I used to love LEGO Technic when I was young. I missed the chance to get back into it with my own kids, so have seized the opportunity with the grandchildren and we’re all loving it.
A Christmas present for my 9 year old, it kept him busy whilst building it, he needed a little help with the build but on the whole he managed it. He enjoys playing with it now it’s buil
Bought for my husband for Christmas. He’s very pleased with it and is looking forward to putting it together. It looks amazing!
It’s Lego so to be fair it’s great if you like it. My son was happy, 9yo and managed to build it. Would recommend.
My nephew loved it. Managed to build it without any help.
Great gift he really loved it. Good value and quality
A Christmas gift for my nephew. He loves Lego technic and couldn’t wait to build it. Kept him entertained for a few hours and looks grea
Taken me ages. Probably 4 and a half hours through and on the last section. Never done one before and really enjoyed it. I’m 27 and prefer this to getting pissed there days.
Box damaged still factory sealed. Great bargain build, would pay full price for this it is that good to build. Some fiddly bits, would recommend for older builders with patience.
Purchased for both my nephew and Husband. Easy instructions to follow. All in numbered bags. A really nice movable model once assembled
Bought for my 3 grandsons aged 7,8 and 10. Lego technics is always great and keeps them busy . The price was fair.
Bought as Christmas gift for nephew, loves all things cars and Lego so perfect package.
Used the product to build as a couple. Very easy to understand and user friendly
I paid 30 for this item. Just looking at the part count and dimensions, I knew it was too good to pass up. Now that it’s built, I have no regrets. Five stars overall. Four stars for ease of assembly as some bits are a little fiddly.
Fast delivery from seller . Recipient us extremely happy with his gift .
Received as a Christmas present. Lovely model, not too taxing but enough to keep me quiet for a day.
Nice details and obviously, as expected from Lego, top quality parts with even a few spares.
Wanted to but my grandson something he could gain skills from. No games this year . Hope he enjoys putting this togethe
Lego car not made up yet as it a christmas gift not sure how long it takes to make up
I got this at a brilliant price with the combination of a voucher. So value for money is right up there. Plenty hours of fun building this model, being my first one in a number of years it’s given me the itch to buy a few more
Easy to assemble as ever given it’s Lego, don’t hesitate!
Bought this as a gift and it was thoroughly enjoyed! The building was fun and the instructions easy to follow, love of Lego truly reignited. A wonderful piece to display long after completion too.
Mainly easy to follow instructions and good fun to build, my first attempt with technics Lego, would recommend to anyone looking to start with technics
Very good quality kit from Lego,it was a pleasant build and the instructions were very well detailed
I was impressed by the size and the quality
Well worth the money and makes a good addition to any Lego collectio
Really love this next of Lego for my 10yr son.
Son loves lego, so this is going to be a Xmas present, but we have other technic lego and son loves them, so he will be happy with this one to add to his collectio
It really does take persistence and persuasion to complete something like this my 11yr old, with COVID, took 5 days to complete this build, only a headache on day one, so reckon it was the new TV and Xbox One that distracted him from it!
Genuine product, the price was great. It was a gift.
A good Technic to get you started into the world of Lego, easy to assemble excellent price
This impressive looking version of the McLaren Senna GTR is only 36 And although it is not as big as some of the other more pricey ones in the Lego technic range there is still over 800 pieces. This works out at not even 1p per piece. Pretty good value.
The complete built car contains working steering that you can control from a a little twisty knob on the roof. Also on the engine block there are pistons that “fire” (move) as you drive. Lastly, the wing doors raise to show the interior containing two seats and a steering wheel which is unfortunately just for show. As with all Lego builds the instruction book supplied is clear, but the Technic sets are quite challenging compared to the normal Lego ones.
A minus of this set is it includes awful lot of stickers. These can be very tricky to apply on such small surface space with any accuracy, you could end up being quite frustrated. Apart from this, this technic set is good value and a good introduction to the more complex building of Lego Technic sets.
I thought his father might help but he lost interest early on but some nice engineering features
Bought as present for 9 year old very happy so all good
Bought for my sons birthday, he’s not opened it yet but we have had a few others like this that have been great. Delivered on time.
I hadn’t played with Lego since I was kid, so I wanted to start off small. This car is ideal for starting out. The instructions are clear to follow and it took me a few hours to complete. The build quality is of a high standard and it’s a decent size once built as well. Highly recommend this product to anyone and the price is amazing. I will be buying more in the near future
Another quality Lego model, an enjoyable build. I also managed to buy it when it was at a discounted price, so result !
