why you are buying the device and it is excellent value for money.
Online security checks give further piece of mind. Let’s face it if you need the nano x it because you have serious crypto to safeguard.
I am not computer savvy but even I could get this to work within 5 min of a Windows patch update… Open.. Set up… verify. 1 hr max including writing seed in triplicate.
Ledger Nano S would appear to be one of the safest hardware wallets for storing Cryptocurrency. You can use the Ledger Nano S to store numerous Crypto Currencies. I just use it for IOTA (MIOTA) Your private keys are held in a chip, they never leave it. Keep it safe & remember your numbers.
It was easier to use than I thought and plenty of support on their website.

Picked this up to use as cold storage for a variety of crypto.
Some niggling troubles with windows 10 that are resolved by enabling “experimental” mode in settings.
Quite happy with it, easy to use and good value.
Satisfied. A little disappointed at the memory limit. You can’t use more than 6 cryptocurrencies, you have to hotswap if you want to use another outside your main 6.

Would be nicer if the software side covered more Cryptos. But good to safeguard your investment. Though would be so much better if the USB connector was part of the Nano instead of a separate lead.

It is super easy to set up. Loads of online tutorials on YouTube and other private blogs/site will help you understand what to do.
This easy to use hardware wallet is a must have if you value the security of your crypto.
It also supports a load of coins which is also a plus.
Great security features. Fairly easy to set-up but got stuck on ‘Bootloader’ screen when trying to update. Fixed it by switching from USB-3 Port to USB-2.
The software is pretty good but the prices don’t seem to update that quickly compared to many exchanges.
Overall I’d say it’s still worth having it for peace of mind
This is an excellent product with inbuilt checks for security. I gave it only 3 * for Ease of use as I had to ask someone else to set it for me . I am not a techie. For techies it should be easy to use. Make sure you purchase your Cryptocurrency Wallet from a reputable seller as the key that the supplier provides with the equipment can be used by hackers to access your accounts.
There are exchanges out there that could disappear overnight (known as an ‘exit scam’), and even if you fully trust your exchange, they could be hacked, and all coins/tokens that you store there would be taken. I’ve experienced and both and lost money as a result.

It supports a large amount of coins & tokens, including all ERC20 tokens. It doesn’t support everything (no hardware wallet does), but it supports are very good range of the most popular coins & tokens (and many lesser known ones also), plus there is a very easy to use app which helps manage the coins that are stored on the device).
Theres everything to like about this item from how secure your coins are and how simple it is to use. The only down point is it only has a limited coin storage. Their is an update due so this should correct it.

The main reason for purchase was the security and portability it offered
So far so good. I’m happy that my XRP are off the Exchange and locked up in my safe…. Security seems comprehensive and excellent. You do need to allow an hour or so to get it set up, but time well spent I think.
The best and top rated software wallets on a good day are nearly guaranteed to be high learning curve cumbersome annoyances.
If I didn’t find Ledger and their hardware wallets I’d probably still be a future coinbase victim as no exchange can be trusted.
Best in class developers are what keeps these (Ledger Wallets) ahead of the competition in my opinion. Ledger is constantly patching and updating the software to accommodate the wildly chaotic crypto world adding newer and more coins and keeping up with all the recent hard forks and chain splits.
There are some fine products in this tier but I believe Ledger’s developers set them apart 🙂