Really enjoyed putting this together, took a couple of hours , great piece when finished, looking forward to another build
This was bought for a birthday present from my 7yo son to his Daddy for them to do together, but my son ended up doing it all himself – he absolutely loved it! He loves Lego Technics builds and did this one in 3/4 sittings, even getting up early before school to do it, he enjoyed it so much. Some technics kits are very expensive so this was great value for money and my son loved doing it and now plays with the finished product.
Lego isn’t cheap, but for around 30 this, in my opinion, offers good value for money.
A high part count, coupled with decent instructions (although they could be clearer in places) produces a lovely looking finished product.
I do get a little annoyed at Lego’s propensity for producing new pieces for specific shapes rather than using multiple existing parts to get the same result. Somehow, it takes away from the challenge I experienced many years ago with the very first technical lego kits.
my grandson was very happy to receive the lego Technic Mc Laren Senna GTR
Great looking model but some of the pieces were just to fiddly
If your buying for your kids. Good luck. If your a teenager or adult. This is great fun just remember to follow the instructions as it can be rarther confusing at times.
A must for any Lego fan and great value for the money.
Nice set with easy to follow instructions and a good build time for the price, definitely good value for money. But so so many stickers to put o
Haven’t done lego 4 over 20 yrs!!! This was fun and enjoyable 2 do. Definitely going 2 get some more
Bought for a Lego fan in self isolation to relieve boredom. Deffo helped!
For the price point you get to make a surprisingly large model that’s brilliant to build and display after.
I’d say this kit hits the sweet spot of a decent price, a complex enough kit to be interesting and a sensible amount of time to build. The beautiful technic car kits at north of 100-200 are magnificent pieces of work, but they are also a significant financial and time commitment. This one is a generation ahead of the 18 Speed Champions kits, but only costs twice as much, so you get much more for your money. There are some nice touches like steering and an animated V8 engine, but it doesn’t extend to proper gearbox, differential and suspension like the top kits do. That said it’s a great medium level kit and very good looking when complete and looks something roughly like 1/12 scale, so it doesn’t take up as much shelf space as the really big car kits.
This is a challenging build for adults as well as children. The final build is very impressive and sturdy – as you would expect from Lego. Great value for money too.
As a lego lover, I love investing my time in building different models. This Mclaren Sienna model is one of my favorite and is definitely worth the price:)
Wanted this for a gift much cheaper than in Lego shop
It kept my daughter quiet for days whilst she built i
Quality lego construction, negatives, it’s not instantly recognisable, and it sits a bit too high on the wheels, apart from that an enjoyable set to build
Pros
– Extremely good value for money when you break down how many pieces you get compared to how much the set costs
– The stickers that come with the product are unique, and make the finished product look very premium compared to other Lego products
– The colour scheme is great.
Cons:
– It’s lego, so compared to other brick products the value for money isn’t that high. But you are paying for a superior product.
Overall: This makes the product look great as a display piece once it’s done, and it’s enjoyable to build it with just the right amount of parts.
On time, sure I’m going to have a very happy Grandson.
Bought as a gift for my grandson who was staying at my house for a few days and he loved it. Built in a day but he is very good with Lego.
Took me about 2 hours or so to complete this build. Amazing value considering the size and complexity of the set. Combines two great loves of mine, Lego and Racing Cars!
I bought this for man who was recuperating from accident, kept him occupied for hours!!!
Great fun, looks cool and was great to build. Didn’t realise there was scaling based sections in the instructions for 1:1 ratios.
My kid loves it, but the price has reduced compared to when I’ve brought it.
Absolutely brilliant. Don’t care about what anyone says but I love it. It’s senna so you can’t argue with that.
Excellent Lego set, well designed and accurately represented. A challenge but not too difficult.
Looks fantastic . Can’t wait to give to grandson in Aug. 2021
LEGO Tehnic is an interesting range that gives you the possibility to develop your creative building skills. Unfortunately this product has only one model that can be built.
I took me about 1 to 13 hours to complete this, great for getting into Zen mode.
Very fun to assemble, my boyfriend found it easy and amusing. Good conditions.
This was bought as a present. It was quite challenging to assemble but fitted together well and all the pieces were there. The recipient was happy with it.
Thoroughly enjoyed making this car. It is sufficiently demanding to make it a worthwhile task. I went wrong a couple of times, which meant a bit of dismantling. However, got there in the end and it makes a great display model. Difficulty is keeping young probing fingers away. Highly recommended and a saving on price at Amazon.
It looks good.It was given as a present and a challenge to the recipient due to the number of parts it was received very well and completed in good time.

My teenage son loves Lego and this is no exception. Great fun to build and a decent size on completion.
Easy to assemble, intresting build, one of my sons favourites to date.
This was Super fun to build, easy but also technical enough to get your brain to work.
Great to build when your having a hard day or need something to destress.
Must have purchase.
Bought as a gift for grandson’s birthday, I haven’t heard any complaints ye
I build them, my son plays with them. Generally how it goes. He’s love to build them, but he’s young and struggles with his hands, so putting the pins in are a challenge (for most of us). The build quality is excellent and my son pushes around everywhere without anything falling off (I’d hate to work out where a stray piece has come from!). I only buy these when on offer though, I find spending excessive amounts of lego to be outside of my interest.
Excellent kit with good instructions.
Also looks fantastic when buil
I love the working pistons in the engine. Had fun with my 9yr old kid building it. I do wish the parts were screen printed rather than stickers, but I know that’s an unrealistic wish really, it’s just something that bugs me with all Lego models.
There are quite a few stickers but it does look good. For the money this is great value.
Bought this for my son at university as a surprise during lockdown, he was over the moon and said that it made his week. He really appreciated it, had to build it straight away.
Great product and a lot of fun to put it together! Had a lot of fun building this. Was challenging enough but not too difficult. Car looks great finished
Bought for my lego-mad husband. He was so happy to get it. Standard Lego Technic quality and usually for a better price than Lego themselves sell them for.
This looks amazing & for the price is an excellent addition to my collection. Who does t love Lego & this was exactly what I needed to be able to chill out & relax.
Great addition to the collection, great job by McLaren and LEGO
Very happy. Adult recipient who I gifted this too was really impressed. They said for the price it was great quality and was fun to make.
The final outcome a model showing how the car works and the detail
Loved lego technic as young kids back in the day lol and decided to purchase the Mclaren car during lockdown. Best 4.5 hours spent in a long time and brought so many childhood memories
Lego toys are always so great they really helps children to concentrate on how to sit for a long period of time to complete an activity my 10-year-old enjoyed building this it took her a couple of minutes around 45 minutes.
such a great activity many schools have included Legos in their curriculum as it really helps children who fidgets and get agitated easily to concentrate.
so why not help your children with concentrating by getting them something that they enjoy doing.
Another really nice Lego set. I have a couple of the bigger ones, but this new Lego car was really fun to build. Super satisfied by the final result.
10 year old struggled in certain areas, but after been helped with a bit of encouragement he loved it !!!
With 830 pieces, this is a great option for kids, teens or adults to construct. It features a detailed V8 engine with moving pistons and doors that open up and out in the style of the real McLaren supercar. With numbered bags, it’s a great help for the construction and the design and likeness of the original car is truly remarkable, A very impressive product and great value for money. A definite 5*.
I ordered this for my 9 year old son who is absolutely lego obsessed and he was utterly thrilled to receive this.
Age guidelines says 10+, which is probably true unless you have a young lego genius. Although I would say that most adults would love this too.
Comes with a 130+ page detailed instruction manual- my little boy saw this and said “wow look how amazing this is” and I thought “this will take forever.”
As it happens it took him just over a week (on and off when not doing school work) to complete- it certainly requires dedication, but is such a great finished piece.
Attention to detail is fantastic on this item and it works as a push along car once complete (see video which my son has placed an Easter chick as the driver).
Appears sturdy once made so there’s plenty of fun to be had with it, before he decided to take it apart and start the fun all over again.
When I ordered this it retailed at 50 which I thought was reasonable for what you got and the amount of hours it takes to complete. I’ve since looked and it’s just under 35, which I feel is excellent value for money.
Overall my little boy was absolutely thrilled with this- certainly increased concentration levels and the finished result is high quality. We’ve been very pleased with this and more than happy to recommend.
Easy to assemble, and a good price for the size
I ordered this as I have been thinking about getting into doing Lego as a way to desires after long and busy days at work.
I have to say not only has it helped but I was incredibly surprised at the amount of detail and effort that goes into these.
All in all it probably took me some where between 3 and 4 hours spread out over a few nights. The instructions are fantastic to follow and are broken down into the three main section with each section having a corresponding numbered bag of pieces. Methodically making your way through this was very relaxing for me and it’s amazing to see what seems like random pieces come together to from such a complex and detailed model. On top of looking great it also has a number of moving parts. The doors open, the pistons in the engine move up and down as the car is pushed and there is a little control on the roof to steer with.
Overall I found it fantastic. My only minor gripe is manually putting the stickers on as I ended up with two not quite lined up properly but this is a minor complaint about a fantastic product.
Thanks Excellent design and kept me occupied for several days doing the assembly good fun and very interesting
This is an absolutely fab lego set and very good value for money.
I got this for my husband, he really loves cars and needed a good building project. He has enjoyed getting it out every now and then and doing some more on it. Would be perfect as a gift for someone who is home bored at the moment!
Price is good, this is an official lego set and the car looks awesome. So I honestly think it is worth the money.
Age is definitely aimed at someone older, I would say 13 and over to be sure that they are patient and confident enough to build. Though a younger child who is very good with building Lego may be fine too.
Over all I would definitely recommend this set!
I’ve always wanted one of these Technic supercar sets, but so far I have been priced out of getting one, with some sets costing well over 100. I was surprised then to learn that this impressive looking version of the McLaren Senna GTR was only 45! Obviously it is not as big as some of the other more expensive ones in the technic range, but it is still 830 pieces – a great price per piece ratio even taking into account that Technic sets tend to have a lot of small parts.
The size of the resulting vehicle is substantial, but as it is smaller than some of the other higher value sets, it can pretty much be displayed anywhere. The build features working steering that is controlled from a twistable knob on the roof. This is a rack and pinion design, just like my old 80s Technic forklift truck! There are also pistons on the engine block that “fire” (move) as you drive. Lastly, the gull wing doors raise to show the cabin interior containing two seats and a non-functional steering wheel. As usual with Lego, the supplied instructions are clear, but be aware that Technic sets are quite challenging, especially if you are used to building regular Lego (system) sets which only tend to employ a few Technic elements in their construction.
One thing to note is that this set has a large number of stickers, something not always popular among Lego fans. Whilst the application of these is a bit of a chore and it can be a pain to get them all just right, I personally like the look of the racing decals on the model. However, if you are one of those who likes to avoid applying stickers in favour of a more vanilla look, this set may not be for you. For some reason Lego have included two printed parts for the front wheel arches, which make the application of the additional decals via the stickers somewhat essential.
That aside, this is a fantastic mid range technic set that offers a challenging build and results in a great display model. Highly recommended, especially as an introduction to more complex and / or expensive sets in the range.
Because my naphew has always played Lego, he has basically completed everything independently when he is less than six years old. It took about ten hours to complete, and now he can’t put it down.
Ease of arrangement: Unfortunately, these special models have been put together, so I cannot bear to disassemble them. Nor can it be used on others lego set.
Material introduction: It is made of genuine Lego, with good material and no burrs. The stitching is very suitable, and there is no easy loosening of other copycat versions.
It’s an amazing product , my 12 years old son feeling excited about it. He is in the process of making it . Go for i
This is a good sized lego kit. It comes with instructions and 3 large bags of pieces- specifically numbered to be used for different parts of the build. I do prefer kits with numbered bags as it means you can just open one at once to find the relevant pieces.
This car is recommended for ages 10+. We gave it to our 9 year old who is fairly competent in building lego unaided. It took him about a week of building it for 1-2 hours a day to complete.
The instruction manuals are great, and I find the ‘actual size’ pictures in the corners useful when you’re looking for a piece where there are many similar.
It did require a small amount of adult support, but this was mostly to find the piece or remove a piece which had been put on in error.
Once built there are parts that move and the doors open upwards. It is very impressive how these models are designed with working parts.
The car looks great. It’s really eye catching with good colours and detail.
Highly impressed with this kit and would recommend to a sports car or lego fan!
This Lego technics set is suitable for ages 10+. It contains 830 pieces and may need some adult supervision/help if it is a younger person building. This car is absolutely awesome and looks great as a display piece as well as being able to play with it. The V8 engine has moving pistons, doors that open and you can steer using the wheel. I like the engineering aspect of building the model and it is much more of a challenge than standard Lego.
It measures over 3 Inch (9 cm) high, 12 Inch (32 cm) long and 4 Inch (12 cm) wide.
Great little build that my son thoroughly enjoyed. Quite a few stickers (46), but even at 10 he managed well with them.
This was a tricky build for us but felt like an achievement. It was very much a team effort for myself and our nine year old. It was our first proper Technic Lego we have attempted having convinced ourselves it wasn’t that big of a jump. It was (for us) more of a jump than we had realised. Lego’s numbered bags and clear instructions are great as always but we really had to pace ourselves to keep it fun and not frustrating. Our nine year old (and inner nine year old me) thinks the moving parts are very cool. It is quite big once finished and looks great on a shelf. The parts are especially specific to this build so it looks like it would be tricky to rethink them for different Technic models unless you are a Technic Lego pro.
Lego’s take on a detailed replica classic sports car. The moving parts are a nice touch to an otherwise static model. Quite large when assembled, although containing over 800 parts, the numbered bags and clear instructions make this car easy to build.
The main appeal of Lego is that many different objects can be built from one set, hampered by only the imagination. Non standard Lego shapes, designed for this model, make using the parts to build other designs difficult to accomplish. Nice set for the price, but limited in what can be assembled.
A very nice set to make, numbered bags are also a really big help, for the price it’s a really good se
